Steve Bannon Begins Prison Term, Here’s What His Life Will Look Like

. . .Steve Bannon will join hundreds of political prisoners who have been wrongfully incarcerated during the Biden administration when he turns himself into the Federal Correctional Institution Danbury, a low-security federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut.

Some suspect the former White House chief strategist will be housed in protective custody of the Sentencing Handling Unit, or SHU, of the Danbury prison as have been other high-profile celebrity inmates.

But FCI Danbury, which houses over 1,000 inmates, most of whom are sex offenders, doesn’t have individual cells. Instead, inmates are housed in open pods.

A Jan. 6 political prisoner, who has been transferred to 26 correctional facilities while in pretrial detention, described what life will look like for Bannon behind the gates of the Connecticut prison.

“If Bannon were to be sent to a U.S. penitentiary, he would be killed, but the low security prison in Danbury is where most prisoners would prefer to do their time,” political prisoner Ryan Samsel told WorldNetDaily in an exclusive interview on a surveilled call from MDC Brooklyn, a prison where inmates are regularly stabbed to death. Biden’s Family Has Rendered Their Decision About Joe’s 2024 Prospects

Not that I was expecting Joe Biden to drop out, but the chatter was becoming deafening among liberal circles. Still, the campaign is in a state of chaos over the president’s disastrous debate, sending unhinged fundraising emails that will indeed create more headaches among Democrats. The day’s message is that Biden is the nominee, and you can do nothing about it. Also, share these trite and laughably false talking points to keep Joe alive politically in 2024.

After Biden’s catastrophic debate against Trump, the president met with his family at Camp David to discuss the way forward. Joe is staying, but one family member was quite adamant that the president does not kowtow to outside pressure and drop out. And this individual wasn’t Jill (via NYT):

President Biden’s family is urging him to stay in the race and keep fighting despite last week’s disastrous debate performance, even as some members of his clan privately expressed exasperation at how he was prepared for the event by his staff, people close to the situation said on Sunday.

Mr. Biden huddled with his wife, children and grandchildren at Camp David while he tried to figure out how to tamp down Democratic anxiety. While his relatives are acutely aware of how poorly he did against former President Donald J. Trump, they argued that he could still show the country that he is capable of serving for another four years.

Mr. Biden has also been soliciting ideas from advisers about how to proceed, and his staff has been discussing whether he should hold a news conference or sit for interviews to defend himself and change the narrative, but nothing has been decided yet. Aides were burning phone lines over the weekend to prevent major elected officials and financial supporters from abandoning him.

One of the strongest voices imploring Mr. Biden to resist pressure to drop out was his son Hunter Biden, whom the president has long leaned on for advice, said one of the people informed about the discussions, who, like others, spoke on condition of anonymity to share internal deliberations. Hunter Biden wants Americans to see the version of his father that he knows — scrappy and in command of the facts — rather than the stumbling, aging president Americans saw on Thursday night.

Does Joe Biden Really Think People Will Believe His New Claim?

. . .During a fundraiser in New Jersey on Saturday, Biden claimed that he won over more undecided voters than former President Donald Trump post his disastrous debate performance.

Biden insisted that the malfunctions he suffered during the 90-minute gaffe-filled debate actually impressed undecided voters rather than deter them from voting for him. . .

“Research during the debate shows us converting more undecided voters than Trump did, in large part because of his conduct on Jan. 6,” Biden told the crowd. “People remember the bad things during his presidency.”

The 81-year-old’s bad debate night prompted the country, including Democrats, to call on Biden to drop out of the race, citing his old age and mental acuity.

First Lady Jill Biden also tried to fool the crowd into thinking her husband was having just one bad night despite him having countless public malfunctions in the past. (Read more from “Does Joe Biden Really Think People Will Believe His New Claim?” HERE)

It Took a War for NATO Members to Actually Take Their Obligations Seriously With Biden at the Helm

Despite President Joe Biden’s claims that he helped strengthen NATO, a transatlantic alliance critically reliant on the U.S., it wasn’t until a war broke out in Eastern Europe that alliance members started taking its defense spending commitments seriously.

Biden has boasted on numerous occasions that he made NATO more powerful than former President Donald Trump did, helping to expand the alliance and restore its reputation on the global stage. But NATO members were spending less on defense under Biden until the Russia-Ukraine war broke out, prompting the alliance to finally increase spending, according to official alliance documents.

Biden claimed during a debate against former President Donald Trump on Thursday that NATO was “strong” under his administration and bragged about how he got “50 other nations around the world to support Ukraine,” warning that Trump would pull out of the alliance if reelected.

His comments echo remarks made weeks and months earlier, in which he claimed his administration was responsible for NATO’s success.

“Trump wants to eviscerate NATO. He thinks NATO is useless,” Biden told Time in an interview in June. “NATO is considerably stronger than it was when I took office. I put it together. Not only did I reestablish the fact that it was the strongest alliance in the history of the world, I was able to expand it.” (Read more from “It Took a War for NATO Members to Actually Take Their Obligations Seriously With Biden at the Helm” HERE)

Supreme Court Jan. 6 Ruling Downgraded ‘Insurrection’ to Mere Trespassing

Constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley opined at the Hill saying that Friday’s Supreme Court decision holding that the most severe law cited in January 6 prosecutions does not apply to riots or protests effectively means that the oft-repeated accusations of “insurrection” have been downgraded to mere trespassing.

As Breitbart News reported this past Friday, the Supreme Court decided in Fischer vs. U.S. that the “Department of Justice had taken too broad a view of [18 U.S.C.] 1512(c)(2), a law that prohibits destruction of evidence but was not intended for protests.”

It should be noted that there is a federal insurrection statute, found at 18 U.S.C. 2383, but few if any January 6 rioters were ever charged with that. Instead, the most serious charge they were hit with was under Section 1512(c)(2), which is about obstructing an official proceeding by destroying or hiding documents meant for use in that proceeding.

“Unless the defendants could be shown to have interfered with the delivery of documents to Congress, they could not be prosecuted under the statute — as hundreds of people, including former President Donald Trump, have been,” noted the report.

Most strikingly, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson — a liberal judge appointed by President Joe Biden — sided with the conservatives, while Justice Amy Coney Barrett, appointed by former President Donald Trump, sided with the liberals. WATCH: Chinese Rocket Crashes Into Mountain After Accidental Launch

A rocket belonging to a Chinese civilian aerospace manufacturer crashed into a mountain after accidentally launching Sunday, the company announced.

Space Pioneer, also known as Beijing Tianbing Technology, was attempting a ground test with their Tianlong-3 rocket when a “structural failure” caused it to separate from the launch pad, a statement obtained by CNN said.

“Due to the structural failure of the connection between the rocket body and the test platform, the first-stage rocket was separated from the launch pad,” the company stated.

“After liftoff, the onboard computer was automatically shut down, and the rocket fell into the deep mountains 1.5 kilometers [0.9 miles] southwest of the test platform. The rocket body fell into the mountain and disintegrated.”

Videos shared on social media by onlookers shows the moment the rocket was launched before falling and causing a fiery explosion:

U.S. Military Bases in Europe Placed on Heightened Security Alert

Several U.S. military bases in European countries such as Germany and Italy were placed on an increased security alert over the weekend.

Bases such as the U.S. Army Garrison in Stuttgart, Germany, the U.S. Army’s Rheinland-Pfalz base, and the U.S. Army’s Ramstein Air Base were among the bases that were placed on a threat level of “Charlie,” according to Stars and Stripes. . .

Other U.S. military bases such as the U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz’s base in Baumholder, Germany, and other military bases in Romania, Bulgaria, and the Aviano Air Base in Italy also increased their threat level to “Charlie.”

The outlet noted that another base in Germany, the Spangdahlem Air Base, directed military members not to wear their uniforms off base, or even when commuting to work. . .

After the Bravo threat level is Charlie, the second highest threat level, which “applies when an incident occurs or intelligence is received” that indicates “some form of terrorist action or targeting against personnel or facilities is likely.” (Read more from “U.S. Military Bases in Europe Placed on Heightened Security Alert” HERE)

Obama Calls Biden’s Catastrophic Debate Performance ‘Bad,’ Urges Voters to Back Prez as He Faces Calls to Step Down

Former President Barack Obama admitted that Joe Biden’s debate performance Thursday night was “bad” — but still urged voters to back his former veep over Donald Trump.

“Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know,” Obama, 62, wrote on X Friday afternoon, referring to his infamous lackluster debate against Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in 2012.

Biden, 81, left much to be desired during Thursday night’s war of words, during which he appeared to freeze at several points and was often mumbling and tripping over phrases.

“But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself,” Obama insisted.

“Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Mother of Slain U.S. Hero Pat Tillman Slams Decision to Honor Prince Harry With Son’s Award: ‘I Am Shocked’

The mother of US hero and former NFL player Pat Tillman slammed ESPN’s decision to honor Prince Harry with the award named after her son.

Mary Tillman said she was never consulted by the sports network to give the Duke of Sussex the Pat Tillman Award, which honors the late NFL safety-turned-Army Ranger who enlisted after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

“I am shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award,” Mary told the Daily Mail.

“There are recipients that are far more fitting,” she added. “There are individuals working in the veteran community that are doing tremendous things to assist veterans.”

The baffled mother also pointed out that Harry is already famous and has received plenty of awards in his life, so ESPN should have chosen someone else who’s never been in the spotlight. New Details Emerge About Biden’s Mental State — and the Steps Staffers Take to Shield the ‘10am to 4pm President’

More questions about President Biden’s cognitive state are emerging as a new poll showed a jaw-dropping 72% of registered voters do not believe he is mentally fit for the job.

While many Democrats were left flabbergasted and sent into a tailspin by Biden’s debate debacle last week, the 81-year-old president’s cognitive slips have been nothing new to his inner circle.

White House aides have been meticulously working behind the scenes throughout his presidency to minimize his exposure to situations where his cognitive slip-ups could flare up in public and to adapt the day-to-day of the presidency to the needs of an octogenarian.

The commander-in-chief is seen as prone to absent-minded gaffes and fatigue outside of six hours a day — between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. — and while traveling abroad, Axios said in a new report.

From shorter stairs when boarding Air Force One to guiding him on jaunts over concerns about his gait and proclivity for appearing lost, his team has reportedly been forced to step up its efforts over time to shield him more and more.
