Man Who Offered Reward for Info on Seth Rich Murder Is Attacked by Unknown Assailant

By The Daily Wire. A Republican strategist and lobbyist who offered a financial reward for information on the murder of Democratic staffer Seth Rich was violently attacked earlier this week at his home by an unknown assailant.

Jack Burkman, host of “Behind the Curtain” on Radio America, was attacked at his home in Arlington, Virginia on Tuesday as he approached the front door, The Washington Post reports.

According to the police report, a man in a dark-colored SUV parked in Burkman’s driveway and exited the vehicle when he saw Burkman approaching his home, sprayed him with a “caustic substance,” hit him in the head and then drove off. The Post notes:

Burkman said in an interview, he walked to the grocery store, a short distance from his quiet Arlington street a few blocks from the Potomac. He purchased items for dinner and went home, so lost in his own thoughts that he said he didn’t notice the dark SUV in his driveway until he was about 30 feet away.

As Burkman tells it, a man in a black jacket got out of the SUV on the passenger side and, as he came around to the front of the car, put on a mask that “looked like something you would see in one of the movies of a bank robber.”

Conservative Lobbyist Who Offered Reward for Info on Seth Rich Murder Violently Attacked

By The Daily Caller.A well-known conservative lobbyist was sprayed with a “caustic substance” by a masked attacker outside his Arlington home Tuesday, according to local police . . .

Burkman told WaPo he was returning from the grocery store when a man wearing a ski mask jumped out of a black SUV, sprayed him in the face with what appeared to be pepper spray, and hit him the head before speeding away. He added that he thought “the end is coming,” when he spotted the man coming up his driveway, and said the attack “seemed professional,” though he had trouble pinning down who exactly might have cause to attack him.

“You could have 10 different causal nexi,” said Burkman, who made enemies in 2014 by campaigning to ban gay players from the National Football League.

Burkman drew the ire of many in the capital by fanning Seth Rich conspiracy theories and giving them a platform on a website he created for that purpose shortly after the young staffer’s death. But the attack may have been motivated by more recent developments. (Read more from “Conservative Lobbyist Who Offered Reward for Info on Seth Rich Murder Violently Attacked” HERE)

Watch: Aly Raisman’s Blistering Testimony Against Former U.S. Gymnastics Team Doctor Accused of Sexual Abuse

On Friday, Aly Raisman, the American gymnast who is a six-time Olympic medalist and the second most-decorated female American Olympic gymnast, confronted her tormentor, Larry Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics doctor who is accused of molesting numerous young girls during his tenure, at his sentencing hearing in court, and her blistering statement elicited applause from those in attendance.

Raisman had revealed in November that Nassar had abused her when he was the team doctor. Raisman admitted she was “scared and nervous” to be making a statement but realized after watching other survivors of Nassar’s abuse that she “needed to be here.” Raisman ripped Nassar for the horrific abuse he inflicted on the numerous girls he abused, and also slammed USA Gymnastics and the U.S. Olympic Committee, which had put Nassar on advisory boards and committees, and also refused to address the problem years ago, when some of the survivors began speaking out.

Raisman also targeted USA Gymnastics’ CEO Kerry Perry for resorting to rhetoric rather than action, adding, “This sounds great, Ms. Perry, but at this point, talk is cheap.” Near the end of her statement, Raisman asked for the judge to impose “the strongest possible sentence, which his actions deserve.” She continued:

For by doing so, you will send a message to him and to other abusers that they cannot get away with their horrible crimes. They will be exposed for the evil they are and they will be punished to the maximum extent of the law. Let this sentence strike fear in anyone who thinks it is okay to hurt another person. Abusers, your time is up. The survivors are here, standing tall, and we are not going anywhere. And please, your Honor, stress the need to investigate how this happened, so that we can hold accountable those who empowered and enabled Larry Nassar, so that we can repair and once again believe in this wonderful sport.

Citizens Demand Ivanka Trump Run for President After This Photo Emerges

A black and white photo of Ivanka Trump taken Thursday whipped Twitter users into a frenzy, with some suggesting the first daughter might make a good president herself someday.

The picture, captured by New York Times photographer Doug Mills, shows Trump — a senior White House adviser — walking across the tarmac after returning from a trip to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with her father.

The first daughter was wearing a black turtleneck and a calf-length wool coat, as well as a pair of pearl earrings, according to The U.K. Daily Mail.

It didn’t take long after the picture was posted for Twitter users to point out that Ivanka Trump looked “presidential.”

According to Michael Wolff — the author of Trump administration tell-all book “Fire and Fury” — Ivanka Trump may indeed have an interest in following in her father’s footsteps and running for president.

Wolff wrote that Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, have agreed that if there is an opportunity for either of them to run, she would be the candidate.

“Between themselves, the two had made an earnest deal: If sometime in the future the opportunity arose, she’d be the one to run for president. The first woman president, Ivanka entertained, would not be Hillary Clinton; it would be Ivanka Trump,” reads an excerpt from the book.

In the past, the first daughter has expressed mixed feelings regarding the idea of running.

“It’s not something I’ve ever been inclined to do, but I’m 34, so who knows?” she told Town & Country magazine in early 2016 after being asked if she had ever considered a career in politics. “At this point I would never even contemplate it, but that doesn’t mean that when I’m 50 I won’t have a change of heart.”

But in April 2017, when asked by CBS co-host Gayle King if she might run for president in 2024, Trump’s answer seemed definitive.

“No,” she said, according to The Hill. “Politics is a tough business.” (For more the author of “Citizens Demand Ivanka Trump Run for President After This Photo Emerges” please click HERE)

U.S. House Votes to Protect Babies Who Survive Botched Abortions

In a major pro-life victory, the U.S. House passed a bill today protecting babies born alive during botched abortions.

The vote took place on the same day that hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers witnessed to life in the nation’s Capitol during the annual March for Life.

The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R. 4712) aims to protect babies who have managed to survive an abortion and are born alive in an abortion center. The bill states that if a baby survives an abortion, that baby is entitled to the same level of care as any other baby of a similar age, no matter how delivered, would receive.

The bill requires that living babies be transported to a hospital for care, instead of being left to the devices of the abortionist. The bill also establishes penalties if health professionals do not provide this level of care. It also allows the mother to sue if her living baby is killed by intent or neglect.

There are U.S. cases of babies who have been born alive after a botched abortion and then brutally killed by the abortionist. (Read more from “U.S. House Votes to Protect Babies Who Survive Botched Abortions” HERE)

Comic Book Convention Bans ‘Hercules’ Actor Because He’s a Friend of Sean Hannity

The organizer of comic book convention has banned “Hercules” actor Kevin Sorbo because of his friendship with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

“I turned down Kevin Sorbo for East Coast Comicon,” founder Cliff Galbraith wrote on Facebook. “He’s pals with Sean Hannity. I just can’t do it.”

Sorbo is a popular figure at comic con conventions because of his portrayal of Hercules in the 1990s television series. He has also voice-acted in numerous video games that include the Greek mythic character.

Moreover, the actor is known for his lead role in the space sci-fi series “Andromeda,” which aired on WGN and the Sci-Fi Channel during the early 2000s.

More recently, Sorbo, who is an evangelical Christian, has appeared in faith-based films including last year’s “Let There Be Light,” which was executive produced by Hannity.

Sorbo has been a guest on the Hannity’s program over the years, including an appearance last year to promote the film, which the thespian also directed.

“‘Let There Be Light’ was a breakout hit without any Hollywood support,” Hannity told Todd Starnes on his radio program earlier this week.

In reference to Galbraith’s decision not to invite Sorbo to his convention, the Fox host said, “I’ll pity the poor insecure guy who cannot escape his comic book world, and handle a little real world truth and reality and an opposing viewpoint.”

Starnes noted that Galbraith’s Twitter feed includes anti-Trump rants like one last week asking, “Who was stupid enough to buy a condo from Trump? You supported him years ago by buying a condo from him. His name should be branded on your forehead.”

“The left gets so angry and they go crazy,” Sorbo told Starnes. “What are you going to do? It is what they are.”

“I’ve never even heard of the East Coast Comicon,” the star added. “They don’t have any A-Listers attending. I think they are looking for free publicity.”

In an interview with LifeZette, Sorbo stated that facing political bias in relation to a comic book convention is a first for him, but emphasized it looks mainly like a publicity stunt.

“To me, it’s like, what a smart move. I was never even invited (to the convention), Sorbo said. “My agent never went there. I went online and it’s a very small con, so he (Gailbraith) was trying to drum up interest in his con and himself. I appreciate it and I applaud his entrepreneurial spirit, especially for a guy who is a socialist.”

The conservative filmmaker further indicated that he will not be cowed and has every intention of continuing his professional relationship with Hannity.

“We’re certainly going to keep Sean in the loop for future projects,” said Sorbo.

“Let There Be Light” will be released on DVD on February 27. (For more form the author of “Comic Book Convention Bans ‘Hercules’ Actor Because He’s a Friend of Sean Hannity” please click HERE)

Former Porn Actress Comes Forward with Huge Allegation Against Trump

A former adult film actress has claimed that she had an affair in 2006 with then-real estate mogul Donald Trump, a year after he wed Melania Trump.

On Wednesday, In Touch released a 2011 interview it had conducted with former adult film actress Stephanie Clifford.

During the interview, Clifford, whose stage name is Stormy Daniels, claimed that the incident occurred in 2006 at a hotel suite in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, four months after Trump’s wife Melania gave birth to Barron Trump.

The alleged encounter reportedly occurred one year after Trump and Melania wed, according to The Hill.

The former adult film actress told In Touch that she met Trump at the American Century celebrity golf tournament where the two shared the same golf cart.

“He kept looking at me and then we ended up riding to another hole on the same golf cart together,” she recalled.

According to Clifford, Trump asked her if she wanted to have dinner later that night, to which she obliged.

As noted by In Touch, Clifford claimed that the two ate dinner in his hotel suite before she excused herself to the bathroom.

“When I came out, he was sitting on the bed and he was like, ‘Come here.’ And I was like, ‘Ugh, here we go.’ And we started kissing,” the former pornographic actress recalled.

The two proceeded to engage in intercourse that Clifford described as “textbook generic.”

After the encounter, Clifford revealed that the two “hung out for a little while and he just kept saying, ‘I’m gonna call you, I’m gonna call you. I have to see you again. You’re amazing. We have to get you on The Apprentice.’”

The Wall Street Journal first broke the news that Clifford was paid by Trump’s attorneys to remain silent on the affair.

In the report, the Journal claimed that Michael Cohen, a Trump Organization lawyer at the time of the incident, reportedly arranged for Clifford to received $130,000 one month prior to the 2016 presidential election as part of a nondisclosure agreement.

A White House official told The Journal that Clifford’s allegations are “recycled reports, which were published and strongly denied prior to the election.”

In a statement to The Journal, Cohen, now Trump’s personal attorney, stated that the president “once again vehemently denies” the 2006 sexual encounter with Clifford.

“This is now the second time that you are raising outlandish allegations against my client,” Cohen stated, referencing a 2016 report by The Journal just days prior to the election claiming that Clifford had intentions to release the bombshell information on “Good Morning America.”

He continued: “You have attempted to perpetuate this false narrative for over a year; a narrative that has been consistently denied by all parties since at least 2011.”

As noted by The Washington Post, the payment The Journal alleges was made to Clifford has not been independently confirmed. (For more from the author of “Former Porn Actress Comes Forward with Huge Allegation Against Trump” HERE)

Trump Considering Big Punishment for China

President Donald Trump said Wednesday he is considering a “fine” against China as part of his administration’s probe into China’s alleged theft of intellectual property.

The comments, made in an interview with Reuters, appear to signal an increased willingness to take retaliatory trade action against China.

The U.S. launched a formal investigation this summer into allegations that China facilitates the theft of U.S. technology and intellectual property, in some cases forcing U.S. companies into delivering technology into Chinese hands as a cost of doing business. Under U.S. trade law, the administration can impose retalitory tarrifs and other trade sanctions against China if it concludes China is engaged in wrongdoing. Earlier reports from the U.S. government found China to be the worst infringer of intellectual property rights in the world.

Gary Cohn, the president’s chief economic adviser, told Reuters that the U.S. Trade Representative, who is directing the investigation, would be making a report and recommendations to the White House soon. (Read more from “Trump Considering Big Punishment for China” HERE)

A Study Just Revealed the Truth About ‘Worst-Case’ Global Warming Scenarios

Earth’s surface will almost certainly not warm up four or five degrees Celsius by 2100, according to a study released Wednesday which, if correct, voids worst-case UN climate change predictions.

A revised calculation of how greenhouse gases drive up the planet’s temperature reduces the range of possible end-of-century outcomes by more than half, researchers said in the report, published in the journal Nature . . .

How effectively the world slashes CO2 and methane emissions, improves energy efficiency, and develops technologies to remove CO2 from the air will determine whether climate change remains manageable or unleashes a maelstrom of human misery.

But uncertainty about how hot things will get also stems from the inability of scientists to nail down a very simple question: By how much will Earth’s average surface temperature go up if the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is doubled?

That “known unknown” is called equilibrium climate sensitivity (ECS), and for the last 25 years the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) — the ultimate authority on climate science — has settled on a range of 1.5 C to 4.5 C (2.7 to 8.1 degrees Fahrenheit). This Is a How Marijuana User Feels Compared to a Nonuser

Cannabis users are more likely to experience negative emotions, particularly feeling alienated from others, new research reveals.

People who use marijuana are significantly more likely to feel that others wish them harm or are deceiving them, a US study found.

Brain scans also reveal the class-B drug increases signal connectivity in regions of the brain that have previously been linked to psychosis, the research adds, which is associated with severe depression.

Teenage cannabis users are particularly affected as their brains are still developing, according to the researchers.

In the US, 44 percent of those aged 12 or over have used cannabis at some point in their lives. (Read more from “This Is a How Marijuana User Feels Compared to a Nonuser” HERE)

A New Poll Shows How People Really Feel About Late-Term Abortion

. . .Americans want more limits on abortion, which since Roe v. Wade is estimated to have taken the lives of 60 million unborn.

A new Marist Poll from the Knights of Columbus shows a supermajority of Americans would limit the procedure to the first three months of pregnancy, including even a majority of those who say they are pro-abortion.

The poll shows 76 percent, including six in 10 “pro-choice” Americans, believe abortion should be limited to the first three months of a pregnancy or only in “cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother.”

Among the polls results: “Seventy-eight percent of respondents said that laws can protect both the health and well-being of a woman and the life of the unborn, while only 15 percent said laws should protect one and not the other. Surprisingly, 73 percent of those identifying as ‘pro-choice’ agreed that both the unborn and women can be protected. Seventy-three percent of Democrats and 80 percent of independents shared that view.”

“It is hardly surprising that after (60) million abortions in this country, an overwhelming majority of the American people want substantial limits,” said Supreme Knight Carl Anderson. “This survey shows clearly that the ‘pro-choice’ label can no longer be assumed to mean support for abortion on demand.
