Security Video May Show Boston Marathon Bombing Suspect; Report of Arrest Premature (+video)

The daunting task of sifting through thousands of images of the Boston Marathon bombing site in search of a culprit suddenly telescoped to a single video from a Lord & Taylor security camera Wednesday.

The discovery of video of a man who wore a large backpack to the finish line area and then dropped the package there raised hopes for an imminent breakthrough in the case, setting off a media frenzy and insistent statements from authorities that no arrest has been made. A Boston city official said the video is of “special interest” to investigators.

The second full day of the investigation into the attack that killed three people and injured at least 176 brought jitters, rumors and at least the hope that investigators had made important progress, though Massachusetts Gov. Deval L. Patrick (D) said that while the probe is “making some progress . . . it’s going to be slow, it’s going to be methodical.”

Boston’s federal courthouse, where hundreds had gathered in response to false reports of an arrest, was briefly evacuated because of a bomb threat. Officials also evacuated a Boston hospital, Brigham and Women’s, and Oklahoma City’s City Hall because of suspicious vehicles outside. No explosives were found in those cases.

In Boston, many of the injured were released from hospitals. At Brigham and Women’s, which initially treated 35 people, only 11 were still hospitalized Wednesday evening, four of them in critical condition.

U.S. 'Deporting Saudi Person of Interest'

By Joe Kovacs. An expert on terrorism says the Saudi national who was the original “person of interest” in connection with Monday’s Boston Marathon bombing is going to be deported from the U.S. next week.

The foreign student from Revere, Mass., is identified as 20-year-old Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi.

“I just learned from my own sources that he is now going to be deported on national security grounds next Tuesday, which is very unusual,” Steve Emerson of the Investigative Project on Terrorism told Sean Hannity of Fox News Wednesday night.

The Reuters news agency reported President Barack Obama met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal on Wednesday, noting “the meeting was not on Obama’s public schedule.”

After that meeting was mentioned, Emerson told Hannity, “That’s very interesting because this is the way things are done with Saudi Arabia. You don’t arrest their citizens. You deport them, because they don’t want them to be embarrassed and that’s the way we appease them.” Read more from this story HERE.

Saudi Arabia deports 3 men for being too sexy

By Michael Blaustein. Three men were booted out of Saudi Arabia because they were deemed “too handsome” by religious authorities who worried that women would become attracted to them.

Sitting in the stands as delegates from the United Arab Emirates at the Jenadrivah Heritage & Cultural Festival in Riyad on Sunday, nothing seemed to be wrong with the men in question but that didn’t stop the mutaween, Saudi Arabia’s religious police, from charging in and hauling the men away, according to Arabic language newspaper Elaph. Gosnell's "House of Horrors" Experiments Revealed

One of Gosnell’s assistants, in a recent Philadelphia grand jury report, described the Super Coil as “basically plastic razors that were formed into a ball” and covered in gel. “After several hours of body temperature, it would then — the gel would melt, and these 97 things would spring open, supposedly cutting up the fetus, and the fetus would be expelled.”

[Harvey] Karman, under the auspices of the International Planned Parenthood Federation, had traveled to Bangladesh to abort babies conceived through rape by soldiers. Now the inventor was taking his weapon in the abortion wars to Gosnell’s clinic, and New York’s public television station was there to catch it on camera. Things didn’t go well.

“At least two of the 18 women given abortions had to be hospitalized afterward,” the Tribune reported. “One of them almost died. Nine suffered other complications, including bleeding and infection.”

When Karman, a former colleague of Gosnell, died in 2008, much of the media touted him as a hero. The Chicago Tribune’s obituary read: “Harvey Karman 84, flamboyant psychologist who invented a device that made a key contribution to women’s reproductive health, particularly by making abortions simpler, less expensive and less painful; May 6, in Santa Barbara, Calif., of a stroke.”

Indeed, Karman’s abortion method for the first trimester — suctioning out a tiny baby with a modified syringe — became the industry norm. Karman’s Super Coil was abandoned.

Slate: 'Marriage Equality' Includes Polygamy

As a lawyer in the same-sex marriage litigation at the Supreme Court who has spent a couple years working through all the implications of declaring a constitutional right to gay marriage, it became clear that such a declaration would also mean there is a right to polygamy. When I previously explained these reasons, gay marriage supporters said the country would never go there. Well, now the far-left magazine Slate has come out with a full-throated endorsement of polygamous marriage.

For thousands of years, Western Civilization has always recognized three elements to marriage. It is the union of (1) two consenting adults, (2) of opposite sex, (3) who are not close blood relatives. Gay marriage advocates say the second element can be jettisoned. I’ve always asked why those same people say the first element cannot be touched.

Slate believes, “Legalized polygamy in the United States is the constitutional, feminist, and sex-positive choice.”

They’re wrong on all counts. On the constitutional issue, for liberties not found in the text of the Constitution (where marriage is never mentioned once), the Supreme Court has held a fundamental right is one that is “deeply rooted in the history and traditions” of the American people. Marriage of one man and one woman satisfy this test, which is why the Court held in the 1878 case Reynolds v. U.S. that there is no constitutional right to polygamy. It’s also why there is no right to gay marriage but why laws against marriage between different racial groups are clearly unconstitutional.

Slate elaborates on their reasoning:

The definition of marriage is plastic. Just like heterosexual marriage is no better or worse than homosexual marriage, marriage between two consenting adults is not inherently more or less “correct” than marriage among three (or four, or six) consenting adults. Though polygamists are a minority—a tiny minority, in fact—freedom has no value unless it extends to even the smallest and most marginalized groups among us.

Financial Crisis Caused by Banksters on Cocaine, Says Former UK Drug Czar

The former Government drugs tsar, Professor David Nutt, has said the financial crisis was caused by too many bankers taking cocaine.

The controversial academic, who was sacked for claiming that ecstasy was as safe as horse riding, told the Sunday Times that abuse of cocaine caused the financial meltdown.

“Bankers use cocaine and got us into this terrible mess,” he told the paper adding that the drug made them “overconfident” and led to them taking more risks.

Nutt, who is professor of neuropsychopharmacology at Imperial College, claimed that cocaine was perfect for a banking “culture of excitement and drive and more and more and more. It is a ‘more’ drug”.

He goes on to claim in the interview that abuse of cocaine led to the financial meltdown, “and the Barings crash”.

Move Over ObamaPhone: 844-Page Immigration Bill Funds New 'MarcoPhone'

With the new ‘Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act’ finally being filed in the U.S. Senate, concerns over how much money the immigration reform bill will cost an already debt-ridden United States continues to swirl among Americans who are already strapped for cash.

According to the newly filed bill, immigrants who are allowed to enter the United States under a work visa, will be ‘granted’ a taxpayer funded cellular phone. Move over “Obama phone,” we present the new ‘Hola, Como Estas?!’ MarcoPhone.

Here is the actual mention of the free phones in the bill-

Salon Magazine and White Males: It Warms My Heart to No End that They Want Me for Something…

The smartest, most literate, most influential minds of America have something mordant and deeply wrong infecting the core of their souls. No publication epitomizes this sarcoma more completely than Salon Magazine. Salon Magazine’s commentary following the Boston Marathon Terror Bombing provides further evidence that America’s most well-educated and carefully trained minds are in the midst of the iniquitous process of turning our nation into just the sort of evil we used to stand up and fight.

Just as every INGSOC needs a Goldstein; every Progressive needs a good Boogeyman to make the proletariat perform another idiot dance. Salon Magazine wants a good, stereotypical, White Male. They would even prefer a Bible-believing Christian if available. They hope the Boston Marathon bomber is a !WHITE! American. Like all good Progressives, they have another racial quota to fill. Bigotry worthy of Reverend Al Sharpton follows below.

“White privilege is knowing that even if the bomber turns out to be white, no one will call for your group to be profiled as terrorists as a result, subjected to special screening or threatened with deportation,” writes author Tim Wise. “White privilege is knowing that if this bomber turns out to be white, the United States government will not bomb whatever corn field or mountain town or stale suburb from which said bomber came, just to ensure that others like him or her don’t get any ideas. And if he turns out to be a member of the Irish Republican Army we won’t bomb Dublin. And if he’s an Italian-American Catholic we won’t bomb the Vatican.”

It comes as no shock that David Sirota would have penned the article. He seems to have a history of imagining a burning cross and a Klan Rally every time he walks past a rack of white linens for sale at Macy’s. In a previous article Time to Profile White Men?* Sirota offered us up the following perverted version of Affirmative Action. If only we could smash White Privilege and lock them up in internment camps the way Japanese Americans were during WWII. Hey, let’s send a few White Gun-Owners to Gitmo for four years. That would make Amerika really fair!

Boston Terror Bombing Shows Glaring Need to Secure our Borders

No matter who or what is behind the terror bombing in Boston, it should put the spotlight on how terribly porous our borders are.

The politicians in Washington tell us there are only 11 million “undocumented” aliens in our country. But many estimates run 3 times higher than that number.

So what is the real truth? Lets suppose it is somewhere in the middle and put the figure at 20 million.

That’s 20 million people who entered our country, most without permission and we do not know who they are, or where they are. That’s a recipe for disaster when it comes to terror potential.

This administration keeps patting itself on the back and saying our borders are more secure now than ever. But the truth is, the job they are doing is totally unacceptable.

We already know there are drug and smuggling corridors openly used between Mexico and our border states. It is relatively easy to cross the border in many areas and that puts our national security at risk. See Congressman Chaffetz report

The many people flooding our borders illegally, are from countries throughout the world. But alarmingly, we see a growing influence in Latin America, of Iran, narco states and jihadism, this potentially can be a huge problem. See article

Out of the 20 million illegals, even if 99% of them are here to work and have a better life for themselves and their families, that leaves 1%, or 200,000 who might have malevolent intent towards us….But we really don’t know do we, we are navigating in the blind.

America should be paying attention to the borders first and foremost before anything else is discussed on immigration. What this administration is saying about secure borders is false and that is verified by ICE officers who are suing the administration because they claim they will be fired if they enforce immigration law. See story. ICE agents are not happy with orders given them regarding border security and immigration policy. See ICE agents.

Many people get into the country legally, yet overstay their visas and become illegal. In most cases we do not know where these folks are or what they are doing. The responsibility for visas should be turned over to the private sector. A credit card company who already has infrastructure and expertise in place, could do a far better job than what is now being done by the government.

There is no country in the world that can survive as a going concern that does not have control of its borders. A country without borders is not a country.

Democrat Senator Mark Warner: US Debt Crisis More Threatening than Terror

A day after bombings at the Boston Marathon, Sen. Mark Warner said that fiscal issues are more important than terrorism for the future of the country.

“In my mind, with the tragedy of yesterday, the issue of this national debt is a greater threat to our nation and our future than any terrorist action,” Warner said Tuesday evening at an awards dinner in Washington. “We will not be destroyed from the outside.”

The Virginia Democrat comments were part of larger remarks he gave on the importance of putting the country on better fiscal footing Tuesday evening at the Capital Hilton during the Bryce Harlow Foundation’s annual dinner. Warner received the Bryce Harlow Award for his career and contributions to the advancement of government relations

In Welfare We Trust: One-Sixth of Federal Budget is Now Welfare

Yes, it looks like a wedding announcement out of The Onion, but when it comes to making a killing off the never-ending “War on Poverty,” the marriage of convenience between the financial services industry and federal bureaucrats is no laughing matter.

The idea that government welfare programs could eliminate poverty, rather than temporarily alleviate its worst impacts during hard times, took root during Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society initiative. From modest beginnings, a panoply of federal welfare programs expanded and multiplied to the point where they now consume one-sixth of the federal budget—some $588 billion last year, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

This is a lot of spending—even by contemporary standards—and this figure doesn’t even include the current explosion in unemployment benefits, as these are considered social “insurance” payouts rather than welfare. Nor does it include Social Security or Medicare, our largest and most rapidly growing federal expenditures. To make matters worse, these programs, which were designed to keep the elderly out of poverty, are entitlements not yet subject to means testing, so payments go to rich, middle class, and poor alike.

With anti-poverty programs enjoying meteoric growth thanks to the economic policies of the current and previous administrations, we may someday look back fondly on the days when we “only” had to fork over half a trillion a year to support the longest and least successful “war” in American history, with no sign of stopping.

How many civil servants with good pay and benefits does it take to do all this poverty fighting? Try as I might to discover the answer I finally gave up, surprised that I couldn’t locate a definitive study enumerating the number of federal, state, and government-funded private employees whose livelihood depends on administering the ever expanding stream of tax dollars flowing to the poor. Is it any wonder that these entrenched bureaucrats have managed to slowly expand the definition of poverty to include a standard of living that would have been considered middle class back when the war on poverty started?
