Fox News Reveals Identity of Unnamed Trump Official Who Directed Flynn to Contact Russians

Fox News chief White House correspondent John Roberts revealed Friday on live TV the identity of the official who reportedly told former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn to talk to the Russian government about sanctions imposed by the U.S. on Russia.

In court papers filed Friday, special counsel Robert Mueller referred to a “senior” official on then-President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team. On Dec. 29, 2016, Flynn contacted that official to determine what he should tell then-Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak about those sanctions, according to Mueller.

Reporting from outside the White House, Roberts identified that “senior” official as K.T. McFarland, the former deputy national security adviser who is currently waiting to be confirmed by the Senate as the ambassador to Singapore.

Roberts cited “a source with intimate and full knowledge of the investigation” who he said was “very, very knowledgeable.”

Fox News host Shepard Smith then pointed out that McFarland is a name Fox viewers may recognize, and not just for her work in the Trump administration.

“K.T. McFarland was to work for the administration, and did for a short time. She’s a former Fox News contributor that viewers may recognize here,” he said.

Roberts’ reporting was backed up by The Associated Press, which cited “two former officials on President Donald Trump’s transition team” as confirming that McFarland was the official referred to by Mueller as having spoken with Flynn on Dec. 29.

Moreover, the AP also identified the “very senior transition official” whom Mueller claims met with Flynn on Dec. 22 to tell him to contact Russia regarding a U.N. resolution that involved Israeli settlements.

That official was reportedly Jared Kushner, a senior White House adviser and Trump’s son-in-law.

Flynn pleaded guilty Friday to “willfully and knowingly” making “false, fictitious and fraudulent statements” regarding conversations he had with Kislyak.

In a statement, Flynn said the “guilty plea and agreement to cooperate with the Special Counsel’s Office reflect a decision I made in the best interests of my family and of our country. I accept full responsibility for my actions.”

White House attorney Ty Cobb, meanwhile, has denied that Flynn’s guilty plea and potential cooperation with Mueller’s investigation implicate Trump or his administration.

“The false statements involved mirror the false statements to White House officials which resulted in (Flynn’s) resignation in February of this year,” Cobb said. “Nothing about the guilty plea or the charge implicates anyone other than Mr. Flynn.”

“The concussion of this phase of the Special Counsel’s work demonstrates again that the Special Counsel is moving with all deliberate speed and clears the way for a prompt and reasonable conclusion.” (For more from the author of “Fox News Reveals Identity of Unnamed Trump Official Who Directed Flynn to Contact Russians” please click HERE)

Ancient Forbidden Christian Text of Jesus’ ‘Secret Teachings’ to His ‘Brother’ Found

Biblical scholars have discovered the first-known original Greek copy of an ancient forbidden Christian text that purportedly describes Jesus’ secret teachings to his “brother” James, an early leader of the Church.

Geoffrey Smith and Brent Landau, religious studies scholars at The University of Texas at Austin, located the rare text in Oxford University archives earlier this year. The experts found several fifth- or sixth-century A.D. Greek fragments of the First Apocalypse of James, one of the books from an ancient collection known as the Nag Hammadi library. Previously, the text was thought to be preserved only via translations in the Egyptian Coptic language.

Only a small number of texts from the Nag Hammadi library, a collection of 13 Coptic Gnostic books discovered in Egypt in 1945, have been found in Greek, their original language of composition. Also known as the “Gnostic Gospels,” the books are seen as key documents for understanding Gnosticism, an ancient belief system.

The First Apocalypse of James, like the other books in the Nag Hammadi library, was deemed heretical or forbidden by the church because it fell outside of the fourth-century religious boundaries that defined the 27-book New Testament.

Experts were thrilled by the discovery of the ancient fragments, which are owned by the Egypt Exploration Society. (Read more from “Ancient Forbidden Christian Text of Jesus’ ‘Secret Teachings’ to His ‘Brother’ Found” HERE)

Headline Writers Go Crazy Over Pooping Amazon Driver

Headline writers around the globe have gone wild over the story of an Amazon delivery driver who was caught on video pooping in a customer’s drive.

And there was a common theme.

“Pooping in gutter,” said Fox 40. “Driver poops,” said ABC. “Video shows woman pooping,” said CBS. “Driver caught pooping,” said WWLP. “SEE IT: Amazon delivery driver caught on video pooping,” said the New York Daily News.

One European publication varied that message, stating, “Ding dung. Amazon delivery driver caught having a poo on customer’s driveway after dropping of a package.”

The simple story is that homeowner Nemy Bautista is “down in the dumps,” according to the Huffington Post, after finding feces in front of his house and reviewing a security video that showed the Amazon driver, who later was relieved of her duties by Amazon. New Warning Over Trump Tweets

By Reuters. A series of tweets by U.S. President Donald Trump about the investigation into contacts between his 2016 campaign and Russia prompted concerns on Sunday among both Democratic and Republican lawmakers, with Republican Senator Lindsey Graham saying Trump could be wading into “peril” by commenting on the probe.

“I would just say this with the president: There’s an ongoing criminal investigation,” Graham said on the CBS program “Face the Nation.”

“You tweet and comment regarding ongoing criminal investigations at your own peril,” he added.

On Sunday morning, Trump wrote on Twitter that he never asked former FBI Director James Comey to stop investigating Michael Flynn, the president’s former national security adviser – a statement at odds with an account Comey himself has given.

That tweet followed one on Saturday in which Trump said: “I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President (Mike Pence) and the FBI.” (Read more from “New Warning Over Trump Tweets” HERE)

Trump Lawyer Takes Blame for Flynn Tweet: ‘I Did Not Mean to Break News’

By Joseph Weber. John Dowd, President Trump’s personal attorney, took responsibility Sunday for a Trump tweet about the president firing Michael Flynn as national security adviser that sparked speculation about Trump having obstructed justice.

“I did not mean to break news,” Dowd said. “I’m out of the tweeting business.”

Flynn on Friday pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI over conversations with to Russia’s ambassador to the United States after Trump was elected last year.

The guilty plea was part of deal Flynn struck in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into whether Trump associates colluded with Moscow during the 2016 presidential campaign.

“I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies,” said the tweet Saturday, on Trump’s official Twitter account. (Read more from “Trump Lawyer Takes Blame for Flynn Tweet: ‘I Did Not Mean to Break News'” HERE)

Obama Complains About Trump’s Move to Remove US From Paris Deal

Former President Barack Obama lamented Saturday President Donald Trump’s administration’s decision to pull the U.S. from the Paris climate accord.

“I grant you that at the moment we have a temporary absence of American leadership on the issue,” Obama said at an invitation-only event in Paris. Obama did not mention President Donald Trump by name, but he did allude to the administration’s move to opt out of the accord.

The U.S. remains on track to meet the agreement, he said, referring to a state-based coalition designed to fill the void left. Obama met with French President Emanuel Macron earlier in the day during a private conversation the French presidency did not publicize.

Obama did appear to recognize the frustration many Europeans are feeling about the EU’s increasing intrusion into people’s lives.

“I think for example that the European Union needs to recognize that micro-managing every single aspect of life within Europe gets people frustrated,” he said. (Read more from “Obama Complains About Trump’s Move to Remove US From Paris Deal” HERE)

The Other North Korea Weapon Threat

The world has been increasingly concerned in recent months about North Korea’s nuclear and missile tests, which indicate dictator Kim Jong Un could be capable of attacking just about anywhere in the world within months, says a report in Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

The communist regime this week launched a missile that could have traveled the entire breadth of the United States to Washington, D.C.

It’s no small threat, but it’s not the only one posed by North Korea’s missiles.

The other is its export of weaponry to other rogue nations, as well as terror groups.

The threat was highlighted by a Gatestone Institute report on North Korea’s export of chemical weapons to Syria. (Read more from “The Other North Korea Weapon Threat” HERE)

We’ll Soon Find out How Much Robert Mueller Has Spent on Trump-Russia Probe

The Justice Department is set to release a report next week that lays out how much Special Counsel Robert Mueller has spent on the investigation into Russian interference in the presidential campaign.

According to The Hill, the report will be made public and sent to Congress.

The document will provide the first insight into how much Mueller has spent on a sprawling investigation that is looking at Russia’s meddling in the presidential campaign as well as the activities of Trump campaign officials. Mueller is also investigating the business dealings of former Trump advisers, including campaign chairman Paul Manafort and former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Mueller indicted Manafort last month and secured a plea deal from former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos for lying to the FBI about contacts he had with Russians during the campaign. A former FBI director, Mueller is also keying in on Flynn’s consulting work last year for the Turkish government. Feds Sued for Refusing to Reveal Unclassified Report on Russian Meddling

Russia is all over the news these days. The Democrats charge the Russians colluded with the Trump campaign to get him elected. The GOP says Hillary Clinton’s financial windfall of some $140 million donated by Russians to her foundation should be investigated. It was Russian “sources” who supplied details of the largely discredited “dossier” about then-candidate Trump.

So when the government has details in an unclassified report about Russian intervention, it seems reasonable that information should be available to the public.

The Washington watchdog Judicial Watch, however, was denied access through a Freedom of Information Act request and filed a lawsuit against the office of the Director of National Intelligence.

The ODNI failed to respond to an Aug. 4, 2017, FOIA request seeking the intelligence community assessment required by Section 502 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2016, Judicial Watch said.

That law requires the DNI, “not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this act,” to give to congressional committees a report on the “funding of political parties and nongovernmental organizations in former Soviet states and countries in Europe by the Russian Security Service since January 1, 2016.” (Read more from “Feds Sued for Refusing to Reveal Unclassified Report on Russian Meddling” HERE)

Muslim Population to Triple in Europe by 2050

A revealing survey by Pew Research Center, ‘Europe’s Growing Muslim Population’, looks at the future of the 25.8 million Muslims currently residing in European countries. Citing a comprehensive swath of data, it is an attempt to see how the size of Europe’s Muslim population may change in the coming decades, depending on levels of migration.

All three scenarios – zero, moderate and high – considered by researchers produced a thought-provoking outcome: the number of Muslims in Europe will rise at any rate of migration, as they are younger and “have higher fertility (one child more per woman, on average) than other Europeans, mirroring a global pattern.”

Under a first, “zero migration” scenario, the Muslim population of Europe still would be expected to rise from the current level of 4.9 percent to 7.4 percent (roughly 36 million) by the year 2050 even “if all migration into Europe were to immediately and permanently stop.”

A second, “medium” migration scenario assumes that the flows of refugees stop, but “regular” migrants continue to come for reasons other than fleeing wars and instability. Under these conditions, Muslims could comprise 11.2 percent (59 million) of Europe’s population in 2050.

In a third, “high” migration scenario, the heavy influx of predominantly Muslim migrants recorded between 2014 and 2016 continues indefinitely. In this case, Muslims could make up 14 percent (75 million) of Europe’s population by 2050 – nearly triple the current figure. (Read more from “Muslim Population to Triple in Europe by 2050” HERE)

African Migrants Captured by Libyan Gangs Were ‘Cooked Like Kebabs’

A former Nigerian government official has come forward to tell the story of how Libyan slave traders captured African migrants, and cooked them “like kebabs.”

Former minister of culture for Nigeria Femi Fani-Kayode said many migrants from Africa traveled to the Mediterranean to improve their lives but ended up being enslaved instead, International Business Times reported Wednesday.

Three out of four people captured by these gangs hail from southern Nigeria, Fani-Kayode said. Nigeria has the largest Christian population in Africa, according to Pew Research Center.

“75% of those sold into slavery in Libya who have their organs harvested, bodies mutilated and who are roasted like suya [a kebab] are from southern Nigeria,” Fani-Kayode wrote. “Roasted alive! This is what Libyans do to sub-saharan Africans who are looking for a transit point to Europe.” (Read more from “African Migrants Captured by Libyan Gangs Were ‘Cooked Like Kebabs'” HERE)
