Illegal Alien From Charged With Brutally Raping Woman

By The Daily Caller. An illegal alien from El Salvador, who was previously deported from the U.S., was charged with the rape and a list of other charges after a woman in Long Island, New York, was attacked, beaten unconscious and was then raped.

Ever Martinez-Reyes, 24, was charged with rape, sexual assault, and other assault charges, and ordered to be held without bail at a Saturday arraignment, Fox News reported. Martinez-Reyes allegedly followed his female target around until he felt like he could get away with raping her, according to police. Martinez-Reyes originally entered the country illegally in 2010 before he was deported, however he illegally entered the U.S. again in 2014, according to ABC 7.

“When he assaulted her and knocked her out, he then proceeded to rape her,” Nassau Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder told Newsday. “She woke up and he knocked her out again and viciously continued to assault her.” (Read more from “Illegal Alien From Charged With Brutally Raping Woman” HERE)

Trump: ‘Tidal Wave’ of Illegal Immigration, Crime Coming If Democrats Win Midterms

By Breitbart. President Trump says a “tidal wave” of crime, illegal immigration, and drugs would flood into the United States if a plan by Senate Democrats is ever implemented.
During a campaign rally for Kansas gubernatorial candidate Kris Kobach in Topeka, Kansas, Trump called out Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-CA) plan for open borders that every Senate Democrat has announced they support.

“Every single Democrat in the U.S. Senate has signed up for the open borders, and it’s a bill, it’s called the open borders bill, what’s going on and it’s written by… guess who? Dianne Feinstein,” Trump said.

“If the Democrats’ bill ever becomes law, a tidal wave of drugs and crime would pour into our nation like never, ever before,” Trump continued. “Democrats also support deadly sanctuary cities that release violent predators and blood-thirsty killers like MS-13 into our communities.”

Kobach echoed Trump’s denouncing of Democrats’ support for illegal immigration, saying, “It’s time to put Kansans first, not illegal aliens.” (Read more from “Trump: ‘Tidal Wave’ of Illegal Immigration, Crime Coming If Democrats Win Midterms” HERE)

UFC Fighter Derrick Lewis reportedly told the crowd in Las Vegas that President Donald Trump called him prior to his bout to offer words of encouragement against a foreign adversary.

Watch: Graham Throws Down the Gauntlet, Challenges Schumer in Fiery Interview

Democrats have already threatened to investigate — or even try to impeach — Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh should they retake control of the House after November’s midterm elections.

On Sunday, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham (R) responded to the news by throwing down a challenge to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.). . .

At first, when asked about the threat, made primarily by Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) who is the ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee, Graham vowed to campaign against his congressional colleagues in the run up to November’s elections, something he said he’s never done before.

“I’ve never campaigned against a colleague in my life. That’s about to change. I’m gonna go throughout this country and let people in these, you know, purple states, red states where Trump won know what I think about this process,” Graham said on “Fox News Sunday.” . . .

“Here’s my point. This is a list that was compiled in November, but [Trump] actually put it out during the campaign. There are 20-something people on this list. I’m asking Chuck Schumer: name five, name three, name one that would be okay with you,” Graham said.

ISIS Sex Trafficking Victim and Nobel Peace Prize Winner Tells Harrowing Story of What She Endured

By The Blaze. Nadia Murad was living a quiet life in Northern Iraq in 2014 when an unimaginable terror suddenly took it all away. ISIS jihadists kidnapped Murad and forced her into sex trafficking.

Murad, now 25, was recently awarded the 2018 Noble Peace Prize jointly with Congolese gynecologist Denis Mukwege. He is also an activist against sexual violence and specializes in treating women who were raped by rebel forces. Murad received the award for her activism against sex trafficking. . .

Following her year-and-a-half ordeal as a sex trafficking victim, Murad was able to escape while she was being transported out of Iraq. In early 2015, she went to Germany seeking refuge. A few months later, Murad began campaigning to raise awareness about human trafficking, the Guardian reported.

Speaking before a United Nations panel, Murad explained the part of the levity of what she witnessed:

“…the children who died of dehydration fleeing Isis, the families still stranded on the mountain, the thousands of women and children who remained in captivity, and what my brothers saw at the site of the massacre. I was only one of hundreds of thousands of Yazidi victims.”

Nobel Peace Prize: I Was an ISIS Sex Slave. I Tell My Story Because It Is the Best Weapon I Have

By The Guardian. The slave market opened at night. We could hear the commotion downstairs where militants were registering and organising, and when the first man entered the room, all the girls started screaming. It was like the scene of an explosion. We moaned as though wounded, doubling over and vomiting on the floor, but none of it stopped the militants. They paced around the room, staring at us, while we screamed and begged. They gravitated toward the most beautiful girls first, asking, “How old are you?” and examining their hair and mouths. “They are virgins, right?” they asked a guard, who nodded and said, “Of course!” like a shopkeeper taking pride in his product. Now the militants touched us anywhere they wanted, running their hands over our breasts and our legs, as if we were animals. . .

“Calm down!” militants kept shouting at us. “Be quiet!” But their orders only made us scream louder. If it was inevitable that a militant would take me, I wouldn’t make it easy for him. I howled and screamed, slapping away hands that reached out to grope me. Other girls were doing the same, curling their bodies into balls on the floor or throwing themselves across their sisters and friends to try to protect them.

While I lay there, another militant stopped in front of us. He was a high-ranking militant named Salwan who had come with another girl, another young Yazidi from Hardan, who he planned to drop off at the house while he shopped for her replacement. “Stand up,” he said. When I didn’t, he kicked me. “You! The girl with the pink jacket! I said, stand up!” . . .

Attacking Sinjar [in northern Iraq] and taking girls to use as sex slaves wasn’t a spontaneous decision made on the battlefield by a greedy soldier. Islamic State planned it all: how they would come into our homes, what made a girl more or less valuable, which militants deserved a sabaya [sex slave] as incentive and which should pay. They even discussed sabaya in their glossy propaganda magazine, Dabiq, in an attempt to draw new recruits. But Isis is not as original as its members think it is. Rape has been used throughout history as a weapon of war. I never thought I would have something in common with women in Rwanda – before all this, I didn’t know that a country called Rwanda existed – and now I am linked to them in the worst possible way, as a victim of a war crime that is so hard to talk about that no one in the world was prosecuted for committing it until just 16 years before Isis came to Sinjar. The Dem Staffer Arrested for Doxxing Republican Senators Wasn’t an Intern

A Democratic staffer arrested last week on charges that he revealed the personal information of several Republican Senate Judiciary Committee members was not an “intern” for Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), as originally reported. The 27-year-old career staffer, Jackson Cosko, was, instead, reportedly a “fellow” paid by an “outside institution” who served as a primary adviser in Lee’s Congressional office.

According to the Tennessee Star, “[w]hile [Lee] claims Cosko was an ‘unpaid intern’ in her office, the Washington Post reports that Cosko was actually a ‘fellow.’ This was confirmed by Cosko’s lawyer, who said his client was a ‘fellow’ in Jackson-Lee’s office and that he was being paid by an ‘outside institution.'”

The “outside institution” has yet to be named, but the position of “fellow” is much different from that of “intern.” According to correspondence from Lee’s office, Cosko was routinely trusted to advise Lee and communicate with other members of Congress, specifically those co-sponsoring Lee’s bills.

As the Tennessee Star points out, that raises questions: “It seems clear Cosko isn’t some unlucky and overzealous intern who got caught being a naughty boy. Rather, it seems Cosko might be a Democratic operative, paid by an outside organization, planted in an unpopular congresswoman’s office possibly so he could engage in exactly the type of behavior that just got him arrested.” (Read more from “The Dem Staffer Arrested for Doxxing Republican Senators Wasn’t an Intern” HERE)

U.S. Service Member Killed in Afghanistan Is Identified

By Fox News. The Pentagon has identified the U.S. service member killed in action last week in Afghanistan.

Sgt. James Allen Slape, 23, had gotten out of his vehicle in Helmand Province Thursday and was working to clear the area of explosives when a bomb detonated, the Charlotte Observer reported.

Slape was evacuated to a medical facility but staffers there were unable to save him, according to Commmander Grant Neeley, a NATO Resolute Support mission spokesman.

Slape was assigned to the 60th Troop Command of the North Carolina Army National Guard of Washington, N.C. (Read more from “U.S. Service Member Killed in Afghanistan Is Identified” HERE)

U.S. Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

By CBS News. U.S. officials have identified the American soldier who was killed in Afghanistan earlier this week. The Department of Defense said Spc. James A. Slape, 23, from Morehead City, North Carolina, was killed on Thursday after suffering wounds from an improvised explosive device (IED). . .

North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper issued a statement honoring Slape.

“On behalf of the people of North Carolina, I honor the service and sacrifice of Sgt. James Slape and offer our deepest sympathy to his loved ones and his fellow soldiers,” Cooper said, according to CBS affiliate WFMY.

Slape joined the North Carolina National Guard in 2013 and graduated from the Explosive Ordnance School in 2015. His unit deployed to Afghanistan in April of this year, WFMY reports.

The U.S. military is mainly focused on supporting Afghan forces in the fight against extremist groups in eastern Afghanistan. There are roughly 14,000 American troops in Afghanistan. Seven U.S. service members have been killed in 2018, the Associated Press reports. (Read more from “U.S. Soldier Killed in Afghanistan” HERE)

Florida Declares State of Emergency as Tropical Storm Michael Forecast to Become Hurricane

Florida Gov. Rick Scott announced Sunday that he had declared a state of emergency in 26 counties in the state’s Panhandle and Big Bend regions as forecasters predicted Tropical Storm Michael would make landfall as a Category 2 hurricane later this week. . .

“This storm will be life-threatening and extremely dangerous,” said Scott, who also warned of hurricane-driven storm surge that could affect most of the state: “If this storm hits Panama City, Tampa could still have storm surge.”

As of 5 p.m. Sunday, the Miami-based National Hurricane Center said Michael had maximum sustained winds of 50 miles per hour and warned that the threat to residents along the northeastern U.S. Gulf Coast was “increasing.” The forecast called for the storm’s eye to move across the eastern Gulf of Mexico between Monday night and Tuesday night and approach the Gulf Coast on Wednesday. . .

Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, who is the Democratic nominee for governor, had planned to campaign in South Florida Monday and Tuesday, but he said he would return to Tallahassee to help with storm preparations. . .

A tropical storm warning was in effect for the Cuban provinces of Pinar del Rio and the Isle of Youth as well as the coast of Mexico from Tulum to Cabo Catoche. A warning indicates tropical storm conditions are expected, in this case, within 24 hours. As Catholic Scandal Unfolds, Pope Francis Looks Increasingly Blameworthy

The recent publication of a devastating report on Pope Francis in the German news magazine Der Spiegel marks a new phase in the continuing crisis in the Catholic Church. The report (as yet unavailable in English) is entitled: “Thou shalt not lie: The silence of the shepherds.”

Contradicting the widespread image of Pope Francis as a “reformer” concerned to expose clerical sexual abuses within his church and punish the offenders, the report reveals a pope who for years has been indifferent to the complaints of abuse survivors, and has surrounded himself with an inner circle of close advisors, several of whom have been accused of cover-ups. . .

The report is the carefully documented result of hard journalistic work, some of it in Argentina, where Francis, then Jorge Bergoglio, had been cardinal archbishop before his elevation to the papacy in 2013. It also gives voice to ordinary lay Catholics whose complaints about clerical sex abuse Francis has studiously rejected or ignored. These charges do not come from Vatican insiders who want a grudge match with Francis over doctrinal differences.

For example: An Argentine woman, Julieta Añazco, says that a priest sexually abused her when she was six years old. She and 13 other survivors wrote to the pope shortly after his election. They have had no reply. A defender of Argentine abuse survivors, Juan Pablo Gallego, says that in Argentina, Francis is suspected of having protected rapists and child abusers “for years.” This witness points to a certain Fr. Grassi, now in prison for raping teenage boys. Francis ordered a legal report to defend Grassi. . .

Der Spiegel is a major European news outlet with a left-leaning bias. No one could seriously suspect it of wanting to do a hatchet job on Francis because of ideological differences. In fact, early in Francis’ Papacy, Der Spiegel published an adulatory article on him, describing him as a pope who would “clean up the Catholic Church and improve its image.” (Read more from “As Catholic Scandal Unfolds, Pope Francis Looks Increasingly Blameworthy” HERE)

I’m an Immigrant, Minority Woman Going Republican Over Democrats’ Treatment of Kavanaugh

I have become a unicorn. My metamorphosis didn’t require a magic spell or potion, or even a trip to a well-reviewed plastic surgeon to add a horn to my head. All it took was Democrats’ treatment of Brett Kavanaugh over the last few weeks to turn me into that elusive creature: a minority, immigrant woman who supports Republicans.

I moved to the United States from Trinidad and Tobago eight years ago when I married my husband, Christopher, former U.S. Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia’s eighth (and, in my opinion, most lovable) child. Some people might read that and think, “Well, that’s no surprise then; Justice Scalia’s daughter-in-law is hardly likely to be anything but Republican!”

But they would be wrong. I’ve always considered myself politically moderate: I am unapologetically pro-life, but my views on affirmative action, Black Lives Matter, and gun control made me sympathize strongly with Democratic perspectives and occasionally led to arguments with my husband and father-in-law. . .

Fast-forward to 2018, and Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court. Protests and vows to block him by any means, “using every available tool,” followed almost immediately. Anybody paying attention knew that things were about to get interesting. Unfortunately, things got less interesting than ugly and convinced me that Democrats are not who they claim to be.

The party that established itself as a champion for the voiceless, powerless, and wrongfully accused, betrayed its values and launched a vicious attack on Kavanaugh that left him voiceless, powerless, and completely incapable of defending himself. Against all logic and good faith, they released uncorroborated allegations of sexual misconduct to the public, counting on the backdrop of the Me Too movement to make them that much harder to criticize or ignore. I still cannot reconcile these actions with the social and criminal justice reform platforms that Democrats campaign on. Actress’ Meltdown Over Kavanaugh Is the Symbolic Liberal Freak out That’s Occurring Throughout the Country

Actress Alyssa Milano is known as an outspoken liberal activist. It’s no secret and she doesn’t try to hide her political affiliation.

After the Senate confirmed Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court on Saturday, Milano took to Twitter to express herself. Prepare yourself. It’s a bit much (as with all of her typical liberal meltdowns).

Nothing is happening under any of our noses. And Trump isn’t hiding it. Whether or not someone pays attention to politics is their choice.
