Jeb Bush: I’ll Break Away From GOP Pack

Jeb Bush said in an interview aired Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that he believes he’ll be in a better position to break away from the rest of the Republican field when he announces his presidential candidacy.

“I think this transition to a candidacy will allow me to be more direct about my advocacy of the leadership skills necessary for the next president to fix a few things,” Bush told CNN’s Dana Bash in Tallinn, Estonia, on Saturday.

“And as a candidate, contrary to someone who has been listening and learning along the way, I’ll offer up alternatives to the path we’re on as well, so I’ll be more specific on policy,” he said.

Bush, who has long been viewed as a likely presidential contender, is expected to announce his candidacy on Monday. But he believes it could take some time for him to break out of a crowded Republican pack, which already boasts 10 candidates.

“People make up their minds in the last weeks of these primaries,” Bush said. “My expectation is we’ll have slow, steady progress. That’s been the expectation all along.” (Read more from “Jeb Bush: I’ll Break Away From GOP Pack” HERE)

North Carolina Youths in Stable Condition After Losing Limbs in Shark Attack

By Fox News. Two North Carolina kids were reported in stable condition late Sunday after losing limbs in separate shark attacks approximately two hours apart.

Oak Island Mayor Betty Wallace told the Wilmington Star-News that a 12-year-old girl lost part of her left arm and might lose her left leg, while a 16-year-old boy lost his left arm. Brain Watts, Brunswick County’s emergency management director, told the paper Sunday that both victims were out of surgery. Wallace said the girl was not from the area, but was visiting family. There was no immediate information about the 16-year-old boy.

Brunswick County Dispatchers said that they received the call at 4:12 p.m. and several agencies responded to the scene including Oak Island Police and the Air Link Helicopter. The second incident was reported at 5:30 Sunday.

The Oak Island town manager sent an ATV to get everyone out of the water, the mayor said, adding that the Brunswick County Sheriff’s office was going to send a helicopter up and down the coast to patrol. Parents of ‘Black’ NAACP President Say She is White! [+video]

The City of Spokane announced Thursday it’s investigating whether the president of the Spokane chapter of the NAACP violated the city’s code of ethics in her application to serve on the citizen police ombudsman commission.

Rachel Dolezal serves as chair of the independent commission, in addition to her work as an adjunct faculty member at Eastern Washington University and president of the NAACP local chapter. On her application to serve on the commission, she identified herself as African-American. But public records, including Dolezal’s own birth certificate, list her biological parents as Ruthanne and Lawrence Dolezal of Montana. The Dolezals told KXLY Thursday that Rachel is their biological daughter and that they are both white . . .

On the NAACP Spokane Facebook page, a picture was posted earlier this year showing Dolezal and an African-American man. In the post, he’s identified as Dolezal’s father. KXLY4’s Jeff Humphrey asked Dolezal about that claim Wednesday afternoon.

“Ma’am, I was wondering if your dad really is an African-American man,” Humphrey asked.

“I don’t understand the question,” Dolezal answered. “I did tell you [that man in the picture] is my dad.” “Are your parents white?” Humphrey asked. At that point, Dolezal removed the microphone, ended the interview and walked away. (Read more from “Family Says ‘Black’ NAACP President Is White!” HERE)

Bristol Palin Slams Miley Cyrus’ Mockery of Christian Conservatives

By Leah Marieann Klett. Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, has offered up some harsh words for popstar Miley Cyrus after she mocked Christian conservatives for believing in Old Testament “fairy tales” and said those who oppose gay marriage “shouldn’t be allowed to make laws.”

“In her cover story for Paper magazine, Miley Cyrus spoke candidly about her sexuality, her hippie lifestyle, and her politics,” Palin, 24, wrote in a June 11 Patheos blog post titled “Miley Cyrus Claims She’s ‘Least Judgmental Person Ever,’ Calls Christians ‘Insane Motherf–kers.”

She continued, “While her nude photo shoot has attracted the attention of many, it is her hilarious tirade about tolerance that turned my head.”

In the June 9 interview, Cyrus, who was raised in a Christian home and baptized in a Southern Baptist church, referred to her parents as “conservative-ass mother–kers” and railed against those who oppose same-sex marriage, arguing that “those people [shouldn’t] get to make our laws.”

The “Wrecking Ball” singer, who called herself “the least judgemental person ever” in the interview, also slammed Christians who believe Noah’s Ark was a real vessel: “That’s f–king insane,” she told the magazine. “We’ve outgrown that fairy tale, like we’ve outgrown f–king Santa and the tooth fairy.” (Read more from “Bristol Palin Slams Miley Cyrus’ Mockery of Christian Conservatives” HERE)

Miley Cyrus Mocks Christians Who Believe in Old Testament ‘Fairy Tales’, Says Those Who Oppose Homosexuality ‘Shouldn’t Get to Make Laws’

By Leah Marieann Klett. Pop singer Miley Cyrus recently slammed Christian conservatives for believing in “fairy tales” like the story of Noah’s ark and argued that those who hold to a traditional definition of marriage should not be permitted to make laws within the United States.

In a recent interview with Paper magazine, Cyrus, who appears nude within the publication, refers to herself as the “least judgmental person ever.”

However, the magazine notes that while she was raised in a Christian home and was baptized in a Southern Baptist church, the “Wrecking Ball” singer “maintains a particular contempt for fundamentalist lawmakers who rally against this sort of progressive, potentially life-saving changes [for the LGBT] community.”

“Those people [shouldn’t] get to make our laws,” Cyrus said of Christians who hold to a traditional view of marriage. (Read more from this story HERE)

California Crackdown Unprecedented: State Orders Even Larger Water Cuts for Farmers

California regulators ordered farmers and others who hold some of the state’s strongest water rights Friday to stop pumping from three major waterways in one of the country’s prime farm regions.

The order involving record cuts by senior water rights holders in the Sacramento, San Joaquin and delta watersheds followed mandatory water curtailment earlier this year to cities and towns and to farmers with less iron-clad water rights . . .

Economists and agriculture experts say growing of some crops will shift in the short-term to regions with more water, so the water cuts are expected to have little immediate impact on food prices.

The order applies to 114 entities that have claims dating back to 1914 or earlier. It will force thousands of water users in the state to tap groundwater, buy water at rising costs, use previously stored water or go dry . . .

It’s the first time since the drought of 1977 that the state has directed a significant number of senior water rights holders to stop pumping because of drought and amounts to the most widespread cuts ever among those with some of the state’s strongest water rights. Sneak: Republicans Plan New Obamatrade Push Next Week

U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions warns:

It appears there will be another attempt by Tuesday to force through new executive powers for President Obama. A vote for TAA next week is a vote to send fast-track to the President’s desk and to grant him these broad new executive authorities. If that happens, it will empower the President to form a Pacific Union encompassing 40 percent of the world’s economy and 12 nations—each with one equal vote. Once the union is formed, foreign bureaucrats will be required to meet regularly to write the Commission’s rules, regulations, and directives—impacting Americans’ jobs, wages, and sovereignty. The union is chartered with a “Living Agreement,” and there is no doubt it will seek to expand its membership and reach over time.

Fast-track will not only apply to the Pacific Union, but can expedite an unlimited number of yet-unseen international compacts for six years. There are already plans to advance through fast-track the Trade in Services Agreement, the goal of which includes labor mobility among more than 50 nations, further eroding the ability of the American people to control their own affairs.

Americans do not want this, did not ask for it, and are pleading from their hearts for their lawmakers to stop it.

Billionaire Bunkers: Forbes Looks Inside the World’s Largest Planned Doomsday Escape

Photo Credit: Forbes For the very first time, a modern day Noah’s Ark has opened its doors for an exclusive inside look offering up plans for the ultimate Billionaire bunker and doomsday escape.

Vivos founder and CEO Robert Vicino announced Vivos Europa One which will be an invitation only, five star, underground survival complex, similar to an underground cruise ship for the elite. Each family will be provided a private 2,500 square foot of floor area, capable of two story improvements for a total of 5,000 square feet of private living quarters. With fit and finish comparable to a mega-yacht, each member family will hire their own architect and contractor to build out their living quarters to the custom standard they desire.

The expansive shelter is located in Germany and is one of the most fortified and massive underground survival shelters on Earth. Originally built by the Soviets during the Cold War, this shelter was a fortress for military equipment and munitions. After the DDR was merged with Germany, the German government inherited this relic and intended to use it for the same purpose of weapons storage. However, due to a law prohibiting the storage of ammunition near a major highway, the German Government soon realized they could not continue with their plans and decided to auction this 76 acre complex. A wealthy investor purchased the entire property, along with all of its improvements, both above and below ground. Vicino says “We are proud to bring this epic project forward in these increasingly dangerous times.”

The hardened facility is capable of withstanding a substantial close range nuclear blast, a direct airplane crash, biological and chemical agents, shock waves, earthquakes, tsunami, electro-magnetic pulses, and virtually any armed attack.

The complex includes over 21,108 square meters (227,904 square feet) of secured, blast proof living areas; and, an additional 4,079 square meters (43,906 square feet) of above-ground office and warehouse buildings, including a train servicing depot. The typical chamber area is 5 meters wide (16.40 feet), by 6 meters tall (19.68 feet) and 85 meters (278.87 feet) long. Collectively there are over 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) of continuous tunnel chambers (equivalent to 71 Boeing 747’s fuselages stretched end to end). All shelter areas are located behind 3 separate nuclear blast and radiation proof vehicle entrances, and a number of other passages for access by people only. Each of the three main tunnel entrances includes an outer security door system, followed by a 40 ton hydraulic truck access door with hardened steel rods which expand into the surrounding encasement, and a second set of massive steel doors providing an airtight seal shut, protecting against chemical, biological and gas intrusion. The underground main traffic corridors are large enough to allow mechanical transportation of heavy equipment to almost any point within the complex. Federal Court Ruling: Strict Abortion Law in Texas Is Constitutional; May Close All but Seven Clinics Statewide

A federal appeals court upheld strict abortion restrictions was passed by the state of Texas on Tuesday. That decision means that as few as seven abortion clinics could stay open in that state based on those regulations.

According to a report in the Associated Press, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals made a decision that would allow Texas to require abortion clinics to meet “hospital-level” operating standards. The restrictions were approved in 2013 by a Republican-dominated state government.

“Abortion practitioners should have no right to operate their businesses from sub-standard facilities and with doctors who lack admitting privileges at a hospital,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a Republican, said.

However, pro-choice groups told the Associated Press that they will appeal the ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court, which temporarily halted enforcement of the law last year. Nancy Northrop, president and CEO of the Center for Reproductive Rights, expressed dismay with the lower court’s decision.

“Not since before Roe v. Wade has a law or court decision had the potential to devastate access to reproductive health care on such a sweeping scale,” Northrop said. “We now look to the Justices to stop the sham laws that are shutting clinics down and placing countless women at risk of serious harm.” (Read more from “Federal Court Ruling: Strict Abortion Law in Texas Is Constitutional” HERE)

Watch: This Explosive Three-Minute Video Could Be the Final Nail in Hillary Clinton’s Coffin

With former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina’s addition to the GOP field of 2016 presidential candidates, many saw her as an ideal campaign foil for Democrat frontrunner Hillary Clinton. Such projections have yet to be confirmed, though a campaign ad her team released this week takes aim directly at Clinton’s lack of recognizable achievements.

The three-minute video features clips from several previous Fiorina speeches interspersed with news reports backing up her general message. Specifically, she challenged Clinton’s citation of her extensive travels as a relevant accomplishment.

“Like Mrs. Clinton,” Fiorina said, “I too have traveled the globe. But unlike her, I’ve actually accomplished something. Flying is not an accomplishment; it’s an activity.”

The ad then tackled a few of Clinton’s flubs during her stint as secretary of state – including her controversial presentation of a ‘reset button’ to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I have met Vladimir Putin,” Fiorina added, “and I know that it takes far more than a gimmicky red reset button to halt his ambition.” (Read more from “Watch: This Explosive Three-Minute Video Could Be the Final Nail in Hillary Clinton’s Coffin” HERE)
