Media Should Investigate Federal Waste Instead Of The People Uncovering It

The avalanche of wasteful spending uncovered by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is a mere hint of deeper secrets lurking within funky federal funding. Even a cub reporter knows the juiciest news is uncovered when you follow the money, but that is not where the legacy media are looking.

DOGE is highlighting spending information that is ripe for investigative reporting. A lot of this information has been readily available on the government spending website USAspending.gov, which was spurred to life in 2006 in part through the efforts of Federalist CEO and Co-Founder Sean Davis.

The corporate media have had years to tell the public the extent of government glut, but why would they when they were on the take themselves, enjoying fat government handouts? As Federalist writer Logan Washburn recently reported, the federal government has paid Politico $34.3 million since 2015; Reuters, $10.6 million since 2020; The New York Times, $2.7 million since 2008; and $1.7 million to The Washington Post since 2014.

It is a conflict of interest for the media to receive money from the same government it is ostensibly covering. It’s hard to imagine a heavy-hitting investigation challenging spending such as “$8 million to teach Sri Lankan journalists how to avoid ‘binary gendered language,’” as Federalist writer Tristan Justice recently reported. Ukrainian Military Selling ‘Up to Half’ of US Arms It Receives, With CIA Profiting off It, Tucker Carlson Claims

Tucker Carlson said he knows for a fact the Ukrainian military is selling upwards of half of the armaments it receives from the United States.

Carlson made several big claims during an episode of “The Tucker Carlson Show,” including that the CIA is profiting off the sale of arms that are meant to go to Ukraine.

Carlson was speaking with Lt. Col. Daniel Davis, a retired United States Army officer who was awarded a Bronze Star, his second, during the war in Afghanistan. About halfway through their conversation, Carlson stated that Ukraine has been selling U.S. weapons to Mexican cartels.

The host said it was a “fact,” not a “guess,” that the “Ukrainian military is selling a huge percentage, up to half, of the arms” the United States sends it. . .

“They’re selling it, and a lot of it winds up with the drug cartels on our border,” Carlson went on. “So this is a crime, what’s happening. Our intel agencies are fully aware of this. You tell me they’re not profiting from this? Of course, you think [the] CIA is not profiting from this? Yes, they are. I can’t prove that, but I believe that. What, they don’t know this? I know this, but they don’t know this? They know this. And no one is saying it.”

Hamas Makes an Announcement About the Freedom of Future Hostages (VIDEO)

Iranian backed terrorist organization Hamas announced Monday it will not comply with the next stage of a previously negotiated hostage deal, falsely claiming “Israeli violations” as the reason for the decision. The deal Hamas agreed to requires the release of three more hostages this week, which now isn’t happening.

The move comes less than 24 hours after President Donald Trump said he was “losing patience” with the terrorist group and that the condition of hostages Eli Sharabi, Ohad Ben Ami and Or Levy, who were released Saturday, was unacceptable.

WATCH: Rowdy Eagles Fans Clash With Police, Destroy Property as Super Bowl Chaos Descends on Philly

Thousands of Eagles fans spilled out of bars and onto the streets of Philadelphia Sunday night after watching their team defeat the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX.

The city had opted not to grease the light poles even though a fan died two weeks ago after falling from a light pole after the NFC Championship Game. Despite that tragedy, Eagles fans showed no hesitation in climbing to the top of light poles, cars, construction vehicles, garbage trucks, small buildings, and almost anything else they could find.

Some fans clashed with and taunted police as officers attempted to keep the crowd confined to certain areas and under control.

Trump’s DOJ to Toss Eric Adams’ Historic Bribery Case, Agrees With Dem That Charges Were Politically Motivated by Biden Admin

The Justice Department ordered Manhattan prosecutors Monday to dismiss the historic bribery case against Mayor Eric Adams — siding with Hizzoner that the charges under the Biden administration were politically motivated and hampered his ability to combat the migrant crisis in New York City, The Post has confirmed.

The new DOJ under President Donald Trump instructed the Southern District of New York to dismiss the case without prejudice, meaning charges could be re-filed in the future, sources said.

“You are directed, as authorized by the Attorney General, to dismiss the pending charges” against Adams, Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove wrote in a letter obtained by The Post.

The letter notes “independent reasons” as to why Adams’ case was being tossed — including that the case was retribution for him speaking out against the Biden administration for its handling of the migrant crisis.

“It cannot be ignored that Mayor Adams criticized the prior Administration’s immigration policies before the charges were filed, and the former US Attorney’s public actions created appearances of impropriety…” (Read more from “Trump’s DOJ to Toss Eric Adams’ Historic Bribery Case, Agrees With Dem That Charges Were Politically Motivated by Biden Admin” HERE)

FBI Unearths 2,400 More JFK Assassination Files After Trump’s Order

The FBI has uncovered 2,400 new records about President John F. Kennedy’s assassination following President Trump’s order to release the secret files, according to reports.

Those documents contain about 14,000 pages worth of material that a disclosure board was supposed to review but never saw, Axios reported Monday.

The White House learned about the never-before-reviewed documents on Friday as the Office of the Director of National Intelligence presented its plan to disclose the remaining documents.

“This is huge. It shows the FBI is taking this seriously,” said Jefferson Morley, the vice president of the Mary Ferrell Foundation, which has the largest online record of JFK assassination records.

“The FBI is finally saying, ‘Let’s respond to the president’s order,’ instead of keeping the secrecy going,” he added. (Read more from “FBI Unearths 2,400 More JFK Assassination Files After Trump’s Order” HERE)

Trump Wasn’t Joking: Some IRS Workers To Help With Deportation, Report Says

There was apparently some truth to President Donald Trump’s quip last month about sending Internal Revenue Service (IRS) workers to the southern U.S. border to help with deportation efforts.

Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has asked Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to deputize some law-enforcement workers, including criminal investigators from the IRS, to help with immigration efforts, according to documents obtained by the Wall Street Journal.

IRS criminal investigators often carry firearms and can make arrests. They currently investigate tax return preparer fraud, bankruptcy fraud, and identity theft schemes, among other crimes, according to the IRS website.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem asked Bessent to provide agents who would help investigate financial flows involving human-trafficking networks and businesses that employ illegal immigrants in a memo dated February 7, the Journal reported. The agents could help arrest, detain, and transport criminal illegals. (Read more from “Trump Wasn’t Joking: Some IRS Workers To Help With Deportation, Report Says” HERE)

Trump Gives Surprising Answer When Asked About JD Vance Being His Successor in 2028

President Trump has said it’s too early to know if he will anoint Vice President JD Vance as his would-be successor ahead of the 2028 election.

Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier asked Trump, 78, in an interview taped ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl: “Do you view Vice President JD Vanceas your successor, the Republican nominee in 2028?”

“No, but he’s very capable,” Trump replied.

“I think you have a lot of very capable people,” the president added. “So far I think he’s doing a fantastic job. It’s too early. We’re just starting.”

“By the time we get to get to the midterms,” Baier interjected, “[Vance] is going to be looking for an endorsement.” (Read more from “Trump Gives Surprising Answer When Asked About JD Vance Being His Successor in 2028” HERE)

Left-Wing Pastor Thinks ‘Violence’ Is Justified Against Elon Musk For Having Audacity To Cut Wasteful Gov’t Spending

Steve Caudle, the far-left pastor of the Greater Second Missionary Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee, argued on Sunday that violence is justified against Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk for cutting wasteful government spending.

Caudle suggested that Musk had acted “so ugly” that Americans have “no other choice” than to incite violence to retaliate against the DOGE head’s dismantlement of the U.S. Agency of International Development (USAID), an agency that handed $2 million to Guatemala in order to fund sex change operations and sent over 60 million condoms overseas.

“I’m worried we’re on the verge of bloodshed,” Caudle said. “This is an attempt to take us back to a day where we don’t want to go and will not go. Therefore there will be conflict, I pray that the peace of God will win out and overcome the madness that is attempting to take over this nation. And I will say to you beloved that no one likes violence, but sometimes violence is necessary. When Elon Musk forces his way into the United States Treasury and threatens to steal your personal information and your Social Security check, there is a possibility of violence. Sometimes the devil will act so ugly, that you have no other choice but to get violent and fight. Well someone say ‘well Reverend, you shouldn’t be talking about violence. This is the Christian thing to do.’ Well I will say, why not talk this way because Jesus did?”
