Iran Says Trump’s ‘Absurd Tweets’ Have Incited Disruption

An Iranian ambassador lambasted President Trump Wednesday for encouraging disruption in Iran with his “absurd tweets,” and crossing “every limit” in international relations by expressing support for Iran’s anti-government protestors.

Iranian Ambassador Gholamali Khoshroo, in a letter to U.N. officials, accused Washington of intervening “in a grotesque way in Iran’s internal affairs,” and singled out Trump and Vice President Mike Pence for “personally stirring up trouble.”

“The President and Vice-President of the United States, in their numerous absurd tweets, incited Iranians to engage in disruptive acts,” the ambassador wrote to the U.N. Security Council president and U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

At least 21 people have been killed and hundreds arrested in Iran during a week of anti-government protests and unrest over economic woes and official corruption. Meanwhile, tens of thousands of people took part in counter-demonstrations Wednesday backing the clerically overseen government, which has said “enemies of Iran” are fomenting the protests.

Trump’s tweets have expressed support for the protestors, saying Iran is “failing at every level” and declared that it is “time for change” in the Islamic Republic. (Read more from “Iran Says Trump’s ‘Absurd Tweets’ Have Incited Disruption” HERE)

NYT Reporter: Political Activists Exploiting Sexual Harassment Claims for Own Gains

On “The Story,” Sandra Smith interviewed the author of a New York Times report that said money-wielding “partisans” are seeking to “exploit sexual harassment claims.”

Reporter Kenneth Vogel said there may be a partisan element to “exploited” stories of sexual misconduct for the purpose of political gain.

Smith said the report may lead to the public questioning the “integrity of the #MeToo movement” that brings attention to sexual harassment victims.

Vogel said that Media Matters founder David Brock, a former conservative writer turned progressive activist who Smith said “declared war on Fox News,” is one of the figures in his report.

He said Brock and other operatives helped funnel hundreds of thousands of dollars to famous feminist attorney Lisa Bloom in order to “push more female victims into the spotlight.” (Read more from “NYT Reporter: Political Activists Exploiting Sexual Harassment Claims for Own Gains” HERE)

Southeast Socked by Rare Snowstorm Ahead of ‘Bomb Cyclone’ Forecast to Hit Northeast

By Nicole Darrah. Much of the southeastern U.S. was slammed by a brutal winter storm Wednesday, with Florida, Georgia and South Carolina seeing a rare blast of snow and sleet — the worst snowstorm to hit some cities in decades.

Forecasters have warned the same weather system could soon strengthen into a “bomb cyclone” as it continues to travel north on the East Coast. The storm could “produce strong, damaging winds — possibly resulting in downed trees, power outages and coastal flooding,” according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

At least 17 deaths have been blamed on dangerously cold temperatures that for days have gripped widespread areas of the U.S. from Texas to New England.

Floridians in Tallahassee saw snow for the first time in 28 years.

The National Weather Service on Wednesday recorded 5 inches of snow and significant accumulations of ice in Charleston, South Carolina. Across the Georgia-South Carolina state line, the weather service reported 1.2 inches of snowfall in Savannah. Winter Storm Threatens East Coast, Bringing Temps Colder Than Mars

By CNN. A massive “bombogenesis” — an area of rapidly declining low pressure — will wreak havoc on the Northeast this week, threatening hurricane-force winter wind gusts and blinding snow.

The bombogenesis will result in what’s known as a “bomb cyclone.” And the bomb cyclone, expected to strike Thursday, will likely dump 6 to 12 inches of snow in New England and hurl 40- to 60-mph gusts.

By the end of this week, parts of the Northeast will be colder than Mars.

The impending storm led to more than 2,700 preemptive US flight cancellations for Thursday, according to Flightaware.com. (Read more from “Winter Storm Threatens East Coast, Bringing Temps Colder Than Mars” HERE)

US Woman Stabbed by Somali Explodes Police Narrative

It’s been nearly three weeks since a man described as a Somali immigrant attacked Evenson as she was walking home from work in uptown Minneapolis, slashing and stabbing her relentlessly while trying to drag her off of a public street . . .

Minneapolis police said after the Dec. 13 attack that they considered it an attempted robbery . . .

There’s only one problem with that statement.

Evenson says the man made no attempt to snatch her purse . . .

After being released from the hospital Evenson immediately moved out of state and said she fears for the safety of her friends still living in uptown Minneapolis, where she worked at the Apple Store in a shopping district that includes Victoria’s Secret, high-end jewelry stores and coffee shops. Trump ‘Falling in Love’ With Amnesty for Illegals?

There are the so-called “Dreamers,” brought into the United States illegally by their parents, that Barack Obama protected from federal law. Then there’s the border wall on which President Trump campaigned. And don’t forget the fights erupting over “sanctuary” cities and states . . .

Trump electrified Washington when he recently tweeted:

The statement would suggest the president will push for amnesty as part of any comprehensive immigration deal.

However, he may also be using DACA as a bargaining chip to achieve other priorities on immigration, such as the introduction of a merit-based system and funding for the border wall.

Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, argues there should be no DACA amnesty in the upcoming government funding bill. (Read more from “Trump ‘Falling in Love’ With Amnesty for Illegals?” HERE)

Major City Gets Muslim Mayor, Now Tops in Acid Attacks

London Mayor Sadiq Khan is infamous for his declaration terrorism is simply “part and parcel of living in a big city.”

And under Khan’s leadership, there’s another part of living in a big city that has become routine – soaring crime rates.

For example, gun crime in London is up 15 percent, homicides are up 25 percent, including an explosion in youth homicide of 70 percent, and robbery is up by more than a third.

The year 2017 ended with four fatal stabbings in London, with one man dying in the early hours of 2018 and becoming the first victim of the new year. Khan claims he will work “tirelessly in 2018 and beyond to stamp out this scourge,” but his past record is not encouraging.

According to statistics from the London government itself, crime soared from 2016 to 2017, including in the categories of theft, robbery, burglary, knife crime and gun crime. Khan was elected mayor in May 2016. (Read more from “Major City Gets Muslim Mayor, Now Tops in Acid Attacks” HERE)

Is Trump-Bannon Feud Based on Fake Quotes?

A friend and adviser of Donald Trump quoted in a controversial upcoming exposé of the White House calling the president “stupid” says the author put words in his mouth, casting doubt on other sensational claims that rocked the administration Wednesday, including that Trump didn’t want to win the election.

Thomas J. Barrack told the New York Times the quote attributed to him by Michael Wolff in “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” is “totally false.”

Wolff quoted Barrack telling a friend that the president is “not only crazy, he’s stupid.”

But Barrack commented Wednesday: “It’s clear to anyone who knows me that those aren’t my words and inconsistent with anything I’ve ever said.”

Barrack told the Times that Wolff never vetted the quotation with him for accuracy. (Read more from “Is Trump-Bannon Feud Based on Fake Quotes?” HERE)

‘ISIS Selfies’ on New York Streets Are Terrifying

By Tina Moore and Ruth Brown. Jihadis are spreading chilling selfies of a man brandishing ISIS logos while posing on New York City streets, according to new reports.

The photos were spotted in pro-Islamic State channels on instant messaging app Telegram, according to terror watchdog group Memri.

One shows a man wearing an ISIS-branded scarf over his face outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art — and right near an NYPD security camera. Pedestrians can be seen walking by on the snow-dusted street.

Another is of someone holding a smart phone with the terror group’s logo on its screen in front of the World Trade Center. The phone-holder appears to be standing near the corner of Houston Street and the Westside Highway. (Read more from “‘ISIS Selfies’ on New York City Streets Are Terrifying” HERE)

By Matt Acton. A brazon Islamic State fanatic taunted US security services by appearing to pose on a snowy New York street in an ISIS-branded scarf.

The disturbing selfie comes after the terror group’s media channels ramped up their threats to the Big Apple over the festive period.

The monster also seems to be wearing an ISIS-branded scarf to hide his face – but experts have warned that it might be computer-generated.

The disturbing selfie comes as the supporters of the terror group released another poster urging attacks in churches with knives.

The propaganda piece shows a masked fighter brandishing a bloodied knife with the words: “It’s cheaper than a chainsaw.” (Read more from “ISIS ‘Lone Wolf’ Fanatic Takes Chilling Selfie on a Snow-Covered New York Street as Terror Group Urges a Wave of Knife Attacks at US Churches” HERE)

The Iranian People Are the Real Anti-Fascists

In 2017, Antifa took American campuses by storm. Radically Left, vehemently anti-Trump, black-clad vandals swarmed last year to protest conservative speakers like Ben Shapiro and to declare their contempt for free speech. Violence and property destruction were their calling cards, all supposedly in the name of “anti-fascism.”

As 2018 begins, a different kind of protest has captured the attention of the world. For days now In Iran, anti-government demonstrators have taken to the streets. Rising prices, high unemployment, and the brutality of the government have stirred discontent. On Thursday, a protest began in the city of Mashhad. Reports say most gathered were adults under 40. And this spark, aided by social media, ignited a fire across Iran.

This long-suffering people cries out for liberty in opposition to the Islamist regime led by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his cohorts. The few videos of the demonstrations that have escaped the regime’s tyrannical suppression of social media show mass demonstrations against Khamenei, against President Hassan Rouhani, and against true oppression. “Death to the Islamic Republic!” brave freedom fighters cry.

This was just the beginning. According to Al Jazeera, the protests are escalating “much faster than anticipated.”

“It wasn’t expected to be anything beyond the slogans against the administration and the president,” said Negar Mortazavi, a journalist for self-described independent online news service Iran International. “But, it seems like the dissent within the Iranian population is so much deeper; that this has gone beyond the presidency and all the way up to the Supreme Leader [Ayatollah Ali Khamenei], which is very worrisome for all factions of the establishment.”

Khamenei has blamed the unrest on “enemies” of the state. The police have been mobilized and are using force and tear gas to quash the demonstrations. The Iranian government has severely restricted internet access amid the violence, making exact reporting on the extent of the protests and the reaction by the government difficult. The estimates from Iranian state media indicate that at least 20 people have died and more than 450 people have been arrested, with many to face the death penalty.

The regime’s response is in character. This is a government that is regularly condemned for numerous human rights abuses. Crimes such as “insulting the Prophet,” apostasy, homosexuality, adultery, and drug-related offenses are all punishable by death. Those jailed are often tortured. Freedom of religion, freedom of expression, and other natural rights are denied in the Islamic “Republic.”

This is, in a very real sense, a true fascist regime. That makes the bravery of these real anti-fascist Iranian protesters all the more admirable in contrast to the absurdity of leftist Antifa.

While Antifa radicals in America cosplay with black masks, while they scheme to do harm and reveal themselves as petty thugs with each swing of a bike chain, the Iranian people suffer. In America, the radical Left decries speech as violence. In Iran, speech is silenced with violence.

Iranians are dying for the cause of liberty. Those protesting understand what it means to live under a government that has abdicated its responsibility to secure their rights and has instead inflicted oppression upon its people. The moral stand taken by the these Iranians ought to put Antifa to shame and inspire all lovers of freedom to make common cause with the Iranian people.

Ironically, the most consequential voice in support of the Iranian anti-fascists is Antifa public enemy number one: President Donald Trump. Whereas the 2009 Green Movement uprising went ignored by the Obama administration, President Trump has declared, “The world is watching,” insisting that the “brutal and corrupt” regime in Iran will come to an end, as “oppressive regimes cannot endure forever.”

When the time came, President Trump, leading America, stood with the anti-fascist Iranian people in support of freedom. This is proper for an American president, and the whole world should follow his example in demanding freedom for the Iranian people and an end to the fascist, terrorist-supporting, Islamic Iranian regime.
