Illegal Aliens Get Minimum Sentence for Killing Couple, Raping Little Girl

Two illegal aliens received prison sentences of 12 to 20 years, one for killing a young couple in a sanctuary city and another for raping a 12-year-old girl.

The Angel Family of 34-year-old Logan Wilson and his wife 32-year-old Jessica Wilson is outraged after an illegal alien was sentenced to just 12 years in prison after killing the young couple in a drunk driving crash in August 2018 in the sanctuary city of Marion County, Oregon.

Weeks ago, illegal alien Eduardo de la Lima Vargas from Mexico received a sentence of 12 years after killing the Wilsons, leaving their three young children now without parents, in a drunk driving crash where the couple’s motorcycle was wedged under the illegal alien’s pickup truck, Breitbart News originally reported. . .

A separate case last month ended with an illegal alien convicted of raping a 12-year-old Mississippi girl receiving a sentence of 20 years, the minimum sentence for statutory rape of a child in the state.

Valentin Ariosto Alfonso-Arguello, a 38-year-old illegal alien, received just 20 years in prison with eight years suspended for coercing a 12-year-old girl into giving him her phone number, then raping her in his truck after getting off work. Bishop Faces MAJOR Backlash over Tweet Against Pride Month

A Roman Catholic bishop from Rhode Island is facing backlash for a tweet labeling LGBTQ Pride Month events as “especially harmful for children” and arguing that those who follow the faith should not support them.

Bishop of Providence Thomas Tobin sent the message on Saturday, the first day of LGBTQ Pride Month and argued that the events in the honorary month “promote a culture and encourage activities that are contrary to Catholic faith and morals.” . . .

The largely hostile response to Tobin’s tweet prompted him to trend on the social media site and thousands of users have responded since. On Sunday, he released a statement saying he regretted that his comments “turned out to be so controversial in our community, and offensive to some, especially the gay community.” . . .

Tobin said that the Catholic Church has “respect and love for members of the gay community, as do I … As a Catholic bishop, however, my obligation before God is to lead the faithful entrusted to my care and to teach the faith, clearly and compassionately, even on very difficult and sensitive issues.”

New Poll Shows How Americans Really Feel About Abortion

The latest Harvard Center for American Political Studies and Harris poll revealed that a majority of American voters believe that abortions should be legal up until the first trimester, or only in cases of incest and rape. Far fewer participants believe that women should be able to have an abortion during the third trimester, or up until the moment of birth.

The poll, conducted online within the United States from May 29-30, 2019 among 1,295 registered voters, found that 41% of voters believe abortion should only be allowed in cases of incest and rape. 29% believe that abortion should be legal up until the first trimester.

The survey also found that just 6% of Americans believe abortion should be the allowed until the moment of birth, 8% of Americans believe it should be allowed in the third trimester, and 17% believe that it should be allowed in the second. . .

This polling comes as several states have passed pro-life laws in recent weeks which limit abortions to when a heartbeat is detected in the baby or at the moment of conception, drawing the ire of pro-abortion Democrats and 2020 presidential contenders. Now Disney Wants to Boycott Georgia

By Daily Wire. On Wednesday, CEO of the Walt Disney Co. Bob Iger signaled a pull-out in Georgia over the state’s new “heartbeat” legislation, which bans abortion after unborn babies’ heartbeats are detected (around six-weeks gestation). . .

“I think many people who work for us will not want to work there, and we will have to heed their wishes in that regard. Right now we are watching it very carefully,” the CEO continued.

“I don’t see how it’s practical for us to continue to shoot there” if the law goes into effect, Iger added.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican, signed the pro-life bill into law on May 7, ignoring threats of a Hollywood boycott spearheaded by actress Alyssa Milano. In March, some 50 actors signed onto a letter penned by the abortion activist to Georgia House Speaker David Ralston and the governor threatening a boycott. Georgia has become a magnet for Hollywood projects in large part due to the state’s 30% tax rebate for film and TV production.

WarnerMedia Joins Disney and Netflix in Considering Georgia Retreat over Abortion Law

By Deadline. A day after Disney CEO Bob Iger said it would be “difficult” for the media giant to produce TV shows and films in Georgia given its strict new abortion law, WarnerMedia has said it will also pull out of the law survives legal challenges.

“We operate and produce work in many states and within several countries at any given time and while that doesn’t mean we agree with every position taken by a state or a country and their leaders, we do respect due process,” the company said in a statement provided to Deadline. “We will watch the situation closely and if the new law holds we will reconsider Georgia as the home to any new productions. No Punishment for College Professor Who Called for Murder of Cops

By California Globe. A State Assembly resolution would urge University of California directors to remove a professor who made horrific remarks on social media about killing cops. However, last week Democrats refused to even hear the resolution.

Assemblyman James Gallagher (R-Yuba City) authored H.R 22, which urges the University of California to remove English Professor Joshua Clover from the classroom and terminate his employment at the University of California, Davis. . .

“Can’t we at least agree there is no place for this on our taxpayer funded campus and condemn these hateful statements?” Gallagher asked on Facebook, after his colleague Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez posted a video about his H.R 22 being killed by Democrats. “The Democrats killed that Resolution,” Melendez said. “They won’t even allow it to be heard; they won’t even allow it to be discussed.”

“This is someone in our state schools, paid for with tax dollars…” Melendez said. The resolution simply called for his comments to be condemned by university officials. “Sadly, the Democrats decided no action needed to be taken, and not even to be discussed.”

Planned Parenthood Spreads Their Biggest Lie of All

By WND. The repeated claim by the president of Planned Parenthood that “thousands” of women died before the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling because they lacked access to safe abortion is a “big lie” that was spread by activists a half century ago, according to a co-founder of the leading pro-abortion group NARAL.

In a 1990 interview with WND Vice President David Kupelian, Bernard Nathanson, M.D., who once was head of the nation’s largest abortion clinic, observed that “repeating the big lie often enough convinces the public.”

He said that he and other abortion activists prior to the Roe decision “constantly fed to the media” the figure of 10,000 women dying annually from illegal abortions. The actual figure, he said, was about 200 to 250 annually. . .

Last week, nevertheless, in an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Planned Parenthood President Leana Wen said: “We’re not going to go back in time to a time before Roe when thousands of women died every year because they didn’t have access to essential health care.”

Washington Post Gives ‘4 Pinocchios’ to Planned Parenthood President for False Abortion Claim

By Fox News. The president of Planned Parenthood has repeatedly spread a false claim about “thousands” of women who died due to a lack of safe abortion access before the Roe v. Wade decision, the Washington Post reported Wednesday.

“We’re not going to go back in time to a time before Roe when thousands of women died every year because they didn’t have access to essential health care,” said Dr. Leana Wen on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” last week. . .

In a fact-check piece, Glenn Kessler rated the claim with “Four Pinocchios,” writing that Wen’s statements were “derived from data that is decades old.”

“Even given the fuzzy nature of the data and estimates, there is no evidence that in the years immediately preceding the Supreme Court’s decision, thousands of women died every year in the United States from illegal abortions,” Kessler wrote, adding that abortion advocates “hurt their cause” with such unproven claims.

He added that the information was “debunked in 1969 — 50 years ago — by a statistician celebrated by Planned Parenthood,” and that the claim relies on statistics from before antibiotics were being used, when fatal complications were far more likely. Senator Claims Abortion Activist Threatened to ‘Rape’ His Wife over Alabama Abortion Ban

The family Republican state senator who vocally supported Alabama’s new law banning almost all abortions says his family has had to endure online threats of violence from pro-abortion advocates outraged by the law, including threats that they were going to break into his house and rape his wife.

Earlier this month, Alabama Republican Gov. Kay Ivey signed into law the Alabama Human Life Protection Act, which criminalizes abortion for any reason other than to “avert (a mother’s) death or to avert serious risk of substantial physical impairment of a major bodily function,” or “if a second physician who is licensed in Alabama as a psychiatrist” diagnoses a “serious mental illness” with a “reasonable medical judgment that she will engage in conduct that could result in her death or the death of her unborn child.” . . .

Over the weekend, Gudger appeared on Alabama Public Television to discuss the fallout from the vote, Breitbart reports, revealing in the process the toll it’s taken on his family.

“It’s been tough dealing with the balancing of my wife and my children being attacked,” Gudger told host Don Dailey. “I obviously don’t like that part. No one should be attacked or threatened with harm for a difference of opinion. Louisiana Lawmakers Approve Strict Abortion Limit, Dem. Governor Says He Will Sign It

By NPR. The Louisiana House approved a strict new abortion law barring the procedure once a heartbeat is detectable, a point before many women may realize they are pregnant.

By a vote of 79-23, the lawmakers banned abortions as early as six weeks of pregnancy. Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards said in a statement that he “ran for governor as a pro-life candidate,” and intended to sign the abortion ban.

“As I prepare to sign this bill, I call on the overwhelming bipartisan majority of legislators who voted for it to join me in continuing to build a better Louisiana that cares for the least among us and provides more opportunity for everyone,” he said.

2020 Candidate DEFENDS Late-Term Abortions, Claims They’re ‘Hypothetical’

The 2020 Democratic presidential candidates thus far have all taken a position supporting abortion without limit. At the federal level, abortion is legal in the United States up to nine months of pregnancy. While some states have enacted prohibitions on abortion — including restricting the procedure after a certain point in pregnancy — other states permit abortions without exception.

Mayor Pete Buttigieg called abortion a “national right” and an “American freedom” during the recent Fox News Presidential Town hall. Host Chris Wallace asked Buttigieg, “[D]o you believe — at any point in pregnancy — whether it’s at six weeks or eight weeks or 24 weeks or whenever — that there should be any limit on a woman’s right to have an abortion?”

Buttigieg responded, “I trust women to draw the line when it’s their own bodies.” He then proceeded to downplay the number of late-term abortions done annually, first calling them “hypothetical,” and then when Wallace corrected him, downplaying and inaccurately representing the percentage of late-term abortions among all abortions in the United States. . .

Buttigieg then suggested that late-term abortions were “hypothetical.” . . .

But according to the most recent data reported to the CDC in 2015, abortions committed at 21 weeks gestation or greater represent approximately 1.3 percent of all reported abortions. This 1.3% statistic is also quoted by Guttmacher, which gathers more comprehensive abortion data. The fact is, abortionists control the abortion data on later abortions and only a small number of states even require abortion data by gestation. And therefore, these numbers are not definitive. Incredible: Smallest Recorded Baby, Born at 23 Weeks, Is Now Going Home Healthy

A baby who was born at less than a pound in San Diego, and who was the smallest-recorded surviving infant in the world, has gone home five months after being born as a healthy baby, according to the Associated Press.

Saybie (the name used by the doctors caring for the baby at the hospital) was born at 23 weeks and three days, and weighed in at a mere 8.6 ounces at birth. She was able to go home this month, weighing about five pounds after spending five months in neonatal intensive care.

“After experiencing severe pregnancy complications, Saybie’s mother gave birth via emergency cesarean section at 23 weeks, 3 days gestation in the womb,” a hospital representative said at a press conference. “Doctors said the preterm birth was necessary after they found that the baby was not gaining weight and her mother’s life was at immediate risk.” . . .

Saybie’s inspiring story of survival comes during a time when the abortion debate is as contentious as it has ever been. States such as Alabama, Georgia and Louisiana have passes pro-life laws establishing the right to life for unborn babies and banning abortions at six weeks of pregnancy, or in Alabama’s case, altogether (except to save the life of the mother). Pope Francis Breaks Silence on Recent Abuse Scandal

After nearly a yearlong silence, Pope Francis has officially addressed allegations that he knew about the sexually abusive Cardinal Theodore McCarrick and lifted sanctions that were imposed on him by Pope Benedict XVI.

In an 11-page letter released in August of last year, Archbishop Viganò, former Nuncio from the Vatican to Washington, D.C., alleged that Cardinal Theodore McCarrick had been sanctioned under Pope Benedict XVI only to have those sanctions removed by Pope Francis upon his ascendancy in 2013. Cardinal McCarrick had an alleged history of sexually abusing male seminarians and, according to Viganò, was ordered by Pope Benedict to refrain from saying Mass or public ministry.

Monsignor Jean-François Lantheaume, the former first counsellor at the apostolic nunciature in Washington, D.C., said flatly that Viganò “said the truth” in his letter, which was followed by several other high-ranking prelates testifying to Viganó’s respectable character.

Shortly after the letter dropped, Pope Francis elected to remain silent and maintained that protocol until this past Tuesday when he told Mexican journalist Valentina Alazraki that he “knew nothing” about Cardinal McCarrick’s behavior and did not remember if Archbishop Viganò ever informed him about the sanctions.
