Female Candidate Drops out Amid Sex Scandal Claims

Andrea Ramsey, a Democratic candidate for Congress, will drop out of the race after the Kansas City Star asked her about accusations in a 2005 lawsuit that she sexually harassed and retaliated against a male subordinate who said he had rejected her advances.

Multiple sources with knowledge of the case told The Star that the man reached a settlement with LabOne, the company where Ramsey was executive vice president of human resources. Court documents show that the man, Gary Funkhouser, and LabOne agreed to dismiss the case permanently after mediation in 2006.

Ramsey, a 56-year-old retired business executive from Leawood, was one of the Democratic candidates vying to challenge Republican Rep. Kevin Yoder in 2018 in Kansas’ 3rd District.

She was running with the endorsement of Emily’s List, a liberal women’s group that has raised more than a half-million dollars to help female candidates who support abortion rights . . .

“In its rush to claim the high ground in our roiling national conversation about harassment, the Democratic Party has implemented a zero tolerance standard,” Ramsey said in a statement Friday. “For me, that means a vindictive, terminated employee’s false allegations are enough for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) to decide not to support our promising campaign. We are in a national moment where rough justice stands in place of careful analysis, nuance and due process.” (Read more from “Female Candidate Drops out Amid Sex Scandal Claims” HERE)

Trump Rips FBI, Then Praises Training Academy Class

President Trump Friday praised members of a graduating class at the FBI Academy as underappreciated heroes, but on his way there he also pointed out the bureau’s failings and vowed to “rebuild” so “it’ll be bigger and better than ever.”

The London Daily Mail said Trump, in preparation for his trip to speak at the academy, said some agents have exhibited “disgraceful” conduct.

At the academy, he criticized those who unleash “malicious attacks” on law enforcement, promising he would have the backs of officers who are protecting America.

Police officers, he said, “have been subjected to malicious attacks on their character and integrity.”

“This anti-police sentiment is wrong, and it’s dangerous, and we will not stand for it,” he said. “We believe criminals who kill police officers should get the death penalty.” (Read more from “Trump Rips FBI, Then Praises Training Academy Class” HERE)

Trouble for Imam Who Wants Every Last Jew Dead

An imam from New Jersey who called on Allah to destroy every Jew is in trouble.

The Times of Israel reported Aymen Elkasaby apparently is going through a retraining period after making the comment that Allah should “kill them down to the very last one.”

He’s from the Islamic Center of Jersey City, and the report says he gave a sermon on November 24 where he called on “Allah to wreak vengeance” on Jews.

“That sermon came days after U.S. President Donald Trump defied warnings from the world and recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital,” the report said.

According to reports on the dispute, Elkasaby also said suggestions that the recent terrorist attack on the Sinai Peninsula mosque where some 300 worshippers died was done by Islamic State were “ridiculous.” (Read more from “Trouble for Imam Who Wants Every Last Jew Dead” HERE)

CNN Complains Senior White House DHS Adviser Is a Birther, LGBT Critic, and Hardline Anti-Islamist

By Andrew Kaczynski, Chris Massie and Nathan McDermott. A White House senior adviser at the Department of Homeland Security previously promoted conspiracy theories about former President Barack Obama’s birthplace, lamented the “Zimbabwe-fication of America,” and mocked the LGBT community.

Frank Wuco has served as the White House adviser to DHS since January and now leads a team tasked with helping to enforce President Donald Trump’s executive orders, including the administration’s travel ban.

Before that, he hosted a conservative talk radio show in Florida for several years and appeared as a guest on other talk radio shows. CNN’s KFile reviewed more than 40 hours of audio of Wuco’s show and his other appearances.

Wuco, a retired naval intelligence officer, has previously come under media scrutiny for his hardline views on Islam. Wuco has said that violent extremism is in line with the teachings of mainstream Islam and has dressed up as a jihadist character named Fuad Wasul in videos to teach others about the dangers of Islam. Agency Defends DHS Adviser Wuco

By Josh Delk. Frank Wuco, who hosted a conservative radio program before joining the White House in January, floated the conspiracy that Obama was not eligible to be president because he was not a natural born U.S. citizen and claimed that Obama knew “nothing about the black American experience.”

“Mr. Wuco works every day to keep the American people safe by helping to implement the President’s security-focused agenda, including raising the global bar for vetting and screening of potential terrorists. Years-old comments cherry picked from thousands of hours on the air have no bearing on his ability to perform his job for the American people,” then acting DHS press secretary Tyler Houlton told CNN.

Wuco once hosted a guest in 2011 who wrote a book forwarding the case why Obama was ineligible to be president, and called the president’s birth certificate “questionable” after it was released to the public.

“This person, not only does he, with the exception of the color of his skin, not only does he sort of lay a very false claim on his identification with the black American experience, he has no idea what it is. But people don’t care,” Wuco once quoted a friend as saying on his show. Read more from Agency Defends DHS Adviser HERE)

A Radical Islamic Rally Is Coming to DC This Weekend

On Saturday, radical Islamic activists from across the nation will be protesting outside the White House regarding President Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The “Jerusalem is forever the capital of Palestine” rally starts at noon just south of the White House.

Earlier this month, the president recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and ordered the State Department to begin the process of moving the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

This set off a ferocious backlash in the anti-Israel community nationwide. One New Jersey imam even called for genocide against Jews.

If the coming Saturday rally is like the other “pro-Palestine” protests since President Trump’s Jerusalem announcement, one can expect to see some severe anti-Israel and anti-Semitic rhetoric.

FBI prosecutors have labeled several organizations sponsoring the D.C. event this weekend as fronts for Muslim Brotherhood operations in the U.S.

These groups include the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), which was started to raise money for the Hamas terrorist organization, along with the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), and the Muslim Students Association (MAS), American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), among other outfits.

Sponsors also include at least two major mosques known for their connections to terrorist activity.

One sponsor mosque, Dar al-Hijrah, which is located in northern Virginia, was once led by deceased al Qaeda mastermind Anwar al-Awlaki. The mosque was also attended by two 9/11 hijackers, along with several other convicted terrorists.

The Islamic Society of Boston, another mosque sponsoring the event, has a long history of Islamic extremist activity. It was founded by al Qaeda financier Abdurahman Alamoudi, and one of its original trustees was the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, who has called for suicide bombing attacks against U.S. soldiers.

According to Americans for Peace and Tolerance, “Over the past decade, thirteen congregants, supporters, staff and donors of the ISB have been imprisoned, deported, killed or are on the run.”

There is expected to be a significant amount of attendees at the Saturday protest.

According to the group’s Facebook page, Islamist outfits are renting over a dozen buses to bring in fellow supporters from New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, and elsewhere. (For more from the author of “A Radical Islamic Rally Is Coming to DC This Weekend” please click HERE)

White House Urges Roy Moore to Concede, as Supporters Gather Evidence of Voter Fraud

Two days after losing Alabama’s special Senate election, Republican nominee Roy Moore has yet to concede the race to Democrat Doug Jones — even after White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that he should.

“I think the president’s position is pretty clear in his outreach to Doug Jones directly,” Sanders said at Thursday’s briefing with reporters. “He likes Doug Jones and looks forward to meeting him in person. and hopes that he will come and follow through on his commitment to work with the president on some things that they agree on.”

Asked if President Trump believed that Moore should give a concession speech, Sanders said that it “should have already taken place.”

But Moore, who suggested on election night that the race would go to a recount, said in a Wednesday web video that late-counted ballots could change the results of the election . . .

Moore, who lost by 20,715 votes, is not in a position to ask for a recount. Alabama law does not trigger a recount unless the margin between two candidates is less than 0.5 percent; according to the latest count by the Associated Press, the margin between Jones and Moore is 1.5 percent. Here’s What Getting Rid of Net Neutrality Will Do to Netflix

“Netflix acknowledged long ago that these kinds of costs of delivering streaming video are minimal to their bottom line,” William Rinehart, director of technology and innovation policy at the American Action Forum, told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “Moreover, they announced a month before this new regulation was released that they were going to raise prices to develop more content. Content development is driving cost increases on platforms, not this simple regulatory change.”

The aforementioned regulatory reform is in reference to the rollback of so-called “net neutrality” rules mandated by the FCC during the later years of former President Barack Obama’s administration. Net neutrality is a vague concept generally meaning all internet traffic should be given equal treatment. This often means internet service providers (ISPs) shouldn’t be allowed to partake in unfair practices like throttling video-streaming from content creators or offering faster speeds for higher paying customers . . .

“Netflix uses the Amazon cloud computing platform, AWS. There’s not going to be any change in their operations,” Richard Bennett, founder of High Tech Forum and one of the original creators of the WiFi system, told TheDCNF. “Netflix’s costs are dominated by media license fees and production costs, and they’ve alway said communication costs are insignificant.” . . .

“We’re disappointed in the FCC’s decision to gut the net neutrality protections that ushered in an unprecedented era of innovation, creativity and civic engagement,” a Netflix spokesman says in a statement. “Netflix will stand with innovators, large and small, to oppose this misguided FCC order.” (Read more from “Here’s What Getting Rid of Net Neutrality Will Do to Netflix” HERE)

People Will Be Talking About the Ending of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ for Years

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” didn’t disappoint one bit, and it was an incredible experience . . .

There are a couple main points I want to hit on for you guys. First, the ending of this film is as unpredictable as it can possibly get. I did not see any of it coming, and the final few minutes hit you in the face like a hurricane.

I won’t say exactly what happens, but you have decades of “Star Wars” storylines combining for a few minutes of cinema gold. It might literally make your head explode. You’ll be wanting to jump out of your seat screaming at the screen, and maybe even a few tears will roll down your face . . .

It seems like the path for Episode IX is pretty clear, and you’ll understand once you see the ending. I have no idea how it’ll play out, but it seems like we know the general direction.

My only criticism of the film as I watched it is that it does start out just a shade slow. Ultimately, I think I can chalk that up to my eagerness to see stuff get going right away. In hindsight, I’m glad the plot took some time to develop because it was certainly worth it by the end. Georgia Mom Left Child in Car With Meth While Burglarizing House, Authorities Say

A woman in Northern Georgia has been arrested and charged with leaving her 4-year-old son in the car near meth and drug equipment while burglarizing a house, authorities said.

Theresa Jean Bice, 39, faces four felony counts, including for burglary, and for possession of drug-related objects, methamphetamine and tools for committing a crime, officials told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Authorities said officers found her son asleep near several bags of meth, a digital scale, and glass smoking paraphernalia, the newspaper reported.

The District Attorney’s Office will likely add child neglect charges when the case is fully reviewed, the Forsyth County News reported. (Read more from “Georgia Mom Left Child in Car With Meth While Burglarizing House, Authorities Say” HERE)

Ex-NBC News Production Assistant Reveals Secret Relationship With Matt Lauer

A former NBC News production assistant revealed Thursday that she had a month-long sexual relationship with disgraced “Today” anchor Matt Lauer in the summer of 2000 that included a rendezvous in his dressing room.

Addie Collins Zinone’s account was published by Variety. She said the relationship with Lauer was consensual, but added, “I ultimately felt like a victim because of the power dynamic.” . . .

Zinone, then known as Addie Collins, said Lauer first reached out to her in June 2000, when she was about to depart NBC for a job at a station in her home state of West Virginia. In his initial message, Lauer wrote, “i [sic] hope you won’t drag me to personnel for saying this. but you look fantastic.” A month later, on July 12, Lauer wrote to her again, saying “OK…NOW YOU’RE KILLING ME…YOU LOOK GREAT TODAY! A BIT TOUGH TO CONCENTRATE”.

Zinone said she and Lauer went to lunch that same day under the guise that he would offer her professional advice. Instead, she said, Lauer used it as “an opportunity for him to come on to me.”

Zinone also claims Lauer tried to have sex with her in his office at NBC, which featured a now-infamous button that allowed him to lock the door without getting up from his desk. (Read more from “Ex-NBC News Production Assistant Reveals Secret Relationship With Matt Lauer” HERE)
