The DREAMer and the Nightmare: Illegal Alien Teen Charged in Brutal Murder of USC Engineering Student from China

Jonathan DelCarmen is 19. He came to this country illegally seven years ago, when he was 12. He fits the profile of the prototypical “DREAM” youth whom President Obama has granted administrative amnesty to (and wants to expand massively) — and whom open-borders advocates in both parties believe should be immune from deportation, showered with in-state college tuition discounts, and eligible for a driver’s license and eventual citizenship.

Pictured above are the horrified relatives of Xinran Ji. Ji was 24. He came to America legally to study engineering at USC.

Ji is dead.

Illegal alien youth DelCarmen was charged with his heinous murder, along with several other teen suspects:

DelCarmen is one of four teenagers charged with capital murder in the July 24 assault that killed Ji, an engineering graduate student from China. Police said Ji was walking home from a study group about 12:45 a.m. when he was attacked near campus, just blocks away from his apartment.

Obama Threatens To Bust Out The Pen Against The GOP On The Border Crisis: ‘I’ll Have To Act Alone’

By Mike Miller.

With House Republicans struggling Friday to agree on a border security bill and a similar effort stalled in the Senate, Barack Obama all but said what most political pundits have predicted for weeks: He’s once again ready to wield the mighty “pen” and “phone” and rule by executive order.

Speaking during a hastily-called news conference, Obama said, in part:

“I’m going to have to act alone because we don’t have enough resources. Without additional resources and help from Congress we’re just not going to have the resources to fully solve the problem . . . While they’re out on vacation, I’m going to have to make some tough choices to meet the challenge.”

The truth? According to the Congressional Budget Office, only $25 million would be spent in FY2014. Moreover, 100% of that $25 million would be spent by the Department of Health and Human Services for the housing, care, and relocation of illegal aliens, not the Department of Homeland Security – the agency responsible for securing the border.

‘Billionaire’s Club’ Promoting Clean Energy With Freshly Laundered Money?

Senate report released this week claims that a large network of left-wing groups, non-profit organizations, and ultra wealthy individuals may be working together to illegally influence environmental public policy.

As reported by the Washington Free Beacon, the report details how tens of millions of dollars have been disbursed to sway elections and public policy toward the “green” agenda.

Money enters the network through three groups the report terms the “Billionaire’s Club”: the Environmental Grantmakers Association, the Democracy Alliance, and the “Invest/Divest movement.”

The network funnels money from “charitable” foundations, often through 501(c)(3) “educational” nonprofit groups, to activist organizations that attempt to influence legislation, elections, regulatory actions, or public perception on major environmental issues.

The club’s activities are frequently shielded from public scrutiny due to their use of non-profit tax designations that do not require the public disclosure of donors.

This Multi-Million Dollar Scandal Is So Big That It Could Destroy The Clintons For Good

Already facing a number of setbacks in her fledgling campaign for the 2016 Democrat presidential nomination, Hillary Clinton is now at the center of a new scandal. According to recently released documents from the Department of State, Bill Clinton used his wife’s position as secretary of state to secure numerous lucrative speaking engagements around the globe.

As the Washington Examiner reports, a Judicial Watch investigation is now looking into the unethical nature of such an arrangement and the Obama administration’s perceived complicity in allowing it to continue.

“These documents are a bombshell,” said Tom Fitton, the organization’s president, “and show how the Clintons turned the State Department into a racket to line their own pockets.”

Greg Anderson on AK Senator Debate

0 (88)I just watched the July 15th Alaska Republican U.S. senate debate that was in Homer.

I am still a firm Joe miller supporter.

As a middle aged guy who has some life experience, I listen to my gut as I listen to words.

My gut says, and this is just my impression from seeing one debate:

Dan Sullivan is probably an effective administrator and skilled executive type. I believe he has good experience working in government, and can effectively play the game. I think that he would be able to work in the political arena and get things done, but what things? His dedication to the constitution and founding principals did not come across as an overriding mindset. At first glance it seems as though he would be another luke warm politician willing to play the game of compromise. —–More of the same, but certainly better than Begich.

Mead Treadwell also said what is probably compulsory rhetoric in this election, about standing against government overreach etc. But again these came across as an “also ran” philosophy. Oddly considering his disdain for outside control, he supports the law of the sea treaty. He touts economic benefits to justify the forfeiture of our sovereignty, passing off control to some far off and unfriendly unelected central authority. This is the short sightedness we need to be rid of. —–More of the same, but certainly better than Begich.

Joe Miller by contrast seems to have the constitution and founding principles as core beliefs. The anchor that his positions are tethered to. Joe seems willing to win or lose standing on those principles (as evidenced by the 2010 campaign). Joe is not a perfect human. Joe is not a polished politician. I like that he is not a polished politician though.—-Unique willingness to take stands both constitutionally and fiscally. We need more like him.

We as Americans are at a crossroads. Do we deliberately steer right and adhere to what made us a nation and a people? Or do we just lazily keep on keepin on, electing more of the same who will gently and comfortably compromise us further into fundamental transformation? Do we send (and re-send) politicians who promise us free stuff, or short-term economic benefits for our state while dismantling who we are and thus ruining our future well being?

There are times of specific need in which we seek out leaders with specific skills or traits to meet those needs, and right now is no exception. Right here right now, at this critical crossroads in American history, I think we need to elect leaders with an authentic constitutional conservative core as their foremost trait. To me, that appears to be Joe Miller.

Go Joe!

130 Environmental Groups Gather to Discuss Clean Air… Just Kidding, They Want to ‘End Capitalism’

Environmentalist organizations met on Margarita Island, Venezuela, in July – 130 of them. What was on their agenda? How to make the air and water cleaner or discover new forms of sustainable energy? Nope, ‘ending global capitalism.’

Never mind that global capitalism is responsible for spreading equality in the world and lifting hundreds of millions out of poverty.

The “Ministry of People’s Power For Foreign Relations” hosted the groups for a meeting called The Social PreCOP, whose motto is “Change The System, Not The Climate.” The conference was held to influence the latest round of climate change talks that are going on this year at the United Nations.

Israel: Soldier Reported Captured was 'Killed in Battle'

The soldier that Israel claimed Hamas militants captured Friday, as a temporary cease-fire to the conflict in Gaza rapidly unraveled, is dead, Israel’s military said.

“Lieutenant Hadar Goldin … was killed in battle in the Gaza Strip on Friday, August 1,” the Israel Defense Forces announced early Sunday.

It’s not clear whether Goldin, 23, was captured as the IDF had previously said, or whether he died alongside two other soldiers in an armed clash in Gaza. Military spokesman Peter Lerner said Goldin was promoted to lieutenant posthumously.

Speculation about his fate was already up in the air after the armed wing of Hamas, the al Qassam Brigades, announced it had lost contact with a group of its fighters in the Rafah area — the same area where Goldin was reportedly taken.

In a statement posted on its website, the militant group says it assumes all the fighters died in an Israeli airstrike, including possibly an Israeli soldier. The group — which denied having info on Goldin — stopped short of saying the soldier was captured, using the phrasing “assuming he was captured by the fighters.”

Court Releases 'Fast and Furious' Info Withheld by Obama

A federal court has ruled that the Obama Department of Justice must turn over to the non-profit watchdog group Judicial Watch an index of materials related to the “Fast and Furious” gun-running scandal that were withheld by the White House under executive privilege claims.

Judicial Watch sued because the government didn’t respond to its Freedom of Information Act requests in June and September of 2012.

The ruling by Judge John D. Bates of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia forces the Obama DOJ, for the first time, to provide a Vaughn Index, a detailed listing of all documents that it has withheld from Congress about the scandal along with justification for each withholding.

“Once again, Judicial Watch has beat Congress to the punch in getting key information about another Obama scandal – this time, the Fast and Furious outrage,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Fitton said the information could, for the first time, provide specific details about “who in the administration is responsible for Fast and Furious lies to Congress and the American people.”

Feds Fly Unaccompanied Minors to Alaska (Hopefully they brought winter gear…)

As unaccompanied minors continue to illegally cross the Texas-Mexico border, President Obama’s Health and Human Services (HHS) has been quietly releasing them onto U.S. soil. A total of 30,340 unaccompanied minors have already been released from federal custody and placed into foster homes, according to HHS’ Office of Refugee and Resettlement (ORR). While many migrants have been released in border states like Texas and California, others have been set free in Alaska.

A spokesman from HHS confirmed to Breitbart Texas that as of July 7, five unaccompanied minors were released in Alaska. “Between January 1 and July 7, 2014, a total of five minors were discharged from the Unaccompanied Alien Children program to sponsors in Alaska,” the spokesman said.

The trip from McAllen, Texas–where the current border crisis is occurring–to Anchorage, Alaska is a nine and a half hour flight. This is almost double the time it would take to fly the migrants back to their home countries in Central America; a flight from McAllen to El Salvador takes just over five hours, according to Google Maps.

Russian Official Burns Obama with Putin-Leopard Pic

It’s come to this.

Russia is turning to Twitter to drop a sissy bomb on President Obama, using photos to challenge the manliness of America’s commander in chief, while pumping up their main man, President Vladimir Putin.

The post by Russia’s deputy prime minister Dmitry Rogozin included side-by-side images of the two presidents. In one, Putin is confidently holding a majestic leopard. In the other, a notably younger Obama is holding a small, fluffy dog.

The caption: “We have different values and allies.”

Burn.

72-Hour Truce in Gaza Ended in Less Than 2 Hours

It was the start of a three-day truce, the best hope yet to end a 25-day-old war that has taken an enormous toll on both Palestinians and Israelis.

On Friday morning, Israeli troops were in the southern Gaza Strip preparing to destroy a Hamas tunnel, said Israeli military officials. Suddenly, Palestinian militants emerged from a shaft. They included a suicide bomber, who detonated his explosive device. In the chaos, two Israeli soldiers were killed. The militants grabbed 2nd Lt. Hadar Goldin, 23, and pushed him back through the tunnel, according to the Israeli account.

Within minutes, the war was back.

“The cease-fire is over,” declared Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, a senior spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces. Ground operations will continue, he said, “and our aircraft are in the sky as we speak.”

By Friday afternoon, Israel was heavily shelling areas near the border city of Rafah, where the soldier’s capture occurred. Hamas officials were disputing the timeline of the clashes, accusing Israel of breaking the cease-fire. And the United States and the United Nations, the architects of the truce, were condemning the killing of the two soldiers and Goldin’s abduction while seeking ways to save the peace talks scheduled to take place in Cairo over the weekend.
