Mark Zuckerberg Meets With Trump in Fla., Parks Private Jet Next to President-Elect’s Plane

Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg parked his private jet right next to Trump Force One Friday during a visit to Palm Beach, Fla., to meet with the incoming 47th president.

Zuckerberg, 40, was dressed up in a fitted suit and tie when he was spotted boarding his Gulfstream G650 jet at Palm Beach International Airport.

The tech titan’s jet was parked in the shadows of President-elect Donald Trump’s much larger, custom Boeing 757 aircraft, which he’ll trade in for Air Force One in less than two weeks.

Earlier in the day, the billionaire Facebook founder met with Trump at his nearby Mar-a-Lago estate, a source told The Post.

It’s at least the second time Zuckerberg has convened with Trump, 78, at Mar-a-Lago since the president-elect’s landslide victory in the 2024 presidential election. (Read more from “Mark Zuckerberg Meets With Trump in Fla., Parks Private Jet Next to President-Elect’s Plane” HERE)

Owner of ‘Miracle’ Malibu Mansion Reveals Why He Thinks House Survived Raging Fire

The owner of a nearly $9 million Malibu mansion miraculously spared being leveled by the raging Los Angeles wildfires told The Post on Friday he was stunned to learn that when the smoke cleared, it was still standing.

“It’s a miracle — miracles never cease,” said retired waste-management exec and married dad of three David Steiner, 64, of Texas.

Steiner said he thought his stunning three-story California structure — which was vacant at the time — was a goner when a local contractor sent him video of flames and smoke engulfing his property and his neighbors’ Tuesday. . .

Steiner, a lawyer and former head of Waste Management, Inc., in Houston, said he believes that his property’s ultra-sturdy construction — likely designed to protect it from earthquakes — saved it from the Palisades Fire that destroyed the homes all around it.

“It’s stucco and stone with a fireproof roof,’’ he said, adding that it also includes pilings “like 50 feet into the bedrock’’ to keep it steady when powerful waves crash into the seawall below it. Plane Scooping Water From Ocean to Fight Wildfires Grounded After Hitting Drone Illegally Flying Over Pacific Palisades

A drone that was being illegally flown damaged and grounded a Super Scooper plane that was leased to help fight the damaging wildfires in Los Angeles.

Officials said the drone collided with the plane and left a fist-sized hole in its wing, which needed repair. Drones are not allowed to fly during firefighting efforts, and the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.

Two Super Scoopers were leased from Canada to help fight the tremendously damaging wildfires in Pacific Palisades and elsewhere in Southern California.

As of Friday morning, the Palisades wildfire had burned through more than 20,000 acres and destroyed more than 5,000 homes and businesses. Only 8% of the fire has been contained, but winds are dying down. . .

Persons convicted of flying a drone during firefighting can face a prison sentence of up to one year. The FAA said that anyone who interferes with firefighting efforts can also be fined up to $75,000. While California Burns, Gavin Newsom Begs Biden to Silence ‘Disinformation’

Wildfires, fueled by strong winds, are destroying Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom is begging President Joe Biden to silence “hurricane-force winds of mis- and disinformation.”

“It breaks my heart as people are suffering and struggling that we’re up against those hurricane force, forces as well,” Newsom said on Friday in a video call with Biden. “I ask you, we’ve got to deal with this misinformation.”

Never mind the actual winds that swept wildfires from the perimeter of Los Angeles to destroy suburban neighborhoods. Still, Newsom expressed concern that “misinformation” could harm Californians.

“It infects real people that are out there,” Newsom told the president. “And they’re having conversations that are not the typical conversations you’d have at this time.”

Newsom apparently finds it unusual that people would discuss the possibility that government actions may have contributed to the spread of the wildfire when flames are engulfing their homes and livelihoods. Teacher’s Aide Accused of Raping Mentally Disabled Teen Boy. Victim’s Mother Allegedly Caught 45-Year-Old Suspect in the Act.

A teacher’s aide in Ohio is accused of raping a 15-year-old with disabilities, according to authorities. The boy’s mother allegedly busted the suspect after finding the pair together at her home.

On Tuesday, 45-year-old Christin Coble of Scott Township was arrested and booked into the Sandusky County Jail. Coble was charged with rape. Her bail was set at $100,000. . .

Coble is a paraprofessional — similar to a teacher’s aide — at the Woodmore Local School District. The mother said Coble had worked with her son at his school — and that he has the mental capacity of a 9-year-old.

Following her arrest, the district superintendent told WTVG-TV that Coble had been placed on unpaid administrative leave.

“While the district cannot comment on an ongoing investigation or the personally identifiable information of students, the district’s primary concern is always the safety and well-being of its students,” Superintendent Mary Schaeffer said in a statement released Tuesday. Donald Trump Sentenced in ‘Hush Money’ Case

President-elect Donald Trump has been sentenced in the “hush money” case in which he was convicted for falsifying business records. . .

Judge Juan Merchan sentenced him to an unconditional discharge, which means the president-elect will have a conviction on his record, but he will not face jail time or any other punishment.

Merchan told the court that unconditional discharge is “the only lawful sentence, without encroaching upon the highest office in the land.”

He then told the president-elect, “I wish you godspeed as you assume your second term in office.”

The proceedings lasted about 45 minutes as the prosecution and defense gave statements to the court. Merchan repeatedly referred to the president-elect as “Mr. Trump” instead of “President Trump,” which only supports claims that he was biased against the Trump throughout the trial. Here Are All The Ways DEI-Crazed Officials Made The LA Fire More Deadly

As relentless fires burn in Los Angeles, thousands of residents who fled their homes are just learning how poorly public officials prepared for such an event. Emergency response leaders following bad public policy have been too focused on sending firefighting equipment to Ukraine, keeping the homeless safe, protecting fish, and adopting green policies to focus on things like making sure there is enough water to feed fire hydrants and guaranteeing that the strongest, best-trained, most-skilled firefighters are leading operations.

Officials seem to believe that when fire forces you to flee your home, there is just one thing on your mind: the skin color and cultural experience of the firefighters who will bring you to safety. Will they be diverse enough to rescue you? Never mind if they are the best for the job, are they anything but straight white men?

That has been a major priority of the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), which, in 2022, launched its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Bureau (DEI), purportedly “focused on ensuring a safe, diverse and inclusive workplace for all.”

In January 2022, then-Mayor Eric Garcetti checked multiple DEI boxes by appointing Kristin Crowley as fire chief, the first female, LGBT chief in Los Angeles. That year, according to LAFD data, “of the more than 6,500 applicants to LAFD, 70% were people of color and nearly 8% … were female,” which was “double the … percentage of female firefighters within the Department” at the time.

The LAFD Girls Camp is one avenue for recruitment for female firefighters, hosting girls between 14 and 18 to explore career opportunities in the department.

Lip Reader Reveals What Trump and Obama Discussed at Jimmy Carter’s Funeral

Former President Barack Obama and President-elect Donald Trump had what appeared to be a warm conversation Thursday ahead of former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral, but a professional lip reader told The Post their smiles and laughter belied more serious substance.

Trump, 78, possibly wary of cameras facing the pair as they sat shoulder to shoulder, cautioned Obama, 63, that they would have to “find a quiet place” later in the day to discuss a “matter of importance,” according to forensic lip reader Jeremy Freeman.

It’s unclear what precisely that conversation would entail, but Freeman’s translation indicated that Obama and Trump may have been discussing international agreements.

At one point, Trump leaned toward Obama and said, “I’ve pulled out of that. It’s the conditions. Can you imagine that?” . . .

Obama laughed as Trump added, “and after, I will,” before the pooled TV camera feed cut away from the men, who were bracketed by former first lady Laura Bush and Trump’s wife Melania. (Read more from “Lip Reader Reveals What Trump and Obama Discussed at Jimmy Carter’s Funeral” HERE)

Mayor Knew of Fire Risk Before Abandoning L.A. For Ghana Trip

We have multiple reports Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass knew of the grave fire risk to her city before she abandoned it for a taxpayer-funded “diplomatic” trip to Ghana in Western Africa.

Here’s the timeline of what we know so far courtesy of Lee Fang’s Substack page:

Thursday, January 2: The “National Weather Service explicitly warned Los Angeles about “extreme fire conditions” over the next week.

Thursday, January 2: “Jonathan O’Brien, a meteorologist with the U.S. Forest Service, spoke to officials and posted openly about the incoming threat.”

Thursday, January 2: “O’Brien noted that weather models for Southern California showed a ‘strong-extreme Santa Ana wind event starting Tuesday 1/7.’”

China Hacked Phones and Wants Nuclear First Strike Capability Against U.S.: Ex-Trump Aide

A former senior aide to Donald Trump claimed China had tapped the president-elect’s phone, stolen “extraordinary” amounts of data and is preparing for a first-strike nuclear capability against the United States.

H.R. McMaster, Trump’s national security adviser from 2017 to 2018, told a think tank event in Washington on Wednesday that the US has to impose “very significant costs” on China for its “massive cyber intrusions”.

“They listen to President Trump’s phone and everybody around him for six months, right? They’ve stolen extraordinary amounts of data which we found on our telecom networks,” he told the event organised by the Council on Foreign Relations.
