Abortion Horror: Hospital Tries to Force Nurse to Participate

A lawsuit alleges the Duke University Health System tried to force a Catholic nurse to help carry out abortions.

The case, filed by the Thomas More Law Center of Ann Arbor, Michigan, on behalf of Sara Pedro, alleges Duke discriminated against and retaliated against the Catholic emergency-department nurse because of her pro-life religious beliefs.

“This case illustrates the unfortunate dangers faced today by individuals who seek to remain faithful to their religious beliefs in the workplace,” said Thomas More lawyer Tyler Brooks.

“With this lawsuit, however, we intend to show that even very large employers must respect the civil rights of their Christian employees.”

The case was brought in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. (Read more from “Abortion Horror: Hospital Tries to Force Nurse to Participate” HERE)

Obama Holdovers Exposing US to EMP Attack

There’s no question that the United States is vulnerable to an electromagnetic pulse attack that could result in mass starvation and the death of about 90 percent of the American population, a nuclear strategist warns.

But the deep state – those entrenched bureaucrats whose loyalties likely lay with a previous administration, under which they got their jobs – is indifferent.

Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, a nuclear strategist formerly with the CIA who served as chief of staff of the Congressional EMP Commission until it was terminated in September (the same month North Korea tested a hydrogen bomb, which it described as capable of a super powerful EMP attack), said liberal Democrats still are running a lot of Washington even after President Trump’s election.

“The people who sabotaged the EMP Commission, Obama holdovers, are still at the Department of Defense. They have not been replaced by the Trump administration. This is happening not just with the vitally important EMP Commission,” he said. “Our society, the Trump administration and the people who voted for Trump are paying for the failure of Congress to support Trump appointees quickly.

“At the same time during the Obama administration, he had twice as many appointees appointed to positions in government than Trump has. It’s not President Trump’s fault – these people are undermining and opposing the policies that President Trump has enacted, including the case of the EMP Commission.” (Read more from “Obama Holdovers Exposing US to EMP Attack” HERE)

Man Charged With Assaulting Rand Paul

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul has five rib fractures and lung contusions as a result of an apparent assault Friday by a neighbor at Paul’s home in Bowling Green, a spokesman for Kentucky’s junior senator said Sunday.

Senior adviser Doug Stafford said Paul’s injuries cause pain that could persist for weeks, perhaps even months, but that the Republican plans to return to the U.S. Senate soon.

“Senator Paul has five rib fractures including 3 displaced fractures,” Stafford said in a statement emailed to the Daily News by Paul’s staff. “This type of injury is caused by high velocity severe force. It is not clear exactly how soon he will return to work, as the pain is considerable as is the difficulty in getting around, including flying.”

Rene Boucher, 59, a Bowling Green doctor, was arrested Friday and charged with fourth-degree assault after an incident at Paul’s home in the gated Rivergreen community just east of Bowling Green.

Boucher, 582 Rivergreen Lane, was released Saturday night from the Warren County Regional Jail on a $7,500 bond, according to online jail records. (Read more from “Man Charged With Assaulting Rand Paul” HERE)

Massive Vegas Twist: Report Puts Cops Outside Shooter’s Door Before Attack Started

One month after the Las Vegas shooting, there are a number of remaining questions about what led up to the massacre and how it unfolded, but there are also a several questions about why the timeline continues to change drastically—and the latest change puts law enforcement outside the shooter’s door minutes before the massacre began.

Some of the most glaring changes in the timeline have revolved around the account of Mandalay Bay Hotel security guard Jesus Campos, who was reportedly injured by suspected shooter Stephen Paddock. Campos went from being just another causality in the shooting to Paddock’s first victim, who was shot only once in the leg, despite the fact that the shooter fired 200 rounds down the hallway in his direction.

During an interview on Fox News with Tucker Carlson, an attorney for the victims revealed that not only did police officers respond to Campos after he was shot, they were right outside of Paddock’s door before he began shooting out of his hotel room window.

“As of yesterday it was that two—we knew about Campos—but there were two other police officers from MGM that were on the floor prior to the shooting,” Craig Eiland said.

The conversation came up while Carlson and Eiland were discussing the mysterious circumstances surrounding both Campos’ story and how tightly he has been controlled by MGM Grand.

“Maybe they’re concerned of what he’s going to say. Maybe they’re concerned he’s not going to stick with the MGM story,” Eiland said. “But eventually he will be examined under oath by attorneys in these cases and so it’s going to be important to know the timeline from what he says and from what the other two—now we know that there were two other police officers on the floor with him prior to the shooting—those are all questions that have to be answered and they eventually will be.”

Carlson responded to the revelation by asking, “Just to be clear—not Las Vegas Police Department, but MGM employees acting as security?”

“No. There was a report yesterday that there were two off-duty officers on the floor that responded to Campos prior to the shooting beginning,” Eiland confirmed for the third time.

Eiland also noted that MGM Grand claims to have a “corporate watch center” that trains its employees to report any suspicious activity. So if a guest arrived at Mandalay Bay Hotel with 27 rifles and 5,000 rounds of ammunition stored in 10 bags, why didn’t the employees who helped him, or the cleaning service who visited his room regularly, report suspicious activity? And if they did, why wasn’t it addressed?

I do think that after 30 days, we ought to be having more information than we have right now. For example, we know bits and pieces. We know that he arrived with 10 bags. We know that two bellmen helped him carry those bags up. Then we find out that those 10 bags had guns in them and 5,000 rounds of ammunition. We know that MGM claims to have a ‘If you see something, say something’ policy—and you’re telling us that nobody saw those guns over a 5-day period? No maid, no housekeeping, no food service ever saw any of the guns? Nobody saw him using power drills in the hallway? Nobody saw him setting up security cameras? These are all things that need to be answered.

As The Free Thought Project has reported, while the FBI’s timeline of the shooting continues to change, some of the most compelling questions have remained unanswered since Day 1, such as, why has no security footage of the shooter been released, despite the fact that he allegedly stayed in one of the most popular hotels in Las Vegas for several days before the shooting?

Planned Parenthood Gave Politicians More Funds in Single Year Than NRA Did in Entire Decade

The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis made a Washington Post article playing up the NRA’s donations to members of Congress look pretty silly with one simple tweet in early October.

The Post’s story detailed where roughly $3.6 million in NRA political donations have gone in the past few decades. However, Davis pointed out that Planned Parenthood’s political donations from last year alone absolutely dwarf that number.

“Reporter uses basic division on above tweet and you won’t believe what happens next,” Twitchy posted on Tuesday, calling out the article for being a bit overwrought.

“Since 1998, the NRA has donated $3,555,194 to current members of Congress,” The Post contributor Kyle Griffin tweeted, with a link to the story. “Find out here who has received donations.”

Davis replied: “A whopping $190,000/year spread out across 400+ races, huh? Planned Parenthood spent $38 million just last year.”

Investigation: Foundations Gave Millions to Groups Accused of Terror Ties

Major American foundations have given millions of dollars in funding to Islamic organizations accused of having ties to radical Islamist movements or designated terrorist organizations and a group of activists are trying to convince them to stop.

Groups like Islamic Relief Worldwide, which some countries have banned for allegedly funding Hamas and other terrorist organizations, have received millions of dollars from corporate charities like the GE Foundation, community foundations like the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, and independent foundations like George Soros’ Open Society Foundation.

Researchers with the Middle East Forum, an activist group devoted to promoting American interests abroad, identified the financial stream from American foundations to seven Islamic groups with radical ties: Islamic Relief Worldwide and its sister organization in the United States — Islamic Relief USA, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the Muslim American Society (MAS), the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) and, despite rebounding from highly damaging terrorist allegations in 2008, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).

The various foundations have given $5.8 million to these seven groups since 2000, IRS filings show, with $5.6 million of that taking place since 2008.

In total, 46 corporate foundations, eight community foundations, nine private foundations and one donor-advised fund have given money to these seven groups. (Read more from “Investigation: Foundations Gave Millions to Groups Accused of Terror Ties” HERE)

NYPD Working to Arrest Weinstein on Rape Claims

The NYPD is prepared to arrest Harvey Weinstein for raping “Boardwalk Empire” star Paz de la Huerta — and the next step is for the Manhattan district attorney to get an arrest warrant, a top department official said Friday.

“She put forth a credible and detailed narrative to us. We then sought to garner corroboration — this happened seven years ago — and we found corroboration,” Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce told reporters . . .

When asked what made de la Huerta’s case so credible, he explained it was her “ability to articulate each and every movement of the crime — where she was, where they met, where this happened and what he did.”

Weinstein is in Arizona for sex-addiction rehab, so the NYPD will need DA Cyrus Vance Jr.’s office to secure an arrest warrant to bring him back to the Big Apple. (Read more from “NYPD Working to Arrest Weinstein on Rape Claims” HERE)

Trump Says American Public Deserves Hillary Investigation

President Donald Trump said Friday the American public “deserves” a federal investigation of Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee over a joint fundraising agreement they signed in August 2015.

Trump launched a multi-part Twitter attack criticizing his former 2016 rival. Trump writes: “Crooked Hillary bought the DNC & then stole the Democratic Primary from Crazy Bernie!” He adds it’s the “real story on Collusion.”

Trump’s accusation follows Politico’s publication of an excerpt from former acting DNC Chair Donna Brazile’s upcoming book. Brazile alleges she found “proof” that the 2016 Democratic primary was rigged in Clinton’s favor. Brazile writes that she believes no laws were violated, but that a funding agreement “looked unethical.” (Read more from “Trump Says American Public Deserves Hillary Investigation” HERE)

GOP Resolution Calls for Mueller to Resign

Legislation being introduced Friday by a Florida Republican tells special counsel Robert Mueller to resign from his position looking into possible Trump campaign contacts with Russia.

The resolution introduced by Rep. Matt Gaetz focuses on the alleged lack of FBI action under Mueller’s leadership regarding the 2010 Uranium One deal approved by the Hillary Clinton State Department.

Mueller was FBI director from 2001 to 2013 and the legislation says “any thorough and honest investigation into the corruption of American-uranium related business must include investigating the willful blindness of the FBI and its leaders.”

Reps. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., and Louis Gohmert, R-Texas, are initial cosponsors on the resolution.

The Uranium One deal resulted in Russian ownership of a Canadian firm with U.S. assets. It was finalized the same year former President Bill Clinton received a $500,000 speaking fee from a Russian bank linked to the deal. The Clinton Foundation received donations from others connected to the deal. (Read more from “GOP Resolution Calls for Mueller to Resign” HERE)

UN Human Rights Committee Formally Excludes Unborn Child From ‘Right to Life’

Despite pleas from more than one hundred governments and pro-life organizations, including the United States and Poland, the UN Human Rights Committee has excluded unborn children from the right to life in international law this week in Geneva.

“I was worried for a minute we would discuss the word limit for separate opinions,” joked Yuval Shany. The Israeli law professor was mocking pro-life concerns as the committee rushed through a second reading of a controversial draft commentary on the right to life in what is perhaps the most important UN human rights treaty.

Shany, who has been in charge of the draft for two years, knew there would be no dissent. The 18 members of the committee that records the state efforts to implement the treaty unanimously agreed on a text that in some respects is more extreme than the previous one.

The committee added language about access to abortion not just being a right under the covenant, but that it must also be “affordable” and “effective,” as abortion groups recommended to the committee. U.S. law professor Sarah Cleveland said this was needed to make it easier for rape victims to obtain abortions.

No expert expressed concern for children in the womb capable of feeling pain, or brought up the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which expressly requires states to protect children “before birth.” (Read more from “UN Human Rights Committee Formally Excludes Unborn Child From ‘Right to Life'” HERE)
