Here Is an Invitation for You to Help Make History in a Very Real Sense

In December, the North Carolina State Senate and State Assembly passed a law that reduced the number of required signatures to gain ballot access in that state from nearly 95,000 valid signatures of registered voters (a near impossible task) down to 12,000. The thinking behind the law was to enable the Green Party to gain ballot access and thereby enable the Republicans to regain control of the governorship. The law was vetoed by the Democratic Governor but then overridden by a very slim margin by both Republican-controlled legislative bodies.

This unexpected move presented the Constitution Party with a rare opportunity. Almost overnight the North Carolina Constitution Party began organizing to take advantage of this law change to gain ballot access. They have been working gun show after gun show and other venues to gain the needed signatures to achieve ballot access. As of this writing, they have gathered nearly 2,500 signatures, over 80% of which have been gathered by volunteers. The signatures need to be validated by the counties and then turned in to the North Carolina Secretary of State. Thus far, they have achieved an 83% validation rate, which is remarkable. The Constitution Party has never succeeded in getting on the ballot in that state before, so success this year will be a historic first for the party.

Gaining ballot access this year will enable the party to run candidates for office this year and will also secure ballot position for the next Presidential Election in 2020. That will serve as an insurance policy to secure spots on the November ballot in the event that the GOP Establishment regains total control of their party. This is where you can play a critical and vital role. If you live in North Carolina. you can contact the state party leadership to volunteer both your time, talent, and yes, your financial support to ensure that ballot position is gained. Simply go to the National Constitution Party website at www.constitutionparty.com. You can reach both the national party and the state party via that website. When making a donation, select the “Ballot Access” or “General Donation” buttons.

The party has until May 31st to gather the required number of signatures and get them turned in to the North Carolina Secretary of State. The looming deadline has made it necessary for the party to hire a professional petitioner. This costs the party $2.00 per signature plus boarding and per diem allowance. Please consider donating what you are able. A $5.00, $10.00, $25.00, $50.00, $100.00 or more donation will be deeply appreciated. Small donations are as critical as are larger ones. Achieving ballot access in North Carolina will be a historic accomplishment for the party. In March, we succeeded in getting enough signatures to qualify for ballot position in Hawaii. After North Carolina, we have other states that are within our reach.

In summary, the time to act is now. Your signature, your talent, and your financial support are critical to the Constitution Party’s success. Please share this alert with family and friends of like mind. Working together we can make a difference. If we are to restore our government to the principles of Integrity, Liberty, and Prosperity that our nation was founded upon, it will take the individual and untiring effort of each of us.

North Korea’s Failed Olympians Hope to Avoid Dangerous Consequences

As North Koreans return home this week from the Pyeongchang Winter Games, possibly without any medals, Olympians hope to avoid the gulags — a fate the losers of the 1966 World Cup are believed to have experienced.

Twenty-two North Koreans participated in the 2018 Olympics, with the support of the nation’s handpicked cheering squad, for the regime’s ninth representation in a Winter Games.

Competing in figure skating, skiing and ice hockey — as part of a joint team with South Korea — the country has failed to medal in any event, surely disappointing leader Kim Jong Un, whose family allegedly sentenced the failed World Cup athletes to concentration camps for the loss.

A survivor of the North Korea gulags, according to the U.K.’s Daily Star, wrote about meeting the World Cup squad at the Yodok gulag, where the team reportedly said they were imprisoned for losing 5-3 to Portugal.

In 2010, the losing North Korea World Cup team reportedly endured a six-hour “grand debate” in which they were criticized for their “betrayal of the trust of Kim Jong Un,” South Korean newspaper The Chosun Ilbo reported. Armed Father Sees Intruder Crouching Outside His Children’s Bedroom Window. Dad Doesn’t Hesitate.

A husband and wife were asleep inside their Spanaway, Washington, home after 2 a.m. Monday when they heard noises and footsteps outside and saw an exterior motion light turn on, police told KIRO-TV.

When the husband went inside the room where his children — an infant and toddler — were sleeping, he came face-to-face with a frightening sight, the station said: A man crouching in the window well . . .

After yelling at him to stop, the homeowner — who told deputies he feared for his family’s safety — fired four shots at the suspect, hitting him twice, KIRO reported.

“That’s just the primal instinct as a man to try to protect my family and my wife,” the homeowner told the station. “I’m willing to put my life out there to make sure my wife and my sons are protected from that threat.”

When deputies arrived, the intruder was laying in the grass suffering from two gunshots, KIRO said, adding that the 24-year-old is expected to be charged once he’s released from the hospital. SHOCK: Democrat Comes out Against Gun Control, Says It’s Not the Answer

Democrat Connor Lamb is holding firm in his belief that Congress doesn’t need to pass stricter gun control laws following the school shooting in Florida, insisting the best way to deter these kinds of horrific events is to enforce the laws on the books.

The stance puts Mr. Lamb in line with President Trump and the candidate’s Republican rival Rick Saccone in the special congressional race here in western Pennsylvania, which is doubling as the first electoral test of post-Florida gun politics . . .

“No parent should ever drop their child off at school and be afraid they won’t be alive at the end of the day,” Mr. Lamb said. “My heart breaks for those families in Florida and, in Congress, I will work to make sure that people with serious mental illnesses do not have access to guns.”

Mr. Lamb said more money needs to be invested in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and enforcing the background check system.

He said he would be willing to look at proposals aimed at strengthening the system, including closing the gun show “loophole” and expanding firearm background checks in internet sales, but said the focus should be on mental health. Conquest Changes Everything: Build the Wall

At my very first class session on my first day of college, I encountered a world-weary psychology professor in the twilight of his career. He was unyielding on class deadlines, with one exception.

“If you can tell me an excuse I’ve never heard before,” he told his wide-eyed freshmen, “I’ll give you an A.” Many of us gave it a shot during that semester, but I never heard of anybody getting the A.

His offer was strategic. Much of our success over the ensuing 40+ years would, in fact, depend on the quality of our excuses. “A lie is an abomination unto the Lord,” Mark Twain quipped, “and an ever-present help in time of trouble.”

But lying to authority figures is one thing. Lying to your children is something else. And so it’s not very hard to forgive illegal aliens who lie about their status in order to put food on the family table, but not so easy to forgive Baby Boomers who lie to their grandchildren that America’s going to be just fine with open borders.

Our American grandchildren need a barrier at our southern border, and soon. Without it, the United States will cease to exist, perhaps within your grandchild’s lifetime.

What would that ending look like? Chicano activist and professor Charles Trujillo has predicted a merger of the U.S. and Mexico, after which fertile immigrants would overtake the native-born voting population, without a shot fired. But he has also called secession of the Southwest from America inevitable, due to recent immigration.

His colleague Armando Navarro, who says he takes inspiration from Saul Alinsky, Vladimir Lenin and Che Guevara, advocates a forcible occupation of the Southwest. “A secessionist movement isn’t something you can put away and say it’s never going to happen in the United States,” Prof. Navarro writes. “Time and history change.”

He has a point.

What if a hypothetical resurgent Mexico not only occupied the Southwest but drove north and east to conquer America from sea to shining sea? Would Mexico’s title to Indianapolis be valid under American property law? Yes, and it’s not even a close question.

The Supreme Court settled that issue in 1823, when it decided Johnson v. McIntosh, a case about Native Americans’ attempt to sell their land to whites. That decision established once and for all that conquest confers title. It even trumps good-faith bilateral contracts for purchase.

If we’re under the impression that we can cut a side deal with invaders, that we can deal away our grandchildren’s sovereignty but keep our property and privileges, we’re playing a very dangerous game. The truth is that conquest trumps not only property rights, it effectively trumps all rights. Match wits with a burnt-out academic if you insist, but let’s not lie to our grandchildren.

Conquest changes everything. Don’t put your grandchildren through it. Build the wall.

Trump Spanks Politicized FBI: Too Busy With Russia Probe to Act on Obvious School Shooter Tips

Fresh off a hospital visit to victims wounded in the Florida school shooting this week, President Donald Trump on Saturday night slammed the FBI, saying the bureau “missed all of the many signals” sent by the shooter because it was “spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.”

Trump said on Twitter: “This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign – there is no collusion. Get back to the basics and make us all proud!”

In the aftermath of the tragic shooting at a Florida high school which left 17 dead and 14 wounded, it was revealed that the FBI had been warned five months ago about the shooter, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz.

A video blogger on YouTube notified the FBI in September about an alarming comment on a video he’d posted. “Im going to be a professional school shooter,” read the comment left by a user with the name Nikolas Cruz — the same name of the now-confessed shooter.

But on Thursday, the FBI agent in charge of the Florida shooting probe said the Bureau (make sure you’re sitting down for the next part) could not identify the person who left the comment. (Read more from “Trump Spanks FBI: Too Busy With Russia Probe to Act on School Shooter Tips” HERE)

Netanyahu Issues Warning to Iran, Brandishes a Very Ominous Object During Speech

Brandishing a piece of a downed Iranian drone, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Iran Sunday not to test Israel’s resolve.

Tensions have been running high after an incursion by an unmanned aerial vehicle of Iranian origin led to strikes on Iranian positions in Syria.

Israel “will act not just against Iran’s proxies that are attacking us, but against Iran itself,” the prime minister said at the Munich Security Conference, which was attended by Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif.

“Here is a piece of that Iranian drone, or what is left of it after we shot it down,” Netanyahu told the conference, holding a piece of the destroyed drone high above his head. “I brought it here so you can see it for yourself. Mr. Zarif, do you recognize this?”

“You should. It’s yours,” he added. “You can take back a message to the tyrants of Tehran. Do not test Israel’s resolve.”

The prime minister, the first Israeli prime minister to address the conference, warned that Israel will “act without hesitation to defend itself.”

He also addressed Iran’s nuclear interests, arguing that Iran “should be stopped and slammed with the most crippling sanctions.”

A series of unusual events nearly brought Iran and Israel into direct conflict with each other last weekend.

The Israeli military shot down a drone that had entered its airspace and bombed the launch site in Syria where Iranian forces are active.

However, as the fighter jets were returning home, one of the Israeli F-16s was hit by a Syrian anti-aircraft missile.

The fighter jet went down in Israel, but the pilot was able to eject from the aircraft safely.

In response, Israel carried out a massive retaliation operation, during which it bombed a dozen Syrian and Iranian military facilities in Syria.

The incident involving the downed jet risked escalating an already devastating regional conflict.

Iran, which Netanyahu claims “lies with eloquence,” denies any wrongdoing. Zarif accused the Israeli prime minister of staging a “cartoonish circus.”

A Public School Is Telling 6th Grade Girls They Can’t Say No to Boys Who Ask Them to Dance

As the conversation around “consent” continues to circulate worldwide, one Utah school is facing backlash over their recent message to 6th-grade girls: just say “yes.”

Natalie Richard’s sixth-grade daughter was one of the many students who came home inquiring about the rules of her school, Kanesville Elementary’s, Valentine’s Day dance.

That rule, the girl said, was that she couldn’t say “no” if a boy asked her to dance.

“Oh no, no honey,” Richard said to her daughter, thinking it was confusion or a simple rumor. “You guys are misunderstanding again. That’s not how it is.”

After speaking to her daughter’s teacher, however, the nightmare of truth came forward and Richard realized her daughter was correct.

“The teacher said she can’t,” Richard told Fox 13. “She has to say yes. She has to accept and I said, ‘Excuse me?’”

Taking her concerns to the school principal, Richard pressed for answers but received none that settled the unease forming within.

“He basically just said they’ve had this dance set up this way for a long time and they’ve never had any concern before,” she said.

The Weber School District later confirmed it was a rule and that it aimed not at breaching consent, but at inclusivity — the school itself did not seem to realize there is a time and place for each.

“Please be respectful, be polite,” said Lan Findlay who works with the school district. “We want to promote kindness, and so we want you to say yes when someone asks you to dance.”

And though Richard admits that she understands why they would want to adopt the policy of inclusivity, a school dance where girls are ordered to dance with boys they’d rather stay away from “sends a bad message to girls that girls have to say ‘yes’” and “sends a bad message to boys that girls can’t say ‘no.’”

Prior to the voluntary sweetheart dance, students are told to fill out a card by selecting five people they’d like to dance with, and if there is someone on the card they feel uncomfortable with, the student is encouraged to speak up.

And the dancer selections are split in half, part of the choosing going to the girls and the other half to the boys — all of whom are not allowed to dance with the same person more than once.

“If there is an issue, if there’s students that are uncomfortable or have a problem with another student, I mean: that’s certainly something that can be addressed with that student and parents,” Findlay said.

However, Richard holds firm to the notion that rejection is just another part of life that students are going to have to learn to deal with, and that the policy is sending the wrong impression when everything is said and done.

“Psychologically, my daughter keeps coming to me and saying I can’t say ‘no’ to a boy,” she said. “That’s the message kids are getting.”

And Richard’s is not alone, as other parents have taken to social media to call out the school’s policy.

“Respectfully decline to dance … Children should learn to say ‘no thanks’ in uncomfortable situations,” wrote one parent.

“Girls should not have to feel obligated to say yes to anyone. Especially when it involves physical contact,” wrote another. “I would rather keep my daughter home instead of making that environment acceptable.”

As the policy sparked outrage from parent’s and others nation-wide, the school admitted that it will rescind the formal rule and rethink its strategy — leaving their student’s to simply say “no.”

“In the best interest of our students, we are re-examining the procedures surrounding these dances and will make any necessary changes to promote a positive environment where all students feel included and empowered in their choices,” the school’s statement said.

“We have advised our schools to eliminate any sort of language in the instructions surrounding these dances that would suggest a student must dance with another student.” (For more from the author of “A Public School Is Telling 6th Grade Girls They Can’t Say No to Boys Who Ask Them to Dance” please click HERE)

Olympic Skater Who Attacked Pence Just Got Hired by NBC

A U.S. Olympic figure skater who criticized Vice President Mike Pence in January just got hired on as an NBC correspondent for the remainder of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

On Sunday, NBC spokesperson Greg Hughes revealed to USA Today that Rippon will serve as a network correspondent on a variety of different mediums from television to social media.

While it is not uncommon for the network to hire athletes as correspondents during the Olympics, the addition of Rippon is notable due to his past criticisms of the vice president.

As reported by CNN Money, Rippon, an openly gay athlete, was critical of Pence’s past as governor of Indiana when he signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

The act allowed businesses in the state of Indiana to refuse service to gay and lesbian customers on the grounds of religious freedoms protected under the First Amendment.

In a January interview, Rippon was asked for his thoughts on Pence leading the 2018 U.S. Olympic delegation to South Korea.

“You mean Mike Pence, the same Mike Pence that funded gay conversion therapy? I’m not buying it,” Rippon said.

He added: “I don’t think he has a real concept of reality. To stand by some of the things that Donald Trump has said and for Mike Pence to say he’s a devout Christian man is completely contradictory.”

The figure skater’s statements prompted a response from Pence’s press secretary Alyssa Farah who claimed that Rippon’s statements were “totally false” and had “no basis in fact.”

Rippon responded to the press secretary’s comments with a tweet showing quotes from the then-governor’s campaign website.

As noted by The Indianapolis Star, the last line was the most controversial as LGBTQ activists believed it to mean that Pence supports gay conversion therapy.

Rippon went on to note in a series of tweets that he has “nothing to say” to the vice president, and that Pence “has had little effect” on his life.

“I didn’t speak up for myself, I spoke up because it’s important to give a voice to those who feel they don’t have one.”Rippon’s accusations reportedly led to an offer being extended by the vice president’s camp to meet with the Olympic skater, according to David Baden, Rippon’s agent.

“That was 100 percent true,” Baden told USA Today’s, Christine Brennan. “We were contacted by the appropriate channels that the vice president wanted to talk to Adam.”

Pence took the high road in the situation and posted a tweet wishing Rippon well in the Olympics, according to The Western Journal.

But after the opening ceremony, Rippon and slopestyle skier Gus Kenworthy, an openly gay athlete as well, posted a photo on Instagram of the two hugging each other. However, the photo was also used as an opportunity to take another swipe at Pence.

The caption under the photo read: “I feel incredibly honored to be here in Korea competing for the US and I’m so proud to be representing the LGBTQ community alongside this amazing guy! Eat your heart out, Pence.”

Pence didn’t provide a response to the photo. (For more from the author of “Olympic Skater Who Attacked Pence Just Got Hired by NBC” please click HERE)
