Scumbag: Some Jerk Drained the Bank Account of America’s Oldest Living Veteran

Some thief committed identity fraud and stole every penny out of the bank account of America’s oldest living veteran, Richard Overton. The good news, though, is that a previously created GoFundMe has already accumulated more than $300,000 to help recoup the losses.

Richard Overton, aged 112, is the oldest living veteran in the United States. His personal information is readily available online, and his family members say that somebody must have taken it to “hack” into his personal bank account and take his life’s savings.

Someone used his account to purchase savings bonds with Treasury Direct, Richard Overton’s cousin Volma Overton Jr. said. He added that the purchases had been happening for a “couple of months.”

Volma Overton discovered the account discrepancy when he deposited money into Richard Overton’s personal account, then went to the bank to check the balance. All that was in there was the money he had just deposited.

“I looked at it — what the hell are these debits?” Volma Overton recalled thinking when a bank employee pulled up the statement showing the money went to Treasury Direct. He said the bank has been very helpful and that he’s also sent a letter to Treasury Direct. The family has not notified police.

Clintons Slammed With $1.5 Billion Case

Former Secret Service agent Gary Byrne has filed a mega-RICO civil lawsuit against Bill and Hillary Clinton, their foundation, John Podesta, Media Matters, David Brock and even George Soros charging they are involved in an epic criminal conspiracy against him because of his role in the impeachment and his authorship of a tell-all 2016 book called “Crisis of Character: A White House Secret Service Officer Discloses His Firsthand Experience with Hillary, Bill, and How They Operate.”

But he’ll have his work cut out for him. The judge assigned to the case in D.C. District Court, Paul L. Friedman, is a Bill Clinton appointee.

Byrne asserts, among other charges, he was the victim illegal domestic and electronic surveillance at the hands of the conspiracy – especially leading up the 2016 election. . .

“For the past decade in which relevant predicate acts were corruptly carried out by the named defendants as ‘payback’ for Plaintiff Gary Byrne’s role in the Clinton impeachment and his status as a ‘Clinton enemy’ (for his temerity in telling the truth concerning obstruction of justice and gross abuse of power), along with their corrupt surrogates and collaborators (referenced individually and collectively as the ‘Enterprise’), David Brock and William and Hillary Clinton have been synonymous with criminal behavior, malicious baseless attacks (using mainly the illicit and vicious defamatory tactics against perceived political enemies (like Officer Gary Byrne, the Plaintiff here) of those willing to compensate participants like Brock) – and coordinating by mail and wire to violate myriad Federal and State laws in the exploitation of Enterprise nonprofit entities they use for purely partisan purposes,” Byrne says in his summary of the case.

He’s suing for more than $1.5 billion in damages for alleged violations of nearly 500 statutes. (Read more from “Clintons Slammed With $1.5 Billion Case” HERE)

Black Man Carries out Mass-Stabbing at Child’s Birthday Party

By ABC News. In an act of “pure evil,” a knife-wielding man stormed a 3-year-old girl’s birthday party at an apartment complex in Boise, Idaho, stabbing her, five other children and three adults — all refugees who had fled violence in their homelands only to find it in America, police said.

The man, whom police identified as Timothy Kinner, 30, was arrested in connection with the frenzied attack Saturday night.

The suspect’s motive was “vengeance” for being asked to leave an apartment in the complex due to his behavior, Boise Police Chief Bill Bones said during an emotional news conference Sunday afternoon.

“Our victims are some of the newest members of our community. They’re victims from their past homes who have fled violence from Syria, Iraq, and Ethiopia,” Bones said. . .

Bones said Kinner is from Los Angeles and had been invited to stay for a few days at the apartment of a renter who had shown him compassion, Bones said. But due to his disruptive behavior, Kinner was asked to leave the apartment on Friday, the chief said. (Read more from “Black Man Carries out Mass-Stabbing at Child’s Birthday Party” HERE)

SPLC Finally Held Responsible for Falsely Labeling People as ‘Extremists’

After being sued in April by Islamic reformer Maajid Nawaz and his organization, the Quilliam Foundation—over being listed as an “anti-Muslim extremist” in the Southern Poverty Law Center’s “Field Guide to Anti-Muslim Extremists”—the SPLC has announced that they reached a settlement with the liberal Islamic reformer, agreeing to pay Nawaz and Quilliam $3.375 million “to fund their work to fight anti-Muslim bigotry and extremism.”

“The Southern Poverty Law Center was wrong to include Maajid Nawaz and the Quilliam Foundation in our Field Guide to Anti-Muslim Extremists. Since we published the Field Guide, we have taken the time to do more research and have consulted with human rights advocates we respect,” SPLC president Richard Cohen said in a statement. “We’ve found that Mr. Nawaz and Quilliam have made valuable and important contributions to public discourse, including by promoting pluralism and condemning both anti-Muslim bigotry and Islamist extremism. Although we may have our differences with some of the positions that Mr. Nawaz and Quilliam have taken, they are most certainly not anti-Muslim extremists. We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to Mr. Nawaz, Quilliam, and our readers for the error, and we wish Mr. Nawaz and Quilliam all the best.

The list, which was published in 2016 and deleted shortly after Nawaz filed the suit, was reportedly intended to serve as a resource for journalists. The deletion of his inclusion as an “extremist”—a very serious accusation—came nearly two years the Muslim reformer first demanded the organization retract. The fact that it took litigation before he was removed from the list, despite requesting to be taken off of the list two years earlier, reveals the organization almost certainly had no intention of removing him without legal challenge.

“It’s a shame that it took impending litigation for the Southern Poverty Law Center to finally set the record straight and admit it was wrong all along,” Megan Meier, a partner at Clare Locke, the law firm that represented Nawaz, said in a statement provided to National Review. “Quilliam and Mr. Nawaz do admirable work, and we are honored to have restored their reputations and achieved this victory on their behalf.”

Therein lies the problem, as critics say that the SPLC operates as more of a partisan progressive hit operation than an actual civil rights watchdog group, and nefariously utilizes its position as an arbiter of hatred by including legitimate partisan ideologues as “extremists” alongside white supremacists in an effort to rile up its liberal donor base as it simultaneously pushes a partisan political agenda.

The SPLC has previously included Senator Rand Paul and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson on extremist lists (Paul for suggesting private businesses shouldn’t have to adhere to the Civil Rights Act and criticizing the Fair Housing Act; Carson for his views opposing same-sex marriage), according to Politico.

Carson was eventually removed from the “extremist watch” list and the group issued an apology after the absurdity of his inclusion became a widespread topic of derision across the conservative media spectrum. But the entire episode led to a more clear realization of the intrinsically politicized nature of the SPLC.

“Time and again, I see the SPLC using the reputation it gained decades ago fighting the Klan as a tool to bludgeon mainstream politically conservative opponents,” Cornell Law Professor and critic of the SPLC, William Jacobson said. “For groups that do not threaten violence, the use of SPLC ‘hate group’ or ‘extremist’ designations frequently are exploited as an excuse to silence speech and speakers. It taints not only the group or person but others who associate with them.”

The controversial group similarly branded Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a Somali- and Muslim-born critic of the religion, as an “extremist” for advocating the abolition the atrocious practice of female genital mutilation, which she herself was subject to as a child.

The SPLC’s targeting of Nawaz, who is a former Islamist turned anti-extremism advocate and recognized human rights advocate, even sparked critical coverage in The Atlantic—a publication founded by abolitionists.

But perhaps the most critical problem is the legitimacy given to the SPLC by four of the world’s biggest tech platforms, as revealed in an exclusive investigation by the Daily Caller News Foundation, which showed Facebook, Amazon, Google and Twitter all utilize the SPLC, which routinely labels conservative organizations as “hate groups,” to police their platforms for “hate speech.”

The investigation revealed that while Amazon gives the SPLC the most direct authority over its platform, all of the aforementioned tech companies give the progressive organization a significant amount of influence within their platforms.

“We remove organizations that the SPLC deems as ineligible,” an Amazon spokeswoman told the DCNF.

Amazon grants the SPLC that power “because we don’t want to be biased whatsoever,” the spokeswoman said. However, she could not say whether Amazon considers the SPLC to be unbiased.

Consequently, Christian legal groups such as Alliance Defending Freedom—which recently successfully represented a Christian baker before the Supreme Court—are banned from using the Amazon Smile program, while openly anti-Semitic groups are allowed on the platform, according to the report.

“Charitable organizations must meet the requirements outlined in our participation agreement to be eligible for AmazonSmile. Organizations that engage in, support, encourage, or promote intolerance, hate, terrorism, violence, money laundering, or other illegal activities are not eligible. If at any point an organization violates this agreement, its eligibility will be revoked,” an Amazon spokeswoman said in an additional statement.

“Since 2013, Amazon has relied on the US Office of Foreign Assets Control and the Southern Poverty Law Center to help us make these determinations. While this system has worked well, we do listen to and consider the feedback of customers and other stakeholders, which we will do here as well,” the spokeswoman added.

Additionally, the Daily Caller report went on to note that Google uses the SPLC to police “hate speech” on YouTube:

Google uses the SPLC to help police hate speech on YouTube as part of YouTube’s “Trusted Flagger” program, The Daily Caller reported in February, citing a source with knowledge of the agreement. Following that report, the SPLC confirmed they’re policing hate speech on YouTube.

The SPLC and other third-party groups in the “Trusted Flagger” program work closely with YouTube’s employees to crack down on extremist content in two ways, according to YouTube.

First, the flaggers are equipped with digital tools allowing them to mass flag content for review by YouTube personnel. Second, the groups act as guides to YouTube’s content monitors and engineers who design the algorithms policing the video platform, but may lack the expertise needed to tackle a given subject.

The SPLC is one of over 300 government agencies and nongovernmental organizations in the YouTube program, the vast majority of which remain hidden behind confidentiality agreements.

So, we have an organization that has no issues with putting Rand Paul on a list of “extremists” being given control of the modern informational gateways of society. If this group is willing to classify people like Ben Carson and Paul as “extremists,” they cannot be realistically trusted to determine what is “hate speech” worthy of removal—also referred to as censorship.

Essentially, what you have is a partisan ideological organization masquerading as a legitimate civil right group that has operationalized as a censorship mechanism for the masses. By simply equating a person or organization with “extremism,” the SPLC—in concert with the big tech companies—has the ability to effectively delegitimize them across the mass media spectrum, which will dutifully report whatever the SPLC deems as truth. Record-Setting Baby Boom at U.S. Hospital — 48 Born in 41 Hours

By The Blaze. Forty-eight babies were born at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center over a period of less than two days this past week, setting a new record for the Fort Worth, Texas, hospital, KTXA-TV reported.

The number of births amounted to an average of more than one baby an hour, and the nursery is bracing for more, according to the report. . .

“There’s always talk about full moon. We definitely had a big full moon this week,” OB-GYN Dr. Jamie Erwin told the TV station. “Maybe there is something to that as well, maybe not. But it’s always a busy time of the year.”

Texas state records back it up. Most babies in the state are born in either July, August or September, the report states. (Read more from “Record-Setting Baby Boom at U.S. Hospital — 48 Born in 41 Hours” HERE)

It’s a Baby Boom! 48 Babies Delivered in 41 Hours at Baylor

By CBS. The nursery at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth has never been as full as it has in the last 41 hours. And, the halls have never been so busy.

Since June 26, 48 babies were born in less than 2 days. That’s an average of more than one baby an hour. And, there’s definitely a lively discussion here about why. . .

Nursing director Michelle Stemley’s phone blew up with messages on Wednesday.

“People were asking about staffing,” she recalled. “I was like, ‘what’s going on?’ ”

But, she said the hospital was prepared. Extra staff was called in; pizza ordered and even after 48 babies in a short span of time, they are ready for more. “We are trained for this,” she said. (Read more from “It’s a Baby Boom! 48 Babies Delivered in 41 Hours at Baylor” HERE)

Journalists Blame ‘Fake News’ for Shooting, Claim Criticism Is Now off Limits

Liberal media outlets have more than lived up to the “fake news” moniker President Trump bestowed on them following the election, after they ginned up the term to excuse Hillary Clinton’s loss. Now they are using the Annapolis shooting to assert they should no longer be criticized by President Trump — or anyone in the press — for shoddy reporting.

The man who killed four journalists inside the Capital Gazette newsroom on Thursday had a long running beef with the paper, because it reported in 2011 he was convicted for harassing a woman online. He sued for defamation, but the judge threw out his case. There is zero evidence his decision to open fire in the newsroom had anything to do with media criticism.

Nevertheless, journalists are trying to use the dead reporters as a shield against future criticism of their work. . .

Another White House reporter doubled down on his charge that Trump “caused” the shooting, after he learned the shooter’s motive. “I stand by what I said,” Andrew Feinberg tweeted. “You cannot be POTUS, hold rally after rally to attack reporters, calling them fake, disgusting/dishonest & not expect someone to think shooting them is ok.”

. . .

Huffington Post reporter Matt Fuller asserted journalists should “cool down the media criticism” because of the shooting.

Billionaire Democrat Donor Calls for ‘Nuclear War’ to Stop Trump

Billionaire Democrat donor Tom Steyer called for a “nuclear war” to stop President Trump — then took back his comment after the interviewer called his point “sobering.”

“Maybe we can have, like, a nuclear war and then we get a real course correction,” Steyer told The Rolling Stone in an interview published Friday. He was elaborating on his belief that it is imperative for Congress to impeach Trump immediately, because the “checks and balances system” set up in the constitution isn’t working, and the only other option is to wait around for economic disaster and war. . .

DICKINSON: In a recent interview you suggested not impeaching Trump is normalizing him. What do you mean?

STEYER: Once you don’t speak up against lawlessness, lawlessness is permitted. …

It’s like being at a dinner party and somebody makes a racial slur and you speak up and say, ‘I think that’s really wrong, and you should take that back,’ and everyone says, ‘Ooooh, you’re making a big fuss here.’ Like, yeah, we’re making a big fuss – because something is wrong. Everyone’s acting as though it’s somehow impolite to stand up for American democracy.

FEC Decision Clears Joe Miller’s 2016 Campaign of All Complaints; Shows Blatant Lies Used for Political Effect, Extreme Alaska Media Bias

In a decisive rebuke to Alaska Republican Party Chairman Tuckerman Babcock and Senator Lisa Murkowski, the Federal Election Commission has dismissed the party’s 2016 complaints against Joe Miller. Clearly, the allegations were trumped-up with intent to further a smear campaign inaugurated against Miller in 2010 and damage his electoral prospects.

There were several alleged violations in the ARP complaint, most dealing with Joe Miller’s website owned by Restoring Liberty LLC of which Miller is the sole proprietor.

Alaska Republican Party Chairman Tuckerman Babcock falsely claimed in a sworn affidavit that Joe Miller, his campaign committee, his corporate entity, and/or corporate donors to his corporate entity:

· Made illegal corporate contributions to the Miller campaign
· Illegally accepted in-kind contributions from corporate sponsors
· Illegally accepted other unlawful in-kind contributions
· Accepted campaign resources from corporations without paying fair value
· Transferred use of corporate social media accounts without paying fair value
· Advertised for donations on his corporate website without paying fair value
· Made numerous solicitations for campaign contributions without proper disclaimers
· Utilized campaign material without proper disclaimers
· Solicited donations via radio communications without proper disclaimers
· Failed to properly disclose campaign receipts and expenditures
· Fabricated certain in-kind donations

None of which the Federal Election Commission found to be true.

Given the nature of this corporate entity, a candidate’s ability to legally self-fund without limit, the lack of any substantiated violations of required reporting, and the press exemption in the law, the FEC finding determined: “ . . . the circumstances in this case support dismissal . . . [and] an enforcement action would not be an efficient use of the Commission’s resources.”

Regarding the disclosure allegations, the finding was that “the information in the record suggests that the Committee sent a single email with an inadequate disclaimer, but the mistake was quickly identified and corrected. In addition, the email identified the Committee as the sender and included the Committee’s mailing address, thus recipients had some information as to who was responsible for it. There is no information indicating the Committee’s other communications violated the Commission’s disclaimer requirements.”

FEC findings also addressed the allegation that Citizens for Joe Miller failed to report, or misreported contributions.

“The reporting allegations appear to be unsupported. The Committee reported the in-kind contributions for the use of Miller’s vehicle and campaign headquarters, and although the Complaint alleges that some of those reported amounts were too high, the information does not indicate that those amounts were unreasonable. Additionally, there is no information showing that the Committee inflated the value of any in-kind contribution in order to reimburse Miller for more than its value.”

It is clear from the FEC ruling that the Commission deemed them, at best, irrelevant and without merit.

Nevertheless, in making their false charges, Tuckerman Babcock and Lisa Murkowski (on whose behalf these dirty tricks were executed) have demonstrated again a willingness to play fast and loose with the truth, as well as a blatant disregard for good faith and fair dealing. It appears their complaint was filed simply as a political weapon without regard for its veracity.

Is this the way Alaska Republicans want to be represented by their leadership?

Miller spokesman Randy DeSoto noted that “much like the liar fliers sent out with apparent laundered money from the Murkowski campaign, these charges were obviously an attempt to gain unfair advantage in a federal election and deflect attention from ARP’s dirty dealing. This is absolute vindication for Joe Miller.”

Desoto is right. This federal decision once again underscores the mendacity of the Republican Establishment, and their willingness to lie, cheat and steal, if necessary, in order to prevail at the ballot box.

Sadly, the mainstream media swallowed their lies as fact, gave them the headlines they were looking for, and confirmed that they are indeed #FakeNews.

“It was clearly a calculated effort to further a false narrative hatched by Lisa Murkowski in 2010,” said Joe Miller. “The dishonesty of this cabal is notorious, and the mainstream media gladly rewards their treachery. No longer the guardian of free and fair elections, the fake news has become an agenda-driven corporatist enterprise that acts out much like a SuperPAC would, and always in the favor of entrenched power. Speaking truth to power is a thing of the past with respect to the press, unless there is convergence with the progressive agenda.”

A quick google search for “Federal Election Commission complaint, Alaska Republican Party” reveals the following headlines: “Alaska Republican Party Files Elections Complaint Against Joe Miller” (KTUU); “FEC Accepts Alaska GOP Complaint Against Joe Miller” (MustReadAlaska) [100% misleading]; “Alaska GOP Says Joe Miller Broke Campaign Finance Laws” (Alaska Dispatch News, aka www.adn.com); “Alaska GOP Accuses Joe Miller of Campaign Finance Violations” (Alaska Public Radio, aka www.alaskapublic.org); “Alaska Republican Party Claims Joe Miller Violated Election Laws” (KTVA); “Alaska GOP Chair Files Election Complaint Against Miller” (Fairbanks Daily News-Miner); “Alaska GOP Files Complaint Against Libertarian Joe Miller” (Roll Call).

Not a single headline about a still-pending FEC complaint filed on the same day against Lisa Murkowski and her shill front group Alaska Republican Party. And remember, this search didn’t even include Joe Miller’s name.

Any impartial observer would have to admit this is anything but fair coverage, and now it has also been revealed to be false and misleading.

If your politicians lie to you with impunity (and most do these days), it is only because their enablers in the mainstream (read corporate) press empower them to do so. Stop believing the fake news. The future of our Republic depends on it.

James Woods Drops Porn Lawyer Michael Avenatti in One Tweet

With the assistance of the mainstream media, Michael Avenatti has made quite a name for himself after taking on client Stormy Daniels, a porn star who claims she had unprotected sex with Donald Trump in 2006 when he was married to his wife Melania, soon after the couple had son Barron. But, according to politically active actor James Woods, the attorney’s time is just about up.

In typical Woods fashion, the iconic actor informed Avenatti that he’s now “the chum of history” — alongside Black Lives Matter activist DeRay McKesson and anti-gun activist David Hogg — in one concise, hard-hitting tweet.

. . .

Woods was reacting to a tweet from the lawyer which Woods seemingly took as a cheap way for Avenatti to exploit the longstanding border crisis to prolong his fame. “This is what Mr. Trump and Mr. Miller’s immigration policy really looks like,” wrote Avenatti in the tweet, captioning a photo of a crying child.

Embarrassing: Clinton Turns Into Stuttering Mess When Asked About Melania Trump

By The Daily Caller. In an interview published Friday, Hillary Clinton was asked about first lady Melania Trump and what she thought of President Trump’s immigration policy.

Clinton’s bizarre, rambling response made little sense and did not convey much information.

The Guardian’s Decca Aitkenhead writes:

“I ask how [Clinton] interpreted the jacket the first lady wore to visit a child detention centre, bearing the opaque and intriguing slogan: ‘I really don’t care, do u?’ Clinton slumps back in her chair, wide eyed, arms spread, defeated by the mystery. ‘That, I have no idea. I have no idea. I can’t even … I don’t have any idea. I don’t know.’ Does she feel sorry for the first lady? ‘I don’t know. I honestly don’t know.’”

The Guardian article also includes a quote from Clinton in which she refuses to condemn many on the left becoming “uncivil.” (Read more from “Embarrassing: Clinton Turns Into Stuttering Mess When Asked About Melania Trump” HERE)

First Lady Melania Trump Visits Immigrant Children in Second Trip to Border Region

By USA Today. First lady Melania Trump made her second visit to the southern border region Thursday, aiming to display a more compassionate view toward separated immigrant families as President Donald Trump pushes ahead with his crackdown on illegal immigration.

In Tucson, Melania Trump visited a Customs and Border Patrol facility to learn firsthand how those on the front lines – Border Patrol officers, immigration agents, immigrant families, social workers and residents – deal with immigrant children.

Most of those children crossed the border by themselves, but more than 2,000 were separated from their parents under the administration’s “zero tolerance” policy for undocumented border crossers.

The first lady also stopped in Phoenix, where she met with people who worked with the Office of Refugee Resettlement and Southwest Key Programs, the nonprofit that has housed separated children.

The tour afforded Mrs. Trump a view of just how complicated the issue is: children separated from their parents sat alongside children who came across the border alone. (Read more from “First Lady Melania Trump Visits Immigrant Children in Second Trip to Border Region” HERE)
