The Peace Process Is a Game Israel Can’t Win

Photo Credit: FrontPageMagNo matter what terrorist atrocity was committed against Israel yesterday, the call goes out for a return to the peace process today. For two long decades of terror that has never changed.

Diplomacy is a strange twisted business of lies, deceit and badly mixed drinks served at hotel bars that are a year away from being blown up. The motives are so twisted that everyone often ends up doing the opposite of what they set out to do. But even by the standards of international diplomacy where mixed motives and terrible ideas stew in a solid gold pot for years before they explode, the peace process between Israel and the PLO terrorists is in a horrible class of its own.

The one thing that everyone involved in the process, from the PLO terrorists to the Israelis to the international diplomats who arrive with a Bluetooth in one ear and a talking point in the other, can agree on is that it will never work. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not in a million years.

But that doesn’t mean that they’re about to stop.

Israel realized it wasn’t working a few years in after buses began blowing up more often than they were arriving on time. And the PLO can’t reach a final agreement because it’s not an independent actor. From its earliest days, before the Six Day War, it was a puppet of other countries. It’s still a projection of state power by Muslim countries in the region who want to perpetuate a conflict with Israel without spending too much money on bombs and guns.

Pentagon Official: Situation in Iraq Is ‘So F**ked’

Photo Credit: MOHAMMED SAWAF / AFP / GettyWith the crisis in Iraq worsening by the day, a ranking Pentagon official with knowledge of the situation has shed some light on the Obama administration’s inaction in an exclusive statement to TheDC.

“The Pentagon is split and the administration is paralyzed,” he said, calling the gridlock “horrendous.”

“Joint Chiefs Chairman [Martin] Dempsey is an asshat yes man,” he continued. “We have congressional authority to use force for the Iraq War, as it never expired, but people are putting targeting packets through unnecessary bureaucracy to slow events to the point that — they hope — the situation is overcome by events. Bad call. So fucked. Reads like another chapter in [Robert] Gates’s book.”

While the Iraqi government is accepting military assistance from Russia and Syria, the Obama administration has yet to authorize the airstrikes Iraqi officials have repeatedly asked for.

“Time is not on our side,” Iraqi ambassador to the U.S. said Tuesday. “Further delay only benefits the terrorists.”

'Ideal Aryan Baby' on Cover of Nazi Magazine Revealed to Be Jewish

Photo Credit: USC SHOAH FOUNDATIONA baby in a photo that was chosen by a Nazi magazine as the image of an ideal Aryan baby has been revealed to be Jewish.

Hessy Taft was six months old and living in Berlin in 1935 with her parents, Jacob and Pauline Levinsons, both singers.

At the time, Pauline Levinsons took Hessy to a popular photographer to have her portrait taken, The Telegraph reports.

Months later, Taft’s photo appeared on the cover of Sonne ins Hause, a popular Nazi family magazine.

Fearing that the family’s religion would be exposed, Pauline Levinsons demanded an explanation from photographer Hans Ballin, who said he knew the family was Jewish and submitted the photo in a contest.

Medical Staff Warned: Keep your Mouths Shut About Illegal Immigrants or Face Arrest

Photo Credit: Fox News By Todd Starnes.

A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses if they divulged any information about the contagion threat at a refugee camp housing illegal alien children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, sources say.

In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their identities because they fear retaliation and prosecution.

“There were several of us who wanted to talk about the camps, but the agents made it clear we would be arrested,” a psychiatric counselor told me. “We were under orders not to say anything.”

The sources said workers were guarded by a security force from the Baptist Family & Children’s Services, which the Department of Health and Human Services hired to run the Lackland Camp.

The sources say security forces called themselves the “Brown Shirts.”

Photo Credit: 10NewsControversy awaits as immigrants arrive in SD

By 10News Digital Team.

A plane carrying 140 undocumented immigrants, including lone children, landed at Lindbergh Field in San Diego Tuesday afternoon amid a brewing crisis over a surge of Central Americans crossing the U.S. border to escape poverty and crime in their home countries.

The charter jet from Texas left McAllan International Airport Tuesday morning. The immigrants were set to be bussed to Murrieta, where they would be processed at a Border Patrol office.

Awaiting them in Murrieta will be protesters.

This comes after President Obama in a news conference Monday called the spike in immigrants crossing into the U.S. through Texas a “humanitarian crisis.” On Monday, he asked for more than $2 billion to help with the situation. The president said he will go around Congress and shift resources to the border by the end of summer.

The U.S. is seeing a surge of immigrants from Central America due to rampant crime there, with a large number of those being unaccompanied children who are seeking to join their families.

Protesters Force Buses Carrying Immigrants to Leave Murrieta: Buses Diverted to San Ysidro

Photo Credit: Twitter A group of 140 Central American migrants who entered the United States illegally were flown from Texas to Lindbergh Field on Tuesday and then bused to a U.S. Border Patrol facility in Murrieta, where crowds of angry protesters prompted authorities to take them instead to San Ysidro.

The drivers of the three Department of Homeland Security coaches backed away from the Riverside County USBP facility and got onto southbound Interstate 15 in the late afternoon, re-entering San Diego County about 3:30 p.m.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Lauren Mack declined to disclose where the migrants were being taken, but by late afternoon, the buses were seen pulling into a Customs and Border Protection facility in San Ysidro.

According to Ron Zermeno, who is with the National Border Patrol Council, less than a dozen EMTs were conducting health screenings on the immigrants Tuesday evening. Paramedics are on scene supervising the screenings.

He told 10News two to three children were taken to the hospital for “unknown illnesses.” Their conditions were unknown. Zermeno says they are anticipating more could be taken to the hospital because many are unhealthy.

Mexico Sorry for Border Crossing, But US Marine's Apology Not Enough

Photo Credit: Fox News Mexican military officials are apologizing for firing from a chopper at two U.S. Border Patrol agents early Thursday, but one lawmaker says the incident draws a disturbing contrast with the case of Andrew Tahmooressi, the U.S. Marine sergeant whose apology for accidentally crossing the border hasn’t spared him a legal nightmare.

Mexican authorities were conducting a drug interdiction operation on the Tohono O’odham Indian Nation, which straddles the border, when they strayed into U.S. air space and fired at the agents, who were not injured. The reservation is a hotbed for drug smuggling, and authorities from both governments have conducted operations on it.

“Early [Thursday] morning, a Mexican law enforcement helicopter crossed approximately 100 yards north into Arizona nearly eight miles southwest of the Village of San Miguel on the Tohono O’odham Indian Nation while on a drug interdiction operation near the border,” U.S. Customs and Border Patrol spokesman Michael Friel said. “Two shots were fired from the helicopter but no injuries or damage to U.S. property were reported. The incident is currently under investigation.”

Teen Sparks Outrage with Photos of Dead African Animals

Photo Credit: Facebook A teenage hunter from Texas has sparked outrage on Facebook by posting pictures of herself posing with animals she has hunted and killed in Africa.

Nearly 40,000 people have signed a petition asking the social media website to remove numerous photos posted by 19-year-old Kendall Jones, according to The Huffington Post.

The photos show Jones with dead or tranquilized African animals she had hunted, including a lion, rhino, antelope, leopard, elephant, zebra and hippopotamus.

The petition reads: “For the sake of all animals, especially the animals in the African region … where hunters are going for gun just to kill an animal! Some people have been reporting the pages lately but it seems Facebook is not concerned about what Kendall Jones is promoting in her page.”

The photos show Jones with a big smile as she strikes poses next to the downed animals. In addition to the pictures, Jones typically writes a short description to inform users about the context of the photo.

Is the Obama Administration Muzzling Meriam Ibrahim Defenders?

Photo Credit: National Review State Department officials, under pressure since Sudanese woman Meriam Ibrahim and her American family were prevented from leaving the country for the United States, have discouraged congressional leaders from speaking out publicly on behalf of them, advocates for the family say.

Ibrahim, a Sudanese woman sentenced to death for apostasy before the government ultimately overturned her conviction, was arrested for a second time on her way out of the country. Her husband, American citizen Daniel Wani, was also arrested.

The State Department said this week that Ibrahim’s family wanted members of Congress to “keep quiet” about her case, according to a religious-liberty advocate whose organization works with the Ibrahim family’s lawyers in Sudan.
“And that’s simply not true,” says Tina Ramirez, founder of Hardwired, which provides legal training in Sudan on religious liberty, told National Review Online. State was “lying” about the wishes of the Ibrahim family, she says. “I don’t know why they would say such a thing.”

Ramirez explained that the State Department told members of Congress that Meriam Ibrahim’s husband and her brother-in-law, Gabriel (who lives in New Hampshire), had asked that Congress stand down.

U.N. Experts Trace Recent Seized Arms to Iran, Violating Embargo

Photo Credit: REUTERS / HEINZ-PETER BADERA U.N. expert panel has concluded that a shipment of rockets and other weapons that was seized by Israel came from Iran and represents a violation of the U.N. arms embargo on Tehran, according to a confidential report obtained by Reuters on Friday.

The finding comes just days ahead of the next round of negotiations in Vienna between Iran and six world powers aimed at securing a deal that would gradually lift international sanctions on Tehran — including the arms embargo — in exchange for curbs on the controversial Iranian nuclear program.

Despite Israel’s public statements that the seized arms were destined for Gaza — an allegation that Gaza’s governing Islamist militant group Hamas dismissed as a fabrication — the experts said the weapons were being sent to Sudan.

The experts do not speculate in the report about why the arms were being sent to Sudan, a country which Western diplomatic and intelligence sources have told Reuters has in the past been a conduit for Iranian arms shipments to other locations in Africa, as well as the Gaza Strip.

The experts said the Israeli U.N. mission wrote to the U.N. Iran Sanctions Committee on March 13 about “the transfer of rockets, mortars and related materiel from Iran to Sudan.”
