President Joe Biden told donors in Weston, Massachusetts, Tuesday that if former President Donald Trump were not running for reelection in 2024, he would probably not seek another four years.
Biden suggested in 2019 that he would not run for reelection if he won the 2020 election, but according to his Tuesday remarks, it seems Biden believes he is the only Democrat who can defeat Trump.
“If Trump wasn’t running, I’m not sure I’d be running,” Biden said, adding that Democrats “cannot let him [Trump] win.”
Biden also tried to claim that Trump’s 2024 agenda, such as curtailing the administrative state or cutting red tape to energy independence, is dangerous.

Paxton’s lawsuit alleges that Pfizer violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, claiming that Pfizer “engaged in false, deceptive, and misleading acts and practices by making unsupported claims.”
Three weeks after Paxton had initially announced the investigation, he was impeached.

Then-Vice President Joe Biden apparently used a pseudonym to exchange more than 50 emails with one of Hunter Biden’s business associates, newly released emails show.
Joe Biden sent 54 private emails to Hunter Biden’s close business associate and accountant, Eric Schwerin, by using the “Robin Ware” alias, according to an email search released Tuesday by the House Ways and Means Committee. The email data was provided to the committee by IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler, who testified Tuesday behind closed doors alongside IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley.
Many of Joe Biden’s email conversations with Schwerin happened around spring 2014, when Hunter Biden joined the board of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma Holdings, the documents show.
Before Joe Biden went to Ukraine in June 2014, he emailed Schwerin five times, and afterwards the pair emailed 27 times, according to the Ways and Means Committee. The sitting vice president traveled to Ukraine again in November 2014, when he was the Obama administration’s point man on Ukraine issues.

It seems that former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is bounding ahead in a hypothetical matchup with Joe Biden. Although Haley has not been able to make significant headway against Republican front-runner Donald Trump, who is now polling over 60% as his party’s preferred presidential candidate in the primaries, Haley would beat Biden by the largest margin among active Republican candidates — possibly by as much as 10 points. . .
Haley has been doing her publicity with massive assistance from the Republican-neoconservative establishment. The Wall Street Journal has all but endorsed her already. The New York Post and the rest of the Murdoch media empire can’t say enough nice things about her. In fact, they can’t mention her without lapsing into spasms of rapture while railing against Trump.
I recently listened to a conversation on Fox News between former U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and Republican consultant Karl Rove. It was hard to tell which mood was more dominant in this animated conversation: profound loathing for Trump or blissful adoration of Haley. The two dispositions usually coexist in Haley’s fans, who view her as the top-drawer candidate for anti-Trump Republicans. . .
The coup is being engineered with noticeable support from socially liberal business tycoons and Democratic donors who support a neocon foreign policy coupled with corporate tax cuts. (What else is new?) Haley’s campaign is starting to look like a takeover by wealthy members of the center left.
It’s also hard not to notice that Haley has spent years giving herself a biographical and ideological makeover. Although she started out politically as a white Southern Evangelical of Indian ancestry, in recent years, she has dwelled on her traumatic youth as “a little brown girl” whose Sikh father wore a turban and tried to preserve his Indian identity. Haley also went from honoring her South Carolina background to more recently criticizing her one-time white neighbors as bigots. Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that he doubted President Joe Biden would be the Democratic Party’s nominee for the 2024 election.
Trump expressed his doubts during a Tuesday evening town hall held in Davenport, Iowa, hosted by Fox News host Sean Hannity. “I personally don’t think he makes it,” Trump told Hannity.
“Okay, I haven’t said that, I’m saving it for this big town hall,” Trump continued. “I personally don’t think so. I think he’s in bad shape physically. Remember when he said I’d like to take him behind the barn? If he took me behind the barn and I went like this [blows], I believe he would fall over. I believe he would fall over.”
Biden has suffered some falls, including one at the Air Force Academy on June 1. He also fell down while on his bike in June 2022 and stumbled on the steps of Air Force One on two occasions. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin warned Congress on Tuesday during a private briefing that if they do not pass more aid to Ukraine, it would “very likely” lead to U.S. troops fighting a war in Europe.
“If [Vladimir] Putin takes over Ukraine, he’ll get Moldova, Georgia, then maybe the Baltics,” House Foreign Affairs Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) told The Messenger, after Austin and other senior Biden administration officials briefed House lawmakers on their request for more aid for Ukraine.
“And then the idea that we’ll have to put troops on the ground in Secretary Austin’s word was very likely,” McCaul added. “That’s what we’re trying to avoid.”
The Messenger reported that the warning “did little” to win over Republican skeptics, who oppose more aid to Ukraine without more accountability and transparency on how it will help Ukraine.

The two separate speeches delivered on Sunday and Tuesday highlighted the regime’s emphasis on mothers indoctrinating their children into communism, with Kim asserting that without mothers adopting communist values, it would be impossible to raise children as dedicated revolutionaries.
Kim’s call for mothers to fulfill their government requirement to “become communist” was coupled with an acknowledgment of the country’s declining birth rate, a topic rarely addressed by the secretive regime. The leader urged women to procreate more assertively, framing it as a patriotic duty and a contribution to the strengthening of the nation.
North Korea is grappling with one of the lowest fertility rates globally, hovering around 1.8 children per woman, well below the 2.1 required for “replacement fertility.” South Korean government officials suggest that Kim’s conference aimed at preventing a similar birth rate decline in North Korea, potentially by preventing ideological deviations among the younger generation and reinforcing the regime’s control through family education.
However, skepticism persists regarding the effectiveness of such measures, given the dire economic conditions in North Korea. Many families in the country struggle to meet basic needs, and concerns about raising children in the face of poverty contribute to the reluctance to have more than one child. Catholic leaders slammed the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday after the House Judiciary Committee discovered federal agents interviewed a priest and a choir director as part of an investigation into so-called Radical-Traditional Catholics as potential domestic terrorists.
“The latest revelations only raise more questions about the illegitimate targeting of Catholics by the FBI,” CatholicVote President Brian Burch told The Daily Wire in an emailed statement. “We now know that the FBI effort involved at least four field offices, authorized the use of undercover agents to infiltrate Catholic parishes, and used a Catholic priest and a choir director to inform on one of their parishioners.”
The House Judiciary Committee and the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government launched an investigation into the FBI earlier this year after former agent-turned-whistleblower Kyle Seraphin leaked an internal memo from the bureau’s Richmond Field Office, which painted certain “radical-traditionalist Catholics” as violent extremists and proposed opportunities for the FBI to infiltrate Catholic churches as a form of “threat mitigation.”
“Despite every effort to downplay the significance of this abuse of power, the FBI still owes Catholics and all concerned Americans answers as to who was behind the effort to spy on Catholics, how far and wide this effort went inside the FBI, whether it is ongoing, and whether anyone has been held accountable,” Burch added. Representatives and witnesses highlighted concerns for girls and women during a contentious hearing on Tuesday challenging the Biden administration’s proposed changes to Title IX, which would effectively broaden the definition of sex to include “gender identity.”
The proposed changes would rewrite Title IX in such a way that policies banning biological males who identify as trans from competing with or against females would now be in violation of law. Issuing such sex distinctions to protect girls sports, therefore, could strip a school of its funding. The rule would be applied to public K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and other institutions that receive federal funding.
The hearing opened with a rather fiery interaction between former NCAA swimmer-turned-advocate Riley Gaines and Democratic Rep. Summer Lee (PA), who preemptively suggested Gaines and other witnesses’ testimonies would be “transphobic” and filled with “hateful misinformation.”
“And Ranking Member Lee, if my testimony makes me transphobic, then I believe you’re opening monologue makes you a misogynist,” Gaines said in closing her opening statement.
Lee interrupted the next witness to ask to have Gaines’ words taken down. Gaines chimed in, “Can I just ask, how it’s fair to be called transphobic —” before Lee interjected, “I never called you anything.”
