Russian Who Exposed Stalin’s Criminality Now Forced Into Psychological Testing

A Russian historian whose exposure of Soviet leader Josef Stalin’s crimes angered state officials is due to begin enforced psychiatric testing this week amid fears he will be falsely declared insane, his lawyer said on Tuesday.

Yuri Dmitriev, 61, is on trial in northwest Russia on charges brought by state prosecutors of involving his adopted daughter, then 11, in child pornography, of illegally possessing “the main elements of” a firearm, and of depravity involving a minor.

Some of Russia’s leading cultural figures say Dmitriev was framed because his focus on Stalin’s crimes – he found a mass grave with up to 9,000 bodies dating from the Soviet dictator’s Great Terror in the 1930s – jars with the latter-day Kremlin narrative that Russia must not be ashamed of its past. . .

A previous psychiatric evaluation declared him to be of sound mind and a court-sanctioned expert group found no pornographic content in any photos… (Read more about historian forced into psychological testing HERE)

China Outmaneuvers U.S. in Pakistan and Afghanistan

In June 2017, nearly two dozen Chinese, protected by a Pakistani security detail conducted surveys and took soil samples in areas west of the Pakistani port of Gwadar near the Iranian border, suggesting the possibility of a major new construction project, according to on-the-ground sources.

In late September 2017, a delegation of Chinese, Pakistanis and Iranians, including military and intelligence personnel, met in Iran near the border with Pakistan, again close to the port city of Gwadar. It was reported that the meeting dealt with security issues in the region, in particular, between the important Iranian port of Chabahar and Gwadar.

Again, in mid-October 2017, there was another secret meeting between the Pakistanis and the Iranians on the border near Gwadar.

At the beginning of November 2017, in the first such trip in twenty years, Pakistani Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa went to Iran for a three-day official visit. During his time in Tehran, he met with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in an effort to expand “military and defence cooperation with Tehran, besides promoting historical and economic relations and cooperation in other areas.”

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Armed Forces, stated, “Leaders of both sides agreed to stay engaged for enhanced bilateral cooperation while jointly working to assist in bringing positive developments in other issues concerning the region.”

The ISPR added that the discussions included “Afghan situation, growing threat of ISIS in the region and Pak-Iran border security.”

In recent years, there have been numerous incidents along the Iran-Pakistan border in Balochistan province including; attacks on Iran reportedly by Saudi-funded anti-Shia Islamic extremist groups, retaliatory Iranian mortar attacks on Pakistani villages and Iranian drone incursions into Pakistan, one of which was shot down by a Pakistani jet.

Subsequent to the visit by the Pakistani Army Chief to Iran, however, a gathering of anti-Iranian jihadis northwest of Panjgur, were ordered to disperse by Pakistani authorities, described by villagers near map coordinates 27.179106, 63.659733.

In a more public display of Iranian-Pakistani reconciliation, during the December 3, 2017 inauguration of the Iranian port of Chabahar, the Pakistani minister for ports and shipping was standing next to the Iranian President during the ceremony. According to official sources, Pakistan “has given firm assurances to Iran that Islamabad would not become part of an initiative that targets the Islamic Republic” and Iran “has pledged that it would not allow any regional country including India to undermine Pakistan’s interests,” thus representing a “turnaround” in Pakistan’s participation in the Saudi-led counterterrorism coalition aimed at Iran.

An Iranian diplomat added, “that military and intelligence cooperation have deepened greatly in the past few months as officials from the security establishments on either side of the border speak to each other more often,” confirming the on-the-ground reports of secret meetings between Iran and Pakistan earlier in 2017.

Even only a near-term Chinese-brokered accommodation between Iran and Pakistan could represent an earthquake-like shift in the South Asian strategic environment.

That development occurs nearly in parallel with the first China-Pakistan-Afghanistan trilateral meeting in late December 2017, where Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi invited the Afghans to join the $50 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and pledged to step up “efforts to forge peace between Pakistan and Afghanistan.”

In the wake of recent confirmation that China will build a new naval base near Gwadar, Pakistan, the United States appears on the verge of being strategically out-maneuvered and may encounter serious geopolitical setbacks in South Asia and the Indian Ocean, not to mention the possibility of being nudged out of Afghanistan with little to show for all the blood and treasure expended.

Homosexual Sex Still Illegal in India, but Nation’s Supreme Court Now Reconsidering

In India, homosexual acts are punishable by up to 10 years in prison. But on Monday, the country’s highest court announced it will re-examine the ban . . .

Following a petition filed by five Indians who said they are living in constant fear of being prosecuted, the Supreme Court said a larger group of judges would reconsider the constitutional validity of the law . . .

But in 2013, India’s Supreme Court overturned the ruling and re-criminalized same-sex relationships.

This time, some justices are arguing that the law contradicts Article 21 of the Indian constitution, which says: “No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty except according to procedure established by law.”

After a … ruling in September, many justices in the country recognized that Article 21 guaranteed a right to privacy, including sexual orientation. (Read more from “Homosexual Sex Still Illegal in India, but Nation’s Supreme Court Now Reconsidering” HERE)

Out of Ammo, Hero Soldier Gets Creative in Decapitating ISIS Jihadi

Facing what seemed like certain death at the hands of bloodthirsty ISIS terrorists in eastern Afghanistan, a heroic British special-forces soldier who ran out of bullets acted quickly during an ambush by grabbing a spade and decapitating a jihadi in a single swoop.

Then the British soldier swiped the terrorist’s own weapon and killed more members of ISIS during a six-hour gun battle, according to the London Daily Mail.

U.S. troops moved in to help the besieged soldiers of Britain’s Special Air Service, who had been forced to take cover at a farm six weeks ago when ISIS gunmen attacked them. Eventually, two U.S. Apache helicopter gunships and a U.S. Chinook arrived to rescue the British fighters.

But before help arrived, the British soldiers were sitting ducks. They radioed for help but were unsure of whether their calls were received. So they vowed to fight to the death rather than allow themselves to be captured, tortured and executed by ISIS.

After nearly half the unit ran out of ammunition, the men began using their rifles as clubs. (Read more from “Out of Ammo, Hero Soldier Gets Creative in Decapitating ISIS Jihadi” HERE)

Israel Dig Unearths Prehistoric ‘Paradise’

Israeli archaeologists have uncovered a rare prehistoric site near Tel Aviv described as a “paradise” for hunter-gatherers living 500,000 years ago.

The site, next to a busy motorway at Jaljulia, has revealed hundreds of flint axes and other artefacts.

Experts say the area had a stream, vegetation and an abundance of animals – all perfect for early humans . . .

The ancient landscape was found between Jaljulia and the Route 6 motorway, about 5m (16ft) below the surface, and the finds indicate it was used by the ancestors of modern humans – homo erectus.

The Israel Antiquities Authority, which carried out the joint excavation with the university, said the finds had shed new light on the period. (Read more from “Israel Dig Unearths Prehistoric ‘Paradise'” HERE)

Violent Crime Is Surging in Germany – Their Solution Will Leave You Speechless

Refugees are causing a major problem in Germany; the situation is getting so bad that mainstream media outlets can no longer ignore it. Now a new report shows that migrants are almost solely responsible for the country’s rise in violent crime . . .

The most insane part of the German government’s report was the solution that they offered to fix the problem. According to Reuters:

The study said reuniting refugees with their families by allowing them to come to Germany too could help to reduce violence. Such reunions look set to be a particularly contentious issue in talks about a new coalition government.

. . .

It is not difficult to understand why women avoid these young male migrants as Germany had to install rape-free zones for the most recent New Year’s Eve celebrations after a series of horrifying sexual attacks by migrants occurred a couple of years ago. Documents that were leaked in 2016 showed that “approximately 2,000 men, many of whom were newly-arrived migrants from the Middle East and North Africa, sexually assaulted more than 1,200 women during the celebrations in several German cities.” (Read more from “Violent Crime Is Surging in Germany – Their Solution Will Leave You Speechless” HERE)

Sen. Rand Paul Will Introduce a Bill to End Aid to Pakistan

Following President Trump’s declaration that the United States would end aid to Pakistan, Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky., says he will introduce a bill in the Senate to cut off Pakistan aid and shift those funds toward legislation to improve American infrastructure in 2018.

“The United States should not give one penny to countries who burn our flag and chant ‘death to America,’” Sen. Paul said in a video posted to Twitter. “Countries like Pakistan, that stonewall access to key information in fighting terrorism, don’t deserve our money. I say we should stop now.”

Noting that the U.S. has sent over $33 billion to Pakistan since 2002 while the regime has aided and abetted terrorists, Paul said he will introduce a bill to cut off the aid.

Paul’s bill would instead reallocate those funds to pay for President Trump’s proposed $1 trillion infrastructure plan.

“We need to build our nation, not other countries. It’s time for America-first policy and an end to foreign aid,” Paul said.

On Monday, President Trump kicked off the new year by calling for an end to aid for Pakistan, characterizing it as foolish.

And it’s not only aid to Pakistan that could be on the chopping block. The president also suggested cutting off aid to the Palestinian Authority following its decision to quit peace talks with Israel.

If President Trump is serious about cutting off foreign aid, he’ll find no better ally in the U.S. Senate than Rand Paul. (For more from the author of “Sen. Rand Paul Will Introduce a Bill to End Aid to Pakistan” please click HERE)

Rush Limbaugh Believes Trump Has Found the Perfect Way to Handle Kim Jong Un

Rush Limbaugh defended President Donald Trump’s nuclear button tweet on his show Thursday.

“If you’re dealing with lunatics and if you’re dealing with the insane, throw it back at ’em,” Limbaugh said, according to Mediaite.

The president had tweeted earlier this week, claiming that he has a “bigger & more powerful” nuclear button than Kim Jong-un on his desk.

While others worried that Trump was acting childish and that Kim Jong-un would see this tweet as a threat, Limbaugh suggested that he might be “brilliant.”

“Trump’s brilliant. He knows who he’s dealing with an how to reach them,” he said. “You know, throw a little unpredictability and lunaticism back at them.”

Limbaugh also claimed that the president’s strategy is proving to be effective and the “little pot-bellied dictator” does not know what to do.

“And it discombobulates ’em — and in fact it is. Kim Jon-un is confused.” Limbaugh said, according to Mediaite. “Kim Jong-un doesn’t know how to deal with Trump.”

He also used Trump’s tweet to criticize the media for overreacting.

“You know another thing they’re made about? They’re made that there hasn’t been a similar eruption — I mean, the left did, of course.” he continued. “But there hasn’t been a nationwide negative reaction to Trump’s tweet.”

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders also defended Trump against the media following his tweet.

NBC News reporter Kristen Welker asked Sanders about the statement during the Wednesday daily press briefing, questioning whether it is wise to provoke Kim.

“You just said that people should question the mental fitness of Kim Jong Un. So then isn’t it dangerous for the president to be taunting him on twitter?” Welker wondered.

“I don’t think it’s taunting to stand up for the people of this country. I think what’s dangerous is to ignore the continued threats,” Sanders responded. “If the previous administration had done anything and dealt with North Korea and dealt with Iran instead of sitting by and doing nothing we wouldn’t have to clean up their mess now.”

Sanders was also asked whether “Americans should be concerned about the president’s mental fitness, that he appears to be speaking so lightly about threats regarding the nuclear button?”

“The people of this country should be concerned about the mental fitness of the leader of North Korea,” she replied. “This is a president committed to protecting Americans … and he’s not going to back down.” (For more from the author of “Rush Limbaugh Believes Trump Has Found the Perfect Way to Handle Kim Jong Un” please click HERE)

Iran Uprising Blamed on Cash Transfers to Hezbollah Terrorists

The terrorist organization Hezbollah is partly responsible for the popular uprising in Iran against the mullah regime in which citizens are shouting slogans addressing the ayatollah such as “Aren’t you ashamed Khamenei?”

That’s according to Yves Mamou, an author and journalist based in France writing for the Gatestone Institute.

Mamou explained that the protests in dozens of Iranian cities – which have prompted President Trump to suggest the U.S. could offer support at the right time – are because of the Iranian’s regime commitment to funding Hezbollah.

“The demonstrators were demanding that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei spend Iranian money for Iranian people – and only for Iranian people,” Mamou wrote.

“Ironically, Iran’s receiving more than $100 billion in frozen assets (from the Obama administration) for the hapless ‘nuclear deal’ succeeded in breaking the solidarity between Iranian people and the Ayatollahs’ regime better than the sanctions did. During the tough time of sanctions, the Iranian people stood by their leaders,” Mamou wrote. (Read more from “Iran Uprising Blamed on Cash Transfers to Hezbollah Terrorists” HERE)

After Pop Star Cancels Show for Israel Boycott, Former Beatles Band Mate Takes Matters Into His Own Hands

Just a week after singer Lorde canceled her planned concert in Tel Aviv, former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr announced he will be performing in Israel.

The announcement was made on Starr’s website, stating that his All Starr Band had added new tour dates for their travels through Europe and Israel.

The 13th iteration band includes fellow rock legends Steve Lukather of Toto, Greg Rollie of Journey and Graham Gouldman of 10cc, according to Breitbart, and are booked for the Menorah Mivtahim Arena in Tel Aviv.

“Starr is going ahead with his visit, where others have feared to tread,” reports Breitbart Jerusalem. “Notably Lorde and Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters, who remains one of the most vocal anti-Israel celebrities in entertainment.”

The 21-year-old singer was scheduled to perform in the summer of 2018 in Tel Aviv, but received immense pressure from hard-left Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, which had called for boycotts of Israel.

“I’ve received an overwhelming number of messages and letters and have had a lot of discussions with people holding many views,” Lorde said in response to the call for her to step down. “And I think the right decision at this time is to cancel the show.”

However, the cancelation of the famous “Royals” singer was met with backlash on both social media and in other portions of the entertainment industry.

Meanwhile, social media users have highlighted the hypocrisy, as Lorde — who canceled her Israel concert on the basis of human rights reasons — will continue her concerts in other locations such as Russia.

Yet, other celebrities — like Starr — have gone ahead with concerts in the country during such controversial times, including those such as Lady Gaga, Radiohead, Rihanna and even Sir Paul McCartney — the latter having been threatened back in 2008 if he performed for his audience of 400,000 in Tel Aviv.

“If he values his life Mr. McCartney must not come to Israel,” militant Islamic activist Omar Bakri Muhammad said in reference to McCartney. “He will not be safe there. The sacrifice operatives will be waiting for him.”

Radiohead singer Thom Yorke has even been outspoken about the disdain of other celebrities towards Israel. As reported by The Guardian, Yorke fired back at Waters and other BDS activists for pressuring the band to cancel their concert scheduled concert in the Jewish state.

“It’s deeply disrespectful to assume that we’re either being misinformed or that we’re so retarded we can’t make these decisions ourselves,” Yorke told Rolling Stone.

“I thought it was patronizing in the extreme,” he added. “It’s offensive and I just can’t understand why going to play a rock show or going to lecture at a university (is a problem to them).” (For more from the author of “After Pop Star Cancels Show for Israel Boycott, Former Beatles Band Mate Takes Matters Into His Own Hands” please click HERE)
