Trump: Putin Playing Biden ‘Like a Drum’; Defiant Ukrainian Border Guards Not Really Killed After Telling Russian Warship to ‘Go F–K Yourself’; Michael Flynn: Biden ‘Set the Table’ and ‘Invited’ Putin to Invade

By WND. Former President Donald Trump is charging that Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, is playing Joe Biden “like a drum” and the just-launched attack on Russia’s neighbor, Ukraine, would not have happened were he still in the White House.

A report at TampaBay.com said Trump described the situation as “not a pretty thing to watch.” . . .

During an interview on Laura Ingraham’s program on Fox, he was asked about Putin, and China’s president, Xi Xinping.

“Well, I had a good relationship with both,” he said. “It was hurt by the Russia hoax. You see what happened with Durham and those reports and other reports including Mueller. It was just a made up hoax and it really hurt our country but despite the hoax, I had a good relationship and with president XI of China, other than the fact that I was tariff-ing and taxing the hell out of him.”

He continued, “As a young man growing up, I always heard that the worst thing that could happen is drive those two countries together. It really started with Obama and energy. He drove them together because one needed the energy and the other needed the money. He drove them together and Biden — I kept them apart – and Biden now it’s a great love fest and that’s a very bad thing and I think you can probably add Iran into it too.” (Read more from “Trump: Putin Playing Biden ‘Like a Drum'” HERE)

Defiant Ukrainian Border Guards Killed After Telling Russian Warship to ‘Go F–K Yourself’

By New York Post. Ukrainian border guards defending a Black Sea island defiantly told an invading Russian warship to “go f–k yourself” when asked to surrender and were killed when the warship opened fire.

The 13 guards were posted on the small but strategic Snake Island off Ukraine’s southeastern border when they were approached by two vessels on Thursday, according to Ukrainian media outlets.

The Russians contacted the guards and identified themselves as a “Russian Warship,” demanding that the Ukrainians surrender or else they would open fire according to audio of the exchange.

“This is a Russian warship, I repeat. I suggest you surrender your weapons and capitulate otherwise I will open fire. Do you copy?” The Russians said to the border guards.

Editor’s note: all border guards were later found alive. The above story was likely fabricated for propaganda purposes.

LT. Gen. Flynn: Biden ‘Set the Table’ and ‘Invited’ Putin to Invade

By WND. Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who briefly served as President Trump’s national security adviser, is blaming the current occupant of the Oval Office for the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“President Biden and his failed foreign policy team set the table and sent the invitation and President Putin came and spoiled the dinner party,” Flynn said in a statement.

Flynn doubted the Biden administration will pivot after its failures and instead will make “weak attempts to triple down on leveraging this extremely serious situation in Europe to continue to distract from problems here at home.” . . .

In his statement, Flynn wondered how Biden came to the conclusion that he should shut down the Keystone XL pipeline, undermining America’s energy independence, while enabling Russia and Germany to continue building the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

Flynn’s deputy national security adviser during his 22 days in the White House, KT McFarland, said Thursday that the “single most important thing” Biden could do to counter Putin is to take away Russia’s leverage by reopening “American energy industry.” (Read more from “LT. The CDC — Which Is Withholding Information — Has a Hidden Agenda

People say the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has a messaging problem. But the CDC’s problem is not messaging — it’s issuing flawed guidance while covering up the data.

Case in point: pushing boosters for young people.

After the Food and Drug Administration inexplicably bypassed its expert advisory committee to authorize boosters for all young people, the CDC director overruled her own experts’ downvote of the boosters-for-all proposal. That’s the magic of a call from the White House. Two top FDA officials, including the agency’s vaccine-center head, quit over White House pressure to authorize boosters for the young.

But after the FDA and CDC rammed through the recommendation, they made sure the public wouldn’t see the real-world data. Despite repeated pleas to release all its data, the CDC only posted stats on boosters in people over age 50.

What have they been hiding? As a proxy, let’s take a look at what the CDC just published on people 50 to 65: For the fully vaccinated, the booster reduces the risk of COVID death from four per million to one per million. Who are those three helped by a booster? They’re not healthy people. One study of breakthrough hospitalizations found 75% had at least four comorbidities. Ukrainian Military Confirms Soldiers Who Told Russian Warship to ‘Go F–k Yourself’ Are ‘Alive and Well’

The 13 Ukrainian border guards on Snake Island who were initially believed to have been killed after telling a Russian warship to “go f–k yourselves” are still alive, the Ukrainian Navy confirmed Monday.

The border guards are “alive and well,” according to the Ukrainian Navy, but were forced to surrender to the Russians because they were short on ammunition.

“We are very happy to learn that our brothers are alive and well with them! But Russian propaganda tries to twist the ‘news’ about the fact that the Ukrainian authorities ‘forgotten’, ‘buried’ their fellows,” Ukraine’s Navy said.

“Illegal capture of a civilian ship – a non-combatant without performing any military mission, is a violation of the rules and customs of war, international humanitarian law,” the Ukrainian Navy continued. “We demand from Russia the immediate release of illegally occupied citizens of Ukraine.” (Read more from “Ukrainian Military Confirms Soldiers Who Told Russian Warship to ‘Go F–K Yourself’ Are ‘Alive and Well'” HERE)

Ukraine Agrees to Peace Talks With Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky agreed to a meeting between a Ukrainian and Russian delegation for peace talks, according to a Sunday post on Zelensky’s Telegram.

After speaking with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Zelensky announced a meeting would occur “without preconditions” on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border to discuss Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“We agreed that the Ukrainian delegation would meet with the Russian delegation without preconditions on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, near the Pripyat River,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram.

“Alexander Lukashenko has taken responsibility for ensuring that all planes, helicopters, and missiles stationed on Belarusian territory remain on the ground during the Ukrainian delegation’s travel, talks, and return,” he continued.

Oksana Markarova, Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S., said Zelensky “was focused on the diplomatic solution” from the beginning in an appearance on ABC’s “This Week.” (Read more from “Ukraine Agrees to Peace Talks With Russia” HERE)

Massive Convoy of Hundreds of Russian Military Vehicles Stretching for Miles Spotted Heading to Kyiv

A massive convoy of hundreds of Russian military vehicles was spotted on Sunday in satellite images that showed the vehicles moving toward the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv.

“A long convoy is stretched out over more than three miles of road, consisting of hundreds of vehicles according to Maxar Technologies, which released the images,” The New York Times reported. “The forces include infantry fighting and supply vehicles around 40 miles northwest of Kyiv.”

Russia launched a three-pronged attack into Ukraine, “toward Kyiv, the capital, from the north; toward Kharkiv, from the northeast; and fanning out from Crimea in the south,” the Times added. Ukraine War Will Be ‘Catastrophic’ for Russia: Moscow Billionaire

Some of Russia’s so-called oligarchs have voiced their desire for an end to the conflict with Ukraine, as one warned that the war would be “catastrophic” for their nation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered troops to launch an invasion of Ukraine last week, with the full-scale assault beginning on Thursday. The U.S. along with its North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies have responded with stringent sanctions—targeting the Russian economy as well as top officials, including Putin.

Meanwhile, Ukrainians have fought hard against the Russian invasion, exceeding the expectations of many analysts in the face of Putin’s massive military. In the U.S., some experts have described Putin’s actions as “erratic” and “delusional,” while others have assessed that his forces will be unable to “subdue” the Ukrainian population.

“It is going to be catastrophic in all senses: for the economy, for relations with the rest of the world, for the political situation,” one Moscow-based billionaire, who requested anonymity, told Reuters for an article that was published on Sunday. Belarus Reportedly Preparing to Send Soldiers to Ukraine, Backing Russia

A US official said Sunday night that Belarus is preparing to send soldiers into Ukraine as soon as Monday in order to support Russia’s ongoing military campaign in the country.

“It’s very clear Minsk is now an extension of the Kremlin,” the official said, referring to the Belarus capital.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said last week that troops could be sent into the country to aid Russian troops if needed.

The country, which borders Ukraine to the north, will be hosting peace talks between delegations from Ukraine and Russia on Monday. (Read more from “Belarus Reportedly Preparing to Send Soldiers to Ukraine, Backing Russia” HERE)

The West Could Have Prevented the Russo-Ukrainian War, but Chose Not To; Biden’s Approval Sinks Further as Russia-Ukraine Crisis Heightens

By The Federalist. Not every war is unnecessary or avoidable, but history might well judge the Russo-Ukrainian war as both, not least because the United States and its European allies could have prevented it, but didn’t.

The decision to go to war was Russia’s, and Russia bears ultimate responsibility for what happens now. But that does not absolve the West of its strategic incompetence and complacency, and it does not mean the United States and its allies are guiltless in all of this.

At multiple points leading up to the current crisis, there were ways for the United States and Europe to create off-ramps for both Moscow and Kyiv, to shepherd a negotiated settlement so that both sides got a minimum of what they needed, and some of what they wanted.

What might that have looked like? For Moscow, a recognition of its strategic claim on Crimea and the port of Sevastopol as the home of its Black Sea Fleet. For Kyiv, the promise of political independence and greater integration with Europe in exchange for territorial concessions.

The West should have also considered the folly and recklessness of floating the idea of NATO membership for Ukraine, something no serious person ever thought Russia would accept without going to war to prevent it. And yet as far back as 2008, the United States openly discussed the possibility of Ukraine’s membership in NATO, even as Kyiv still claimed sovereignty over Russia’s most important naval base in Sevastopol. Under these conditions, the idea of Ukraine joining NATO was preposterous. (Read more from “The West Could Have Prevented the Russo-Ukrainian War, but Chose Not To” HERE)

Biden’s Approval Sinks Further as Russia-Ukraine Crisis Heightens

By The Federalist. New polling indicates that only 39 percent of Americans approve of President Joe Biden’s job as president as the Russia-Ukraine crisis heightens.

According to a new NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll, 56 percent of Americans think Biden’s first year in office was a failure. Among those unimpressed with the president’s track record of rising gas prices, a botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, and a growing crisis on the Southern border, are 66 percent of independents who will likely take their frustrations out at the polls in the upcoming 2022 midterms. Even 15 percent of Democrats admit that Biden’s tenure in the White House thus far has been a failure.

While nearly 40 percent of Americans think inflation should be Biden’s top priority, only 36 percent of them still support how the president is handling the country’s financial circumstances which are plagued with record-high inflation. Ukraine’s Zelensky Warns EU Leaders ‘This Might Be the Last Time You See Me Alive’

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said goodbye to European leaders Thursday during a video chat — telling them that “this might be the last time you see me alive,” according to reports.

The 44-year-old leader made the chilling warning in a video call with EU leaders Thursday, sources told Axios and the Financial Times just before he publicly stated he was Russia’s “target number one.”

One of those on the call, Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson, also told the TT news agency that the EU leaders knew when they said goodbye that they might not see him again.

Zelensky, who appeared to address the other leaders from a bunker, vowed to remain in Kyiv even as it came under siege — and as he conceded that the Russians “want to destroy Ukraine politically by taking down the head of state.”

“The enemy has designated me as target number one, and my family as target number two,” he said of wife Olena Zelenska, their son, Kiril, and daughter, Aleksandra. (Read more from “Ukraine’s Zelensky Warns EU Leaders ‘This Might Be the Last Time You See Me Alive'” HERE)
