The red-blue showdown policy wonks have been waiting for is happening.

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis will square off with California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom in a debate hosted by Fox News host Sean Hannity on Nov. 30, the network announced Monday.

The made-for-cable-news-event will take place at a location to be determined in the swing state of Georgia.

The two governors have taunted and circled each other for months. Back in June, Hannity pitched a verbal bout between the two political titans during an interview with Newsom and the pair quickly signed on in public while their teams hashed out the details behind the scenes.

After Canada’s Parliament Cheers Nazi Veteran, ‘Upset’ Trudeau Blames ‘Russian Propaganda’ (VIDEO)

After his country’s parliament gave a World War II Ukrainian veteran an ovation, only to learn later that he was part of the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS, the military wing of the Nazi Party, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spent time focusing on “Russian propaganda” and “Russian disinformation.”

The ovation for Yaroslav Hunka came during a session in which President Volodomyr Zelensky of Ukraine addressed the Canadian Parliament to thank Canada for its support. The speaker of the House of Commons, Anthony Rota, then recognized 98-year-old Yaroslav Hunka, who fought the Russians in World War II. Hunka was a member of the First Ukrainian Division in World War II, which was also known as he 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS, aka SS Galichina,

“Division members are accused of killing Polish and Jewish civilians, although the unit has not been found guilty of any war crimes by a tribunal,” the BBC reported. . .

“Obviously it’s extremely upsetting that this happened,” Trudeau commented. “The speaker has acknowledged his mistake and has apologized. New Law Requires Schools to Have Gender Neutral Restroom

A new California law will require all of the state’s public schools to soon have a gender-neutral bathroom.

Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom signed the law on Saturday.

Under the new bathroom law, public schools teaching first through 12th grade must have at least one gender-neutral bathroom available for students by 2026.

California already requires K-12 public schools to allow students to use the bathroom of the opposite sex if it matches their gender identity, due to a 2013 law.

Woman Found in Alligator’s Jaws Was Arrested for Trespassing Two Months Ago

The woman whose lifeless body was found clenched between a 14-foot alligator’s jaws was arrested just two months earlier for trespassing on county wetland property.

Sabrina Peckham, 41, was identified by police Saturday as the victim being dragged by the beast in a canal along a residential street in Largo, a small community just four miles south of Clearwater.

The homeless woman was caught by Pinellas County deputies around 6:30 a.m. on July 14 for trespassing onto county wetland just half a mile from where she was found dead Friday, court records show.

Peckman ignored posted signage warning against unlaw entry.

Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) claimed Monday morning he has withdrawn “thousands of dollars in cash” over the past three decades after federal prosecutors indicted him on bribery allegations following the purported discovery of $480,000 in cash and more than $100,000 in gold bars during a search of his home last summer.

Menendez’s claim came during a press conference that New Jersey.com noted was at the Hudson Community College Union City, New Jersey, campus. Notably, the community college is situated in New Jersey’s Eighth Congressional District, which his son, Rep. Bob Menendez (D-NJ), represents.

“For 30 years, I have withdrawn thousands of dollars in cash from my personal savings account, which I have kept for emergencies and because of the history of my family facing confiscation in Cuba,” Menendez, who has called the allegations “baseless,” claimed in his first public appearance since the indictment.

“Now, this may seem old-fashioned, but these were monies drawn from my personal savings account, based on the income that I have lawfully derived over those 30 years,” he added:

When Democrats Are Fed up With Joe Biden, You Know It’s Bad

President Joe Biden’s open border policies are no longer angering just Republicans; the Democratic Party is also fed up with hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants flooding the U.S.

The Democratic mayor of Eagle Pass, Texas— where thousands of illegal aliens are being apprehended daily— criticized Biden’s unwillingness to secure the border, saying that his town has been “abandoned” by the federal government.

Over the weekend, Rolando Salinas told CNN that no one but Biden is to blame for the unprecedented surge of illegal migrants at the southern border after 5,000 illegal aliens crossed the border town from Mexico over just five days.

‘Utter Contempt for Democracy’: Tulsi Gabbard Destroys Her Former Party Over Trump Prosecution

Former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who recently split with the Democratic Party, unloaded on her former colleagues over the persistent prosecutions of former President Donald Trump.

Gabbard shared a brief video via X, arguing that the prosecutions amounted to a concerted effort — on the parts of both President Joe Biden specifically and the Democratic Party in general — to keep Trump busy and distracted because they were afraid he could potentially win in 2024. . .

Parent Speaks Out Against Middle School’s Explicit Reading List

Cooper Middle School in McClean, Virginia, gave students an age- inappropriate reading list for their 7th grade English class this year, a concerned parent told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Students in the English class were assigned a wide variety of books on topics that spanned from illegal immigration to Black Lives Matter (BLM), according to a copy of the list. Although the reading list clarifies that students will not have to read every single book, one teacher at the middle school said students would have to choose books to read from the provided options unless a parent offered an alternate, school-approved book, an orientation video welcoming students to the class showed.

“The first time I got this syllabus was after the open house,” “Jane,” a parent who immigrated to the U.S. from Communist China and who requested anonymity so her child would not be bullied by teachers and students in the class, told the DCNF. “I didn’t think much of it at the time because I thought it was about teaching English. But. . . when I saw the second page, there were some words that looked completely unrelated.”

The list specifies eight core concepts the students will study by reading a “variety of books” over the course of the year to “challenge” them and let them “explore universal concepts”: Identity, community, the unknown, loyalty, justice, ethics, perspective and change. Students received slightly different book assignments depending on if they were in the honors-level course or regular English, but both lists contained controversial books with explicit sexual or violent content. Bob Menendez Hires Hunter Biden’s Lawyer for Federal Corruption Case

Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) has hired the lawyer representing President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, after Menendez was indicted last week on federal corruption charges.

CNBC reported that Menendez hired Abbe Lowell to represent him in the case — the same lawyer that he hired in 2015 to represent him in a similar corruption case, although legal experts have said that the evidence in the current case is much stronger.

Lowell was hired by Hunter Biden after his plea deal fell apart in federal court last month which eventually led to prosecutors charging Hunter Biden on firearm-related charges.

The federal indictment was unsealed against Menendez on Friday, and it accused the senator and his wife of accepting bribes from three business people in exchange for actions that he took as chairman of the powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
