University Human Rights Fellow Convicted For Having A Slave

A British jury convicted United Nations Judge Lydia Mugambe on Thursday of forcing a Ugandan woman into domestic servitude after luring her to the U.K. under false pretenses.

Mugambe, who also serves as a high court judge in Uganda, brought the victim to Britain under the guise of securing her a job in a diplomatic household — only to make her work as an unpaid maid and nanny. She confiscated the victim’s passport and visa, leaving her trapped until she was able to contact a friend, who alerted authorities, according to a Thames Valley Police statement.

“Lydia Mugambe used her position to exploit a vulnerable young woman, controlling her freedom and making her work without payment,” Eran Clutliffe, an attorney for the Crown Prosecution Service’s Special Crime Division, said.

The 49-year-old judge, who was studying for a doctorate at the University of Oxford at the time, according to her profile on the U.N.’s website, was found guilty on four charges, including forced labor, an immigration offense and conspiracy to intimidate a witness. Mugambe is also listed on Columbia University’s website as a fellow in their human rights program. Prosecutors argued she “exploited and abused” the victim’s lack of knowledge about her rights to keep her in a state of servitude. ‘Don’t You All Have Jobs?’: JD Vance Calls On Protesters Demonstrating Against His Event To Get ‘Back To Work’

Vice President J.D. Vance told workers during a speech Friday in Bay City, Michigan, that demonstrators outside the event should “get off the streets and back to work.”

Vance and U.S. Small Business Administration chief Kelly Loeffler toured Vantage Plastics, a plastic manufacturer located in Michigan, and delivered remarks on “highlighting America’s industrial resurgence.” The vice president, during a speech at the facility, said the protesters outside of the event are proof that President Donald Trump’s administration needs to bring back manufacturing to the U.S. in order for them to have less time on their hands.

“We’ve got this great event, this great facility, great business and of course, great workers and I’m sure all of us saw there were a few protesters outside and I can’t be the only person wondering, you know, it’s a little after noon on a Friday, and don’t you all have jobs?” Vance said. “I mean, who are the people? And I think that’s one of the reasons why we’ve got to rebuild American manufacturing and support great companies like Vantage Plastics because we want these people to get off the streets and back to work. It’d be good for them and it’s be good for everybody else too.”

Vantage Plastics received a $1.2 million grant from Michigan in 2023 to be based in the state and create 93 new jobs, according to Bridge Michigan. The event, attended by Vance and Loeffler, addressed the “future of American manufacturing,” which the Trump administration has strived to improve.

Trump plans to impose tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China, including 50% tariffs on Canadian aluminum and steel imported to the U.S., with the intent of returning manufacturing to the U.S. from overseas. The president also announced the creation of the “Office of Shipbuilding” with the intent to revive both commercial and military shipbuilding at a time where China has outpaced the U.S. in maritime manufacturing. Trump Stares Down Reporter After Being Hit in the Face With a Boom Mic: ‘She Just Became a Big Story’

President Trump was inadvertently struck in the face by a boom microphone Friday as he fielded questions from reporters at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.

The fuzzy end of the extended microphone – sometimes referred to as a “dead cat” in the industry – struck the 45th and 47th president in the mouth and slid across part of his face as he closed his eyes and leaned back to avoid further contact.

Trump, 78, glared at the reporter and raised both eyebrows in apparent amusement as the mic was quickly pulled away.

“She just made television tonight,” the president quipped, apparently referring to the clumsy reporter. “She just became a big story tonight.”

“Did you see that?” Trump asked someone off camera, laughing off the incident.

Alleged Customers at High-End Brothel Serving Politicians, Military Officials Finally Unmasked in Court as Salacious Details of Encounters Revealed

A group of high-profile johns who frequented posh brothels in Massachusetts were finally named in court Friday during a hearing that laid out sordid details, including that at least one of the men paid to have unprotected sex.

Mark Zhu, 28, was one of the alleged johns to be identified during the hearing in a Cambridge, Massachusetts, courtroom where it was revealed he allegedly paid $840 for two hours of unsafe sex with a prostitute – in a service referred to as “bb,” the Daily Mail reported.

Also revealed were the identities of other alleged johns including, Kerry Wu, John J. Doran, David LaCava, Boya Zhou, Peter H. MacGillivray, Yihong Zou, Pablo Domingo Maceira, Jonathan P. Lanfear, Pinhao Chao, Patrick Walsh and radiologist Jason Han.

The johns regularly used acronyms in text messages arranging sexual encounters with call girls, like “gfe” – or the “girlfriend experience,” Cambridge Police Lt. Jarred Cabral alleged, reading out the text messages in court.

Cabral said the men referred to payment for sex as “donations” — which would run in the hundreds of dollars. And they were polite but businesslike when arranging the dalliances, saying “pleases,” “thank yous,” and “have a great day,” Cabral said, according to a report by The Boston Globe. A 42-year-old transgender woman who allegedly threw Molotov cocktails at vehicles and spray-painted “Nazi cars” at a Colorado Tesla dealership lives with her mother due to “emotional problems” and calls herself “baby” online.

Lucy Grace Nelson, also known as Justin Thomas Nelson, is accused of hurling incendiary devices at a Tesla dealership in Loveland, Northern Colorado, and vandalizing the business and vehicles on multiple occasions with graffiti “offensive and hateful in nature,” police said.

In one incident, the suspect allegedly took aim at Tesla CEO Elon Musk — who has previously been accused of antisemitism — scrawling “f—k Musk” with red paint on the front windows of the establishment and in another, sprayed “Nazi” on a company sign.

Nelson was arrested on February 24 upon returning to the Tesla dealership, allegedly in possession of additional incendiary devices and “materials attributed to vandalism,” police said at the time.

Nelson, who is listed as female on her driver’s license and Loveland Police’s booking sheet, has since been handed a federal charge of malicious destruction, and freed on a $100,000 cash bond. Scuttled CDC Pick Slams Big Pharma And Senators On Its Payroll

In a statement released on the day of his abruptly canceled confirmation hearing, Dr. Dave Weldon, President Trump’s initial nominee to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said concerns that Big Pharma was behind the subversion were “probably true.”

“They are hands-down, the most powerful lobby organization in Washington DC giving millions of dollars to politicians on both sides of the aisle,” he wrote.

Weldon said that Wednesday evening, before the morning of his hearing before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) committee, he had received a call from a White House assistant telling him his nomination had been withdrawn due to a lack of affirmative votes.

According to Weldon’s statement, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told him Sen. Susan Collins of Maine suddenly “had reservations” about confirming him despite having “a very pleasant meeting” with Weldon previously.

Rep. Receives Death Threats, Cancels Event After Calling Trans Rep. Sarah McBride ‘Mister’

Rep. Keith Self (R-TX) said he has received death threats after accurately calling Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE) — a male pretending to be a female — “mister” during a House hearing Tuesday.

The Republican congressman announced Friday that due to death threats and threats of violence against his office, he has decided to cancel a meet-up event for constituents Saturday.

“In life as in war, there are times to engage and times to disengage. In recent days, the rhetoric from the left has turned vile and hateful. My office received multiple death threats and threats of violence — several of which are currently being investigated by authorities,” Self said in a post to X.

“Rather than place constituents, their families, and their property in harm’s way, I’ve decided to err on the side of caution and postpone Saturday’s Koffee with Keith in Greenville, Texas. I look forward to re-engaging with constituents again very soon. God bless, Keith Self,” he continued.

During a House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe Subcommittee hearing Tuesday, Self recognized McBride, who was elected as the first transgender-identifying member of congress in November 2024, as “Mr. McBride.” After doing so, Democrat Rep. Bill Keating (D-MA) had a meltdown over Self’s supposed “misgendering” of McBride.

Trump Slams ‘Communist’ Persecution Of Conservatives While Speaking At DOJ

The Department of Justice was persecuting Donald Trump with sham trials just last year. But today, now-President Trump spoke at the DOJ, calling out the “communist” federal persecution of conservatives.

“They tried to turn America into a corrupt communist and Third World country, but in the end, the thugs failed and the truth won. Freedom won, justice won, democracy won, and above all, the American people won,” Trump said. “There could be no more heinous betrayal of American values than to use the law to terrorize the innocent and reward the wicked.”

A “corrupt group of hacks and radicals” in the federal government “weaponized the vast powers of our intelligence and law enforcement agencies to try and thwart the will of the American people,” Trump stated. He acknowledged the “lies and abuses that have occurred within these walls” at the DOJ.

Federal agents “target[ed] patriotic parents at school board meeting” as domestic terrorists, treated traditional Catholics similarly, let supporters of Antifa and Hamas walk free, and jailed “elderly Christians and pro-life activists,” Trump noted. Meanwhile, federal officials “imported illegal alien murderers, drug dealers and child predators from all over the world.”

“Our predecessors turned this Department of Justice into the Department of Injustice,” Trump stated. “But I stand before you today to declare that those days are over and they are never going to come back.”

Podcaster Gavin Newsom Forced to Borrow $3.44 Billion to Pay for Medicaid for Illegal Aliens

The State of California must borrow $3.44 billion dollars to cover a shortfall in Medi-Cal, the state’s Medcaid program — a year after expanding it to offer free health care to illegal aliens.

As Breitbart News reported at the time: “Beginning January 1, 2024, illegal aliens residing in California will become eligible for taxpayer-funded health insurance — the first state in the nation to enact such a policy.”

Governor Gavin Newsom had boasted of the budget agreement that made such a dramatic offer possible: “With these new investments [sic], California will become the first state to achieve universal access to health care coverage,” he had Newsom said in a statement in June 2022.

But after a year, it is clear that the Golden State lacks the cash to follow through on that commitment.

As Politico notes:

California will need to borrow $3.44 billion to close a budget gap in the state’s Medicaid program, Newsom administration officials told lawmakers Wednesday in a letter obtained by POLITICO.

That’s the maximum amount California can borrow, and will only be enough to cover bills for Medi-Cal — the state’s Medicaid program — through the end of the month, Department of Finance spokesperson H.D. Palmer separately told POLITICO.

Originally, the state estimated it would cost around $3 billion per year to insure [undocumented immigrants]. But one year after the program has been fully implemented, it’s turning out to be more expensive than anticipated.
