Former President Donald Trump has given conflicting statements on the validity of recent polling in the 2024 race against Vice President Kamala Harris.

At a campaign rally Thursday afternoon in Potterville, Michigan, Trump first claimed that he was doing well in presidential polls before casting doubt on their accuracy.

“Every time they see me going up in the polls, and we’re leading in the polls, and I think we’re leading by a lot. You know, the polls, the polls are rigged too,” Trump told the crowd of supporters. . .

Hours later, during a town hall with former Democratic Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard in Wisconsin, Trump bragged about beating Harris in polling.

“The polls have us up here. We’re up in this — we’re up in states, but it’s close. It’s close,” Trump said. “And, you know, they cheat like hell. Woman Allegedly Molested 13-Year-Old Girl She Met While Attending Church, Police Say

Missouri police say they arrested a 25-year-old woman for sexually molesting a 13-year-old girl she met while attending a church.

St. Louis County Police said they were alerted to the alleged abuse by the victim’s mother, who went to police after reading her daughter’s diary.

Police identified the suspect as Brandi James and held her at the county justice center on a bond of $300,000. She is charged with one count of child molestation and two counts of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy.

An investigation produced cellphone messages that allegedly support police allegations that James had engaged in sodomy with the child at least two times. The victim reportedly spoke to police about the incidents.

Zelensky Demands Using U.S. Weapons on Targets in Russia

The war in Ukraine continues to rage on two-and-a-half years after Russian forces breached their neighbor’s borders. The protraction of the conflict has only made a Russian victory—through a favorable settlement or Ukrainian surrender—more likely, though it will come at a much higher cost to the Russians than originally anticipated by both Moscow and Washington. The simple truth is that Russia has more men, more resources, and is not reliant on the goodwill of Western benefactors.

While continued aid from the United States keeps the Ukrainian war effort afloat, that aid has come with certain strings attached. U.S. weapons given to Ukraine, for example, cannot be used to strike targets within Russian territory.

Whether Ukraine has upheld its end of the bargain is unlikely. Ukraine has privately received permission from President Joe Biden to use U.S. weapons in strikes on Russia in the past. Now, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is looking to negotiate, not with Russia but with the United States and other benefactors, to permanently loosen those restraints.

While Zelenskyy has made a habit of making this request, he did so again fervently on Monday after Russia launched one of its largest drone and missile strikes of the campaign so far.

In a video statement posted to X on Monday, Zelenskyy said the Russian strike “involv[ed] over a hundred missiles of various types and around a hundred ‘Shaheds’ [attack drones].”

Although numbers vary, it is estimated there could be upward of 10 million illegal aliens who have made their way across the border since January 2021. That crisis, in turn, has precipitated a flood of criminal activities. Human smuggling and trafficking, sex trafficking, drug trafficking and gun running are rampant. . .

NBC News further reported crossings at the southern border had hit a 21–year high, with over 188,000 border crossers reported just in June of 2021. Approximately 105,000 were sent back to Mexico using a Trump-era Centers for Disease Control and Prevention authority called Title 42. Around 8% of undocumented migrants crossing into the U.S. in March 2021 had been children, a number that increased in June. But children were not subject to expulsions under Title 42, and were instead sheltered within the U.S., and paired with a sponsor. . .

Migrant encounters have continued to break records year–over–year, as the Biden administration undoes all of the Trump-era policies. To change the subject, the media, alongside the administration, have wildly propagandized incidents at the border between Border Patrol and illegal aliens.

For example, Harris pushed a totally false narrative about Border Patrol agents in the Del Rio Sector whipping undocumented migrants from Haiti to push them back.

Biden’s Afghanistan: Taliban Bans MMA

The Taliban terrorist organization ruling Afghanistan confirmed on Wednesday that it had formally banned mixed martial arts (MMA), a sport that began thriving in the country in the final years before the fall of Kabul in 2021.

The edict banning MMA followed the publication of an extensive decree last week by the Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice listing a host of new prohibitions on the private lives of Afghans. The decree officially banned women from showing their faces or using their voices in public and mandated beards and “Islamic” haircuts on men, among other restrictions.

MMA was a nascent sport in Afghanistan when, following the disastrous decision by leftist American President Joe Biden to extend the 20-year Afghan War beyond an agreed-upon May 2021 deadline, the Taliban seized control of Kabul and the Afghan federal government. The Taliban has remained the uncontested ruling power in Afghanistan since, although it has not received formal recognition as such from any other country nor from the United Nations.

The Agence France-Presse (AFP) confirmed the MMA ban with Taliban officials on Wednesday.

Pollster: Kamala Harris’ Lead in Polls Has Reached Peak (VIDEO)

On Wednesday’s episode of “CNN News Central,” pollster Frank Luntz made a notable declaration regarding Vice President Kamala Harris, stating that her post-nomination “honeymoon phase” appears to have reached its peak. According to Luntz, Harris currently holds a narrow three-point lead over former President Donald Trump. However, despite this temporary advantage, Luntz cautioned that the race remains highly competitive and far from settled.

Luntz, known for his political insights, highlighted the significance of swing states in shaping the outcome of the election. He noted that polls in these crucial states have shown a tightening race between Harris and Trump. On air, Luntz pointedly criticized Trump’s campaign strategy, suggesting that the former president has failed to address the issues that voters are most concerned about. “Donald Trump is already talking about this election being stolen,” Luntz remarked.

However, RealClearPolitics data indicates Trump leading by a slim margin of between 0.2% and 1.4% in several battleground states, including Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia. Harris is reportedly leading Trump by 1% in Wisconsin and 2% in Michigan, according to the same source.

In addition to the polling dynamics, Harris has faced criticism for her economic proposals unveiled in mid-August. Her plans to address “price gouging” by large corporations and implement a federal ban have drawn scrutiny. Critics argue that her approach could lead to higher prices and the creation of black markets.

A shocking video shows a crew of gun-wielding men storm through a Colorado apartment building reportedly overrun by a dangerous Venezuelan prison gang.

The group of heavily armed men — including three armed with handguns and one with a rifle — enter the troubled apartment complex in the Denver suburb of Aurora and break into a unit, the clip obtained by KDVR shows.

The footage was captured earlier this month, shortly before a shootout at the complex, The Edge at Lowry, severely injured one person and damaged multiple cars, according to the local news station.

A separate clip taken at a different time shows two men violently bashing the lock of a unit with a tire iron inside the same housing complex, where migrants have moved in.

This Sleep Routine Can Cut Your Heart Disease Risk by 20%: New Study

. . .New research finds that people who catch up on zzz’s on the weekends can cut their risk of heart disease by up to 20%.

“Sufficient compensatory sleep is linked to a lower risk of heart disease,” said study co-author Yanjun Song, a researcher with Fuwai Hospital in Beijing. “The association becomes even more pronounced among individuals who regularly experience inadequate sleep on weekdays.”

Song’s team analyzed sleep data from 90,900 UK residents. Nearly 22% — about 19,800 participants — were categorized as sleep-deprived because they slumbered less than seven hours a night on average.

Researchers followed the participants for nearly 14 years, monitoring hospital and death records for cardiac diseases including heart failure, atrial fibrillation and stroke.

Trump Assassination Attempt: FBI Reveals First Photos of Thomas Crooks’ Firearm, IEDs in Car Trunk

The FBI on Wednesday provided additional details about would-be Trump assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks’ activity before and during the July 13 campaign rally that left one man dead.

While the FBI has not established a definitive motive for the shooter or any co-conspirators with advanced knowledge of the attack, Kevin Rojek, special agent in charge of the FBI Pittsburgh Field Office, told reporters during a press call that Crooks had “a sustained detailed effort to plan an attack on some event, meaning he looked at any number of events or targets.”

The 20-year-old gunman “became hyper-focused” on Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when it was announced in early July. He had no identifiable political ideology, Rojek added.

Over the month leading up to the attack, Crooks made more than 60 searches related to both President Biden and former President Trump. In late September 2023, an account associated with Crooks “searched the former president’s campaign schedule and upcoming appearances in Pennsylvania,” Rojek said.

Bank Employee Found Dead at Her Desk, and It’s Unclear How Long She Sat Unnoticed

Employees at a Wells Fargo corporate office in Tempe, Arizona, say the company hasn’t done enough after an employee was found dead at her desk on Aug. 20.

Police said they were called to the offices by building security on a report of an unconscious employee.

They found 60-year-old Denise Prudhomme dead at her desk.

Police have only said that they had not found any suspicious evidence related to her death but have not released any other details. . .
