Court Stuns Educators With Approval Of Vouchers

Photo Credit: WNDIn a landmark victory for school choice, the Colorado Court of Appeals surprised educators in the state by affirming the constitutionality of a Douglas County voucher program that allocates money for students who attend “private school partners” rather than government-run schools.

The voucher program came under attack when the organization Taxpayers for Public Education sued the Douglas County School District. The suit challenged the constitutionality of state funding for a program that gave money to parents for their children’s attendance at private religious schools.

In defense of school choice, Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys and Colorado Springs attorney Stuart Lark filed a friend-of-the-court brief on behalf of the Association of Christian Schools International, the Catholic Diocese of Colorado Springs, Shepherd of the Hills Christian School, Southeast Christian School and Valor Christian High School.

“School districts should favor educational choices for parents and their children,” Lark said.

The Colorado Court of Appeals ruled that the Choice Scholarship Program was “neutral toward religion.” The court decision also noted that the funds “make their way to private schools with religious affiliation by means of personal choices of students’ parents.”

Roger Ailes Nails Joe Biden-“He’s As Dumb As An Ashtray”

Ailes, in response to organized attacks by Obama supporters on Anne Romney criticizing her for not having to work: “Obama’s the one who never worked a day in his life.

“He never earned a penny that wasn’t public money. How many fundraisers does he attend every week? How often does he play basketball and golf? I wish I had that kind of time. He’s lazy, but the media won’t report that. … I didn’t come up with that. Obama said that, to Barbara Walters.”

But Ailes also had harsh words for Newt Gingrich calling him a “p***k.”

“He’s a sore loser and if he had won he would have been a sore winner,”

Ailes doesn’t hold back and it’s about time others in his position did the same. It’s time to recognize the herd of effete pseudo intellectual elephants who have grabbed hold of power in Washington.

Ailes comments on Biden, come as no surprise to anyone who has paid attention to his antics for the several decades he has been in the Senate and now in the Whitehouse.

Biden has utter disregard for the truth and showed that when he proclaimed during his speech at the Democrat convention in 2012: “Osama Bin Laden is dead and the GM Volt is alive”…Inferring to us that he and Obama had tamed the terrorism situation by taking out Bin Laden AND their marketing genius had made the Chevy Volt a huge success. See Hey Joe Biden! The Volt is dead and Al Quaeda is alive!

But around the time Biden was stretching the bounds of credulity in front of crowds at the 2012 Democrat National Convention, 21 of our embassies and consulates in the Mideast and North Africa were attacked by Islamic mobs, resulting in deaths of our personnel.

Same thing for the GM Volt. Mr. Biden knew sales of the Volt were horrible and as a matter of fact manufacture of them had been stopped due to poor sales.

But facts have never got in the way of Mr. Biden over the years, he has gotten a free pass from the press. If Mr. Biden was a member of the republican party, he would have long ago been tarred and feathered for his prevarications and run out of town on a rail.

Perhaps Mr. Biden is thought of as an intellectual giant among his electorate, we know he thinks he is. But those of us, who have actually paid attention to what he has said over the years, have a much different opinion and Roger Ailes aptly describes it.

DHS Buying Armored Vehicles

Photo Credit: DonkeyHoteySecurity: In addition to stockpiling over a billion bullets and thousands of semiautomatic weapons the feds would deny U.S. citizens, the vehicle of choice for fighting the counterinsurgency war in Iraq is appearing on U.S. streets.

The sequestration question du jour is why the Department of Homeland Security, busy releasing hundreds, if not thousands, of deportable and detained illegal aliens due to budget constraints, is buying several thousand Mine Resistant Armored Protection (MRAP) vehicles?

And just who are they intended to be used against? This acquisition comes on top of the recent news of the stockpiling by DHS of more than 1.6 billion (with a ‘b’) bullets of various calibers, enough by one calculation to fight the equivalent of a 24-year Iraq War, and the ordering of some 7,000 5.56x45mm NATO “personal defense weapons” (PDW) — also known as “assault weapons” when owned by civilians.

Additionally, DHS is asking for 30 round magazines that “have a capacity to hold thirty (30) 5.56x45mm NATO rounds.”
The Department of Homeland Security (through the U.S. Army Forces Command) recently retrofitted 2,717 of these MRAP vehicles for service on the streets of the U.S. They were formerly used for counterinsurgency in Iraq.

These vehicles are specifically designed to resist mines and ambush attacks. They use bulletproof windows and are designed to withstand small-arms fire, including smaller-caliber rifles such as a .223 Remington. Does DHS expect a counterinsurgency here?

Poll: The Tea Party Lives

The poll, commissioned by TheTeaParty.net and conducted by NSON, Inc., found that 48 percent of Americans support the principles of “limited government,” “free markets,” and “personal responsibility.”

The poll also found that 21 percent of Americans support “progressive, liberal principles” of “big government,” “higher taxes,” and “more spending.” The poll explicitly tied the conservative principles to the Tea Party, said Niger Innis, chief strategist for TheTeaParty.net.

According to the poll, nearly half of people in the Midwest, South, and West expressed support for Tea Party principles, while just over 40 percent of people in the northeast—the country’s “liberal stronghold,” said Innis—expressed support.

“The mainstream media wrote our obituary after the November elections. Unfortunately for them, the tea party isn’t going anywhere,” Todd Cefaratti, founder of TheTeaParty.net, said in a statement.

Holder: Drone Strikes Against Americans On U.S. Soil Legal

Photo Credit: ryanjreillyAttorney General Eric Holder can imagine a scenario in which it would be constitutional to carry out a drone strike against an American on American soil, he wrote in a letter to Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.

“It is possible, I suppose, to imagine an extraordinary circumstance in which it would be necessary and appropriate under the Constitution and applicable laws of the United States for the President to authorize the military to use lethal force within the territory of the United States,” Holder replied in a letter yesterday to Paul’s question about whether Obama “has the power to authorize lethal force, such as a drone strike, against a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil, and without trial.”

Paul condemned the idea. “The U.S. Attorney General’s refusal to rule out the possibility of drone strikes on American citizens and on American soil is more than frightening – it is an affront the Constitutional due process rights of all Americans,” he said in a statement.

Holder noted that Paul’s question was “entirely hypothetical [and] unlikely to occur,” but cited the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks as the type of incidents that might provoke such a response.

“Were such an emergency to arise, I would examine the particular facts and circumstances before advising the President on the scope of his authority,” he concluded.

Public Citizen, Greenpeace Target Chevron

Photo Credit: Free Beacon A consortium of environmental and consumer advocacy groups filed a Federal Elections Commission complaint Tuesday alleging that oil giant Chevron violated pay-to-play laws when it donated $2.5 million to the Congressional Leadership Fund, a “super” political action committee tied to House Speaker John Boehner (R., Ohio).

Consumer advocate Public Citizen, as well as environmentalist groups Greenpeace, Oil Change International, and Friends of the Earth, called on the FEC to “undertake an investigation into and enforcement action against Chevron USA, Inc., a federal government contractor, for making a $2.5 million contribution to the Congressional Leadership Fund, a Super PAC, for the purpose of influencing the 2012 federal elections.”

“This is an obvious, coordinated intimidation tactic from the left masquerading as another baseless complaint,” Congressional Leadership Fund spokesman Dan Conston said.

The complaint comes two months after Greenpeace met with dozens of other liberal interest groups at the National Education Association to discuss, among other things, punishing Chevron for contributing to the GOP, according to Mother Jones.

Some D.C. insiders say the FEC complaint is the realization of that meeting. “You had an event in January where you had these liberal donors get together and say let’s go after our enemies … now they have an FEC complaint, a weak complaint at that,” one source said. “It’s a pretty blatant connection; it’s a scary thing.”

Senator Rand Paul calls the administration’s claims “disturbing.” He pointed out that what we’re discussing is not just administration of justice, as in detention or other lesser measures. What we’re talking about is administering the death penalty without respect to the judicial process.

Paul went on to say that there is an enormous amount of hypocrisy with respect to these issues in the Obama administration.

Iran Orders Terrorists: Prepare For War

According to a source in the Revolutionary Guards intelligence unit, the regime believes Israel is on the verge of an attack, which could then draw America into the conflict.

Hundreds of ballistic missiles are ready to be launched against Israel and U.S. military bases in the region, the source said, and all terror groups that have long been positioned in Europe and America are ready to act should war break out.

While the regime has called last week’s negotiations held in Kazakhstan “a turning point” between Iran and the 5-plus-1 countries – the permanent members of the U.N. Security Council plus Germany – it is stalling for time to complete its nuclear weapons development, at which point it believes Israel and the West will have no choice but to accept a nuclear-armed Iran, the source said. However, regime officials do not believe Israel will wait it out and hence the preparations for war, he added.

WND reported exclusively on Feb. 28 about a warning by the regime’s armed forces deputy chief of staff, Brig. Gen. Masoud Jazayeri, that al-Qaida operatives will soon attack America and Europe, even as a second terror team sent by the Islamic regime is about to enter the U.S.

Yale Hosts Workshop Teaching Sensitivity To Bestiality

Photo Credit: Campus ReformOn Saturday afternoon, Yale hosted a “sensitivity training” in which students were asked to consider topics such as bestiality, incest, and accepting money for sex.

During the workshop, entitled, “Sex: Am I Normal,” students anonymously asked and answered questions about sex using their cell phones, and viewed the responses in real time in the form of bar charts.

The session was hosted by “sexologist” Dr. Jill McDevitt, who owns a sex store called Feminique in West Chester, Pa.

Survey responses revealed that nine percent of attendees had been paid for sex, 3 percent had engaged in bestiality, and 52 percent had participated in “consensual pain” during sex, according to an article published in the Yale Daily News on Monday.

Event director Giuliana Berry ’14 told Campus Reform in an interview on Monday that the workshop was brought to campus to teach students not to automatically judge people who may have engaged in these sorts of activities, but rather to respond with “understanding” and “compassion.”

In her speech at the 2008 Democratic Convention Michelle parroted a recurring Obama theme, “All of us driven by a simple belief that the world as it is just won’t do — that we have an obligation to fight for the world as it should be.”

This Saul Alinsky sentiment pervades leftist thinking. The World as it Should Be is the prime motivator for the socialist movement. Forward! To Utopia! When candidate Barack Hussein Obama shouted to his ecstatic followers, “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America!” this is what he meant. Everyone must conform to the requirements of the socialist state in order to make The World as it Should Be.

The progressive left has a vision for how America should be and they are using their considerable media power to lull and compel us into accepting their collectivist ideology. The media are actively defining and disseminating our culture, pulling us hard to the left, and it’s working for them.

The Media Attack on Christianity:
Not content with their assault on the American socioeconomic system and culture, the progressives are warring against Jesus Christ. This has reached an intolerable level, even in a secular nation that believes strongly in First Amendment principles of free speech and freedom of religion.
