Officials: State Dept. Keeping Shock Obama Era Palestinian Report Secret

By Conservative Tribune. A key report which details just how many Palestinian refugees were subsidized under the Obama era is being kept classified by the State Department months after its existence was disclosed, leading to serious questions about how taxpayer dollars were spent.

The Washington Free Beacon first reported in January that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency — which claimed to have given money to 5.3 million Palestinian refugees — may actually have just spent the money on just 20,000 to 30,000 individuals.

“Congressional officials familiar with the classified report, the existence of which was first disclosed by the Washington Free Beacon, say the State Department continues to keep it secret in order to not disrupt billions of dollars in allocations to United Nations Relief Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East,” the Free Beacon reported Thursday.

“This disclosure could fundamentally change the way billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars are allocated to UNRWA and the Palestinian government and impact America’s longstanding policies regarding the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

“Lawmakers are pressuring the Trump administration to finally release the report to the public,” the Free Beacon added. (Read more from “Officials: State Dept. Keeping Shock Obama Era Palestinian Report Secret” HERE)

U.S. Government Hiding Report on Number of Palestinian Refugees

By Washington Free Beacon. The U.S. government continues to inappropriately keep classified a report on Palestinian refugees that congressional officials view as a potential game changer in how America approaches its regional policies and allocates billions in taxpayer funds, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the report.

Congressional officials familiar with the classified report, the existence of which was first disclosed by the Washington Free Beacon, say the State Department continues to keep it secret in order to not disrupt billions of dollars in allocations to United Nations Relief Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), the organization responsible for providing aid to what they claim is some 5.2 million Palestinian refugees.

Those familiar with the report say the U.S. quietly determined under the Obama administration that the actual number of Palestinian refugees is far smaller, closer to around 30,000. This disclosure could fundamentally change the way billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars are allocated to UNRWA and the Palestinian government and impact America’s longstanding policies regarding the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

Lawmakers are pressuring the Trump administration to finally release the report to the public. The Free Beacon first disclosed this effort earlier this month, publishing a letter signed by more than 50 members of Congress who are calling on President Donald Trump to finally release the report, as is mandated by current U.S. laws. Iran’s Supreme Leader Urges Muslim Countries to Stand United Against America

By WND. On Thursday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei went on state television and urged all Muslim nations to resist America and its allies.

According to Reuters, Khameini blustered, “The Iranian nation has successfully resisted bullying attempts by America and other arrogant powers and we will continue to resist. All Muslim nations should stand united against America and other enemies.”

Iranian leaders have been ratcheting up their belligerent rhetoric in recent days as the deadline draws nearer for President Trump to withdraw from the Iranian nuclear deal that Barack Obama signed in 2015. The deal meant the West stopped imposing sanctions on Iran for its nuclear program. (Read more from “Iran’s Supreme Leader Urges Muslim Countries to Stand United Against America” HERE)

Judges Rule Against Little Alfie Evans Again, Block Him from Leaving UK

By WND. The father of little Alfie Evans, the 23-month-old toddler in England with a degenerative brain condition, has filed for a private prosecution to have three doctors charged with conspiracy to murder if his boy dies while in their care.

As WND reported, Evans’ parents, Tom and Kate Evans, have fought long and hard for many months to prevent his life support from being turned off, and even Pope Francis and Italian authorities have weighed in with their pleas. The baby’s family took their case to an appeals court on Wednesday, and a panel of three court of appeals judges heard arguments about the case in London.

The judges once again ruled that Evans and his family cannot leave the country to seek treatment in Italy.

The ongoing saga has captured worldwide attention, especially in light of Pope Francis’ repeated attempts to convince the courts to release Evans from Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool and allow him to be transported to the Vatican’s Bambino Gesu Pediatric Hospital for treatment. The current hospital refused to grant the transfer.

On Tuesday, a British judge rejected the desperate family’s plea to transport Evans to Italy for treatment, telling the parents that his ruling “represents the final chapter in the life of this extraordinary little boy.” Before Tuesday’s emergency ruling, the U.K. Supreme Court had ruled that the child should remain at the hospital. The family’s appeal was rejected as “inadmissible” by the European Court of Human Rights. (Read more from “Judges Rule Against Little Alfie Evans Again, Block Him from Leaving UK” HERE)

British Toddler Alfie Evans Not Allowed to Leave Country, UK Court Says

By CNN. Judges on the UK Court of Appeal once again ruled against 23-month-old Alfie Evans’ family.

Wednesday’s ruling rejected new arguments intended to overturn a decision by the High Court on Tuesday that prevented the terminally ill toddler from leaving Britain for medical treatment, said Roger Kiska, a lawyer with Christian Legal Center and part of the legal team representing Alfie’s parents.

“We have the right to appeal to the Supreme Court and the European Court,” Kiska told CNN. “We could seek new medical evidence showing that his condition is improving.” Kiska will be discussing future steps with Alfie’s parents, Tom Evans and Kate James, who remained in Liverpool at Alfie’s hospital bedside.

Alfie, admitted to Alder Hey Hospital in December 2016, was diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disease associated with severe epilepsy and has been in a semivegetative state for more than a year. During that time, he has been kept alive by artificial ventilation in the critical care unit. (Read more from “British Toddler Alfie Evans Not Allowed to Leave Country, UK Court Says” HERE)

Emotionless Judge Ignores Pope, Blocks Parent from Taking Sick Baby to Vatican Hospital

A British judge rejected a desperate family’s plea to transport their ill child to Italy for treatment, telling the parents of 23-month-old Alfie Evans that his Tuesday ruling “represents the final chapter in the life of this extraordinary little boy.”

Evans’ parents, Tom and Kate Evans, have fought long and hard for many months to prevent his life support from being turned off, and even Pope Francis and Italian authorities intervened to help the toddler with a degenerative neurological condition. The parents sought to bring Evans to the Vatican’s Bambino Gesu Pediatric Hospital for treatment, but the current hospital refused to grant the transfer. . .

Evans claims hospital staff haven’t allowed the boy to eat any food in almost 24 hours, and he’s worried they’ll starve the child. He says the hospital claims it would take three days to discharge the boy.

Before Tuesday’s emergency ruling, the U.K. Supreme Court had ruled that the child should remain at the hospital. The family’s appeal was rejected as “inadmissible” by the European Court of Human Rights.

While medical professionals have been unable to identify Evans’ exact brain condition, they said he remains in a “semi-vegetative state.” Evans is currently at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, and several court rulings have blocked the parents from moving their child. Toronto Van Killer Was Angry Women Wouldn’t Sleep with Him

The Toronto van killer who murdered 10 pedestrians and injured several more when he plowed through crowds on a sidewalk Monday was a fan of Santa Barbara shooter Elliot Rodger and, like Rodger, he was angered that women wouldn’t sleep with him.

Alek Minassian, 25, described himself as “involuntarily celibate” and praised Rodger, the shooter who railed against women in 2014 before stabbing, shooting and striking victims with his vehicle in Isla Vista, California . . .

Before his killing spree, Minassian had made Facebook posts referencing a a rebellion of “incels,” or men who are “involuntarily celibate” because women will not sleep with them. After his killing spree, Facebook deleted Minassian’s page.

In one post, Minassian, who has been described as a “socially awkward” tech expert, wrote in a post: “Private (Recruit) Minassian Infantry 00010, wishing to speak to Sgt 4 chan please. C23249161. The Incel Rebellion has already begun! We will overthrow all the Chads and Stacys! All hail the Supreme Gentleman Elliot Rodger!”

As far as the first portion of the post is concerned, Canada’s Global News reported that Minassian was briefly in the Canadian Armed Forces last fall but was “asked to leave after 16 days of recruit training.” This would explain why he refers to himself as a “private (recruit)” rather than simply a “private,” which would indicate he has completed his military training. Radio Host: I Hope the Toronto Attacker Isn’t Muslim, Because Trump Might Politicize It

By The Daily Caller. Muslim-American radio host Dean Obeidallah said on MSNBC Monday that he hopes the perpetrator of a recent van attack in Toronto, Canada is not a Muslim because President Trump might politicize it.

“Being Muslim myself, of course, and everyone who is Muslim, I can tell you right now is hoping sincerely that the person who did this horrible act is not Muslim. Because we know what happens,” Obeidallah said. (Read more from “Radio Host: I Hope the Toronto Attacker Isn’t Muslim, Because Trump Might Politicize It” HERE)

‘Nobody’s Seen Anything Like This’: 10 Dead, 15 Injured in North Toronto Van Ramming Attack

By CBC. Ten people are dead and 15 others are injured after a van driver plowed into a number of pedestrians Monday in the Yonge Street and Finch Avenue area of North York in Toronto.

One suspect is in custody.

CBC News has confirmed that Alek Minassian, a 25-year-old Richmond Hill, Ont., man, is the alleged driver in the attack. His LinkedIn profile identifies him as a student at Seneca College.

Government officials briefed on the investigation so far say the suspect is not associated with any organized terrorist group and he does not represent a larger threat to national security. What We Know About Alek Minassian, Alleged Driver in Deadly Toronto Van Attack

By CBC. Police have identified the suspect in a deadly van attack in Toronto as Alek Minassian, a 25-year-old man from Richmond Hill, Ont., a suburb north of the city . . .

A profile on social networking site LinkedIn identifies Minassian as a student at Seneca College in North York, the north Toronto neighbourhood where the attack took place.

Speculation surfaced Monday night around a Facebook post associated with the same name and the same photo as the one that appears on Minassian’s LinkedIn profile. CBC News has not been able to independently verify whether the Facebook post was, indeed, written by Minassian or created after that fact and intended to mislead.

The post referred to the “Supreme Gentleman Elliot Rodger.” Rodger was the 22-year-old California man responsible for a deadly rampage in Isla Vista, Calif., that left six people dead and a dozen more injured . . .

Saunders said Monday night that no gun was found on the male driver at the time of his arrest. He said Minassian was not previously known to Toronto police. (Read more from “What We Know About Alek Minassian, Alleged Driver in Deadly Toronto Van Attack” HERE)

Toddler Fights for Life After Hospital Removes Life Support Against Parents’ Wishes

By The Daily Wire. An ill two-year-old boy who had his oxygen removed by a U.K. children’s hospital — a directive backed by the courts and made against his parents’ wishes — is currently fighting for his life.

Officials directed that little Alfie Evans, who is believed to have encephalomyopathic mitochondrial DNA depletion syndrome, have his life support removed after the boy’s parents lost a legal battle in the British Supreme Court just days ago.

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital claims it’s not in the boy’s “best interests” to stay on a ventilator and maintains that further treatment is “futile.” The boy’s parents, alternatively, wish to continue to fight for their baby’s life.

According to Facebook postings from the boy’s desperate father, Tom Evans, Alfie had his ventilator removed at 9:17 p.m. on Monday and is still alive and continuing to fight for his life. Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, he says, is refusing to oxygenate the boy.

“He’s been sustaining his own life since 17 minutes past nine. We just need him oxygenated and they are denying us to do that. So, if anyone has any ideas or if anyone can help, feel free,” says Mr. Evans, adding, “Alfie is still here fighting.” (Read more from “Toddler Fights for Life After Hospital Removes Life Support Against Parents’ Wishes” HERE)

Alfie Evans Granted Italian Citizenship in Life Support Legal Row

By BBC News. Terminally ill toddler Alfie Evans has been granted Italian citizenship, the Italian foreign office has said . . .

Posting on Facebook, Mr Evans said: “Alfie has been granted Italian citizenship. We await for the [Italian] foreign minister to call Boris Johnson.”

He then said outside the Liverpool hospital: “I’m stood here now and Alfie is still here. Why? Because I’m still fighting for him, I’m still fighting and so is Alfie.”

Mr Evans said he had been in touch with the ambassador of Italy and his son had been given Italian citizenship, which he claimed would block any planned withdrawal of life support.

The Christian Legal Centre, which represents Alfie’s parents, said: “The Italian ambassador has urgently contacted the court with a request for the Italian government to be allowed to intervene in the case and seek the return of their citizen Alfie Evans to Italy.” (Read more from “Alfie Evans Granted Italian Citizenship in Life Support Legal Row” HERE)

Actress Drops out of Prestigious Awards Ceremony over ‘Distressing’ Events in Israel

U.S. actress Natalie Portman has pulled out of a June awards ceremony in Israel because of concerns over “recent events” there, event organizers said Thursday.

Portman, who was born in Jerusalem, will not travel to Israel in June to receive the Genesis Prize, sometimes referred to as “The Jewish Nobel.”

“Recent events in Israel have been extremely distressing to her, and she does not feel comfortable participating in any public events in Israel,” the Genesis Foundation, which sponsors the award, quoted a Portman representative as saying . . .

Clashes have erupted in recent weeks between Israeli security forces and Palestinian protesters along the Israel’s border with the Gaza Strip. Live fire from Israeli troops has killed dozens of Palestinians and wounded hundreds more, sparking international criticism of Israel’s response to the protests. Israel says it is defending its border and has accused the militant group Hamas, which loosely governs Gaza, of organizing the mass demonstrations a cover for attacks.

Portman was announced as the winner of the 2018 Genesis Prize in November. She had committed to give the $1 million award to “philanthropic programs focused on advancing women’s equality in all aspects of human endeavor,” the Genesis Foundation said. Violence in Post-Refugee Sweden Reaches Staggering Levels

Much has been written over the past several years about the massive influx of mostly Muslim refugee migrants to Europe and the radical cultural changes those migrants brought with them to the nations they ultimately settled in.

Bear in mind that the overwhelming majority of those migrants weren’t really refugees at all, as the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees admitted in a report. For the year 2015, only about 0.4 percent (less than 300 total) of the 118,000 refugees accepted by other nations around the world were actually in dire need of resettling and could honestly proclaim themselves a refugee, according to The Western Journal.

That means more than 99 percent of those who fled North Africa and the Middle East for western and northern Europe were migrating for economic or criminal purposes, and though that fact is typically downplayed by European governments, the reality of the situation is increasingly intruding on their precious innocent refugees narrative.

Perhaps the most vivid example of this reality is the case of Sweden, a prosperous Scandinavian nation once considered one of the safest countries on earth but which is now wracked with rapidly spiking levels of violent crime, according to a shocking report in Politico.

Sweden took in so many migrants and refugees that the nation was dubbed a “humanitarian superpower,” and the generosity of the nation’s welfare state in conjunction with their open arms for third-world migrants was held up as the “Swedish model” for other progressive nations to emulate.
