If H.R. McMaster’s commitment to President Trump’s conservative agenda is to be judged by those who defend him and want him to stay on as White House national security adviser, it’s not looking good for him.
In the past McMaster has been publicly defended by Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., groups funded by George Soros and Media Matters.
Now comes the latest endorsement, from the Islamist group CAIR, also known as the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which was shown in federal court to be a front group for Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood’s branch in the Holy Land.

Aug. 12, 2013: WND reported how the HBO series “The Newsroom” actually faked a news story to portray the real-life news site WND as fabricating the news.
“The Newsroom” TV series, which starred Jeff Daniels as the main anchor for Atlantic Cable News, centered on the everyday exploits of network TV journalists.
In its fifth episode of the season, the plot had its executive producer Don Keefer (played by actor Thomas Sadowski) dealing with an out-of-control joke about an Obama appointee that supposedly was taken seriously by WND.
“The Newsroom” used real WND graphics to forge its fabricated story whenever it displayed the site’s content on the air.

Following the circulation of an internal memo criticizing Google’s restrictive PC workplace environment, employees have freaked out, calling for the memo’s author to be fired.
A software engineer at Google published a ten-page memo where he criticized “Google’s Ideological Echo Chamber,” resulting in controversy amongst employees within the Google+ internal social network. The author argues within the memo that women are underrepresented in tech fields not because of discrimination, but because of inherent psychological differences between men and women, echoing a similar argument made by former Breitbart senior editor Milo Yiannopoulos in 2016. When discussing Google’s educational guidelines for young women, the memo’s author writes, “We need to stop assuming that gender gaps imply sexism.”

The horrific treatment of Dr. Paul Church has become a nightmare – affecting him, of course, but ultimately all of us as well. Because he told the medical truth and refused to bow to political correctness on this critical public health issue, he has now been banned from four prominent Boston area hospitals and a urology clinic . . .
Dr. Church is a urologist who was on the staff of several major Boston area hospitals and clinics for nearly 30 years. He was on the faculty of Harvard Medical School. He has done research on diagnosing prostate and bladder cancer, and has spoken to educational and civic groups on the subject of high-risk sexual behaviors.
In 2015, as we reported, Dr. Church was expelled from the staff of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) where he had worked for 28 years. The reason? His comments to colleagues that homosexuality is medically unhealthy and that a hospital should not be promoting and celebrating that behavior in “gay pride” events and other hospital-sponsored activities.
Subsequently, he was expelled from two more Boston area hospitals, Brigham & Women’s Faulkner, where also had worked for 28 years, and Beth Israel Deaconess-Needham, where had worked for over six years. Both hospitals admitted that they did not expel Dr. Church because of anything he said or did at those hospitals. He had a perfect performance record. They expelled him because of his original comments made at BIDMC.
After being expelled by the three hospitals, Dr. Church needed a hospital for patient referrals. A fourth hospital, St. Elizabeth’s in Boston, made an offer in 2016 to bring Dr. Church onto their staff, but then abruptly cancelled it. He had been approved by hospital officials all the way up the ladder to join St. Elizabeth’s. Contracts had been signed and even business cards had been printed up. But as he was about to start work, he was informed that they had disapproved his credentialing. The administrators cited “other disputes” and his hiring was cancelled. Dr. Church later found out that hospital officials feared repercussions by the LGBT community for his views expressed at BIDMC.
He has also been dismissed from an independent urology clinic. In addition to the four hospitals, Dr. Church was asked to leave the staff of Men’s Health Boston, a urology clinic where he had been in practice for more than 10 years. He was told that the reason was his dispute at BIDMC. They told him, “We don’t agree with what you’re doing,” and that the BIDMC issue would be “bad for business.” . . .
Currently, Dr. Church continues to see some patients at a private office in suburban Boston. But without hospital staff privileges, he can no longer do hospital work or perform needed surgeries himself. His livelihood has been significantly impacted as a result.
All the major Boston hospitals now participate in the annual “Gay Pride Week” – a public display of sexual and emotional dysfunction. They also heavily promote LGBT events and issues internally. Shapiro played a clip of MSNBC’s Brian Williams admitting, “Our job tonight actually is to scare people to death.” The media agenda is to make people panic, to make people think President Trump cannot rationally handle nuclear weapons and the North Korean situation, Shapiro explained.

The owners of an Atlanta gym are the victims in a case of mistaken identity, as criticism mounts for neighboring EAV Barbell Club and its controversial “No Cop” policy.
Jim Chambers, owner of EAV Barbell Club, has an explicit “no cop” policy at his gym, where cops and active members of the military are not allowed to join.
“We’ve had an explicitly stated ‘no cop’ policy since we opened, and we also don’t open membership to active members of the military,” Chambers said. His position has ignited a firestorm of outrage from Americans who have been calling the gym and demanding an end to the policy.
But WXIA reports that many people have been calling the wrong gym, because the first result after searching Google for “East Atlanta Gym” is “Village Fitness,” not “EAV Barbell Club.”
You can imagine how the owners of Village Fitness were quite confused when they began receiving calls and had people walking in asking about a “no cop” policy.
“I’m like, wait a second — that’s definitely not us,” Tara Perry of Village Fitness told WXIA. “We do not feel that way.”
But instead of righteous indignation, Village Fitness is happy to clear things up by openly declaring its support for the police and the military. The gym put out a sign in front of its building Wednesday, declaring “We Support Police and Our Military,” and in a Facebook post reiterated its support for “the whole village.”
“When you think of an EV gym, people think of us — Village Fitness. We’ve been here so long, we’re established with the community,” Perry said. “We support our local police and military. We offer discounts for them.”

President Donald Trump said he doesn’t intend to fire special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 election and possible ties between the Kremlin and the Trump campaign
“I haven’t given it any thought. Well, I’ve been reading about it from you people,” Trump said Thursday during an impromptu press conference that followed a national security briefing with his team at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
“You say, ‘Oh, I’m going to dismiss him.’ No, I’m not dismissing anybody,” Trump told reporters, referring to Mueller, a former FBI director.
“I mean, I want them to get on with the task. But I also want the Senate and the House to come out with their findings. Now, judging from the people leaving the meetings, they leave the meetings all the time and they say, ‘We haven’t found anything.’”
Trump has called the Russia investigation a “witch hunt” and repeatedly denied any collusion.
Reports surfaced last week that Mueller had impaneled a grand jury in Washington. On Wednesday, news broke that FBI agents had made a predawn raid on the home of Paul Manafort, Trump’s one-time campaign manager, late last month.
“He was with the campaign, as you know, for a very short period of time, relatively short period of time, but I’ve always known him to be a good man,” Trump said of Manafort.
He expressed disappointment that the FBI conducted a surprise search of Manafort’s residence in the wee hours, saying, “they do that very seldom. ”
“So, I was surprised to see it,” he added. “I’ve always found Paul Manafort to be a very decent man.”
Trump said he and his administration have cooperated with Mueller, but seemed to suggest minor paperwork problems could turn up. He said:
We have an investigation of something that never took place. And all I say is ‘Work with them,’ because this is an event that never took place. Now, as far as somebody else, where did they file the right papers, or did they forget to file a paper.
You know, like I guarantee that if we went around and looked at everybody who made a speech or whatever these people did, that’s up to them. Did they do something wrong because they didn’t file the right document or whatever? Perhaps, you’d have to look at them, but there are probably a lot of people in Washington who have done the same thing.

President Donald Trump said Thursday that his “fire and fury” warning to North Korea’s dictator may not have been strong enough.
He also turned up the heat on Kim Jong Un’s threats toward the U.S. territory of Guam.
“Let’s see what he does with Guam. He does something in Guam, it will be an event the likes of which nobody’s seen before, what will happen in North Korea,” Trump said, adding:
It’s not a dare. It’s a statement. It has nothing to do with dare. That’s a statement. He’s not going to go around threatening Guam and he’s not going to threaten the United States and he’s not going to threaten Japan and he’s not going to threaten South Korea.
During two press conferences at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey—one before and another after a national security briefing—Trump also pressed Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to pass more GOP agenda items such as health care and tax reforms, and vowed to address the opioid drug crisis.
One reporter asked at the first press conference whether the Trump administration is considering a pre-emptive strike against North Korea, which intelligence officials believe has developed a miniaturized nuclear warhead to mount on an intercontinental ballistic missile.
“We don’t talk about that. We never do,” Trump said, explaining he didn’t want to reveal plans to an enemy, as he said other administrations have.
“I’m not like the other administration that would say we’re going into Mosul in four months. I don’t talk about it,” he said. “We’ll see what happens. But I can tell you that what they’ve been doing and what they’ve been getting away with is a tragedy, and it can’t be allowed.”
Trump added: “We’re always considering negotiations, but they’ve been negotiating now for 25 years.”
He referred to his three immediate predecessors, Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton:
Clinton folded on negotiations, he was weak and ineffective. You look what happened with Bush, you look what happened with Obama. Obama, he didn’t even want to talk about it. But I talk. Somebody has to do it.
When asked whether his Tuesday promise of “fire and fury” to North Korea if it doesn’t behave was too much, Trump responded: “Maybe it wasn’t tough enough.”
Asked what’s tougher, he replied: “You’ll see.”
Trump praised Russia and China for joining a 15-0 vote in the U.N. Security Council to place new sanctions on North Korea, and Nikki Haley for her related work as U.N. ambassador.
The president also sought to calm the nerves and fears of worried Americans:
The people of this country should be very comfortable, and I will tell you this. If North Korea does anything in terms of even thinking about attack of anybody that we love or we represent or our allies or us, they can be very, very nervous. I’ll tell you why. And they should be very nervous. Because things will happen to them like they never thought possible, OK? He’s been pushing the world around for a long time.
Trump, without naming him, was referring to Kim, head of the communist regime.
Trump already had been tough on McConnell in tweets earlier that day, responding to the Republican Senate leader’s criticism that the president had unrealistic expectations.
“But I said, ‘Mitch, get to work and let’s get it done,’” he said of McConnell.
“They should have had this last one done,” Trump said, referring to the Senate’s failure to make progress on getting rid of Obamacare. “They lost by one vote. For a thing like that to happen is a disgrace.”
A reporter asked whether McConnell should step down as majority leader, on which Trump was noncommittal.
“Well, I’ll tell you what. If he doesn’t get [Obamacare] repeal and replace done, if he doesn’t get taxes done, meaning cuts and reform, and if he doesn’t get a very easy one to get done—infrastructure—if he doesn’t get that done, then you should ask me that question,” Trump said during the first press conference.
During the second press conference, Trump compared McConnell’s effort with that of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, the wife of the Senate majority leader.
“Elaine is doing a very good job. We’re very proud of Elaine as secretary of transportation, as you know,” Trump said. “She’s doing a very good job. I’m very disappointed in Mitch. If he gets these bills passed, I’ll be very happy with him, and I’ll be the first to admit it.”
The president said opioid addiction is a national emergency, and a problem across the world.
“The opioid crisis is an emergency, and I’m saying officially right now it is an emergency,” Trump said. “It’s a national emergency. A man described by neighbors as “quarrelsome” and who placed large anti-Trump signs in his yard is in police custody for the murder of his next-door neighbor – a GOP committeeman.
Police in West Goshen Township, PA, charged Clayton Carter, 51, in the shooting death of his next-door neighbor, G. Brooks Jennings in the early morning hours on Tuesday, according to ABC Philadelphia.
The conflict began on Monday evening when police officers responded to a dispute between Carter and Jennings that involved cursing and video recording in one of their backyards. Police de-escalated the conflict around 8 p.m. and left.
Shortly after midnight, police say another conflict erupted between the two neighbors as Carter claims that Jennings shined a light into his eyes. Carter purportedly told police that he then drove his car onto his lawn and shined the car’s high beams towards Jennings.
Investigators say it was at this point when Carter went into his home and grabbed a .380 semi-automatic pistol and confronted Jennings. Carter allegedly shot Jennings in the head, knocking him to the ground, and then stood over his body and shot him in the head again. Police say the victim Carter shot Jennings on Jennings property. I’m not a big fan of James Franco’s work, other than Freaks and Geeks and the first 20 minutes of Pineapple Express. But I’ve always kind of admired his eclectic interests. He doesn’t let Hollywood tell him what “movie stars” should and shouldn’t do, and he gets himself into all sorts of weird, esoteric stuff. He’s a dilettante, but at least he actually seems to care about the things he dabbles in. His latest venture is a YouTube series called Philosophy Time, where he sits around with academics and kinda-sorta debates various topics for a few minutes. In one recent episode, he jumped right in and stomped on that third rail: abortion.
Here he is discussing it with Elizabeth Harman, a philosophy prof at Princeton. See what you think of her argument for why abortion isn’t immoral:
“I defend the view that there is nothing morally bad about early abortion. So, a lot of people think, ‘Well, it’s permissible to have an abortion, but something bad happens when the fetus dies.’ And I think if a fetus hasn’t ever been conscious, it hasn’t ever had any experiences, and we aborted it at that stage, actually nothing morally bad happens… So, James, when you were an early fetus, and Eliot, when you were an early fetus, all of us I think we already did have moral status then. But we had moral status in virtue of our futures… But some early fetuses will die in early pregnancy due to abortion or miscarriage. And in my view that is a very different kind of entity. That’s something that doesn’t have a future as a person and it doesn’t have moral status.”
“Can’t you only judge that in hindsight?”
