Report: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Warns Trump of Deep and Serious Risks If U.S. Strikes Iran

As President Donald Trump considers whether and how to conduct military strikes against Iran ahead of another round of talks in Geneva, Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine has advised the president and senior officials that such action could carry significant risks, including the possibility of a prolonged conflict, according to Axios.

Axios reported that Gen. Caine has advised Trump and top members of his national security team that a military campaign against Iran could carry serious consequences, including the possibility of the United States becoming entangled in a prolonged conflict. The account was based on conversations with five sources who either attended or were briefed on high-level internal meetings.

According to Axios, Caine has not advocated for a strike but would execute any decision the president ultimately makes. One source described him as a “reluctant warrior” in discussions about Iran, contrasting his posture with his support for the operation to capture Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro. While Caine was described as fully supportive of the Venezuela operation, two sources told Axios he has been more cautious regarding Iran because he views the stakes as higher and the risks of entanglement and American casualties as greater.

Another source with direct knowledge of Caine’s thinking told Axios that the chairman is not opposed to a military campaign but is “clear-eyed and realistic” about the likelihood of success and what could unfold once a conflict begins. A senior official pushed back on suggestions that Caine had voiced skepticism.

Joint Staff spokesman Joe Holstead told Axios that, in his advisory capacity, the chairman presents “a range of military options” along with “secondary considerations and associated impacts and risks,” and does so confidentially. White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly remarked in a written statement that Caine is a “talented and highly-valued” member of Trump’s national security team and that the president hears “a host of opinions” before deciding what he believes best protects U.S. national security. Text Message Reportedly Reveals Motivation Of ‘Deeply Disturbed’ Man Killed Attempting To Breach Mar-a-Lago

By Daily Caller. The man killed by Secret Service agents Sunday while attempting to breach President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida had an apparent obsession with the release of files pertaining to deceased child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, TMZ reported.

Two agents and a deputy from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office confronted Austin Tucker Martin, 21, who was armed with a shotgun and carrying a gas can, according to a press conference held by federal and local law enforcement officials following a statement from the U.S. Secret Service. The texts between Martin and a co-worker about the Epstein files from Feb. 15 indicated a belief there was a cover-up about the disgraced financier, according to TMZ.

“I don’t know if you read up on the Epstein Files, but evil is real and unmistakable,” one of Martin’s texts reads. “The best people like you and I can do is use what little influence we have. Tell other people about what you hear about the Epstein files and what the government is doing about it. Raise awareness.”

The Department of Justice released 3.5 million pages of documents from its collection of Epstein files Jan. 30, which included contacts Epstein had with Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and former White House strategist Steve Bannon.

The disgraced financier, arrested in 2019 on sex trafficking charges, apparently committed suicide in his Manhattan jail cell while awaiting trial. Even after he became a convicted sex offender, Epstein had extensive ties to celebrities, politicians, and executives, including L Brands founder Lex Wexner, director Woody Allen, and Andrew -Windsor, the former Duke of York. Ancient Assyrian Christian Community in Middle East ‘Doesn’t Have a Chance of Survival’

A religious freedom activist warns that the Assyrian Christian community in the Middle East “does not have a chance of survival” and offered sharp words of criticism at the sixth annual International Religious Freedom Summit, saying “the West has repeatedly failed Assyrian Christians.”

During a Monday panel discussion titled “Voices from Underreported Religious Communities Caught Amid Conflict,” experts discussed the dire state of religious freedom in several countries and pleaded for help from the United States, Western countries and supranational organizations like the United Nations.

Karmella Borashan of the Assyrian International Council spoke about the plight of Assyrian Christians, which she noted dates back to the fall of Saddam Hussein in 2003 and the subsequent Syrian Civil War.

“Ever since, Assyrians faced systematic, subtle persecution from both the Jihadists and Kurdish forces, each using different tactics, and in Syria, lack of security and economic collapse specifically affects all Syrians, specifically Assyrian Christians as minorities,” Borashan said. “Many villages that once were very thriving, they remain largely empty.”

“In Iraq, they face violent attack by Islamist extremists,” she added. “Assyrian archeological sites more than 3000 years [old] are being vandalized.” (Read more from “Assyrian Community in Middle East ‘Doesn’t Have a Chance of Survival’” HERE)

Married Democrat Candidate Cozies Up To Much Younger Far-Left Opponent Over Drinks

Democratic candidates Daniel Biss and Kat Abughazaleh appeared to cozy up to each other and enjoy drinks at a historic Chicago cocktail bar, less than a month before they are set to face each other in a heated House primary.

Biss, the mayor of Evanston, Illinois, and Abughazaleh, a prominent left-wing social media influencer, are both running in Illinois’ 9th congressional district, which will hold its crowded Democratic primary on March 17 to replace retiring longtime Democratic Illinois Rep. Jan Schakowsky, 81. Both were spotted next to each other at Uptown Chicago’s Green Mill Cocktail Lounge, photos from multiple accounts posted to X on Thursday show.

The photos depict Biss, who is married with two children, seated closely next to Abughazaleh, more than 20 years his junior, in a booth at the century-old bar, with what appeared to be multiple alcoholic drinks on the table.

In one photo, Biss is seen smiling and holding up a glass in the direction of the Abughazaleh. Another shows the mayor tilting his head toward the influencer with just inches separating the two Democrats.

When asked for comment, Biss’ campaign referred the Daily Caller News Foundation to Axios reporter Justin Kaufmann’s X post.

Inside the Rotting Skeleton of Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Lolita Express’ Plane That Still Holds Dark Clues About Perv’s Abuses

Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous “Lolita Express” private jet has been rotting in a Georgia boneyard for a decade— but, dark reminders of the late pedophile’s depraved lifestyle still remain frozen in time.

The Post uncovered the eerie evidence this week during a rare tour of the 133-foot-long Boeing 727, which Epstein once used to shuttle his young sex-trafficking victims around the globe, according to prosecutors.

New photos show the jet corroding and falling apart on an outdoor slab, where it has been left exposed to the elements for years.

Insects and mildew coat parts of the once-luxurious interior, which features a bedroom, three separate sitting areas, a kitchen and two bathrooms – all finished with polished wood, high-pile carpeting and other upscale features.

The plane — N908JE, the last two digits a nod to the perv’s initials — ferried former President Bill Clinton, ex Treasury Secretary Larry Summers and other VIPs. Fury as Serial Child Molester Freed From Prison Early: ‘Monster Parents Fear Most’

In a jaw-dropping decision that’s igniting fury across California, state officials have approved the parole for one of Sacramento County’s most reviled child predators — despite promises he would die behind bars.

David Allen Funston, 64, was granted parole under California’s Elderly Parole Program this week, stunning victims and prosecutors who believed he would never walk free. The program allows inmates over the age of 50 who have served 20 years to petition for release.

“He shouldn’t be breathing the same air that we’re breathing at all,” one of Funston’s victims, who was taken and assaulted by him at 4-years-old, told the Los Angeles Times. “I disagree with him getting paroled out because he’s a horrible person. That man is a monster.”

The monster in question earned his reputation through a reign of terror in the mid-90’s. Living in a suburb of Sacramento, Funston reportedly kidnapped and molested at least eight children — seven girls and one boy — luring them in with Barbie dolls and candy.

One victim, a five-year-old immigrant girl who spoke limited English, was assaulted and abandoned 50 miles from her home in a rural county. (Read more from “Fury as Serial Child Molester Freed From Prison Early: ‘Monster Parents Fear Most’” HERE)

WATCH: Cartel Terror Erupts in Over One Third of Mexico as CJNG Exacts Revenge

Cartel violence exploded across more than ten of Mexico’s 32 states on Sunday after the government of Mexico confirmed the death of Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG) leader Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera, triggering roadblocks, gunfire, and burning vehicle attacks from the Pacific Coast to the Texas border.

The unrest forced airports to halt operations, highways to shut down, and U.S. officials to warn American citizens to shelter-in-place as CJNG gunmen launched coordinated retaliatory strikes nationwide.

As reported by Breitbart Texas, El Mencho’s death occurred during an enforcement operation conducted by special operations group soldiers with the Mexican Army. At 1:10 p.m. on Sunday, Mexico’s Secretary of National Defense confirmed El Mencho’s demise with the assistance of other military units, including the Mexican Air Force.

The violence erupted shortly after rumors of El Mencho’s death began to circulate early Sunday morning when cartel gunmen associated with the CJNG began constructing road blockades using semi-tractor trailers and civilian vehicles, some lit on fire, to impede traffic along major roadways in four key states controlled by the cartel.

The CJNG is one of several cartels in Mexico that have been designated as foreign terrorist organizations by the Trump administration. Gunmen set multiple vehicles alight and set fire to commercial buildings, bringing traffic in several Mexican cities to a standstill in the border state of Tamaulipas. The violence soon spread to Guanajuato, Michoacán, and Jalisco. (Read more from “WATCH: Cartel Terror Erupts in Over One Third of Mexico as CJNG Exacts Revenge” HERE)

Why Did Republicans Skip The Hearing For Epstein’s Billionaire Bestie?

House Oversight GOP members skipped billionaire Les Wexner’s deposition, where he revealed new details about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

The Wednesday deposition with the House Oversight Committee took place in Ohio where several Democrat committee members traveled to be present at the Epstein co-conspirator’s deposition, including California Democrat Ranking Member Robert Garcia.

Although several Democrat members were present at the deposition not one Republican member travelled for the deposition of Wexner who was allegedly one of Epstein’s largest bankrollers.

The Daily Caller reached out to the House Oversight Committee for comment on why no Republican members attended the deposition.

Depositions are formal legal proceedings conducted by committee staff. Under committee rules, the majority and minority alternate between hour-long periods of questioning. (Read more from “Why Did Republicans Skip The Hearing For Epstein’s Billionaire Bestie?” HERE)

WATCH: Trump Calls USA Hockey Team, Invites Them to SOTU After Winning Gold

President Donald Trump called the U.S. men’s hockey team, and FBI Director Kash Patel joined them in the locker room to celebrate their win over Canada on Sunday.

About an hour after the team won their first Olympic gold medal since 1980, Coach Mike Sullivan announced that Trump spoke via FaceTime with the athletes.

“The players just had the President on, I don’t know what it was, what do you call it, FaceTime, whatever, in the locker room,” he said, according to USA Today. “He just spoke to the group, expressing how proud he was of the group and congratulating everybody on the win.”

Clinching the medal “was an inspiration to our country,” he continued. “I can’t tell you how many texts I’ve received over the last day or so about watch parties at 8 o’clock in the morning. I think from a viewership standpoint, the United States, there were a lot of people paying attention, the President included.”

In a video captured in the locker room, Patel is holding up his phone while Trump can be heard saying, “You were all unbelievable.”

Trump Imposes 10 Percent Global Tariff After Supreme Court Struck Down Emergency Powers Tariffs

President Donald Trump announced he is imposing a ten percent global tariff on top of tariffs already in place after the Supreme Court struck down his duties imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).

Trump’s announcement came during a press briefing the White House scheduled on short notice after the 6-3 ruling against the IEEPA tariffs, in which Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Neil Gorsuch, and Justice Amy Coney Barrett sided with liberal judges to rule against the president.

The 10 percent global tariff Trump is imposing on Friday is not under IEEPA but under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, which Justice Brett Kavanaugh emphasized is another vehicle for imposing tariffs in his dissenting opinion.

“Effective immediately, all national security tariffs under Section 232, and existing Section 301, tariffs… remain in place, fully in place, and in full force and effect,” Trump said.

“Today, I will sign an order to impose a 10 percent global tariff under Section 122, over and above our normal tariffs already being charged, and we’re also initiating several Section 301 and other investigations to protect our country from unfair trading practices of other countries and companies,” he added.
