What Miranda Lambert Wore to the Country Music Awards Will Outrage Leftists‏

The war to preserve the Second Amendment is not merely one fought in Congress. It is not merely fought in courtrooms. The real battle for the preservation of our right that protects all others is a cultural one.

Everywhere today, kids are told that guns are bad and that only bad people have them. A teen wears an NRA shirt to school and he is sent home. A child brings his favorite squirt gun to school and he’s treated as a mini domestic terrorist.

The left continually attempts to introduce doctors into the conversation about gun ownership. Liberals contend that gun ownership is both a mental health issue and a national health crisis.

We are fighting a very cultural war that will determine how future generations view gun ownership. Because of this war, the left is likely to be none-too-pleased with country music star Miranda Lambert’s choice of attire at the Country Music Awards on Sunday.

The country star won Female Vocalist of the Year at the awards for the sixth consecutive year. She came to the awards show with a tasteful dress, but with a small gun and holster attached to her pink stilettos. 21-Year-Old Student Hangs Herself After Terrible Grief Following Her Abortion

Three weeks after her abortion, 21-year-old Jade Rees played a popular song about an unborn baby on her phone, then took a rope and hung herself at her home in England.

The Sun reports Rees had an abortion after her unborn child’s father dumped her for another woman. Before she committed suicide on Nov. 3, 2015, she left a handwritten note for her parents, saying that she was struggling because of her abortion. She wrote a second note to her 2-year-old son. “He means everything to me,” she wrote.

An inquest into her death is on-going. Rees reportedly had been struggling with eating disorders and depression for years. According to the court hearing, Rees felt “upset and distressed” after aborting her unborn child.

She attempted suicide once before but was unsuccessful, and her parents took her to a psychiatrist for help, according to the court . . .

Her unborn child likely was at the forefront of her mind when she took her life. Before she committed suicide, Rees had listened to the song “Little Bump” on her phone, according to authorities. The popular Ed Sheeran song is an emotional tribute to a friend’s baby who was miscarried. (Read more from “21-Year-Old Student Hangs Herself After Terrible Grief Following Her Abortion” HERE)

Trump Just Exposed 1 Big Thing Ted Cruz Did, and Will ‘Do Again’ as President — Many Won’t Like It

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Friday that because Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is “controlled by the people that give him money,” he will support the controversial Obamatrade legislation after the election and implement Obama’s trade agenda if elected president.

“Now, he’s going to vote for it again,” said Trump, targeting Cruz, who has received the support of a wide range of GOP establishment supporters seeking to block Trump’s path to the GOP presidential nomination. “He’s going to vote for it again. He’s just waiting for after the election. He will vote for it –because the people who give him campaign contributions want it. He will vote for it right after the election.”

Cruz aligned himself with House Speaker Paul Ryan in 2015 in supporting the Trade Promotion Authority (TPA), which is a change in the procedures Congress uses to ratify trade deals.

TPA lowers the vote threshold for passage of a trade deal out of the Senate to a simple majority. It also eliminates the ability for Congress to amend any such trade deals. Approving TPA would allow other parts of the Obamatrade agenda to move through Congress.

“Ted Cruz is so far behind me in trade that he put a phony ad talking about how he’s going to get tough on trade,” Trump said Friday in an interview with Breitbart News. “Number one, he’s in favor of the Trans Pacific Partnership — which is going to be worse than NAFTA. And it’s going to absolutely destroy businesses in our country and businesses in Wisconsin.” (Read more from “Trump Just Exposed 1 Big Thing Ted Cruz Did, and Will ‘Do Again’ as President — Many Won’t Like It” HERE)

John Kasich: What’s the Case for Staying in Republican Race?

Or, to put it differently, in a presidential race that many increasingly see as a choice between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz—and in which many establishment Republicans see the Texas senator as the only viable choice to stop the Trump movement—why is Ohio Gov. John Kasich hanging around?

In fact, many Republicans are quietly hoping Kasich will drop out, fearing he will dilute the anti-Trump vote, starting Tuesday in Wisconsin, and enable the real-estate developer to win despite the kinds of difficulties he has encountered on questions such as abortion and nuclear arms.

Kasich and his supporters insist they see a path to the nomination. It’s circuitous and some would say implausible, but here it is in a nutshell:

It starts with an assumption that Trump won’t win the 1,237 delegates needed for a majority on the first ballot in Cleveland. That’s not implausible. He needs to win roughly two-thirds of the delegates bound to a specific candidate who remain to be chosen to get to that total, and that will be tougher if he loses in Wisconsin, where he trails Cruz in polls.

That would produce a convention that’s thrown wide open after the first ballot, because most delegates would be free to move to a candidate of their choosing. Some Trump delegates would move to Cruz, because they come from states where the party is choosing delegates that are, in fact, Cruz supporters, but not enough to give him the hundreds of additional delegates he would need. Dyed-in-the-wool Trump delegates who have bought into their candidate’s disdain of Cruz wouldn’t move into the Cruz camp. Cruz delegates angry at Trump for mocking and belittling their candidate and his wife wouldn’t move into the Trump camp. Trump Explodes: GOP Party Bosses Want to ‘Knock out the Outsider, They Want to Keep Their Little Party Going’ [+video]

By Tim Hains. Donald Trump comments on the distribution of delegates from the Louisiana Republican primary, where he won the popular vote, but was eventually assigned fewer delegates than GOP rival Ted Cruz.

It is a “crooked system,” Trump says. “I got thousands of more votes than Cruz — thousands. I got fewer delegates than him. Think of it!”

“They want to knock out the outsider, because they want to keep their little party going. And the reason our country owes –soon– $21 trillion is –the reason we owe all of this money, is because of this system.” (Read more from “Trump: Republican Party Bosses Want to ‘Knock out the Outsider, They Want to Keep Their Little Party Going'” HERE)

NYU Students Who Back Trump Afraid to Show Their Faces

By Melkorka Licea. NYU’s pro-Trump students fear for their safety — and grades.

They may be flooding caucus rooms across the country, but Donald Trump supporters at NYU keep their heads down, mouths shut and their correspondence secret.

Lying in class about their political beliefs and keeping online conversations strictly private are typical precautions taken by The Donald’s badly outnumbered followers on campus.

“Supporters generally try to keep it hidden from the rest of the student body,” said junior Dylan Perera, 22. “They’re afraid of losing friends, being ridiculed in class, getting worse grades and are even afraid of being assaulted and physically hurt.”

The computer-science major from LA said he was verbally accosted by a student who had asked about his affiliation. (Read more from “NYU Students Who Back Trump Afraid to Show Their Faces” HERE)

Near Slaughter in Dallas as Armed Anti-Islam Protesters Clash With Armed Black Panthers Outside TX Mosque

Racial tensions erupted during an armed demonstration outside a Nation of Islam mosque in Dallas on Saturday.

Anti-radicalization protesters from the Bureau of American Islamic Relations turned up with semi-automatic rifles and clad in skeleton masks as they confronted members of the New Black Panther Party.

Hundreds of black activists meant the group was outnumbered as they lined up behind barricades on Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard . . .

In a Facebook post about the counter-protest, one of the organizers wrote: ‘We have decided to Protest the Nation of Islam for promoting violence against Americans openly and publicly. This is NOT about color of skin, not a white vs black thing, (not for us anyway).

‘This is about RADICAL ISLAM. They have threatened to continue killing Cops, Random White People and their children to further their agenda of hate and dominance through violence. 120 Major Business Leaders Team up With Gay Lobby to Pressure North Carolina

In a situation reminiscent of last year’s religious freedom fight in Indiana, and the more recent one last week in Georgia, powerful politicians and CEOs across America are teaming up with the LGBT lobby to pressure North Carolina to overturn its new law protecting privacy in restrooms and similar facilities.

Inside the state, North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory has refused to back down on his signature of the measure, despite pressure from Democratic Attorney General Roy Cooper, who is running a campaign against McCrory.

The Republican governor signed the law last week after a statewide outcry against a Charlotte ordinance requiring all businesses and public buildings to allow citizens identifying as transgender to use their preferred bathrooms, locker rooms, and similar facilities.

The bill overrode the Charlotte ordinance, but included exemptions that allow public entities to make their own internal hiring policies, and allows transgendered individuals who have legally changed their gender on their birth certificates to use restrooms and other facilities of the opposite sex.

Calling the law “a national embarrassment,” Cooper has said he will not defend it, and on Tuesday he declared that “this new law provides for broad-based discrimination” and that “the LGBT community is targeted.” He also said the law conflicts with the employment policies of the Attorney General’s office, and thus “in order to protect our non-discrimination policy and employees, along with those of our client, the State Treasurer’s Office, part of our argument will be that HB2 is unconstitutional.” (Read more from “120 Major Business Leaders Team up With Gay Lobby to Pressure North Carolina” HERE)

Trump Just Revealed That His Wife Is About to Do Something BIG Many People Probably Didn’t Expect

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s “best asset” is joining his campaign Monday as Trump pulls out all the stops to win a high-stakes GOP primary on Tuesday.

Trump announced Saturday that his wife, Melania, will be joining him in Wisconsin on Monday. At least one commentator thinks she may have what his campaign needs.

“She’s going to campaign. She’s never done this before,” Trump said Saturday during a rally at Racine, Wis. “So that will be exciting, Melania is coming up.”

Melania Trump has remained in the background of the campaign. To date, the only time she received much attention came when a racy modeling photo that appeared on the cover of GQ in 2000 was used in an anti-Trump ad in Utah, sparking Trump to lash out at Republican rival, Sen. Ted Cruz, and Cruz’s wife, Heidi.

Despite Melania Trump’s low profile to date, one commentator thinks she will help Trump.

“Melania Trump could be a persuasive messenger in the campaign, especially among political independents. In fact, she could be more effective … than Trump himself,” wrote Lauren Wright for The Washington Post. Federal Judge Refuses to Allow Nationally-Known, Conservative Lawyer to Defend Cliven Bundy

Nevada’s chief federal judge has refused to let nationally known conservative lawyer Larry Klayman join Cliven Bundy’s defense team.

In a three-page order, Gloria Navarro questioned Klayman’s candidness with her about the outcome of professional disciplinary proceedings against him in Washington, D.C. . .

Klayman, the founder of the Washington-based public interest groups Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch, is known for his tenacious pursuit of litigation, mostly in support of a wide range of conservative and libertarian issues. . .

Last week, Klayman told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the Bundy family had asked for his legal help. Bundy, 69, who is in federal custody, is facing criminal charges stemming from the April 12, 2014, armed standoff with law enforcement near his ranch in Bunkerville.

Bundy is now represented by Las Vegas attorney Joel Hansen, who is active in the ultraconservative Independent American Party of Nevada. (Read more from “Federal Judge Refuses to Allow Nationally-Known, Conservative Lawyer to Defend Cliven Bundy” HERE)

Hillary Clinton Admits an Unborn Child Is a Person… He Just Doesn’t Get Constitutional Rights

Democratic primary front-runner Hillary Clinton ran afoul of both the pro-life and pro-choice sides of the abortion debate Sunday when she said constitutional rights do not apply to an “unborn person” or “child.”

“The unborn person doesn’t have constitutional rights,” Mrs. Clinton said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “Now that doesn’t mean that we don’t do everything we possibly can in the vast majority of instances to, you know, help a mother who is carrying a child and wants to make sure that child will be healthy, to have appropriate medical support” . . .

Diana Arellano, manager of community engagement for Planned Parenthood Illinois Action, said Sunday that Mrs. Clinton’s comments undermined the cause for abortion rights.

The comment “further stigmatizes #abortion,” Ms. Arellano said in a tweet. “She calls a fetus an ‘unborn child’ & calls for later term restrictions.”

Describing the fetus as a “person” or “child” has long been anathema to the pro-choice movement, which argues the terms misleadingly imply a sense of humanity. (Read more from “Hillary Clinton Admits an Unborn Child Is a Person… They Just Don’t Get Constitutional Rights” HERE)
