AOC Was Actually Facing an Empty Parking Lot During Emotional Border Protest Photo Op

Clutching her face in despair and weeping, photos of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez seemingly show her strong reaction to a horrific scene of US migrant detention. However, new angles reveal she may have played things up a bit.

While quite a few people noted that there was something a bit off about the congresswoman’s photo shoot at a border detention policy protest that went viral this week, there was nothing concrete to indicate her insincerity… until one gets a look at the massive empty road and parking lot on the other side.

Originally shot at a protest against tent-cities for migrant children at the US-Mexico border in Texas a year ago, the photos were not published until Monday. They came hot on the heels of the scandal surrounding AOC’s insistence that border detention facilities are “concentration camps.”

AOC Takes Aim at Ivanka Trump over ‘Career Qualifications’ — It Doesn’t End Well for AOC

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) lashed out at Ivanka Trump over the weekend, lecturing the first daughter about career qualifications. . .

Ocasio-Cortez criticized Ivanka after French President Emmanuel Macron’s office released video showing Ivanka conversing with world leaders, including Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and British Prime Minister Theresa May, the New York Post reported. . .

However, because Ivanka is a White House senior adviser — albeit unpaid — who routinely engages in diplomatic work on the president’s behalf, she also mingled with world leaders at the summit in Japan. . .

Critics of Ocasio-Cortez noted that questioning Ivanka’s career qualifications is ironic given that prior to her election to Congress last year, Ocasio-Cortez worked as a bartender.

“Being the daughter of a billionaire and President of the United States is a hell of a lot better qualification than being a socialist bartender,” one person told AOC in response.

Chick-Fil-A During Sunday’s Pride Parade

A Chick-fil-A in Manhattan was vandalized during a Pride Parade on Sunday, photos sent to the Daily Caller show, with messages scrawled on the glass and taped on the doors and windows.

There was no property damage nor any physical injury outlined in the report (Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays), but the vulgar messages graffitied onto the fast food restaurant were designed to intimidate.

Aside from the outright vandalism, there was plenty of hostility on display for the chicken sandwich joint during the parade.

The effort to silence — or, in the case of Chick-fil-A perhaps “starve” — the restaurant and its patrons is nothing new. it has happened time and again, with LGBT or other leftist groups attempt to drive the Christian-owned business off school campuses and out of towns. . .

In many ways the Pride movement has become indistinguishable from the #Resist Trump movement, which is itself increasingly seeing blurred lines with groups like Antifa, who infamously beat and robbed a journalist over the weekend. (Read more from “Chick-Fil-A During Sunday’s Pride Parade” HERE)

Previously Deported Asylee and Child Molester Indicted on Child Porn Charges

Fontana Herald News reports that a previously deported child molester has been apprehended by authorities and was indicted on Thursday by a federal grand jury on charges of child pornography as well as illegal re-entry into the United States.

José Ramón Aguilar-Moreno, 50, was deported in 2003 after being convicted of sexually abusing a child. However, Aguilar-Moreno was only allowed in the country at that time because he was granted asylum by U.S. authorities in 2000. “Aguilar-Moreno illegally entered the United States in 1986 and in 1995 he applied for relief from removal and requested asylum in the United States,” the paper notes.

The Salvadoran national then re-entered the United States after his removal in 2003 but was discovered in 2018 in Fontana, California. Authorities found him because “Aguilar-Moreno used an alias, ‘Abel Aguilar,’ and posted the videos on Facebook, which later notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, court documents allege,” according to Fontana Herald News. On Thursday, he was officially indicted. . .

Last Wednesday, the United States Border Patrol arrested a previously deported child molester after catching the pervert sneaking into the United States with five other illegal aliens who were traveling as a family unit in Tucson, Arizona. Trump Rape Accuser: ‘I Have Not Been Raped’

E. Jean Carroll can’t get out of her own way. I simply don’t know what to make of this:

“Every woman gets to choose her word. Every woman gets to choose how she describes it. This is my way of saying it. This is my word. My word is ‘fight.’ My word is not the victim word. I have not been raped. Something has not been done to me. I fought.”

Okay, either it was rape or it wasn’t. I understand Carroll’s point that she doesn’t want to think of herself as a victim. But are we supposed to accept that she’s not claiming she was raped because she says she wasn’t, or are we supposed to assume she’s claiming she was raped anyway? Are we supposed to #BelieveWomen or not?

Here’s yet another bizarre twist. Trump’s defenders are now pointing to a 2012 episode of Law & Order: SVU that depicted a similar scenario:

Poll Reveals That Americans Completely Overestimate Size of Homosexual Population

A new Gallup poll suggests most Americans vastly overestimate how large the gay community is in the United States.

According to the survey, released Thursday, a majority of people believe close to one in four (23.6 percent) people are gay or lesbian.

Americans have continuously overestimated the size of the gay population in recent years—estimating 24.6 percent in 2011 and 23.2 percent in 2015. Only about 4.5% of Americans self-identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender, according to an earlier Gallup study. But in this most recent poll, conducted in May, just 9 percent of respondents estimated under 5 percent. (Another 11 percent guessed between 5 and 10 percent.)

“Exactly who makes up the LGBT community and how this group should be measured is a subject of some debate,” Gallup pointed out in 2012. “There are a number of ways to measure lesbian, gay, and bisexual orientation, and transgender status. Sexual orientation can be assessed by measuring identity as well as sexual behaviors and attractions.” . . .

And the growing number of young people identifying as LGBT can also color perception. A 2017 GLAAD study found that 20 percent of Millennials identified as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer. That’s nearly three times higher than Baby Boomers (7 percent) and significantly more than Gen-Xers (12 percent.) Mom Charged with Unborn Baby’s Death After Woman Shoots Her in Stomach out of Self-Defense

On Wednesday, an Alabama woman who was shot in the stomach last year was indicted in the death of her unborn baby girl.

During a dispute regarding the baby’s paternity in December 2018, the mother, identified as Marshae Jones, was shot in the stomach by another female out of what police said was self-defense; the baby, who was at about five months’ gestation, died from the gunshot wound.

Jones, 27, was indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury on a manslaughter charge and taken into police custody, AL.com reported. The woman who shot Jones, 23-year-old Ebony Jemison, had a manslaughter charge against her dismissed after a grand jury failed to indict her in the death of the baby girl, the outlet noted.

The dispute between Jones and Jemison occurred outside a Dollar General. Police were called to the location after Jones was shot by Jemison, but when they arrived, the mother was gone. Jones was later found at a convenience store and taken to a nearby hospital, where the baby was pronounced dead.

“The investigation showed that the only true victim in this was the unborn baby,’’ said Pleasant Grove police lieutenant Danny Reid after the shooting, according to AL.com. “It was the mother of the child who initiated and continued the fight which resulted in the death of her own unborn baby.” (Read more from “Mom Charged with Unborn Baby’s Death After Woman Shoots Her in Stomach out of Self-Defense” HERE)

Dramatic Video Shows Rescue of Newborn Girl from Plastic Bag

A Georgia sheriff released dramatic body-cam video Tuesday showing the rescue of a newborn girl who was found alive inside a plastic bag in the woods. The little girl, nicknamed “Baby India,” was discovered on June 6 and has drawn national attention as officials are still attempting to locate her mother.

According to Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Baby India was found on 10 p.m. tied in plastic bag on the side of Davos Creek Road. She was located only after a family in a nearby home heard her crying in a heavily forested area in Forsyth Count.

A video taken by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office was made public on Wednesday showing her discovery. Officials are hoping it will generate tops in locating the girl’s parents or finding out why she was abandoned.

The video shows deputies tearing open the plastic bag containing the child as she cries. Then, they wrap her in a blanket to keep her warm. Hospital workers decided to call the girl Baby India, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. (Read more from “Dramatic Video Shows Rescue of Newborn Girl from Plastic Bag” HERE)

Rainbow Pride Flag Replaces POW/MIA Flag at Veterans Memorial Plaza — and Public Outcry Is Ignited

By The Blaze. Veteran John “Bill” Williams recalled to WRC-TV that he was in Vietnam just six days before two fellow service members were shot down, declared missing in action, “and they still haven’t found their bodies.”

Such losses are why the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Plaza in Rockville, Maryland, means so much to Williams.

And it’s also why he was upset that the plaza’s POW/MIA flag was replaced with an LGBTQ rainbow flag for pride month, the station said. . .

It was the first time a rainbow pride flag flew at the Veterans Memorial Plaza, which is outside the Montgomery County executive office building, WRC said.

Montgomery County Council member Evan Glass, the council’s first LGBTQ member, helped celebrate the raising of the pride flag last week, the station added. (Read more from “Rainbow Pride Flag Replaces POW/Mia Flag at Veterans Memorial Plaza — and Public Outcry Is Ignited” HERE)

Pride Flag Replaces POW/Mia Flag at Montgomery County Executive Building

By NBC Washington. . .The POW/MIA flag was replaced by the LGBTQ pride flag for the month of June, pride month.

“I wasn’t happy about it at all because the park is supposed to be a veterans park,” Williams said. “People died. Now they took it down and put another flag up.”

“The flag post was only able to accommodate one flag, and when we learned of that, we are quickly, the county government, is quickly changing it,” Glass said. “So we’re adding more ringlets so that by tomorrow morning both flags will be raised.”

“If they want to put the other flag underneath, they could put it underneath, but the POW flag should be flying there,” Williams said.

The POW/MIA flag was put up again after the public outcry on Tuesday, and both flags are now back up, County Executive Mark Elrich said. (Read more from “Pride Flag Replaces POW/Mia Flag at Montgomery County Executive Building” HERE)

Grand Jury Refuses to Indict Woman Charged with Assaulting Pro-Life 82-Year-Old

A grand jury refused to indict a woman charged with assaulting an 82-year-old pro-life activist outside Kentucky’s only remaining abortion clinic, the Courier Journal reported.

Janaya Alyce Gregory, 32, was charged with second-degree felony assault after surveillance video showed her approaching Donna Durning outside EMW Women’s Surgical Center April 12 and allegedly pushing her to the sidewalk. Durning was hospitalized with a broken leg that required surgery and rehabilitation. . .

During, a longtime anti-abortion activist, told the Courier Journal in a separate article she was at the clinic on the day of the incident as a part of the local “40 Days for Life” campaign involving her church. . .

The woman initially ignored Durning but then “turned back around and charged at the victim, bumping [the] victim with her body and causing [the] victim to fall backward,” the Courier Journal reported, citing the criminal complaint.

Surveillance video shows the woman walking toward a waiting car as Durning approached her on the sidewalk. After the woman reached the car, she turned around, walked toward Durning, and appears to make contact with the victim.
