I haven’t followed Sean Combs’ legal troubles very closely, but they appear great enough to force the hip-hop star to flee the country and cause federal agents to search his residences. On Monday afternoon, Homeland Security officers searched his Los Angeles and Miami properties in what officials are saying is in connection to a human trafficking probe. Mr. Combs was the subject of serious allegations of sexual abuse by ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura. . .

Whatever the case, these developments forced Mr. Combs to flee the country. He appears to have taken his Gulfstream to Antigua:

’60 Minutes’ Neglected to Disclose ‘Misinformation’ Researcher’s Government Grants and Donations to Biden

CBS’ “60 Minutes” failed to disclose that a prominent “misinformation” researcher it featured on its Sunday program received funding and collaborated with President Joe Biden’s administration.

University of Washington professor and researcher Kate Starbird was featured on the program about “misinformation” proliferating on social media. Starbird spearheaded a project that Biden’s National Science Foundation (NSF) granted $2.25 million in 2021, and the researcher collaborated with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) by serving on an advisory committee under its Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which CBS did not mention.

“It’s interesting that the people that pushed voter fraud lies are some of the same people that are trying to discredit researchers that are trying to understand the problem,” she said, according to CBS.

The research that the NSF funded “will develop and evaluate ‘rapid response’ methods for studying and communicating about disinformation at a sophistication and pace on par with the dynamic and interdisciplinary nature of the challenge,” the professor said in a press release announcing the NSF grant. Trans-Identifying Male Pleads Guilty to Killing 12-Year-Old Girl ‘Best Friend’

A trans-identifying man from Pennsylvania pleaded guilty on Thursday to killing a 12-year-old girl in 2022.

Joshua Cooper, now 18 and who identifies as female and goes by Ash, admitted to killing the young girl, Morgan Connors, his “best friend,” while they were watching Netflix together.

Cooper pleaded guilty to several charges including third-degree murder, possession of an instrument of crime, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

A Bucks County judge on Thursday sentenced Cooper to 15 to 40 years in jail followed by seven years of state supervised probation.

Also on Thursday, authorities revealed Cooper was adjudicated delinquent, the same as a guilty verdict in adult court, in a previous unrelated sexual assault case before the murder, the Bucks County Courier Times reported. The victim in the sexual assault case was in the courtroom on Thursday and provided a victim impact statement to the judge. City to Give Illegal Alien Families Debit Cards for Food, Baby Supplies

New York City will give debit cards to migrant families for food and baby supplies.

The first cards will be distributed to families on Monday, sparking fear that the new program could lead to fraud or abuse as well as speculation that the city will be prioritizing migrants over current citizens. As many 180,000 migrants have arrived in the city over the last two years with 65,000 now in shelters.

“A family of four is expected to receive up to $350 per week under the program, which will last six weeks, city officials said. The program will begin with 10 families on Monday, expanding to about 115 families, or roughly 450 people, over the next week,” noted the New York Times.

Democrat Mayor Eric Adams has defended the program, saying it will simultaneously feed migrants at a low cost while fueling money back into the local economy. Cards will be distributed at the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan, the city’s arrival center, for families staying in hotels under a 28-day voucher program. Cards will be loaded with one week of funds. Netanyahu Scraps White House Meeting Following Biden White House UN Resolution Debacle

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu canceled a meeting between his advisers and White House officials on Monday after the Biden administration let an anti-Israel resolution pass at the United Nations Security Council.

The U.S. abstained on UNSC Resolution 2728, which it could have vetoed by voting against it. The resolution calls for an “immediate ceasefire” in the war between Israel and Hamas for the last two weeks of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. However, it does not condemn Hamas for its October 7 terror attack — something the United Nations has yet to do — and does not condition a ceasefire on the release of the remaining 134 Israeli hostages still held in Gaza.

The U.S. had previously sought to make a ceasefire conditional on the release of hostages. Demanding a ceasefire before the release of hostages effectively allows Hamas to survive — and to win the war — while keeping its captives.

Last week, the White House demanded that Israel send representatives to Washington to consult about Israel’s plans to enter Rafah, a city in the southern Gaza Strip near the Egyptian border, to attack Hamas’s last stronghold there. Netanyahu responded by naming his strategic affairs minister, Ron Dermer, and his national security adviser, Tzachi Hanegbi, to attend talks this week — though he stressed that Israel would still attack Hamas in Rafah, regardless. Secretaries of State Won’t Explain ‘Coordinated’ Effort to Fight ‘Common Adversary’ in 2024

Several secretaries of state in key battlegrounds will not disclose what their apparent plans for a “coordinated” effort to fight a “common adversary” entail ahead of the 2024 election, despite repeated inquiries from The Federalist.

Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson recently revealed what she described as a mass collaboration between six battleground states.

“One of the things we saw in 2020 was that particularly in battleground states, we were all battling a common adversary: a really nationally coordinated effort to undermine the will of the people both before, during, and after Election Day,” Benson said during an interview with Meidas Touch.

“And we learned to semi-coordinate with each other in ’20. Katie Hobbs and I, she was secretary of Arizona at the time, she and I were friends and we would talk regularly. But there was really no way for us to consistently as a team, the six of us in those six battleground states — Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Nevada and Georgia — to constantly both compare notes and also say, OK, how we are going to respond to this nationally coordinated effort with a coordinated response,” Benson said. “So now we have that. We actually spent 2022 working to build that team in these six states.”

To Stop the Border Invasion, Get Tough on Mexico

A group of several hundred illegal immigrants forcibly pushed past Texas National Guard troops on Thursday in El Paso, Texas, breaking through razor wire and assaulting guardsmen as they forcibly rushed a border gate.

Video of the clash, which was filmed by reporters from the New York Post, quickly went viral. It shows the crowd of migrants, all of them adult men, at first putting their hands up as they crowd around a small group of Texas guardsmen trying to block an opening in the fence the migrants had created. After what appears to be a brief physical altercation, the crowd rushes past the guardsmen. The Post reporter at the scene described it as a “riot.” . . .

What can be done to stop this? In the near term, mostly nothing. The riotous scenes at the border, the millions of illegal immigrants processed and released into the country by federal immigration authorities, the chaos of homeless illegal immigrants camped out on the streets of major American cities — all of these were totally predictable policy outcomes that the Biden administration knew would happen. They did it anyway, and they will probably not do anything to stop it.

But even if the Biden administration recognized that the border invasion might be a political liability going into the November presidential election, the steps required to bring the situation under control at this point are so drastic that there’s almost no chance the Biden White House would even consider them.

The key thing to understand about the crisis is that it’s being managed by Mexican cartels, along with their partners inside the Mexican government, as a for-profit enterprise. Under Biden, the cartels have turned illegal immigration into big business, a massive black market in which every illegal immigrant who crosses the border represents a source of income for the cartels. They are all being trafficked, in other words. It is not too much to say the cartels are running slave markets, as my friend Joshua Treviño did in these pages recently, “in which children are bought and sold to increase the chances that the norteamericanos will admit a supposed family unit, and also to provide supply to the vile and ravenous market in sex.” (Read more from “To Stop the Border Invasion, Get Tough on Mexico” HERE)

Driver, 18, Going 112 Mph Kills Mother and 3 Kids After T-Boning Minivan

An 18-year-old motorist is facing homicide charges for the deaths of a Washington state mother and three of the kids she was ushering around after he allegedly drove his Audi A4 more than 100 miles per hour into their minivan, prosecutors said.

Chase Daniel Jones is accused of killing the 38-year-old mom, Andrea Hudson, as well as Boyd Buster Brown, 12, and sisters Matilda Wilcoxson, 13, and Eloise Wilcoxson, 12 after he barreled into their vehicle, pushing it into another two cars on the road, officials said.

Two of Hudson’s children who were also in the minivan were hospitalized and remain in intensive care.

Jones — who was badly injured — allegedly blew through a red light at an intersection where the crash happened on Tuesday in the community of Fairwood, a King County sheriff official said in a police report obtained by the Seattle Times.

Supreme Court To Hear Major Case On The Abortion Pill

The Supreme Court will hear on Tuesday a major challenge to the abortion pill brought by doctors and medical associations.

In FDA v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, one of two cases on abortion the Supreme Court will hear this term since overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022, the justices will consider the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) decision to roll back safety regulations for the chemical abortion drug mifepristone. Doctors who sued the FDA contend that the removal of safety standards once deemed “essential” makes it more likely women will require medical treatment, forcing OB-GYNs and emergency room doctors to address the “serious complications caused by these drugs.”

“My moral and ethical obligation to my patients is to promote human life and health,” Dr. Ingrid Skop, a member of the plaintiff organization American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AAPLOG), wrote in a declaration. “But the FDA’s actions may force me to end the life of a human being in the womb for no medical reason.”

In 2021, the FDA allowed distribution of mifepristone through the mail and removed the requirement for an initial in-person visit. Earlier, in 2016, the agency removed many of the safeguards implemented when the pill was approved in 2000, allowing it to be used through ten weeks of pregnancy, rather than seven. Actor ‘Kicked Off’ Flight for Refusing to Sit Next to Masked Passenger

Forrie J. Smith claimed he was kicked off a flight after refusing to be seated next to a passenger wearing a face mask.

The “Yellowstone” actor was stranded in a Houston, Texas airport when he shared his story on an Instagram video for his half-a-million followers.

“You need to hear this story,” he captioned the short clip alongside the hashtags #cowboy #country #western #yellowstone #yellowstonetv.

“You know my social media people tell me that you like me face to face, but you know what I can’t say face to face what I want,” Smith started.

“I just got kicked off a plane, and … where the hell am I at – Houston, Texas – because I told them I didn’t feel comfortable sitting next to somebody with a mask on.”
