Woman Pleads Guilty to Poisoning Military Husband’s Coffee With Bleach, Caught on Hidden Camera (VIDEO)

Melody Felicano Johnson, aged 40, pleaded guilty on Monday to charges related to attempting to poison her estranged husband, a U.S. airman, by contaminating his coffee with bleach. The incident, which unfolded amidst ongoing divorce proceedings, came to light after the husband detected an unusual taste in his coffee.

According to reports from Law & Crime, the husband, upon noticing the peculiar taste, employed pool chemical testing strips on his coffee, revealing a high level of chlorine. Subsequently, he installed a hidden camera, which captured Johnson pouring bleach into the coffee maker.

The discovery occurred in the backdrop of the couple’s marital discord, stemming from when the airman was stationed in Germany in March 2023. The incriminating footage obtained from the hidden camera showed Johnson engaging in the act of poisoning on various occasions. Notably, one video dated July 16, 2023, distinctly captured her pouring bleach from a larger bottle into a smaller one before proceeding to the coffee maker. Another clip from July 5 depicted her engaging in the same activity while in a more vulnerable state, draped in just a towel.

Documentation revealed that Johnson’s husband refrained from reporting the incident while in Germany, opting instead to feign consumption of the tainted coffee to avoid confrontation.

With her guilty plea entered, Johnson now awaits sentencing scheduled for May 10.

One of Oldest Christian Liturgical Books Expected to Bring in More Than $2.6M

One of the oldest Christian liturgical books is expected to sell for more than $2.6 million at an auction in London.

The Crosby-Schøyen Codex was written on Egyptian papyrus from around 250-350 A.D., and produced in one of the first monasteries.

“It’s right at that period, that transitional period, when papyrus scroll starts turning into codex form,” Eugenio Donadoni, Christie’s Senior Specialist, Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts, told Reuters. “So, books as we know them today. And what we have in this book is the earliest known texts of two books of the Bible.”

According to auction house, Christie’s New York, the book is expected to fetch between $2.6 million to $3.8 million.

Physically Healthy Woman Decides to Be Euthanized Due to Crippling Depression

A physically healthy 28-year-old Dutch woman has decided to legally end her life due to her struggles with crippling depression, autism and borderline personality disorder, according to a report.

Zoraya ter Beek, who lives in a small village in the Netherlands near the German border, is scheduled to be euthanized in May — despite being in love with her 40-year-old boyfriend and living with two cats.

Ter Beek, who once aspired to be a psychiatrist, has been dealing with mental health struggles throughout her life.

She said she decided to be euthanized after her doctors told her, “There’s nothing more we can do for you. It’s never gonna get any better,” according to The Free Press. . .

More people are deciding to end their lives while suffering from a slew of other mental health problems like depression or anxiety amplified by economic uncertainty, climate change, social media and other issues, The Free Press reported. ‘Caitlyn’ Jenner Expresses Disgust with Biden’s ‘Transgender Day of Visibility’

Former Olympic medal-winner Caitlyn Jenner has slammed President Joe Biden for his declaration of Easter Sunday 2024 as “Transgender Day of Visibility.”

“I am absolutely disgusted that Joe Biden has declared the most Holy of Holy days — a self proclaimed devout Catholic — as Transgender Day of Visibility,” Jenner wrote Saturday on X (formerly Twitter).

“The only thing you should be declaring on this day is ‘HE is Risen,’” Jenner added.

On Good Friday, President Biden issued an official proclamation of March 31 as “Transgender Day of Visibility,” preempting Christians’ celebration of Easter Sunday.

“We honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives,” Biden said in the proclamation. Mom Stunned to Give Birth to Twins 22 Days Apart: ‘Genuinely Couldn’t Believe It’

. . .A UK mom gave birth to twins 22 days apart in different hospitals, baffling doctors and other twin moms.

“To this day, I still can’t find a woman in the UK who can beat 22 days,” Kayleigh Doyle, 22, told SWNS of the gap between births.

Doyle became pregnant with the twins in October 2020, recalling that all of her scans were normal.

She says she didn’t have any complications until she felt labor pains on March 15, 2021.

“I was aware of all the risks that came with having twins. I even paid for private [doctor] appointments because I was so worried about complications,” she said. “When I hit 22-and-a-half weeks, literally, I was in bed and had the worst pain of my entire life. Tragedy: 45 Dead After Bus Crashes off Cliff En Route to Easter Church Service

Forty-five Christians are dead and a young girl seriously injured after a bus crashed off a cliff in South Africa en route to an Easter church service.

The bus crash reportedly took place in Limpopo, the northernmost province of South Africa, and occurred after the vehicle veered off a cliff and burst into flames upon hitting the ground. According to various reports, the lone survivor of the accident was an 8-year-old girl who was now receiving medical attention at a nearby hospital.

The group was reportedly from Botswana and headed to Moria, South Africa, for Easter church services as Christians around the world prepare to commemorate the resurrection.

“I am sending my heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the tragic bus crash near Mamatlakala,” said South African Minister of Transport Sindisiwe Chikunga. “Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. CDC: Measles Cases Reported So Far in 2024 Already Surpassed Those Reported in All of 2023

Fewer than three months into 2024, there have already been more measles cases reported in the U.S. than were reported during all of 2023, according to data posted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The CDC indicates that as of March 21, there had been 64 measles cases reported, compared to just 58 reported in all of 2023.

“As of March 21, 2024, a total of 64 measles cases were reported by 17 jurisdictions: Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York City, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington,” the CDC reported.

But that figure pales in comparison to the 2019 number, which was much higher. “From January 1 to December 31, 2019, 1,274 individual cases of measles were confirmed in 31 states,” the CDC noted. “This is the greatest number of cases reported in the U.S. since 1992.” (Read more from “CDC: Measles Cases Reported So Far in 2024 Already Surpassed Those Reported in All of 2023” HERE)

School District Hiring Superintendent to ‘Examine’ Role of ‘Whiteness’

A Minnesota school district is hiring a new assistant superintendent who will be expected to “examine” the presence of “Whiteness.”

St. Louis Park Public Schools just outside Minneapolis posted the job description for the position on the district’s job board.

The job, with a salary between $134,141 and $201,212, will focus specifically on injecting “anti-racism” into the district’s culture.

“[T]he Assistant Superintendent proactively supports the Superintendent to create and communicate anti-racist structures and systems, works to interrupt systems of oppression, and serves as a role model for culturally relevant pedagogy,” reads the job description.

Supreme Court To Hear Major Case On The Abortion Pill

The Supreme Court will hear on Tuesday a major challenge to the abortion pill brought by doctors and medical associations.

In FDA v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, one of two cases on abortion the Supreme Court will hear this term since overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022, the justices will consider the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) decision to roll back safety regulations for the chemical abortion drug mifepristone. Doctors who sued the FDA contend that the removal of safety standards once deemed “essential” makes it more likely women will require medical treatment, forcing OB-GYNs and emergency room doctors to address the “serious complications caused by these drugs.”

“My moral and ethical obligation to my patients is to promote human life and health,” Dr. Ingrid Skop, a member of the plaintiff organization American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AAPLOG), wrote in a declaration. “But the FDA’s actions may force me to end the life of a human being in the womb for no medical reason.”

In 2021, the FDA allowed distribution of mifepristone through the mail and removed the requirement for an initial in-person visit. Earlier, in 2016, the agency removed many of the safeguards implemented when the pill was approved in 2000, allowing it to be used through ten weeks of pregnancy, rather than seven. Day Care Shuts Down After Teacher Is Accused of 25 Counts of Physical and Sexual Abuse of Children

A day care was asked to shut down by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services after a teacher was accused of physical and sexual abuse of children.

The Boomer Kids Club in the city of Woodward agreed to the request on Friday according to KFOR-TV.

Woodward Police Department Capt. Darren Navratil said that 19-year-old Tyler Kniest was accused of abusing children while working at the day care. . .

“We did come up with about a total of, including the original eight incidences of child sexual abuse, and about sixteen instances of physical abuse,” said Navratil. “Some of them were repeated on the same children.” . . .
