Tragedy Strikes in North Carolina: US Marshal and Three Officers Killed in Shootout

An ordinary day in a quiet North Carolina neighborhood turned into a scene of horror and tragedy when law enforcement officers were met with a hail of bullets while attempting to serve a warrant. Four officers lost their lives and several others were wounded in the exchange of gunfire.

The incident occurred on Galway Drive, about 20 minutes west of downtown Charlotte, as officers were executing a warrant for a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. What should have been a routine procedure quickly escalated into a violent confrontation.

The initial barrage of bullets claimed the life of the wanted suspect, whose name was not disclosed. However, the danger was far from over. In a cruel twist, a second round of gunfire erupted, catching the officers off guard and resulting in additional casualties.

SWAT teams and patrol units descended on the scene, engaging in a tense standoff that lasted for three hours.

Amidst the chaos, the bravery and sacrifice of the fallen officers stood as a testament to their unwavering commitment to duty. Among them was Officer Joshua Eyer, a decorated member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department who had been named Officer of the Month just weeks prior. His loss was deeply felt by his colleagues and the community he served.

As the investigation unfolds, questions linger about the motives behind the deadly assault. Two individuals, a woman, and a 17-year-old boy, were taken into custody for questioning as persons of interest. Police discovered a high-powered rifle at the scene.

In the aftermath of the shootout, the community came together to mourn the fallen and offer support to the wounded. As Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles aptly stated, the most fitting tribute we can offer is to honor and respect the courageous men and women who put their lives on the line to protect us each day.

Survey Shows Majority of Voters Believe Democrats Utilized ‘Lawfare’ in Trump Trials

Most voters think Democrats are “using the government and legal system in biased ways to” politically damage former President Donald Trump, according to a Harvard-Harris poll.

The poll, published Monday, asked 1,961 registered voter respondents:

Do you think the legal prosecutions of Donald Trump are fair and unrelated to politics, or do you think the Democrats today are engaged in lawfare — a campaign using the government and the legal system in biased ways to take out political opponents?

A majority of 57 percent said they believe Democrats are engaged in “lawfare” against Trump, while 43 percent believe the prosecutions are both fair and apolitical.

Of Republicans, 83 percent think the legal system and government are being used to damage Trump politically, while 31 percent of Democrats and 57 percent of independents feel the same. Conversely, 69 percent of Democrats, 17 percent of Republicans, and 43 percent of independents believe the trials are fair and unrelated to politics. White House Officially Claims Biden Has Made 148 Mistakes During 2024 Public Remarks

White House communications staff has had to correct President Joe Biden’s public remarks at least 148 times since the beginning of 2024, a review of official White House transcripts shows.

The White House releases an official transcript anytime the president gives a speech or takes questions. Communications staff frequently correct, add to or alter Biden’s official remarks in order to either bring them into compliance with official White House policy or, in some cases, reality, a Daily Caller analysis showed. In several cases, official statements had to be changed to convey the exact opposite of what Biden actually said.

Through 118 statements, speeches and chats with reporters spanning from Jan. 1 to April 24, the White House has officially updated its transcript with corrections to what the president said out loud at least 148 times.

Some of the modifications include corrections to names, dates and titles of organizations. Others change verbs and modify the meaning of the president’s statement entirely. Words that the president didn’t say, but should’ve, according to the White House staff, have also been added to the transcripts.

“It was then, through no — through my American Rescue Plan — which every American [Republican] voted against, I might add — we made the largest investment in public safety ever,” the White House transcript of Biden’s March State of the Union address read. Tulsi Gabbard on Whether She’d Accept a Trump VP Offer (VIDEO)

Former U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard indicated to BlazeTV host Dave Rubin that if former President Donald Trump asked her to serve as his 2024 running mate, she would accept the offer.

Gabbard told Rubin, “If that call came I would say yes.”

She indicated that getting the U.S. “back on track” would involve having courageous government figures “who care more about the country than they do about the political elite in Washington, and actually rooting out the deep rot that exists within our bureaucracies, the administrative state, the deep state in Washington.”

BlazeTV host Steve Deace noted in a tweet that Gabbard is his “prediction for Trump’s running mate.”

Gabbard, who served in Congress as a Hawaii Democrat from early 2013 through early 2021, backed Joe Biden in 2020 when she dropped her bid for the Democratic presidential nomination. But she announced in 2022 that she was “leaving the Democratic Party.” (Tulsi Gabbard on Whether She’d Accept a Trump VP Offer (VIDEO)” HERE)

My Daughter Heard ‘Monsters’ in the Wall — What We Discovered Was Something Out of a Horror Movie (VIDEO)

. . .A woman was shocked and revulsed after realizing the “monsters” her daughter had heard were actually a swarm of 50,000 honeybees living in their walls, as detailed in a TikTok video with 9.1 million views.

“What nightmares are made of,” Ashley wrote in the clip’s caption while describing having her house bugged.

The ensuing footage starts out by showing the perspective of a thermal camera pointed at the wall of her daughter’s bedroom, which depicts a large orange swathe created by the hive’s heat.

The filter then lifts to show a large hole in the wall and bees flying around the room like something out of the 1992 supernatural horror flick “Candyman.”

Noem Defends Decision to Kill Dog, Saying She ‘Was Being a Responsible Parent, Dog Owner, and Neighbor’

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem has defended her decision to kill a young dog many years ago.

The Guardian reported that in her forthcoming book, “No Going Back: The Truth on What’s Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward,” Noem recounted the story about the dog, Cricket, that had been around 14 months old.

According to the outlet, Noem recalled that she had taken the dog on a pheasant hunt with older canines, desiring to calm Cricket down and start to teach her how to act. But she was “out of her mind with excitement, chasing all those birds and having the time of her life.”

When Noem stopped to speak to a family after that hunt, the dog escaped from her truck and killed the family’s chickens, “grabb[ing] one chicken at a time, crunching it to death with one bite, then dropping it to attack another,” Noem recounted, according to the outlet. When she grabbed the canine, Cricket “whipped around to bite me,” she noted. Noem cut a check “for the price they asked, and helped them dispose of the carcasses littering the scene of the crime,” she reportedly indicated.

“I hated that dog,” Noem noted, according to the Guardian, which reported that she described the dog as “untrainable,” “dangerous to anyone she came in contact with,” and “less than worthless … as a hunting dog.”

Over Half of Americans Support Mass Deportations of Illegal Aliens (VIDEO)

Just over half of Americans say that they support the mass deportation of illegal immigrants, a recent poll found as the issue takes center stage in the race for the presidency.

A slim majority of Americans, 51 percent, said that they support the mass deportation of illegal immigrants, a policy that former President Donald Trump has promised if he is reelected to the presidency in November. Support for mass deportations varied widely by partisan affiliation, with 68 percent of Republicans, 46 percent of Independents, and 42 percent of Democrats in support of the measure.

The poll of 6,251 people, performed by The Harris Poll on behalf of Axios, found that the Baby Boomer generation was the most likely to support deportations at 60 percent followed by Gen X at 53 percent, Millennials at 48 percent, and Gen Z at 35 percent. It also found that 56 percent of white Americans support the mass deportation of illegal immigrants, followed by 45 percent of Latinos and 40 percent of black Americans.

Americans also explained why they are concerned about illegal immigration, with 21 percent citing increased violence, crime, and drugs, 18 percent pointing to the costs borne by taxpayers, and 17 percent citing risks to our national security.

The Axios poll is just the latest in a growing series of surveys that have found that Biden’s handling of the border is wildly unpopular among voters. Only 20 percent of eligible voters say that the United States has control over its own borders, a recent poll on behalf of Newsweek found. A plurality of all age groups surveyed in the poll agreed.

The Biden Administration’s Latest Move Will Certainly Increase Tensions With Israel

The Biden administration took an unprecedented step this afternoon: they accused the Israeli military of human rights violations. It’s no secret that Joe Biden doesn’t want Israel to defeat Hamas. It will create a domestic headache for him at home, as the Democratic Party base has become increasingly hostile to Israel. Rafah is the last remaining Hamas bastion in Gaza; Israel is going to take it. The longer this war continues, the more incensed young voters, whom Biden cannot lose, become at Israel and the Biden White House. Also, these incidents within the IDF were all allegedly committed before October 7 (via Fox News):

The U.S. found five units of the Israel Defense Forces responsible “for individual incidents of gross violations of human rights,” the State Department announced on Monday – though whether funding to the American ally could be cut over such abuses under the so-called “Leahy Laws” still hangs in the balance.

At a press briefing, State Department principal deputy spokesman Vedant Patel told reporters that the human rights violations happened all before the Oct. 7 attacks by Hamas militants on southern Israel and none happened in Gaza. Four of the units have “effectively remediated,” he said, while the U.S. continues “in consultations and engagements with the government of Israel” on the remaining unit.

“They have submitted additional information as it pertains to that unit. And we’re continuing to have those conversations consistent with the memorandum of understanding that we have with the government of Israel that was entered into in 2021,” he said. “When conclusions are made under actions that fall under the auspices of the Foreign Assistance Act, we are required to consult with officials from the government of Israel, and that is ongoing. We are engaging with them in a process, and we will make an ultimate decision when it comes to that unit when that process is complete.”

Another Ivy League Says They’re Suspending Pro-Hamas Students

As Townhall has been covering, Columbia University threatened and has now gone through with suspending pro-Hamas student agitators setting up encampments on campus. A statement from Cornell University President Martha E. Pollack on Monday signaled that they too will go through with suspending students, as CNN highlighted as part of their live updates. . .

Local news outlet WENY reported that four students were suspended over the encampment on April 26, including PhD student Momodou Taal who has lamented that pro-Hamas agitators on campus have had their visa status threatened. “They have deliberately targeted students with precarious positions such as visa status,” he whined, even though he notes he was given “a grace period.”

His post also contained telling language about the university, such as how “It is clear that they are more concerned with appeasing their Zionist donors and keeping their hands drenched in blood than over the expressed refusal of their students and workers.”

Cornell has recently made headlines in other ways over such concerning protests. Recall that Cornell Professor Russell Rickford shouted over a megaphone that he found the October 7 attack to be “exhilarating” and “energizing.” This took place days after that attack resulted in 1,200 Israelis killed through unspeakable means, including babies and Holocaust survivors. Victims were also tortured, raped, and taken hostage, with many still in captivity. (Read more from “Another Ivy League Says They’re Suspending Pro-Hamas Students” HERE)
