By Derek Hunter. Showing exasperation with the media coverage of his campaign and the media investigation of his biography, GOP presidential hopeful Ben Carson turned the tables on reporters, saying, “I do not remember this level of scrutiny for one President Barack Obama.”

After several minutes of questions regarding whether or not he had received an offer for a scholarship to West Point or was simply told he could get a scholarship to West Point, Carson had had enough.

“I do not remember this level of scrutiny for one President Barack Obama when he was running,” Carson said. “In fact, I remember just the opposite. I remember people just ‘well, well, we won’t really talk about that. We won’t talk about that relationship. Well Frank Marshall Davis, well we don’t want to talk about that. Bernardine Dohrn, Bill Ayers, well, he didn’t really know him. All the things Jeremiah Wright was saying, well not a big problem.’ Goes to Occidental College, doesn’t do all that well and somehow ends up at Columbia University. His records are sealed. Why are his records sealed? Why are you guys not interested in why his records are sealed?”

Questions Over Ben Carson’s West Point Story Raised

By BBC News. Republican Ben Carson has admitted that he never applied to join the US military academy at West Point, despite implications in his book that he had.

The presidential hopeful wrote in his 1996 autobiography, Gifted Hands, that he had been offered a full scholarship by the prestigious school.

But the academy said it had no record of an application from Mr Carson.

His team has denied that he lied about West Point, saying the academy effectively offered him a place.

Problems With Politio’s Hit Piece on Carson

By Mollie Hemingway. Politico‘s Kyle Cheney admitted that he fabricated a negative story about Ben Carson. At least, according to his own standards, he admitted the grievous journalistic sin.

In a story published early on Friday, Politico’s Kyle Cheney authored a piece headlined “Ben Carson admits fabricating West Point scholarship” with a subhead “Carson’s campaign on Friday conceded that a central point in his inspirational personal story did not occur as he previously described.”

There were at least five major problems with the story:

•The headline was completely false

•The subhead was also completely false

•The opening paragraph was false false false

•The substance of the piece was missing key exonerating information

•The article demonstrated confusion about service academy admissions and benefits

But other than that, A+++ work, Kyle Cheney and Politico.

Man Claimed to Be Transgender so He Could Assault Women at Homeless Shelter

A biological man claiming to be ‘transgender’ so as to gain access to and prey on women at two Toronto shelters was jailed “indefinitely” last week after being declared by a judge a “dangerous offender.”

Pro-family leaders are pointing out that this is exactly the type of incident they warned of as the Ontario government passed its “gender identity” bill, dubbed the “bathroom bill,” in 2012.

Christopher Hambrook, 37, leaned on the ever expanding legal “rights” offered to people who “identify” with the sex opposite their biology. Under the name “Jessica,” he was able to get into the women’s shelters, where he sexually assaulted several women in 2012, the Toronto Sun reports.

Court heard how one woman awoke to find Hambrook assaulting her on her bed. “Her tights had been pulled down past her bottom and her bathing suit had been pulled to the side,” court documents reveal. “She yelled at the accused, demanding to know what he was doing. He simply covered his face with his hands, said ‘Oops!’ and started giggling.”

Court also heard evidence of Hambrook terrorizing a deaf woman living in the shelter. “The accused grabbed the complainant’s hand and forcibly placed it on his crotch area while his penis was erect,” court heard. Illegal Aliens Release ‘Bill of Rights’

An immigrant-rights group proposed a “Bill of Rights” for illegal immigrants Thursday, demanding that Americans recognize there are millions already in the country who deserve health care, in-state tuition rates for college and a guarantee of citizenship in the long term.

The list of demands runs 10 items long — the same as the U.S. Constitution’s Bill of Rights — and also calls for an end to arrests and deportations for “all law-abiding undocumented Americans.”

The document was circulated by United We Stay, which is a group of illegal immigrants, first generation Americans and human rights activists pushing for changes to immigration law.

We know we have human rights, even though our very presence is deemed illegal and our existence alien. Now we have our own Bill of Rights and we want it to be the framework for every immigration decision going forward from the local to the national level,” the group said in a statement announcing their demands.

The 10 points include a demand that they be accorded respect; calls for citizenship rights and an immediate deferment of deportations; in-state tuition at public colleges; “wage equality”; medical care; and protection against deportation if illegal immigrants report a crime as a witness. Putin Associate Found Dead in DC Hotel

A prominent Russian millionaire with high-level ties to the Kremlin has been found dead inside a Washington hotel, a Russian official and a senior U.S. official told ABC News.

Mikhail Lesin, the former head of media affairs for the Russian government who’s been accused of curtailing the country’s press freedoms, had been staying at Hotel Dupont when he was found Thursday, according to officials.

It’s unclear why the long-time adviser to Russian President Vladimir Putin was in Washington, but the Metropolitan Police Department is now investigating his death. On Thursday, U.S. authorities notified the Russian embassy in Washington that one of its citizens had died, and Russian officials are now working with American authorities to determine the circumstances of the death, the embassy told ABC News in a statement. The Truth Behind the Numbers: Foreign-Born Jobs up, American-Born Jobs Unchanged

The Obama administration is gleefully trumpeting the news out today that 271,000 new jobs were created in October and the unemployment rate is relatively low – ticking down to 5%. The problem? All of the decline in joblessness can be attributed to an increase in employment among foreign-born workers relative to their share of the population. In fact, among American-born workers the number of unemployed increased.

As you can see from the first table, the number of foreign-born unemployed in this country decreased by 57,000 – from 1.204 million to 1.147 million.

Meanwhile, the number of unemployed native-born Americans increased by 27,000.

This is why the unemployment rate among native-born Americans remained unchanged in October while the rate among foreign-born workers declined from 4.6% to 4.4%.

Remember, although the foreign-born population is close to an all-time high, immigrants still represents only 13.5% of the population. Relative to the population growth, almost all of the net increase in new jobs over the past decade has benefited immigrants.

You might argue that this represents good news, at least for immigrant families. We certainly want nothing more than upward mobility for immigrants. But according to Pew, their poverty rate is at an all-time high.

In 1970, the poverty rate among immigrants stood at 18%, only slightly higher than the 14% of the native-born population. Now the poverty rate among immigrants has grown to 28% compared to 15% among Native Americans. Concurrently, 87% of illegal immigrant families and 72% of legal immigrant families are on welfare.

Increased poverty and welfare usage among immigrants, yet increased employment? What gives?

This dichotomy is a clear illustration that the influx of low skilled workers, largely from the third world, is doing nothing to grow the economy and create upward mobility for immigrants and natives alike. It is an open borders scam to reduce wages and employ record numbers of immigrants at wages oriented towards the third world instead of the standard of living Americans are used to. Ultimately, the taxpayers have to foot the bill for the lower wages championed by the business community.

Ben Carson Backs TPP Deal

Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson said Friday that he supports the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement negotiated by the White House – aligning himself more with the GOP’s establishment wing than with the social conservatives who have powered his campaign.

Mr. Carson’s backing of the 12-nation Pacific trade deal places him at odds with Donald Trump, his chief rival for support among anti-establishment Republicans. Mr. Carson had expressed skepticism about the TPP, saying in a June interview with the Huffington Post that he would not give President Barack Obama “fast-track” authority to negotiate the deal.

Now, a day after the White House posted the text of the TPP deal online, Mr. Carson’s campaign said Friday that he supports the final product.

Mr. Carson, spokesman Doug Watts said, “believes the agreement does help to level the playing field in key markets and is important to improve our ties to trading partners in Asia as a counterbalance to China’s influence in the region.” Mr. Watts said Mr. Carson is “now inclined to support TPP, with reservations.”

Mr. Carson’s new support for the trade deal comes as the Republican Party’s decades-long support for free trade is splintering. Mr. Trump is leading a wing of anti-trade candidates that includes social conservatives Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, who had backed the “fast-track” legislation aimed at expediting TPP approval, backed away from the bill because he said Republicans couldn’t trust Mr. Obama and said approving the deal would open American companies to increased foreign competition and boost illegal immigration. Campus Stabber’s Manifesto Included ‘Praise for Allah,’ Plan for Beheading

A handwritten manifesto carried by a California college student whose stabbing spree Wednesday left four wounded bore names of his targets, a vow “to cut someone’s head off” and as many as five reminders to “praise Allah,” law enforcement authorities told FoxNews.com, while insisting that neither terrorism nor religion appear to be motives in the attack.

In the two-page document found in Faisal Mohammad’s pocket by the county coroner, the 18-year-old freshman wrote a numeric list outlining his plans of who he wanted to kill, and how, including beheading and shooting his victims, Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke told FoxNews.com.

“No. 27 was to ‘make sure people are tied down,’ No. 28 was “sit down and praise Allah,’” Warnke said. “I remember seeing four or five times, scribbled on the side of the two-page manifesto, where he wrote something like ‘praise Allah.’” . . .

Mohammad’s intended bloodbath began around 8 a.m.,when he burst into his classroom with an 8-inch hunting knife. Police said it would have continued – and possibly claimed lives – if he hadn’t been interrupted by a construction team, and then shot dead by police.

“There was a gruesome statement he made about wanting to cut someone’s head off and kill two people with one bullet, and he planned to shoot the police,” Warnke said. “He did not have a firearm with him and didn’t seem to have a lot of experience with firearms because he thought he could kill two people with one bullet. He reminded himself in the list to raise the gun slowly. 2 Louisiana Officers Arrested in 6-Year-Old Boy’s Shooting Death

Louisiana police arrested two officers for their involvement in the shooting death of a 6-year-old autistic boy, the head of the state police announced Friday.

The boy was killed and his father was wounded when marshals opened fire on their vehicle in Marksville Tuesday night. Col. Mike Edmonson gave few details about the shooting at a press conference on Friday, but made his disgust clear . . .

The boy was shot and killed and his father, Chris Few, was wounded when officers opened fire on their vehicle as Few was fleeing . . .

State police have been investigating the Tuesday night shooting that raised questions almost from the start. Edmonson said earlier that no weapon was found in the vehicle.

It’s still unclear what triggered the shooting and what led police to pursue Few. The Avoyelles Parish coroner said earlier this week that officers were serving a warrant on Few when he fled. China Deploys Radars, Drones on Borders to Curb Infiltration

China has deployed advanced radars and drones in its border areas under an integrated round-the-clock frontier monitoring system to check infiltration and drug trafficking on the Indian border in Tibet as well as in Xinjiang and Yunnan regions.

“Our system has been adopted by border defence units in Xinjiang, Tibet, Yunnan and many other regions to curb illegal border crossings and drug trafficking,” Ma was quoted as saying by state-run China Daily . . .

People trying to cross the border will be detected by the system, which then automatically notifies soldiers, he said, adding that the system can also be used in coastal policing if it is equipped with sea-scanning radar.

New Kind of ‘Designer’ Immune Cells Clear Baby’s Leukemia

A baby whom doctors thought almost certain to die has been cleared of a previously incurable leukemia in the first human use of an “off-the-shelf” cell therapy from Cellectis that creates designer immune cells.

One-year-old Layla had run out of all other treatment options when doctors at Britain’s Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) gave her the highly experimental, genetically edited cells in a tiny 1-milliliter intravenous infusion.

Two months later, she was cancer-free and she is now home from hospital, the doctors said at a briefing about her case in London on Wednesday . . .

The gene-edited cell treatment was prepared by scientists at GOSH and University College London (UCL) together with the French biotech firm Cellectis, which is now funding full clinical trials of the therapy due to start next year . . .

Using a gene-editing technology called TALEN, which acts as “molecular scissors,” specific genes are then cut to make the T-cells behave in two specific ways: Firstly, they are rendered invisible to a powerful leukemia drug that would usually kill them and secondly they are reprogrammed to only target and fight against leukemia cells.
