More than 6 in 10 voters believe President Donald Trump and Elon Musk‘s Department of Government Efficiency will significantly reduce federal government spending over the next year.
The new polling from the Napolitan News Service, conducted by Scott Rasmussen at RMG Research, adds fresh evidence of DOGE‘s popularity despite unrelenting attacks from Democrats and the legacy media.
The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted Feb. 20-21, and found 62% are confident that DOGE will find savings in the federal government. Even among Democrats, 45% say Trump and DOGE are likely to significantly reduce spending, while 42% say it’s unlikely.
Just 39% of voters say Musk has gone too far with DOGE’s cuts, compared to 47% who disagree.

The 63-year-old onetime “Cheers” star slammed Fauci for his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and for his controversial push of azidothymidine, or AZT, during the AIDS crisis in the 1980s, the Daily Mail reported.
“He started with the AZT thing,” the three-time Oscar nominee said. “And, you know, AZT was known to be a highly toxic, really ineffective drug, and of course, that was the one they picked.
“And so they started using that again, and I don’t know how many people got killed,” he told Rogan. “That killed friends of mine. AZT was very toxic and they finally had to yank it. And now they use different chemical cocktails, but like, Fauci did some extraordinarily evil s–t.
“And he knows what he did,” he added.
Fauci, 84, has been a favorite punching bag for conservatives, including over vaccine mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic, which anti-vax advocates criticized as overbearing. Fauci, 84, who also served as former President Joe Biden’s chief medical advisor, has long been under fire for his views on vaccines – specifically when it came to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Hunger Games star brought up the disgraced doctor’s push for the AZT or azidothymidine vaccine back in the 1980’s during the AIDS crisis.

A federal judge cleared the way on Monday for the White House to continue barring The Associated Press from covering news events with President Trump, extending a legal fight over freedom of speech and press access, which Mr. Trump has long sought to challenge.
The Associated Press sued several top Trump administration officials last week, accusing them of violating the First and Fifth Amendments by barring its reporters from press events. The White House began turning away the wire service’s reporters this month, raising objections to its editorial decision to continue to refer to the Gulf of Mexico in its coverage, rather than calling the body of water the Gulf of America.
Judge Trevor N. McFadden of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, who was appointed by Mr. Trump, said The Associated Press’s circumstances were “not the type of dire situation” that would require emergency intervention against the White House, in part because the organization could still report the news through shared reports sent out to all media organizations in the White House Correspondents’ Association.

The House Judiciary Committee issued a series of subpoenas to the FBI on Monday aimed at obtaining documents related to President Biden’s weaponization of the agency against his political opponents. The move is an apparent attempt to eliminate any legal obstacles used by the bureaucracy to hide evidence of the prior administration’s abuse of the agency.
“Under the Biden Administration and the tenure of former Director Christopher Wray, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) departed from its core public safety mission, suffered from senior leadership failures, and refused any real transparency or accountability for its actions,” committee chair and Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, wrote in a letter to new FBI Director Kash Patel.
In the communique obtained by The Federalist, Jordan noted how the Judiciary Committee issued numerous subpoenas during the 118th Congress to the Wray-led FBI regarding information about the latter’s politicized activities and operations. However, Wray, according to the Ohio Republican, “failed to produce many of these materials” before stepping down from his position as FBI director.
The subpoenas issued on Monday and obtained by The Federalist seek records pertaining to some of the most notable Biden-era FBI scandals showcasing Democrats’ weaponization of the agency to target their political opponents. These include requests for information about the Biden administration’s 2021 targeting of concerned parents at school board meetings.
On Oct. 4, 2021, then-Attorney General Merrick Garland issued a directive ordering the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s Office to address what he claimed was “an increase in harassment, intimidation and threats of violence against school board members, teachers and workers in our nation’s public schools.” The edict was aimed at targeting parents outraged at public schools indoctrinating their children with radical left-wing ideologies pertaining to race and sex. There is reportedly trouble on the set of ABC News’s The View, where the hosts have loudly voiced their criticisms of President Donald Trump — whom the show hosted years ago.
The New York Post said Friday the hosts have been pressured to cool it with their rhetoric against Trump, while morale is also apparently suffering after layoffs and decisions to cut costs.
The Post article read:
One source close to the show’s co-hosts — Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro — said the fear and loathing is partly because Brian Teta, executive producer of the daytime gab-fest, spoke to staffers about “going easy” on Trump-related commentary in the days leading up to the 47th president taking the oath of office.
The directive followed an embarrassing moment in November when the co-hosts were forced to issue four “legal notes” or disclaimers during a broadcast while discussing allegations leveled at several of Trump’s cabinet nominees.

A multi-agency manhunt for a seven-time deported Salvadoran illegal alien wanted for murder came to a head Monday night, with the subject taken safely into custody. The suspected MS-13 gang member took off on Monday after allegedly stabbing a neighbor in the Colony Ridge subdivision. Colony Ridge is reported to be Texas’ largest migrant colony.
Earlier on Monday, A Salvadoran migrant with suspected ties to the hyperviolent MS-13 gang reportedly got into an altercation on County Road 5740 in Colony Ridge. Montgomery County Police Reporter’s publisher Scott Engle told Breitbart Texas the altercation ended with the victim being stabbed to death in his truck which was parked at his home.
The U.S. State Department declared MS-13 to be a Foreign Terrorist Organization late last week, Breitbart Texas’ Ildefonso Ortiz reported.
The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and special agents, and Homeland Security Investigations special agents teamed up to search for the suspected killer. By approximately 10 p.m. CST, police took the suspected killer into custody, Engle told Breitbart Texas.

The Trump administration is eliminating over a thousand positions at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), while also placing the majority of the remaining staff members on administration leave globally, just before midnight Sunday.
The Associated Press reported that it learned from the Trump administration that 1,600 posts would be eliminated after reviewing notices that were sent to USAID workers.
“As of 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, February 23, 2025, all USAID direct hire personnel, with the exception of designated personnel responsible for mission-critical functions, core leadership and/or specially designated programs, will be placed on administrative leave globally,” the notices read.
The Trump administration intends on leaving fewer than 300 staffers on the job, out of the current 8,000 contractors and direct hires.
The less than 300 remaining staff, along with an unknown number of the 5,000 locally hired international staff members abroad, will run the few life-saving programs that the administration said it intends to keep in place for the time being. President Trump’s appointment of Paula White as head of the newly established White House Faith Office is the worst decision of his young presidency.
I say this as someone who has voted for him three times (in separate elections) and is thrilled with practically everything he has done thus far. He is exceeding my expectations in every regard — except this one.
In addition to her new position, Paula White is the “pastor” of StoryLife Church and the host of her own television show titled “Paula Today.” Her relationship with President Trump began over 20 years ago when he saw one of her television programs and contacted her, telling her that she had “the ‘It Factor.’” He later made appearances on her show. James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family ministry, said that Paula White led Trump to Christ.
White, however, is one of the most visible proponents of Word of Faith theology, more commonly referred to as the health and wealth, or prosperity, gospel. The Word of Faith movement is not merely wrong in secondary matters of Christian theology, but it represents a dramatic departure from some of the basic tenets of historical Christianity. A thorough treatment of the heresies of this movement is beyond the scope of this article, but at its heart is the belief that if you are a Christian, you are a “little god.”

A groundbreaking study from Manchester Metropolitan University has revealed that vaping could pose greater health risks than smoking, with users facing increased dangers of dementia, heart disease and organ failure.
The first-of-its-kind research, released today, found that e-cigarettes may be more hazardous than traditional cigarettes due to their continuous usage pattern and high nicotine content.
The research found that vapers and smokers showed similar patterns of blood vessel damage and impaired blood flow.
“What we have found is the dangers for someone who keeps vaping are no different from smokers,” said Dr Maxime Boidin, the study’s lead researcher.
