Trump Freezes All Immigration From Somalia Amid Massive Fraud Scandal

The State Department is freezing all immigration from Somalia after an internal investigation found that the “vast majority of Somali migrants take welfare once present in the United States,” the Daily Caller has learned.

The freeze is expected to remain in place while the State Department reassesses immigration processing procedures. The effort is meant to “prevent the entry of foreign nationals who would become a public charge on the American people,” the State Department shared with the Caller.

The State Department will freeze immigration from approximately 75 countries, including Somalia, on Jan. 21.

“Under President Trump, we will not allow aliens to abuse America’s immigration system and exploit the generosity of the American people. For years, foreign nationals from Somalia have entered the United States and extracted wealth from the American taxpayer, including by taking welfare at obscene rates,” Deputy Principal Spokesperson Tommy Pigott told the Caller.

“The Trump administration is exercising the State Department’s long-standing authority to end this abuse of our immigration system,” he added. (Read more from “Trump Freezes All Immigration From Somalia Amid Massive Fraud Scandal” HERE)

Dan Bongino Reveals What Triggered Viral Post About Being ‘Shocked’ To His ‘Core’ At FBI

Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino recounted on “The Vince Show” Monday reading documents that led him to make a viral July 2025 X post about being “shocked” to his “core.”

Bongino wrote in the post, which garnered 20.5 million views, that he would “never be the same” following the revelations in the documents. He told host Vince Coglianese, who is also the Daily Caller’s editorial director and host of “The Vince Coglianese Show,” that he was reading Crossfire Hurricane documents on a Friday night.

“It was basically about Crossfire. I was just reading some stuff about Crossfire,” Bongino said. “And … I was blown away … I lived in this kind of tiny apartment in D.C., … And I’m sitting there and I’m thinking to myself, ‘I couldn’t believe it happened here.’ You know, Vince, like having been a Secret Service agent, a police officer, and I hadn’t been in the FBI role that long, but it had been a few months.”

“I just thought, gosh, these guardrails just broke down because of people. People are guardrails, not robots … And I was just stunned at how many people just let this — just the incredibly poor decision-making,” he added. “It blew my mind … I got up the next day and I just fired that out … I was really shaken by the whole thing, how these guardrails broke down so quickly. It was astonishing. And I was — oh boy. Even now talking about it, I just remember that feeling. Like, oh my gosh, did this really happen? Yeah, that’s what that was about.”

Crossfire Hurricane was the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign regarding allegations of Russian collusion. (Read more from “Dan Bongino Reveals What Triggered Viral Post About Being ‘Shocked’ To His ‘Core’ At FBI” HERE)

Renee Good’s Former Father-in-Law: ‘I Don’t Blame ICE’ for Her Death

Timmy Macklin, father-in-law of Renee Good, said he doesn’t blame Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for her death.

Macklin called the shooting of his former daughter-in-law a “hard situation all around” and said that “some bad choices” were made, during an interview with CNN on Tuesday.

“I don’t blame ICE. I don’t blame [Good’s “wife”] Rebecca. I don’t blame Renee,” he told Erin Burnett. “I just wish that, you know, if we’re walking in the spirit of God, I don’t think she would have been there. That’s the way I look at it.”

Macklin’s son had previously been married to Good before he died in 2023. The two share a now six-year-old son. Macklin described his former daughter-in-law as “an amazing person” and “good mother.”

“I just think we make bad choices, and that’s the problem, there is so much chaos in the whole world today,” he said. “We need to turn to God and walk in the spirit of God and let him lead us and guide us.”

Report: U.S. Military Intervention in Iran Could Begin Within 24 Hours — Bases Pull Personnel, Shift Posture Across Region

President Donald Trump is weighing imminent military action against Iran that could come “in the next 24 hours,” according to a Reuters report citing European officials, as the Pentagon begins pulling personnel from key U.S. bases across the Middle East and Tehran warns it would retaliate if Washington strikes.

The Reuters report, published Wednesday, said two European officials assessed U.S. military intervention now appeared likely, with one saying it could come within the next 24 hours, while an Israeli official similarly said it appeared Trump had made a decision to intervene — though the scope and timing remained unclear.

The determination came as the United States began withdrawing some personnel from bases in the region, a move the report said was widely viewed as preparation for possible strikes.

A U.S. official said the drawdown involved a precautionary removal of personnel from key bases given heightened regional tensions following warnings from a senior Iranian official that Iran would strike American bases in neighboring countries if the U.S. targets Iran.

That senior Iranian official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Tehran had warned regional states — including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey — that U.S. bases on their territory would be attacked if Washington launches strikes, while urging those countries to pressure Washington to stand down.

University Under Fire for Researcher Comment Calling for Assassination of Conservatives

The University of Washington is investigating comments made by a researcher who posted on social media, allegedly calling for the assassination of conservative voices.

Mara Maughan, who uses she/they pronouns according to her bio on the UW Fuller Labs website, is labeled as an RSE1 under the Department of Microbiology’s “research and lab staff.”

“May there be tyler robinsons for you all,” Maughan posted on Facebook in a comment directed at Educational Freedom Institute Executive Director Corey DeAngelis. . .

DeAngelis had posted a clip of a Democratic state senator in Washington state with the caption, “he can’t acknowledge that there are biological differences between men and women.”

“This kind of violent rhetoric from Mara Maughan and far too many others on the left — wishing for assassins to target conservatives like me and my family — absolutely concerns me, as it not only normalizes political violence but fuels a dangerous environment where radical ideologies in academia and beyond threaten our freedoms and safety without accountability,” DeAngelis told Fox News Digital. Trump Tells Iranian Protesters ‘Help Is on the Way,’ Cancels Talks as Crackdown Intensifies

President Donald Trump issued one of his strongest public statements yet in support of anti-regime protesters in Iran as reports of a sweeping government crackdown continue to emerge, including mass arrests, executions, and rising civilian deaths.

As demonstrations against Iran’s ruling theocracy intensify, Trump announced that he has canceled all talks with Iranian officials, warned that those responsible for killing protesters will face consequences, and urged demonstrators to continue resisting the regime.

Posting Tuesday on Truth Social, Trump directly addressed Iranians taking part in the protests, encouraging them to persist and document abuses committed by government forces.

“Iranian patriots, keep protesting — take over your institutions,” Trump wrote, adding that protesters should record the names of those responsible for violence against civilians. He warned that those individuals “will pay a big price.”

Trump also said that diplomatic engagement with Tehran has been halted until the government ends its violent response to the demonstrations. “I have canceled all meetings with Iranian officials until the senseless killing of protesters stops,” he said, assuring demonstrators that “help is on its way.”

Later the same day, Trump repeated and expanded on his remarks during public comments in Detroit, Michigan, where he spoke after touring a Ford truck plant in nearby Dearborn. While the event was billed as an economic appearance, Trump addressed the unrest in Iran directly, emphasizing that his message was intentional and deliberate.

“To all Iranian patriots, keep protesting,” Trump said. “Take over your institutions if possible, and save the names of the killers and the abusers that are abusing you.”
He stressed that even a single death during the crackdown was unacceptable. “One death is too much,” Trump said, again warning that those responsible would face severe consequences.

Trump also referenced new tariffs and economic penalties targeting individuals and entities doing business with Iran, describing them as part of a broader effort to pressure the regime while supporting the Iranian people.

Closing his remarks, Trump called on Iranians to reclaim their country, saying Iran had once been a great nation before falling under the control of its current rulers. He urged protesters to continue pushing for change, invoking his slogan “Make Iran Great Again.”

The statements come as U.S. officials have advised Americans to leave Iran, citing deteriorating security conditions as protests continue and reports of mass detentions and executions circulate.

Passengers Left Horrified After Screams Erupt From Beneath Taxiing Plane

Passengers aboard an Air Canada flight departing Toronto last month were left shaken after terrifying screams suddenly echoed from beneath the cabin as the aircraft taxied toward the runway.

The incident occurred on Dec. 13 aboard Air Canada Flight 1502, an Airbus aircraft preparing to fly from Toronto Pearson International Airport to Moncton, New Brunswick. The plane, which was carrying 184 passengers, had begun taxiing when passengers near the rear of the cabin reported hearing muffled banging and desperate screams coming from below.

According to local outlet CBC, a ground crew member had become trapped inside the aircraft’s cargo hold after the doors reportedly closed unintentionally while the plane was on the ground.

Passengers said the disturbing noises quickly drew attention, prompting flight attendants to rush toward the back of the aircraft as concern spread through the cabin.
“Some of the people that were sitting towards the back of the plane heard the person screaming and banging, trying to get their attention,” passenger Gabrielle Caron told CBC.

Caron said passengers could see activity outside the aircraft as crew members gathered near the plane, signaling that something was wrong. Shortly afterward, the pilot informed passengers that a member of the ground crew was trapped in the luggage compartment.

The aircraft was stopped before reaching the runway. Moments later, the trapped worker safely exited the cargo hold and entered the cabin, reassuring passengers that he was not injured.

Air Canada confirmed that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

According to Caron, the crew member had been helping load items into the cargo hold as an extra set of hands and may not have been accounted for when the doors were closed.

Trump Responds to Shouting Protester During Michigan Auto Plant Tour

President Donald Trump was caught on video appearing to mouth an expletive and make an obscene gesture toward a heckler during a visit to a Ford factory in Michigan Tuesday, a moment the White House later defended as an “appropriate and unambiguous response.”

The video, first published by TMZ, shows Trump briefly turning toward someone shouting from the crowd as he walked through the Ford River Rouge complex in Dearborn.

In the video, Trump appears to mouth the words “f— you” twice and gestures with his middle finger.

TMZ reported that the exchange followed a heckler shouting an insult at the president off camera. The outlet described Trump’s reaction as “flipping the bird” while continuing to walk away.

White House communications director Steven Cheung defended the president’s reaction, telling Fox News Digital, “A lunatic was wildly screaming expletives in a complete fit of rage, and the President gave an appropriate and unambiguous response.” (Read more from “Trump Responds to Shouting Protester During Michigan Auto Plant Tour” HERE)

Pentagon Increases Airstrikes as Terrorists Pose ‘Direct Threat’ to American Safety

The U.S. stepped up airstrikes in Somalia in January, targeting al-Shabab and the local affiliate of the Islamic State group, ISIS, according to U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM).

In a Jan. 12 release, AFRICOM said U.S. forces, working with the Somali federal government, carried out airstrikes against al-Shabab militants.

AFRICOM said the operation was part of ongoing efforts to “degrade the group’s ability to threaten the U.S. homeland, U.S. forces and Americans overseas.”

Airstrikes against ISIS—Somalia were also reported on Jan. 11 and Jan. 9 in northern Somalia, including the Golis Mountains region of Puntland, southeast of Bosaso.

Additional airstrikes targeting al-Shabab were reported on Jan. 8, including one in the vicinity of Buur Heybo, about 154 kilometers northwest of Mogadishu. (Read more from “Pentagon Increases Airstrikes as Terrorists Pose ‘Direct Threat’ to American Safety” HERE)

Renee Nicole Good’s Family Forces Denial of Online Rumors She Had Criminal History

The family of Renee Good, who was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis last week after clipping him with her SUV, was forced to address unsubstantiated rumors she had a lengthy rap sheet in an emotional plea.

“I’ve been pretty quiet about this, because I wanted to wait until our family could piece together a statement… and it is finally published,” Good’s sister-in-law Morgan Fletcher wrote on Facebook Monday.

“You never think the passing of a loved one will be high profile… or a massively divisive, political topic,” she said.

“We are grieving. Heavily. And yes, we see everyone’s posts and comments. Some in support but also, the nasty ones ripping apart our beautiful and beloved Renee. And we’ve seen the false claims and the wrong Renee Good’s info being posted (criminal history? She didn’t have one.)”

The Post has found no evidence that Good has any criminal history, but a widely-spread image on social media, complete with a possibly AI-generated mugshot, lists numerous bogus criminal charges and arrests dating back to 2022.
