Palestinian Authority Calls Netanyahu “The Partner for Peace”, Calls for Increased Cooperation With Israel

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas gave a rare interview on Thursday for Israeli television in which he stated he views Prime Minister Netanyahu as a “the partner for peace” and is ready to meet with the Prime Minister and renew peace talks. He also as spoke of efforts by the Palestinian Authority (PA) to deter terror attacks and violence perpetuated by Palestinian youth and called for an end to violence.

The interview aired on Thursday evening, Abbas speaking at length on coordination between Israel and the PA to hinder attacks by Palestinian youth on Israelis. He stated “Our security forces go into the schools to search pupils’ bags and see if they have knives. You don’t know this… In one school, we found 70 boys and girls who were carrying knives. We took the knives and spoke to them and said ‘This is a mistake. We do not want you to kill and be killed. We want you to live, and for the other side to live as well.’”

He spoke of the chaos and reality of the Palestinian Authority on the “brink of collapse” calling that responsibility be given to him to deal with the situation, and for Israel to assist. He stated “Give me responsibility for the Palestinian territories, and test me… if Israel has specific intelligence information, give it to me and I’ll handle it.” He stated that he is not given intelligence information and asked, “So what am I doing here? Where is the security cooperation? You want me to be your employee, your agent. I don’t accept this, I want to do it myself.”

Abbas called Netanyahu “the partner for peace” stating that he wants to see peace in his lifetime and that “I still extend a hand to Netanyahu because I believe in peace. Parents Furious Over ‘Privilege’ Quiz

Florida parents are livid at a Spanish teacher who assigned middle-school students a form titled “How privileged are you?” during class.

Seventh- and eighth-grade students at Monroe Middle School in Tampa were asked questions about race, gender, sexual orientation, disabilities, and religion during a Spanish lesson. The teacher, who has been pulled from the classroom while officials investigate, allegedly used the form as a way to promote “diversity.”

“Her sexuality and all that has nothing to do with the school,” parent Regina Stiles told WTSP-10 on Tuesday. “You’re here to teach my child a foreign language – not anything else.”

Stiles’ daughter revealed her ADHD in the form’s “mentality disability” box due to the teacher’s opinion on the condition. The child was also asked to consider boxes labeled “genderqueer” and “pansexual.” (Read more from “Parents Furious Over ‘Privilege’ Quiz” HERE)

Spies and Shadowy Allies Lurk in Secret, Thanks to Firm’s Bag of Tricks

One day during his presidential re-election campaign in September 1996, Bill Clinton walked into a room in Westin Crown Center hotel in Kansas City, Mo. At stake was a quarter-million dollars in campaign fundraising. Clinton turned to his generous host, Farhad Azima, and led the guests in song.

“Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you….”

Azima, an Iranian-born American charter airline executive, had long donated to both Democratic and Republican administrations. He visited the Clinton White House 10 times between October 1995 and December 1996, including private afternoon coffees with the president. Years later, as Hillary Clinton stood for election to the Senate in December 1999, Azima hosted her and 40 guests for a private dinner that raised $2,500 a head.

Azima’s Democratic fundraising activities provided an interesting twist in the career of a man who has found himself in a media storm of one of America’s major political scandals, the Iran-Contra affair, during the Republican Reagan Administration.

In the mid-1980s, senior Reagan administration officials secretly arranged to sell weapons to Iran to help free seven American hostages then use the sale proceeds to fund right-wing Nicaraguan rebels known as the Contras. On a mission to Tehran in 1985, one of Azima’s Boeing 707 cargo planes delivered 23 tons of military equipment, The New York Times reported. Christian Actor Just Revealed a Dark Secret About Life in Hollywood

“I don’t know why in Hollywood you have to be afraid to say you’re a Christian, but there’s a lot of bashing of Christians going on over the last decade.”

Those are the words of actor and director Kevin Sorbo, who recently gave an interview to the Gospel Herald. Sorbo, 57, is a Christian and also known for roles of Professor Radisson in “God’s Not Dead,” Hercules in “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys,” Captain Dylan Hunt in “Andromeda,” and Kull in “Kull the Conqueror.”

Sorbo is currently working on several projects, including “The Carpool Lane,” which co-stars Dean Cain, and “Let There Be Light,” a faith-based Christmas movie which will come out Christmas 2017. He discussed with Leah Marieann Klett of the Gospel Herald the current nature of faith-based films and what it’s like to be a Christian actor in Hollywood . . .

GH: In the past, you’ve been critical about the production quality and content of faith-based films. In your opinion, what’s the biggest problem with faith-based films? Is the faith-based film industry getting better?

KS: I think that most people would agree that faith-based movies back in the 70’s, 80’s, and even the 90’s were very cheesy, poorly written, and poorly acted. A lot of people were turned off by them, because they were also too preachy. We live in a world where people don’t want to be told what to believe in and what not to believe in. You have to walk a fine line to hold an audience – obviously, you’ve got the choir up there, but you don’t want to just preach to the choir, you want to preach to the “independent voters” – someone who is searching for what to believe.

NC Lt. Gov: If Bathroom Law Protects One Child From Being Molested, It’s Worth It

In response to PayPal’s decision to not open an operations center in Charlotte, N.C. that would employ 400 people because of the state’s new law requiring people to use the bathrooms and locker rooms of their biological gender, Lt. Gov. Dan Forest said if the new law protects one child or one woman “from being molested or assaulted, then it was worth it.” He added that despite the job losses, North Carolina does not put “a price tag on the value of our children.”

“If our action in keeping men out of women’s bathrooms and showers protected the life of just one child or one woman from being molested or assaulted, then it was worth it,” said Lt. Gov. Forest in a statement following PayPal’s announcement on April 5.

“North Carolina will never put a price tag on the value of our children,” he said. “They are precious and priceless.”

“If a corporation wanting to do business in North Carolina does not see the worth of our children in the same light, then I wish them well as they do business somewhere else.”

PayPal is a pro-LGBT company, and in an April 5 statement, CEO Dan Schulman said the North Carolina law “perpetuates discrimination and it violates the values and principles that are at the core of PayPal’s mission and culture. CDC: Potentially Zika Carrying Mosquitoes Could Inhabit All but 10 States This Summer

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) updated a report last week illustrating on U.S. maps that the two mosquitoes with the potential to transmit the Zika virus, as well as other viruses such as dengue and chikungunya, could inhabit areas this summer that include parts of all but ten states in the United States.

The report on Zika and pregnancy also states: “Mosquitoes are the deadliest animals in the world because of the diseases they spread.” (but see recent article debunking the pregnancy defect link HERE)

Much of U.S. territory–from California to Virginia to Maine–is in the potential range of the Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes, which have the potential to transmit the Zika virus. Of the two, the CDC says, the Aedes aegypti mosquitos are the “more likely to spread viruses.”

The CDC also verified to CNSNews.com via email that the map of potential exposure includes all but 10 states in the United States.

Only Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Michigan, and Utah are outside the potential range of both of these mosquitoes. New Report Just Made Big Claim About ‘Secret Meeting’ Trump Had That He Won’t Want His Fans to See

By Gerry Urbanek. According to a new report, Republican front-runner Donald Trump privately met with nearly a dozen special interest groups during a meeting in Washington, D.C., last week.

The New York Times reported that Trump met with a variety of individuals, including special interest representatives, lobbyists, and the chief executive of a major airline trade organization.

Trump’s campaign spokeswoman, Hope Hicks, told the New York Times that the meeting was arranged by Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), who invited people he has “great respect” for.

According to Hicks, “Mr. Trump didn’t know them, but it was a brief meeting that took place right after the lengthy foreign policy team meeting.” The meeting occurred last Thursday at the Old Post Office Pavilion in Washington.

The Times reported that Nicholas E. Calio — who worked for President George H.W. Bush in legislative affairs and as a former lobbyist — was one of the members present at the meeting. Calio serves as the chief executive for Airlines for America, a large air travel trade organization. Report: Trump Secretly Met Special Interest Groups

By Mark Hensch. GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump privately met with representatives from nearly a dozen special interest groups in Washington, D.C., last week, according to a new report.

Trump huddled with a range of individuals, including a veteran lobbyist and the chief executive of a major airline trade organization, The New York Times reported . . .

Trump also reportedly spoke with Juanita Duggan, the president and chief executive of the National Federation of Independent Business. The former aide for the Reagan and H.W. Bush administrations was also an official with the tobacco giant Philip Morris Companies.

Trump has frequently derided the power wielded by wealthy special interests, arguing that their influence often runs counter to voters.

A Shocking Poll Was Just Released – This Could Change the Whole GOP Nomination Race

For the first time in the Republican primary, Reuters’ tracking poll shows Texas Sen. Ted Cruz leading Donald Trump among likely voters in the Republican primaries.

This is also the first time Donald Trump hasn’t led the tracking poll in 2016.

Cruz has the support of 39 percent of likely Republican voters nationwide, just ahead of Donald Trump, who has 37 percent support. Ohio Governor John Kasich is a distant third, with 23 percent support.

In the broader survey of all Republicans, rather than likely voters, Trump still has a four-point lead. This, however, is sharply down from the 28-point lead he enjoyed in the middle of March . . .

The Reuters tracking poll is based on a five-day rolling average of results. Each day, a new round of daily interviews are added to the tracking poll, while older interviews are dropped from the tracking poll. As a result, there can be daily blips in the poll. The overall trend, however, is unmistakable. Trump has lost a considerable amount of support in the past two weeks and Cruz’s support has surged. Heralded Author Identifies Dark Force Behind the Left

Michael Walsh is not suggesting they sacrifice goats, but he is saying there is something decidedly satanic about leftists’ politics, and he cites classical literature and history as his proof.

The author, Disney screenwriter, occasional New York Post op-ed columnist, regular contributor to National Review and PJ Media, winner of the American Books Awards prize for fiction for his 2004 novel, “And All the Saints,” and former music critic for Time magazine was in Washington this week to give a talk at the Family Research Council.

His highly acclaimed new book, “The Devil’s Pleasure Palace,” has garnered rave reviews from such conservative luminaries as Victor Davis Hanson, William Kristol and Kathryn Jean Lopez.

The title of the book comes from an obscure opera of the same name by Schubert, in which a pleasure palace offering all earthly delights turns out to be a deadly illusion, something Walsh finds echoed when leftist thought has been put into practice . . .

Congress Investigating Obama Administration for ‘Intentional Deception’

US lawmakers are questioning the Obama administration’s commitments to Congress over the Iran nuclear deal and its numerous guarantees that the Islamic Republic would not be granted extra concessions for signing it, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

Over the course of the last year, administration officials confirmed in Congressional testimony that the Iranian regime would not gain access to the US financial system and missile technology under the terms of the nuclear agreement. In one such instance, Acting Under Secretary of the Treasury Adam Szubin assured lawmakers in September that Iran would not be given the opportunity “to execute a dollarized transaction where a split second’s worth of business is done in a New York clearing bank.”

In March, however, the Associated Press reported that the Obama administration was contemplating “easing financial restrictions that prohibit US dollars from being used in transactions with Iran,” which is currently outlawed. This change in policy would result in a significant boost to Iran’s hard-hit economy.

US lawmakers on both sides of the aisle expressed their outrage over the president’s alleged policy backtrack, the report said, adding that Obama “promised to maintain a strict ban on dollars along with other non-nuclear penalties on Iran.” Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) wrote in a letter to the president that allowing Iran access to the dollar “is clearly not required” by the terms set forth in the nuclear agreement. In a statement, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WA) called the reports “deeply concerning,” and said, “The president should abandon this idea.”

In a second policy shift, Reuters reported, Washington has ceased referring to Iran’s ballistic-missile launches as a “violation” of UN Security Council Resolution 2231, which codifies the nuclear deal. In March, Iran test-fired a missile capable of carrying a nuclear payload, the report said, and US, British, French and German officials called this “inconsistent with” and “in defiance” of the resolution.
