Bromance: Years of Emails Between Jeffery Epstein and JPMorgan Exec Show Cozy Relationship

Former JPMorgan Exec Jes Staley described his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as “profound.”

Years of email correspondence between Staley and the late Epstein have been scrutinized as Staley faces lawsuits from JPMorgan and the British regulatory probe, Bloomberg reported.

Two months after Jeffrey Epstein was registered as a sex offender in 2011, Staley wrote him an email expressing his gratitude for their friendship.

“You have paid a price for what has been accused,” Staley wrote. “But we know what you have done for us. And we count you as one of our deepest friends. And most honest of people.”

Staley worked for JPMorgan for more than 30 years until departing in 2013, and Epstein had been a client of the bank since 1998. In 2004, Epstein helped Staley land a $7 billion stake in a hedge fund known as Highbridge Capital Management. This boosted Staley’s career at the bank. Veteran Feds Cry Foul on White House Cocaine Probe: ‘This Is a Cover-Up’

The conclusion of an 11-day Secret Service probe that failed to find which White House staff member or visitor left cocaine in the West Wing looks like a whitewash, former federal investigators told The Post Thursday.

“This is a cover-up. How can they say they have no leads?” one ex-agent said. “It is a restricted area and they have a log book, you don’t have to be Columbo to figure out who was there.

“Suppose it was anthrax,” the same person raged. “Would they have the same answer?”

“We have a tale of two countries,” another former fed said. “They identified hundreds of people who were in the Capitol building on Jan. 6 after an extensive investigation, but they don’t know who left something in an 8 x 10 room in the White House?”

The Secret Service concluded its inquiry Thursday without identifying a suspect, citing “a lack of physical evidence” after FBI forensic testing yielded no fingerprints and insufficient DNA evidence. (Read more from “Veteran Feds Cry Foul on White House Cocaine Probe: ‘This Is a Cover-Up’” HERE)

Hunter Informant Charges Make Anti-Biden Case ‘Stronger’: McCarthy

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) argued Thursday that the unsealing of an indictment against a key informant in the Hunter Biden investigation only buttresses Republicans’ case against the first son.

Democrats have needled the GOP over the indictment of Gal Luft on eight counts — including acting as an unregistered foreign agent of Beijing — by suggesting Republicans got taken by a fugitive out to save himself by leveling wild accusations against the first family.

“It wouldn’t undermine that case because if you extrapolate that even further, the Justice Department went after him,” McCarthy told reporters. “Well, Hunter Biden received more money from the same foreign CEFC company than this informant did.

“So it would only make the case stronger that the government didn’t look at the Hunter Biden [situation].”

McCarthy’s assertion echoes that of House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) who highlighted the first son’s dealings with the Chinese energy conglomerate after the Luft indictment was unsealed in the Southern District of New York Monday. Gaetz Caps off Grilling of FBI Director With Last-Second Zinger

By Daily Caller. Republican Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz slammed FBI Director Christopher Wray on Wednesday for allegedly failing to uphold his duties as a director.

Wray was testifying at the Oversight Committee when Gaetz began questioning him about text messages allegedly sent from Hunter Biden to a Chinese business associate that mentioned President Joe Biden.

Wray refused to comment on the alleged texts, prompting Gaetz to ask whether Wray was protecting the Biden family.

“You seem deeply uncurious about it, almost suspiciously uncurious. Are you protecting the Biden’s?”

“Absolutely not,” Wray said, with Gaetz again pushing that Wray should at least acknowledge or answer the question. Gaetz then asked how many illegal FISA inquiries have occurred since Wray has been in charge, noting the Inspector General reported more than one million were in error. Gaetz then said the court said the number was actually around 200,000. Wray said he did not know the answer or correct number. ‘Are You Protecting the Bidens?’ Matt Gaetz Goes on Rampage Against Chris Wray in Explosive Hearing Showdown

By Mediaite. Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) didn’t waste a second to throw accusations at FBI Director Chris Wray during his hearing before the House Judiciary Committee.

Wray, on Wednesday, has already faced several of his harshest critics — as his committee appearance was set to address claims about the alleged two-tiered justice system in America and the weaponization of federal law enforcement against conservatives. Gaetz kicked off his questioning with the alleged WhatsApp message of Hunter Biden invoking his father’s name and demanding payment from his Chinese business associate. . .

The confrontation moved on to Gaetz interrogating Wray over the FBI’s alleged FISA abuses, which coincides with Gaetz’s push for Congress to not renew the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Gaetz also cast perjury accusations at Wray before proclaiming “the FBI has broken so bad that people can go and engage in queries that when you come before the Congress to answer questions, you’re, like, you’re blissfully ignorant” about the FBI supposedly “using the FISA process as their creepy personal snoop machine.” (Read more from “‘Are You Protecting the Bidens?’ Matt Gaetz Goes on Rampage Against Chris Wray in Explosive Hearing Showdown” HERE)

China Financial Moves a Sign of Coming War, Analyst Warns

China is making clear preparations for a war against Taiwan in the coming months, according to a conservative financial analyst.

J. Kyle Bass, a hedge fund manager and board member at the Hudson Institute’s China Center, said in a speech Wednesday that the key to preventing a conflict is for the U.S. government to prepare severe financial sanctions on Beijing.

“I think it’s highly likely he invades Taiwan,” Mr. Bass said, speaking of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“I’m not a military strategist or analyst. I’m a financial analyst,” he said in remarks to the China Center. “Looking at all the writing on what I call the great wall, it sure looks like it’s headed in one direction.”

The indicators are such that an attack on the island democracy, which would likely involve U.S. intervention and a wider regional war, could come in the next 12 to 18 months, said Mr. Bass, founder and chief investment officer of Hayman Capital Management. Soccer Coach Accused of Recording Himself Raping Drugged Boys Is Also an Illegal Alien, Officials Say

A popular youth soccer coach in Tennessee is accused of recording himself raping boys whom he had drugged, and officials have said that he’s also an illegal alien.

The Franklin Police Department called the case one of the most “egregious” and “shocking” they have ever seen.

63-year-old Camilo Hurtado Campos was arrested on charges of child rape after he left his cellphone at a local pizza restaurant and workers trying to get his information to contact him allegedly discovered horrendous videos of assault.

The videos reportedly showed dozens of unconscious children being raped. Investigators later said the boys were aged between 9 and 17 years old.

He was arrested a day after he returned to retrieve the phone and a worker was able to snap a photo of his license plate. (Read more from “Soccer Coach Accused of Recording Himself Raping Drugged Boys Is Also an Illegal Alien, Officials Say” HERE)

Dems Are Beginning to Worry That One Man Could Spoil Biden’s 2024 Bid

Democratic strategists are growing concerned that Dr. Cornel West, a philosophy professor and media personality, could threaten President Joe Biden’s path to reelection by running under the Green Party.

Biden’s supporters are pointing to former Green Party nominee Jill Stein’s 2016 campaign, which some have blamed for Hillary Clinton’s narrow loss, as a cautionary tale about third party “spoiler” candidates, according to The Hill. While some strategists believe Biden’s campaign is safe from the third party threat because of its openness to more left-wing ideas, others fret that West could pull enough votes from Biden to cost him reelection.

“Get them in a f***ing room and ask what they want and include it in the platform,” one Democratic campaign strategist said, according to The Hill. “I think [progressives will] be happy if he moves Biden[’s] rhetoric left.”

“This is not the time in order to experiment. This is not the time to play around on the margins,” DNC Chairman Jaime Harrison said, according to the outlet.

In 2016 Stein won more votes than former President Donald Trump’s victory margin in several key states, though it’s unclear whether her supporters would have voted for Clinton if Stein weren’t on the ballot. Massachusetts Sued for Working With Google to Secretly Put Spyware on Residents’ Phones

A newly released video highlights how the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) allegedly colluded with Google to secretly install Covid-tracking spyware on the smartphones of more than one million residents “without their knowledge or consent.”

A video published by the New Civil Liberties Alliance (NCLA) — a self-described civil rights group devoted to protecting Americans from administrative overreach — walks viewers through the core tenets of the organization’s ongoing lawsuit against DPH and Democrat Gov. Maura Healey, which claims Massachusetts violated state residents and workers’ Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights by installing a Covid “contact-tracing app” on their Androids without their awareness or permission.

According to NCLA’s legal complaint, DPH launched an initial version of the app for Android mobile devices in April 2021 using software provided to the agency by Google. At the time, the installation of the app — which purportedly causes the device “to constantly connect and exchange information with other nearby devices via Bluetooth” to alert individuals of possible exposure to Covid-19 — was voluntary. Following low download numbers among state residents, however, DPH allegedly began working with Google on June 15, 2021, to “secretly install the Contact Tracing App onto over one million Android mobile devices located in Massachusetts without the device owners’ knowledge or permission.”

User attempts to delete the app from his or her respective devices proved unsuccessful, as DPH would allegedly “re-install it onto their device.”

“They made it hard to find on your phone because it doesn’t show up on the home screen with every other app you have,” NCLA Litigation Counsel Sheng Li said. “You have thousands and thousands of people who don’t know this is on their phone.” (Read more from “Massachusetts Sued for Working With Google to Secretly Put Spyware on Residents’ Phones” HERE)

Iowa Passes Special Session Heartbeat Bill Amid Raucous Protests at Capitol

Iowa lawmakers passed a bill on Tuesday banning most abortions when an unborn child’s heartbeat can be detected, usually around six weeks into the pregnancy.

The bill was passed after Republican Governor Kim Reynolds called a special session to address abortion after the Iowa Supreme Court blocked the state’s 2018 Heartbeat Act last month. Reynold’s said she would sign the bill on Friday.

“The Iowa Supreme Court questioned whether this legislature would pass the same law they did in 2018, and today they have a clear answer. The voices of Iowans and their democratically elected representatives cannot be ignored any longer, and justice for the unborn should not be delayed,” she said in a statement.

The bill contains several exceptions, including in cases of rape or incest.

DOJ Erases Child Sex Trafficking Information From Website

The Department of Justice quietly removed significant portions of its page on child sex trafficking, including information on “International Sex Trafficking of Minors,” “Domestic Sex Trafficking of Minors,” and “Child Victims of Prostitution.”

While it is unclear what prompted the revisions, conservatives pointed to the changes as a sign the Biden administration is not taking crimes surrounding child exploitation seriously.

“For some reason, people on the Left get really uncomfortable and defensive talking about child sexual exploitation,” said Heritage Foundation Vice President of Domestic Policy Roger Severino, who called the move typical of Democratic administrations.

“Republican administrations direct more resources to child and human sex trafficking, and then Democratic administrations pull that back,” Severino, who also served in the Trump administration and in the DOJ during the transition from the Bush to Obama administrations, continued. “They treat it almost as a distraction from some things they consider to be more important.”

“The fact that these issues get pulled back under Democratic administrations is contemptible,” he added.
