Hackers Took Over Electronic Voting Machines in Two Hours at DEF CON

Hackers at the Las Vegas’ annual DEF CON event took over electronic voting machines in a display of a simulation run for the White House proving that rigging an election is indeed possible, something that many researchers have warned about for several years.

It took under 90 minutes for hackers to physically break down the 30 voting machines and discover weaknesses in their defenses, The Register UK reported.

Of the 30 voting booths, the hardware and software were manufactured by Diebold, Sequoia and Winvote.

Hackers proved the low level of security that voting machines have had which has been known for years; even a former Diebold contractor whistleblower, Chris Hood, told of the weakness of security and how easily voting machines can be exploited.

One of the voting booths was wirelessly hacked by a hacker proving that you only need to be near it and in range, not physically next to it, to exploit the system’s software like how Princeton University demonstrated 10 years ago.

“Without question, our voting systems are weak and susceptible. Thanks to the contributions of the hacker community today, we’ve uncovered even more about exactly how,” Jake Braun, a hacker said.

The scary thing is we also know that our foreign adversaries — including Russia, North Korea, Iran — possess the capabilities to hack them too, in the process undermining the principles of democracy and threatening our national security.

The other main issue isn’t physical voting but rather allowing voters to vote online. It’s convenience vs. security. A whopping 30 states offered voters the option of online voting despite the fact that it was known by security researchers to be vulnerable during the 2016 election last year. That’s enough states to flip the vote and nullify democracy.

Online voting is not secure and can be heavily tampered with finding various vulnerabilities in outdated software and hardware alike.

Finally, the last issue is bribing programmers or the poll workers who are supposed to oversee the election as Diebold programmer Clinton Eugene Curtis alleged when he testified that Tom Feeney (Speaker of the House of Florida at the time) told him to rig election counts for a paycheck.

Numbers don’t match up, time and time again in the exit polls; as investigator Richard Charin found, the polls don’t match up some by a whopping 10% or more.

Everything is working according to plan and the sheepish American public, as a congressman known only as Congressman X inferred in his book, are following right along with no objection; therefore, we are consenting to all this mistreatment and perversion of democracy.

SCREW THE NEXT GENERATION’ AND ‘HARRY REID’S A POMPOUS A**’: DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSMAN X WRITES ANONYMOUS TELL-ALL BOOK SLAMMING ‘NATION OF NAIVE, SELF-ABSORBED SHEEP’ AS HE ADMITS HE NEVER READS BILLS HE VOTES ON. ~ CONGRESSMAN X

Although the machines the hackers breached were not fully secured, according to The Register UK, it reveals the potential for damage that is possible.

The good news is that we have three years to fix our current voting problems and structure, but that’s only if voting for a new establishment head even matters. (For more from the author of “Hackers Took Over Electronic Voting Machines in Two Hours at DEF CON” please click HERE)

Murkowski Refuses to Explain Why She Campaigned on Obamacare Repeal but Voted Against It

Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski refused to explain why she voted against the repeal of the Affordable Care Act when she previously supported similar proposals in her campaigns.

Following the failed “skinny repeal late Thursday night, Murkowski, one of the three Republican senators who voted against it, told The Daily Caller she was not ready to respond to why she campaigned on repealing Obamacare in her last election but reversed her position on the matter recently.

“I am really very tired and so you’re asking for a really thoughtful response and I actually appreciate your question but rather than respond to each and individual request with all of these cameras around me, I’m gonna take a pass,” she said . . .

Murkowski, who was first appointed to the Senate by her father Frank Murkowski, who previously occupied the seat and ran for governor, to finish out his term in 2002 later ran for to complete a full term and won in 2004.

However, when she ran for a second term, she lost the Republican nomination to tea party favorite Joe Miller in 2010. Murkowski managed to defeat Miller as running as a write-in candidate. Although she has won three terms in office, Murkowski has never won a majority of voters in her state. Many Americans Are Too Drugged-Out to Work

A slew of reports finds a fresh reason for the chronic inability of American companies to fill skilled jobs: not a lack of skills, and hence a training-and-education crisis, but a surfeit of drug abuse, per the NYT’s Nelson Schwartz. Simply put, prime-working age Americans without a college diploma are often too drugged-out to get the best jobs. Opioids remain at high levels, but the surge in drug use is now heroin and the powerful contaminant fentanyl.

The reports suggest a circularity to the crisis in America’s rust and manufacturing belts: the loss of jobs and wage stagnation has led to widespread disaffection, alienation and drug abuse; and drug abuse has led to joblessness, hopelessness and disaffection . . .

What was evident, Kolko told Axios: A “clear, steady upward trend in illness/disability as reason for not working among prime-age adults. And even more striking, the level and trend are very similar for men and women, even though most of the attention on this issue is going to men.” (Read more from “Many Americans Are Too Drugged-Out to Work” HERE)

Bible Studies at the White House: Who’s Inside This Spiritual Awakening?

. . .Some of the most powerful people in America have been gathering weekly to learn more about God’s Word, and this Trump Cabinet Bible study is making history . . .

Ralph Drollinger of Capitol Ministries told CBN News, “These are godly individuals that God has risen to a position of prominence in our culture” . . .

Drollinger is a former NBA-playing giant of a man with an even bigger calling. He founded Capitol Ministries with the idea that if you change the hearts of lawmakers, then their Christian world view will guide them to make good policies.

He’s started Bible studies in 40 state capitols, a number of foreign capitols, teaches weekly studies in the U.S. House and Senate and now leads about a dozen members of President Trump’s Cabinet in weekly studies of the scriptures.

Health Secretary Tom Price, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Agriculture Secretary Sunny Perdue, and CIA Director Mike Pompeo are just a few of the regulars. (Read more from “Bible Studies at the White House: Who’s Inside This Spiritual Awakening?” HERE)

‘Betrayal’ — Left-Wingers Furious With Democrats’ Support for Pro-Life Candidates

The Democratic party is facing a revolt from the left after the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chairman said the party would back pro-life candidates in 2018.

The DCCC chairman, Rep. Ben Ray Lujan, told The Hill that there will not be “a litmus test” for candidates on the subject of abortion. Lujan’s comments come as Democrats attempt to rebuild a broken party that has hemorrhaged elected offices on both the state and national level.

Lujan’s comments sparked immediate outrage from left-wingers.

“I’m afraid I’ll be with holding support for the DCCC if this is true,” said former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, whose name was briefly floated this year as a candidate for DNC chair. (Read more from “‘Betrayal’ — Left-Wingers Furious With Democrats’ Support for Pro-Life Candidates” HERE)

This Is the Poll Number That Should Have Trump Worried

President Donald Trump has a 39 percent approval rating in a Rasmussen Reports poll released Monday. It is the first time Trump has dipped below 40 percent approval in the Rasmussen poll, which has consistently been more favorable to Trump than other polls.

The poll shows that 39 percent of likely voters approve of Trump’s job performance, while 61 percent of likely voters disapprove. The poll showed that 49 percent of voters strongly disapprove of his presidency, while 26 percent strongly approve.

The findings come after Senate Republicans failed to pass health care reform and as the White House has a staff shake-up. The House of Representatives did pass partial funding for Trump’s border wall last week, and the stock market remains robust. GOP Establishment’s Nightmare: Senator Roy Moore?

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has had trouble pulling his GOP ranks together for almost any issue lately.

True, the senators did approve Neil Gorsuch for the U.S. Supreme Court, but on Obamacare, and a number of other issues, there just hasn’t been a lot of success in reaching unanimity.

It’s partly because he’s working with liberals like Sen. John McCain, who just last week torpedoed an effort to fix some of the more egregious mandate problems with Obamacare. And with conservatives like Sens. Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, who frequently lobby for positions of less government, lower taxes and just-let-people-run-their-own-lives.

So imagine adding to that mix a senator who’s been a state Supreme Court chief justice, a well-known and respected leader in his own state, a man who’s documented that he’s intimidated by no one – and someone who describes Islam as a “false religion,” says emphatically that marriage is between one man and one woman and believes – publicly – that America is a nation that owes its founding and survival so far to Almighty God . . .

That’s a very real possibility because the among the nine candidates for the GOP nomination to replace Sen. Jeff Sessions, named by President Trump to be attorney general and still there despite disagreements between the two, is former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore. Man ‘Marries’ His Laptop, Sues for State Recognition and a Wedding Cake

Chris Sevier says that if same-sex couples are able to get married and demand that Christian bakers make them wedding cakes, then he should be allowed to marry his laptop and demand a cake to celebrate the union between one man and one machine.

The self-identified “machinist” says he married his laptop in a ceremony in New Mexico, and now he has sued to demand that a Colorado baker — who is already in court after refusing to bake for a same-sex marriage — must be compelled to make cakes for him and his computer “bride.” He also has filed a lawsuit demanding that Utah recognize his man-object marriage.

It’s the latest battlefront in an increasingly thorny area of law, after the U.S. Supreme Court in 2015 established a constitutional right to same-sex marriage.

While legal analysts said the case is a stretch, a judge in Utah has allowed part of that lawsuit to proceed, and analysts concede that Mr. Sevier’s claims get to the heart of how far the 2015 Obergefell ruling stretches when it comes to nontraditional unions.

“If marriage based on self-asserted sex-based identity narratives is a ‘fundamental right,’ ‘individual right,’ ‘existing right,’ based on a ‘personal choice’ for homosexuals, then clearly it is also a ‘fundamental right,’ ‘individual right,’ ‘existing right,’ based on a ‘personal choice’ for polygamists, zoophiles and machinists,” Mr. Sevier and several self-identified polygamists said in their lawsuit against Masterpiece Cakeshop, the Colorado baker they are challenging. Verdict in for Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Former Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio was found guilty of contempt Monday for disobeying a judge’s order to stop detaining illegal immigrants, raising the possibility of a jail sentence for the lawman once known as “America’s toughest sheriff.”

U.S. District Court Judge Susan Bolton issued her verdict a few weeks three weeks after the trial ended July 6, with sentencing scheduled for Oct. 5.

The former sheriff has long been a hero of the border-security movement, drawing headlines for having inmates live in a tent city and wear pink underwear as well as his fight against illegal immigration

He said the judge “violated the United States Constitution by issuing her verdict without even reading it to the defendant in public court. Her verdict is contrary to what every single witness testified in the case. Arpaio believes that a jury would have found in his favor, and that it will.”

Mr. Arpaio, 85, who served as sheriff for 24 years before losing his seventh bid for office in November, faces a maximum six months in jail at his Oct. 5 sentencing, but court watchers say the judge is unlikely to put him behind bars, given his age. Airport Employee Punches an Passenger Who Was Holding a Baby

Airport officials in Nice, France, have confirmed that an employee at the Nice Airport has been suspended after punching a passenger who was holding a baby at the time.

The altercation took place on Saturday, as passengers waited to board an EasyJet flight to Luton, England. According to witnesses, the passenger’s wife had been complaining about the flight’s significant delay — more than 12 hours — when her husband approached another airport employee and the exchange turned physical.

“The man with the baby … went over and talked to the Frenchman and the Frenchman didn’t reply, he just smiled and smirked and then whacked this guy on the left side of his face,” said Arabella Arkwright, an EasyJet passenger standing behind the family, in an interview with BBC Radio 5.

Arkwright also took a photo of the altercation, which appears to capture the exact moment the employee’s fist makes contact with the man’s face.
