Yes, This Is a Financial Crisis – 11 TRILLION Dollars in Stock Market Wealth Was Wiped out in the 3rd Quarter

Did you know that 11 trillion dollars in global stock market wealth was wiped out during the third quarter of 2015? When I was emailed this figure by a friend, I was stunned for a moment. I knew that things were bad, but were they really this bad? When I first received this information, I had just finished a taping for a television show in which I had boldly declared that 5 trillion dollars of stock market wealth had been wiped out around the world. Unfortunately, the final number has turned out to be much larger than that. Over the past three months, the stock markets of all major global economies have been crashing simultaneously, and 11 trillion dollars of “paper wealth” has now completely vanished. The following comes from Fortune…

Global equity markets suffered a bruising third quarter, shedding $11 trillion worth of global shares over three months, according to Bloomberg.

It was the market’s worst quarter since 2011. The prolonged slump was due to low prices for commodities such as oil, instability in China’s markets, and the anticipation that the U.S. Federal Reserve will soon raise interest rates.

In light of this number, how in the world is it possible that there is still anyone out there that is claiming that “nothing happened” over the past few months?

In China, they sure aren’t claiming that “nothing happened”. Chinese stocks are down about 40 percent from the peak of the market.

In Germany, they sure aren’t claiming that “nothing happened”. As of a few days ago a quarter of all German stock market wealth had been wiped out since the peak earlier this year.

Yes, things have been a bit milder in the United States. So far, stocks are only down about 10 percent or so, but we did see some truly remarkable things happen over the past three months. We witnessed the 8th largest single day stock market crash on a point basis in U.S. history, we witnessed the 10th largest single day stock market crash in U.S. history, and we witnessed the single greatest intraday stock market crash in all of U.S. history. On August 24th the Dow plunged 1,089 points before bouncing back.

But every time the markets have an up day there are all these people running around declaring that “the crash is over”. Well, that is not how financial markets work. They “stair-step” on the way up and they do the same thing on the way down.

And without a doubt, U.S. stocks still have a long, long way to go down.

In recent years, stocks have soared to unbelievably unrealistic levels. One of the most popular methods of measuring the true value of stocks is something called the cyclically-adjusted price to earnings ratio. It was developed by economist Robert Shiller of Yale University, and it attempts to accurately show how much we are paying for stocks in relation to how much those corporations are actually earning. When this number is very high, stocks are overvalued, and when this number is very low stocks are undervalued.

Earlier this year, CAPE hit a peak of about 27, and by the beginning of August it was still sitting up around 26. The only times CAPE has been higher has been just before other stock market bubbles have been burst…

It would take a total drop of about 40 percent from the peak of the market just to get back to average. So far the Dow has fallen about 10 percent or so, so it is going to take another 30 percent crash just to get to a point where stock prices are considered “normal” once again.

Another very common measurement of stock values shows the exact same thing. The ratio of corporate equities to GDP is also known as “the Buffett Indicator” because Warren Buffett loves it so much. When stock prices get very high in relation to the size of the overall economy that is a sign that stocks are overvalued, and when stock prices get very low in relation to the size of the overall economy that is a sign that stocks are undervalued.

The chart below was recently posted by dshort.com and it shows that stock prices would have to fall more than 40 percent just to get back to the historical average (the mean).

Right now, lots of Americans are rushing to get back into the stock market because “September is over” and they figure that stocks are a good value now since they have gone down a good bit.

But as you can clearly see from the charts that I have just shared, U.S. stocks are still a terrible value.

Even if we don’t experience a “black swan event” like a major natural disaster, a large scale terror attack or the collapse of a globally important financial institution in the months ahead, it is inevitable that stocks will go down a lot more at some point. Stocks simply cannot defy gravity forever. These bubbles have always ended in crashes in the past, and the same thing is going to happen again this time.

People that are trying to tell you that “things are different this time” simply refuse to learn from history.

I am writing this piece while waiting for a plane at Denver International Airport. I missed my connection because my first flight was delayed by about an hour. So I am just sitting here watching people walk past. Most of them are just living their lives without any idea of the disaster that is about to hit this country.

Over the past few days I have been reflecting on the fact that our nation has willingly chosen this path. We willingly chose to go into so much debt. We willingly chose to send millions of good paying jobs overseas. We willingly chose to pump up these financial bubbles. We willingly chose to reject the values of our forefathers. We willingly chose men like Barack Obama, Harry Reid and John Boehner to represent us in Washington.

The things that are coming are the logical consequences for decisions that we have collectively made as a nation.

There are still many out there that do not believe that we will have to face any consequences for what we have done.

Unfortunately for all of us, they are not going to have to wait very long at all to see how incredibly wrong they were. (For more from the author of “Yes, This Is a Financial Crisis – 11 TRILLION Dollars in Stock Market Wealth Was Wiped out in the 3rd Quarter” please click HERE)

College in Colorado Denies Donor Request to Include Bible Verse on Plaque

The Colorado School of Mines sought to boost fundraising by offering donors a nameplate with an inscription of their choice, only to reject one donor’s message because it included references to two Bible verses.

The Alliance Defending Freedom announced in a press release Thursday that it has filed a federal lawsuit against the school alleging that its refusal to accept the request was a violation of the donor’s constitutional rights.

As part of a fundraising campaign for the Clear Creek Athletics Complex, CSM offered “naming opportunities” entailing a personalized nameplate on lockers in the facility’s football locker room, upon which donors could place a message or quote up to three lines long.

Michael Lucas, a 2003 CSM graduate who once played for the school’s football team, decided to take the school up on its offer, donating $2,500 and requesting that his quote include references to two Bible verses: Colossians 3:23 and Micah 5:9.

The Colossians verse reads: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” The Micah verse states: “Your hand will be lifted up against your adversaries, and all your enemies will be cut off.” (Read more from “College in Colorado Denies Donor Request to Include Bible Verse on Plaque” HERE)

Record Exodus: Why People Are Leaving Alaska

More people left Alaska last year than they have in decades, with net migration out of the state at its highest point in the past quarter-century . . .

The departures don’t appear to be caused by the state’s current financial problems because they came before oil prices dropped, Department of Labor economist Neal Fried said. “When those numbers were put together, we thought $100 oil was normal,” Fried said, referring to the per-barrel price . . .

The migration likely has more to do with improving employment opportunities in the Lower 48, Fried said. People historically come to Alaska when the rest of the U.S. is struggling with unemployment, he said. (Read more from “Record Exodus: Why People Are Leaving Alaska” HERE)

Oklahoma Republicans Offer to House 10 Commandments Monument

The interim chairman of the Oklahoma Republican Party thinks the best place for the Ten Commandments monument is on the grounds of the Capitol.

But, now, that a judge has ordered the monument be removed by Oct. 12, Estela Hernandez feels the area outside her office is the second best location . . .

While it’s not a done deal, Hernandez has thrown the GOP name in the hat for the new home of the controversial monument. She said the words of the scripture are directly in line with the principles of the republican party.

“It’s a reminder that we truly are a people with moral laws, with moral values and, when we start to dismiss the notion that God should not be in our schoolhouse and in our government, that’s when we start to lose or start to see a decline of our culture,” she said. “Those [are] principles that define us as Americans, that define us as to what our framers intended our nation to be. They sought out those Christian values, they sought out God’s wisdom. And, I truly believe Oklahomans share in those values” . . .

The American Civil Liberties Union, which led the fight to remove the monument from the Capitol grounds, said it would have no problem with the republicans housing the monument. Since the statue would stand on private property, Legal Director Brady Henderson said the location is perfectly legal. Author: Hillary Has a Long History of Beating up Bill Behind Closed Doors

She’s on a mission to be a softer, warmer, funnier candidate — but according to a new book, the real Hillary Clinton is so volatile and prone to violent outbursts that she terrorizes staff, Secret Service agents and even her own husband.

In “The Clintons’ War On Women” (Skyhorse), out Oct. 13, political strategist Roger Stone details Hillary’s abusive behavior — dating back to the Clintons’ days in Arkansas, where Bill served as governor.

“Hillary Clinton has a long history of being domestically violent with Bill,” Stone writes. “Hillary has beaten Bill, hit him with hard objects, scratched and clawed him, and made him bleed.”

Stone, a controversial figure who recently decamped from Donald Trump’s campaign, also delves into the more fantastical rumors that have dogged the Clintons for years.

Accounts of marital discord, however, have been well-reported for decades. Even Bill Clinton’s former press officer Dee Dee Myers later admitted that she covered for the first lady. (Read more from “Author: Hillary Has a Long History of Beating up Bill Behind Closed Doors” HERE)

EXPOSED: The Billionaire Planned Parenthood Donor Who Wants His Donations Kept Very, Very Secret

Three weeks after I left my job at the clinic, Planned Parenthood took me to court. I am always asked, “Why would they take you to court? Did they have something to hide?” Well, yes. They absolutely had something to hide. They didn’t want me sharing the information in this article. Let’s expose the truth, shall we?

Yes, I do realize that releasing this information puts me in a precarious situation. But it’s always better for the truth to be out…no matter the cost.

It was life changing. I remember the first time we were able to make an appointment with our new funding…it was called “The Justice Fund.” After we had given the woman all of the necessary information about her abortion appointment, we asked her if she wanted to apply for a funding program to help pay for her abortion. She of course said yes. We went through her income and expenses and determined she was eligible for funding. We informed her that she would only have to pay $100 of the $400 cost. The woman began to cry on the phone. So I began to cry. Wow. We were going to change so many lives with this money, this “Justice Fund” . . .

In 2003, there was a big scandal that broke out surrounding the company Pampered Chef. The majority of people selling this kitchenware were stay-at-home moms. Many of them were pro-life women. So imagine their surprise when they found out that the new owner of their company, Warren Buffett, had given millions to the abortion industry, primarily Planned Parenthood. Suddenly, there was a mass exodus from the company. Women were done selling their overpriced spatulas.

So, when Warren Buffett decided that he wanted to start this “Justice Fund” in order to donate $21 million a year to the abortion industry, you better believe that he wanted to remain anonymous. He tried to disguise the donations under the foundation started by him in the name of his wife, Susan Thompson Buffett. But the 990s are for public consumption. Anyone can see where they are spending their money. (Read more from “EXPOSED: The Billionaire Planned Parenthood Donor Who Wants His Donations Kept Very, Very Secret” HERE)

Here’s Why the Army Vet Shot 7 Times Is Being Hailed a Hero in Oregon Massacre

Law enforcement in Oregon are asking people not to focus on the gunman, but the victims and heroes of a college massacre.

One of those heroes is an Army veteran who was shot seven times while running at the gunman . . .

Mintz told his family he was trying to block a door to keep the gunman out when he was shot.

He says he looked up at the gunman and told him it was his son’s birthday, and that’s when the gunman shot him two more times.

His aunt said the gunman shot her nephew three times at the door. After Chris Mintz fell, he told the armed man, “It’s my son’s birthday today. Don’t do this.’” (Read more from “Here’s Why the Army Vet Shot 7 Times Is Being Hailed as a Hero in Oregon Massacre” HERE)

Here’s Who Pope Francis Met With in Addition to Kim Davis

The Vatican confirmed Friday that Pope Francis held an audience with a gay former student and his partner in Washington, where the pontiff also met with Kim Davis.

The new twist in the controversial meeting Sept. 24 with Davis came to light after Vatican spokesman Federico Lombardi released a statement Friday saying the “only real audience granted by the pope” at the Vatican Embassy in Washington “was with one of his former students and his family.”

Yayo Grassi, an openly gay man from Francis’ native Argentina and longtime friend of the pontiff, was that former student, Lombardi confirmed later Friday. Grassi, who has been in a same-sex relationship for 19 years, brought his partner and several friends to the Vatican Embassy in Washington for a brief visit.

Grassi told CNN that Francis has long known he is gay but never condemned his sexuality or relationship. Grassi said he and his partner had previously met with the pope in Rome. “He has never been judgmental,” Grassi told CNN. “He has never said anything negative.”

Lombardi confirmed Grassi had previously met with the pope. “As noted in the past, the pope, as pastor, has maintained many personal relationships with people in a spirit of kindness, welcome and dialogue,” Lombardi said in a statement. Must-Read Open Letter: To the Moms Whose Children Were Killed in Oregon for Being Christians

As reports surfaced that the gunman responsible for this week’s mass shooting in Oregon specifically targeted Christians, one woman felt a specific urge to reach out to the mothers whose children died after proclaiming their faith in Jesus.

Though she wrote in an open letter (see below) to these grieving women that she “won’t pretend” to know how badly they are hurting, For Every Mom Editor Jenny Rapson nonetheless shared a few thoughts as a woman trying to raise three Christian children of her own.

“I have to ask God to feel that for you,” she wrote, “because I know He does. I have to ask him when I pray for you, as I have been doing constantly over the last 20 hours, to wrap you in His arms and to breathe sweet words of comfort in your ears. He knows the pain of a murdered child. He knows the pain, as you do, of a child who was murdered for his faith.”

She went on to marvel at the bravery of the nine students willing to face certain death at the hands of a killer.

“He killed nine of your children, Mamas,” Rapson continued. “Do you know what that means? That means eight of your brave children saw one of their own take a bullet in the head for claiming Christ and they said yes anyway.” (Read more from “Must-Read Open Letter: To the Moms Whose Children Were Killed in Oregon for Being Christians” HERE)

To the Moms Whose Children Were Killed in Oregon for Being Christians

Dear Sweet Mamas,

I know you are hurting today. I won’t pretend I know how badly. I am a mom of three and the thought of not having my kids with me here on this earth scares and pains me and makes me feel short of breath. That that is a reality for you today, I am so, so sorry. I am grieved for you. I have shed tears for you and my heart breaks.

But I don’t feel what you feel. I have to ask God to feel that for you, because I know He does. I have to ask him when I pray for you, as I have been doing constantly over the last 20 hours, to wrap you in His arms and to breathe sweet words of comfort in your ears. He knows the pain of a murdered child. He knows the pain, as you do, of a child who was murdered for his faith.

Yesterday a 26-year-old man whose name I won’t give more fame to walked up to your child and said “Are you a Christian?” and your child said “Yes”.

Then he shot them in the head. He walked up to some other moms’ children and asked the same, and if they said “no” he still wounded them, but he let them live.

He killed nine of your children, Mamas. Do you know what that means? That means eight of your brave children saw one of their own take a bullet in the head for claiming Christ and they said yes anyway.

They said yes anyway. They said yes anyway. They said yes anyway.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. (Read more from this open letter to the mom’s of those killed in Oregon HERE)
