State Department: Killing Unborn Children Not a ‘Human Right’

By The Daily Wire. The U.S. State Department has removed the killing of unborn children — what leftists refer to as “abortion” — from its annual report on global human rights.

According to LifeSiteNews, “Ambassador Michael Kozak told reporters that abortion is not a human right and therefore ‘reproductive rights’ was no longer included in the report.”

The asinine idea that so-called “reproductive rights” should be listed as a human right alongside denunciations of genocide came from the topsy-turvy logic of the Obama administration. Kozak claims that the term “reproductive rights” was never intended to include abortion, but only acquired that meaning over the years. As an issue of U.S. policy, Kozak says abortion is too unsettled a question across the world to be included.

However, certain practices of abortion will still be included in the report on global human rights such as forced abortions and involuntary sterilization. (Read more from “State Department: Killing Unborn Children Not a ‘Human Right'” HERE)

Killing Unborn Children Not a Human Right, Says State Department

By Lifesite News. In presenting the annual U.S. report on global human rights, Ambassador Michael Kozak told reporters that abortion is not a human right and therefore “reproductive rights” was no longer included in the report.

“Reproductive rights” was a rather recent addition to the report, included by the Obama administration that, Kozak claims, never intended the term to include abortion. He said it only acquired that meaning in recent years through its use by partisans on both sides of the abortion debate. If this were true, the question arises as to why the term abortion is used under the “reproductive rights” section in the 2013 report on Ireland. Pro-lifers would point out that at least in general usage, the term has always included abortion. Kozak did correctly describe abortion as a largely unsettled question of national policy around the world.

Kozak said that forced abortions and involuntary sterilization would be considered violations of human rights. He said, “it is internationally recognized that somebody should force you to have an abortion or coerce you to be sterilized.”

Kozak said, “We’ve really gotten at it by flipping back to the original U.S. statutory language. It’s in places like China where in order to enforce their – now – two-child policy that there are reports of coerced abortion and involuntary sterilization [or] in North Korea, where the government also coerces [or] forces abortion – although sometimes that’s for political punishment rather than family planning.” (Read more from “Killing Unborn Children Not a Human Right, Says State Department” HERE)

Journalist Posts Dossier Timeline, Confirms Deep State and Media Colluding to Trounce Trump

By Conservative Tribune. For more than a year, the liberal mainstream media — and particularly CNN — have gleefully perpetuated a conspiracy theory regarding alleged collusion between the Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and the Russian government as an explanation for Hillary Clinton’s surprising electoral loss in 2016. The centerpiece of that claim are the contents of a “salacious and unverified” anti-Trump dossier.

That dossier was believed to have been compiled during the lead up to the election by former British spy Christopher Steele in association with a liberal opposition research firm known as Fusion GPS, with funding supplied by Clinton’s campaign and the Democrat National Committee.

Unfortunately for them, its veracity has increasingly become even more dubious as more information about its creation and introduction to the public have been uncovered.

Indeed, it now appears that the only “collusion” that took place during the 2016 election was between Trump-hating “deep state” government employees — namely former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and fired FBI Director James Comey, among others — and their willing anti-Trump allies in the liberal media.

Sean Davis of The Federalist laid it all out last week in a timeline after scouring through the 253 pages of a declassified House Intelligence Committee report on alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election and comparing that knowledge with what has already been gleaned from other sources. Leaked Questions Reveal What Mueller Wants to Ask Trump About Russia

By The Guardian. Robert Mueller, the special counsel investigating Russian interference in the US election, wants to ask Donald Trump about contact between his former election campaign manager Paul Manafort and Russia, the New York Times reported on Monday.

The paper said it had obtained a list of nearly 50 questions that Mueller, investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election, wants to put to the US president. More than half relate to potential obstruction of justice.

“What knowledge did you have of any outreach by your campaign, including by Paul Manafort, to Russia about potential assistance to the campaign?” is one of the more dramatic questions published by the Times.

The pointed reference to Manafort breaks tantalising new ground, since there was no previous evidence linking him to outreach to Moscow. Benjamin Wittes, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution thinktank in Washington, tweeted: “This is very interesting – strong evidence that there are still collusion threads that are not yet public.”

Manafort and his deputy, Rick Gates, pleaded not guilty last October to a 12-count indictment accusing them of conspiring to defraud the US by laundering $30m from their work for a Russia-friendly political party in Ukraine. Special Session to Be Called, Considering First Impeachment of a Governor in the State

By The Blaze. Members of the Missouri legislature have acted to schedule a special session for the first time in the state’s history, with the purpose of considering disciplinary actions against their governor. If the result ends with impeachment, it would be another first for the “Show-Me” state.

Republicans run both the House and Senate in Missouri, making the move noteworthy as many members have called for the resignation of GOP Governor Eric Greitens.

Greitens is in the midst of three investigations, facing two felony counts: one for the alleged blackmail of a former mistress, and another for the alleged use of his former non-profit’s donor list for campaign solicitations . . .

In announcing the decision to call the special session, Missouri House Speaker Todd Richardson said, “This path is not the one that I would have chosen for Missourians or my colleagues. I have hoped from the beginning of this process that the committee would find no wrongdoing so we could bring this issue to a close…unfortunately, this is where the facts led.” . . .

Proceedings are scheduled to commence on May 18, now that the General Assembly has collected (and surpassed) the required three-quarters of the signatures needed from members to call the special session. In the past, special sessions have only been called by the governor. (Read more from “Special Session to Be Called, Considering First Impeachment of a Governor in the State” HERE)

Missouri Lawmakers Seeking Special Session for Impeachment Proceedings Against Greitens

By CNN. Missouri House and Senate leaders announced Thursday night that they have gathered enough support from lawmakers to call the state legislature into a special session for impeachment proceedings against Gov. Eric Greitens.

The announcement follows a series of dire developments for Greitens, a former Republican rising star, including two felony charges: one stemming from a photo he allegedly took of a woman with whom he had an affair and another relating to his campaign’s alleged procurement of a nonprofit donor list without the charity’s knowledge.

But the decision by state lawmakers to consider impeaching the governor adds a new layer to Greitens’ woes given that the Statehouse is firmly controlled by his own party.

“This path is not the one that I would have chosen for Missourians or my colleagues,” said Missouri House Speaker Todd Richardson, a Republican. “I have hoped from the beginning of this process that the committee would find no wrongdoing so we could bring this issue to a close. … Unfortunately, this is where the facts led.” (Read more from “Missouri Lawmakers Seeking Special Session for Impeachment Proceedings Against Greitens” HERE)

Senator: ‘Liberals Would Kill Themselves’ If Trump Wins Nobel Peace Prize

By The Daily Caller. Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said liberals would have a meltdown and commit suicide if President Donald Trump was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

“I want to be there. It may be the first time the Nobel Peace Prize was given and there was mass casualties because I think a lot of liberals would kill themselves if they did that,” Graham said on “Sunday Morning Futures With Maria Bartiromo.”

“The bottom line is by any objective measure what President Trump has done is historic,” Graham added. “He made the decision early on Maria and this was his most important decision about North Korea. He took containment off the table. He said to me and others early on, I’m not going to let them get a nuclear weapon that can hit America and contain the threat by threatening to blow North Korea off the map if they use it.” (Read more from “Senator: ‘Liberals Would Kill Themselves’ If Trump Wins Nobel Peace Prize” HERE)

Trump Deserves Nobel for Role in Talks with North, South Korea’s Leader Says

By CNN. South Korean President Moon Jae-in said Monday that US President Donald Trump would be a worthy winner of the Nobel Peace Prize for his involvement in the warming of relations with North Korea.

A former South Korean President, Kim Dae-jung, won the prize in 2000 for his role in setting up a previous summit with North Korea, and his widow suggested Monday that Moon should also get the award.

Moon demurred in response, saying the US President ought to get it instead. “President Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize. The only thing we need is peace,” Moon said during a Cabinet meeting on Monday, according to the Blue House, the South Korean presidential office.

His remarks come three days after a historic summit that saw North Korean leader Kim Jong Un cross the border into South Korea for talks with his southern counterpart. (Read more from “Trump Deserves Nobel for Role in Talks with North, South Korea’s Leader Says” HERE)

Central American Caravan Hits U.S. for Asylum but Didn’t Get the Answer They Expected This Time

By Bizpac Review. About 50 members of the Central American caravan that marched through Mexico are asking for asylum in the United States, but border officials told them the port of entry is full.

Alex Mensing helped organize the caravan with the group Pueblos Sin Fronteras (translation: “villages without borders”). Mensing said U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) told him there’s no more room for asylum seekers right now. So the fate of the “asylum seekers” currently hangs in the balance.

Mensing told BuzzFeed: “CBP officials said, ‘We are at capacity. At this time we cannot accept any more asylum-seekers; you can wait on one side.’ So the asylum-seekers are next to the door waiting for whenever it is CBP is capable of receiving asylum-seekers.”

The caravan initially started off as a throng of 1,200 to 1,500 people, but has since winnowed down after President Trump asked Mexico to intervene and break up the horde of unemployed refugees.

As of April 29, U.S. border officials have not allowed the vagrants to apply for asylum. After all, they are not political refugees because there’s no war going on in Mexico, nor are they targets of religious persecution. U.S. Officials Still Have Not Allowed Members of the Central American Caravan to Apply for Asylum

By Buzzfeed. On Sunday evening, about 50 asylum-seekers who have made their way through Mexico as part of a caravan of Central Americans walked into the San Ysidro Port of Entry, just south of San Diego, but US border authorities have not allowed them to ask for asylum.

The caravan started with about 1,200 to 1,500 people and on Sunday about 40 presented themselves at San Ysidro in the United States to ask for asylum, citing violence and political oppression. As of Sunday evening, the US border authorities had still not allowed them to apply for asylum . . .

“CBP officials said, ‘We are at capacity — at this time we cannot accept any more asylum-seekers; you can wait on one side,'” Mensing said. “So the asylum-seekers are next to the door waiting for whenever it is CBP is capable of receiving asylum-seekers.” (Read more from “Us Officials Still Have Not Allowed Members of the Central American Caravan to Apply for Asylum” HERE)

Great Plan, Guys! Dems Vote to Replace Armed Security at Schools with Mental Health Workers

By Bizpac Review. The Illinois House of Representatives has come up with a brilliant plan to secure the safety of children in the state’s school system.

The plan is brilliant for Democrats, of course, who lead the state governing body as it calls for replacing armed police officers in schools with mental health professionals – who are unarmed, according to an Associated Press report.

The Democratic-led House in Illinois voted 64-25 on Friday in favor of the plan which seeks to set up a grant program rewarding schools for hiring the social workers.

Hillside Democratic Rep. Emanuel “Chris” Welch removed part of the proposed legislation after opposition from police over language that withheld funding from schools which hired armed security officers.

The measure comes in the wake of the mass shooting at a Parkland, Fla. high school in February and amid renewed calls for increasing security in public schools. (Read more from “Great Plan, Guys! Dems Vote to Replace Armed Security at Schools with Mental Health Workers” HERE)

Illinois House Oks Amended Plan Adding School Therapists

By AP. A plan to replace armed security officers with unarmed social workers got a House OK with substantial changes . . .

Police had objected to the idea because schools could only get money if they stopped funding police officers. Hillside Democratic Rep. Emanuel “Chris” Welch removed that part.

Chicago Democratic state Rep. Juliana Stratton countered that putting police officers in schools aren’t the only way to keep kids safe. (Read more from “Illinois House Oks Amended Plan Adding School Therapists” HERE)

Outrageous: ‘Spokesman for Press’ Used Black Racial Slur to Describe Sarah Huckabee

As to whether that’s a good thing for Michelle Wolf, probably not. The latest B-teamer on “The Daily Show” to host the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Wolf managed to alienate pretty much everyone in the room with her bullying of White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the administration’s representative to the annual debacle.

However, while most of the criticism focused on the fact that Wolf decided it was cute to mock Sanders’ looks, few seemed to focus on the fact she decided to use a racial slur in her act.

“I actually really like Sarah. I think she’s very resourceful,” Wolf said. “She burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smoky eye. Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s lies. It’s probably lies.”

“I’m never really sure what to call Sarah Huckabee Sanders, you know?” she continued.

“Is it Sarah Sanders? Is it Sarah Huckabee Sander? Is it Cousin Huckabee? Is it Auntie Huckabee Sanders? Like, what is Uncle Tom but for white women who disappoint other white women? I know — Aunt Coulter.”

Roy Moore Goes After Election Accusers, Alleges ‘Political Conspiracy’

By The Blaze. After his failed bid for a US Senate seat in Alabama last year, Roy Moore has filed a lawsuit alleging that the women who accused him during the campaign of sexual misconduct from years prior were part of a political conspiracy against him.

Just an hour before a joint news conference with his wife, Kayla, Moore and his spouse filed the suit in Etowah County against defendants Leigh Corfman, Tina Johnson, Beverly Young Nelson and Debbie Wesson Gibson. A friend of Corfman’s, Richard Hagedorn, was also named.

Moore’s attorney, Melissa Isaak said, “We intend to show the people of Alabama that a political conspiracy came about to ruin his campaign for Senate. And to defame him, defame his character, so that the people of Alabama would not vote for him during the special Senate election.”

The plaintiffs are asking for both compensatory and punitive damages “in an amount that will adequately reflect the enormity of the defendants’ wrongful, outrageous acts” and an amount high enough to deter future accusations. (Read more from “Roy Moore Goes After Election Accusers” HERE)

Roy Moore Files Lawsuit Against 3 Women, Alleging ‘Political Conspiracy’

By CNN. Failed Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore says the women who accused him of sexual assault were part of a political conspiracy, according to a lawsuit filed Monday.

The suit was jointly filed with his wife, Kayla, about an hour before the two held a news conference. It was Moore’s first public appearance since election night in December, when Moore, a Republican, was upset by Democrat Doug Jones. The defendants include three women who made accusations against Moore as well as two other people.

“This was filed because the people of Alabama deserve to know the truth,” said Melissa Isaak, an attorney representing Moore. “The accusations made against Judge Moore during the US Senate campaign arose from a political conspiracy to destroy his personal reputation and defeat him in the special Senate election for United States Senate.”

The suit is asking for compensatory damages from all defendants listed along with interest from the date of the injuries and the court costs. The suit is also asking for punitive damages “in an amount that will adequately reflect the enormity of the defendants’ wrongful, outrageous acts” and an amount that will prevent similar acts. Miami Toddler School Linked to Clinton Affiliated Nxivm Cult Shut down by State

By Miami New Times. In 2015, Raquel Perera, wife of 17-time Latin Grammy winner Alejandro Sanz, debuted a school called the Rainbow Cultural Garden in posh midtown Miami. Speaking to Univision, Perera bragged that by immersing toddlers in as many as seven languages at once, the school would revolutionize teaching. Univision credited a New York guru named Keith Raniere with developing the unusual plan.

Fast-forward nearly three years, and Raniere has now been outed as the leader of an alleged sex cult called NXIVM, which is accused of blackmailing women and branding them with flaming-hot irons. Last month, Raniere was arrested by the FBI on sex-trafficking charges; an Albany home tied to the Rainbow Cultural Garden has been raided by the feds, while British authorities are investigating a Rainbow-affiliated school in London.

Now the State of Florida has ordered the midtown Miami school to shut down immediately after New Times brought the facility to the state’s attention. Florida officials say the school was not currently licensed to operate.

“[The Department of Children and Families] has no tolerance for any activities that put children at risk, including operating an unlicensed child-care facility,” David Frady, a spokesperson for the department, said Thursday. “DCF initiated a child protective investigation and ordered the facility to immediately cease operations this afternoon.”

Neither Perera nor Sanz responded to messages from New Times this week. But through a spokesperson, the school says that it is now owned by a woman named Patricia Pietra and that Perera is no longer affiliated with Rainbow Cultural Garden Miami. Actress: Allison Mack Used Feminism to ‘Lure’ Me into Her Sex Cult Nxivm

By The Daily Beast. On Thursday morning, actress Samia Shoaib went on Megyn Kelly TODAY to share her experience of being wooed by top NXIVM recruiter Allison Mack. Shoaib’s story comes in the wake of Mack’s indictment, alongside alleged sex cult leader Keith Raniere, on charges of sex trafficking conspiracy, sex trafficking, and conspiracy to commit forced labor. Mack was released on a $5 million bond on Tuesday to electronically monitored house arrest.

The news that an ex-Smallville actress is being charged as a sex cult second-in-command has shed new light on old tweets, in which Mack appears to be appealing to actresses and influencers on behalf of her unique cause. Mack targeted high-profile women like Emma Watson—she @’d the A-lister multiple times, at one point writing, “I’m a fellow actress like yourself & involved in an amazing women’s movement I think you’d dig. I’d love to chat if you’re open.” . . .

Samia Shoaib told Page Six on Saturday that Mack targeted her after the two met at a 2013 NBC audition. Shoaib, who appeared in The Sixth Sense and Sex and the City, described Mack as “fragile and gaunt,” but admitted, “I wish I could tell you alarm bells went off, but they really didn’t. She was a very sweet girl.”

Shoaib went into more detail on Thursday, describing Mack’s attempts to recruit her to JNess, the NXIVM women’s group that Mack raved about on her personal website and in video testimonials. Shoaib told Megyn Kelly that, within days of meeting Mack, the Smallville actress had sent her “dozens of emails” and talked up her women’s movement. Mack also put Shoaib on an email list through which she received various invitations, including one to a 2015 gathering that billed Mack as a speaker and “leader of JNess.” (Read more from “Actress: Allison Mack Used Feminism to ‘Lure’ Me into Her Sex Cult Nxivm” HERE)

Finally: Miami Herald Sues for Deep State Records on Pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and His Billionaire Co-Conspirators

. . .“Julie Brown, investigative journalist for the Miami Herald (“Julie Brown” and together with Miami Herald, the “Intervenors”), respectfully submit this memorandum of law in support of their motion to intervene and unseal all of the documents in the above-captioned action that have been filed under seal or redacted,” says a legal brief filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

. . .

“These judicial documents are germane to the Miami Herald’s ongoing coverage of dozens of underage minors who were victims of Jeffrey Epstein, the South Florida financier who pleaded guilty in 2008 to solicitation of minors for prostitution and was suspected of involvement in a larger sex-trafficking organization,” the motion says.

Jeffrey Epstein, a retired billionaire financier, served 13 months in jail after pleading guilty to one count of soliciting sex from an underage girl. At the time, there were more than 14 accusations from underage women that Epstein had had inappropriate relationships with them.

The story only exploded from there. Epstein was accused of romps with underage girls on his private jet, known as the “Lolita Express.” Bill Clinton has flown on the plane at least 24 times, once to Africa for a Clinton Foundation outing. Epstein is said to have placed hidden cameras in his plane and home in order to film and blackmail important people having sex with minors . . .

Two female associates of Epstein have been accused of acting as a pimp for him, procuring and grooming young girls to be his sex slaves. Neither of the women have been criminally charged, though one, Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of late media mogul Robert Maxwell, was recently settled a suit levied against her by one of Epstein’s former “slaves.” (Read more from “Finally: Miami Herald Sues for Deep State Records on Pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and His Billionaire Co-Conspirators” HERE)
