More Than $200 Billion in COVID-19 Aid May Have Been Stolen, Federal Watchdog Says

More than $200 billion may have been stolen from two large COVID-19 relief initiatives, according to new estimates from a federal watchdog investigating federally funded programs that helped small businesses survive the worst public health crisis in more than a hundred years.

The numbers issued Tuesday by the U.S. Small Business Administration inspector general are much greater than the office’s previous projections and underscore how vulnerable the Paycheck Protection and COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan programs were to fraudsters, particularly during the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic.

The inspector general’s report said “at least 17 percent of all COVID-EIDL and PPP funds were disbursed to potentially fraudulent actors.” The fraud estimate for the COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan program is more than $136 billion, which represents 33 percent of the total money spent on that program, according to the report. A New Report on Jeffrey Epstein’s Death Is Out

Following a years-long investigation into the death of Jeffrey Epstein while in custody at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) in New York City, the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General released a scathing report on Tuesday that pointed to “significant misconduct” by Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) staff that led to Epstein’s suicide in 2019 and set off a flurry of conspiracy theories while depriving Epstein’s victims of the ability to seek justice in court.

In its 128-page report, the OIG lays out the facts leading up to Epstein’s death and identifies “numerous serious failures by MCC New York staff, including multiple violations of MCC New York and BOP policies and procedures.”

Among them, that “MCC New York staff failed on August 9 to carry out the Psychology Department’s directive that Epstein be assigned a cellmate, and that an MCC New York supervisor allowed Epstein to make an unmonitored telephone call the evening before his death.” In addition, “staff failed to undertake required measures designed to make sure that Epstein and other SHU inmates were accounted for and safe, such as conducting inmate counts and 30-minute rounds, searching inmate cells, and ensuring adequate supervision of the SHU and the functionality of the video camera surveillance system.”

In addition to breaches of standard policy, investigators “found that several staff falsified BOP records relating to inmate counts and rounds and lacked candor during their OIG interviews.” But, as the OIG report reminds, two employees were charged for criminally falsifying BOP records but later saw the charges dismissed as a condition of deferred prosecution agreements while the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York decided not to prosecute other employees found to have created false documentation. Every Living U.S. President, Including Obama, Is Descendant of Slave Owners, Except Donald Trump: Report

All current and former living US presidents have had at least one ancestor who used to own slaves, with the sole exception of Donald Trump, an investigation by Reuters has found.

On Tuesday, Reuters released the genealogies of “America’s political elite” data where it found that President Joe Biden and all of his predecessors still alive have descended from ancestors who enslaved Black people.

Even Barack Obama — the country’s first Black president — is the descendant of a slaveowner from his white mother’s side of the family.

According to Reuters, the slaveholding ancestors of living US presidents are:

George Bush — One director ancestor, six generations removed, owned 25 slaves
Bill Clinton — One director ancestor, five generations removed, owned one slaves
Jimmy Carter — One director ancestor, four generations removed, owned 54 slaves
Barack Obama — One director ancestor, six generations removed, owned two slaves
Joe Biden — One direct ancestor, five generations removed, owned one slave

JP Morgan Board Member’s Death in Wake of Epstein Settlement Sparks Rampant Speculation

James Crown, a board member of JPMorgan Chase, died Sunday in a racing accident as he was celebrating his 70th birthday in Colorado.

The accident is still under investigation, however, conspiracy theories surrounding his death are already in full swing. . .

“It sounds like JP Morgan is cleaning up some loose ends,” commented another Twitter user. “They’re a criminal syndicate. The list of their criminal behavior grows.”

Another cited JP Morgan quickly removing Crown’s name from its Board of Directors as odd. Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine confirms Crown was still listed on June 16.

New Study Confirms Biblical Accounts of the Kingdom in the West Bank

According to a study by researchers at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Kingdom of Judah expanded earlier than was previously believed by archeologists, confirming biblical accounts.

The article, by Institute of Archeology professor Yosef Garfinkel, appeared recently in the peer-reviewed institute publication Jerusalem Journal of Archeology.

In the study, Garfinkel examines five sites in particular — Khirbet Qeiyafa, Beth Shemesh, Tell en-Naṣbeh, Khirbet ed-Dawwara and Lachish.

Garfinkel’s findings support the claim that the kingdom began expanding into the Shephelah region southwest of Jerusalem, a transitional area of rolling hills between the coastal plain to the west and the Judean Mountains to the east, as early as the 10th century BCE.

Joe Biden Used Secret Global Cell Phone While He Was Vice President — Paid for by Hunter, Political Biographer Claims

By Dave Malyon. The topic of Joe Biden using a secret global phone that was being paid for by Hunter Biden’s company during his tenure as vice president has surfaced again.

These allegations revisted the spotlight when political biographer Peter Schweizer spoke to Fox and claimed to have discovered this private phone line from Hunter’s abandoned laptop.

The global phone that was serviced through American multinational telecommunications company AT&T for $300 a month is said to have been able to “access somebody anywhere around the world”.

Schweizer further suggests that this may be the phone that the Ukrainian Burisma executive had used in recorded conversations with Joe Biden as was exposed by a recently subpoenaed FBI document.

‘Somebody’s Lying’: Jonathan Turley Says Congress Should Start ‘Bringing People in’ for Answers in Biden Probe

Jonathan Turley said Monday that “somebody’s lying” about whether U.S. Attorney David Weiss was prevented by the Justice Department from seeking felony charges against Hunter Biden.

Republicans on the House Ways and Means Committee released transcripts Thursday of depositions from Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblowers who said Attorney General Merrick Garland and IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel lied to Congress about interference with the Hunter Biden probe. The whistleblowers said Weiss sought special counsel status and was denied permission to file felony charges against Biden in the District of Columbia and in California.

“The different accounts that we’ve heard about what happened in this investigation cannot be reconciled,” Turley told “America Reports” co-host Sandra Smith. “Somebody’s lying, and there is real criminal and impeachable conduct that could be raised and that means Congress’ power is at its apex, and they can move forward and it needs to move forward and it has a full array of powers to do that with.”

The Justice Department announced Tuesday that Hunter Biden would plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges, while a felony gun charge would be addressed via a pre-trial diversion program in what many critics called a “sweetheart deal.”

“Congress needs to start bringing people in. There is nothing that constraints the mind as much as a congressional subpoena,” Turley said. “Hunter Biden should be called in. We need to stop the nonsense. His team is suggesting that maybe the laptop isn’t ours, maybe this is not his message. Call him in and let’s get an answer on the record what this is about.”

Portland Proud Boys Unmask Attackers at Pride Protest – And Well, Well, Well, What Have We Here?

It started with the peaceful protest of a “pride” drag show by a children’s theater group during the first-ever Pride Day in a small town near Portland, Ore. It could have ended there but for a brawl between the Proud Boys and the masked bunch who attempted to infiltrate the group on Saturday. The gauzy in-between of it all is being seized upon by politicos such as former Congressman Adam Kinzinger and Rep. Eric Swalwell to make their political points. Even Elon Musk wanted to know what was going on. Naturally, because the media and Democrat narrative prevails, the Proud Boys are taking the brunt of the criticism. But the story is not quite so pat as that.

Anyone who’s watched the street fighting between Proud Boys groups and Antifa knows that if Antifa “don’t start nuthin’, won’t be nuthin’.” But on Saturday in Oregon City, when a group of black-bloc outfitted young men attempted to join the street clothes-wearing, muscular Proud Boys, the infiltrators were chased — and beaten — out of the protest.

The profane clash went on for a few minutes, some of which was captured in this video, which got more than 8 million views on social media:

The black-bloc group was told to “Get the f*** out of here” and “Be gone!” but then something more interesting happened. The Proud Boys unmasked the interlopers.

The Twitter user “OMG_Like_Really,” who posted the original video, believed Antifa was behind it and called out an infamous Rose City Antifa member known for being present at several of the group’s attacks, including the notorious ones against journalist Andy Ngo. I interviewed that Antifa member some time ago on my Adult in the Room podcast before I knew he was behind Ngo’s attack.

A newly posted video of an interview with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a Democrat candidate for the 2024 nomination for president, reveals how it was Barack Obama who actually made Big Pharma a part of his political party.

And, he said, it was when Obama “made a golden handshake with the devil.”

Kennedy explains that Obama needed the pharmaceutical industry in his corner in ordered to get his Obamacare through Congress. . .

So he signed on to the “golden handshake with the devil,” which, Kennedy said “was to say the government now will pay for the purchases of drugs and we will agree not to bargain.”

Why Is the Vatican Investigating a Conservative Bishop in Texas?

A Texas bishop with a history of conservative activism and criticism of Pope Francis received a Vatican-ordered “visitation” that ended on June 23, but the reasons behind the investigation remain uncertain.

An apostolic visitation is a rare procedure that can be invoked by the Vatican to review a diocese’s leadership and can lead to disciplinary action, according to the Catholic News Agency. A spokesperson for the Tyler Diocese confirmed to the Daily Caller News Foundation that the meeting with Bishop Joseph Strickland had taken place but declined to comment on whether Strickland’s public comments on social issues and the Pope were the cause for the visit.

“So, it was a visitation, a visitation did happen but the whole process is confidential so out of respect for all those involved we’re not really able to say anything beyond that,” the spokesperson told the DCNF.
