Chinese Mother Testifies About 13 Million Forced Abortions a Year – It Amounts to ‘Torture’

At a hearing of the Congressional Executive Commission on China on Thursday, a Chinese woman who is pregnant with her second child — and who fled to the United States with her husband and son — said the official government policy change from one-child to two will not stop forced abortions that number at least 13 million a year and amount to the “torture” of Chinese women.

“A majority, but not all, families will meet the criteria and be allowed to keep their second child,” Sarah Huang – not her real name – said in her prepared testimony, which she gave from an undisclosed location through an interpreter. “However, clearly China’s change to a two-child policy is not enough.”

“Chinese families who attempt to have two children could still be subject to coercive and intrusive forms of contraception and forced abortions, which amount to torture,” Huang said.

“The Chinese government data report that 13 million abortions are performed each year, for an average rate of 35,000 abortions per day,” Huang said. “I personally believe the number is much higher because these statistics only include hospitals that report their figures and most abortions occur in unauthorized ‘black’ clinics or at home.”

Senate Set to Ignore Obama Veto Threat, OK Bill Targeting Planned Parenthood

Openly welcoming a preordained veto, Senate Republicans drove legislation toward passage Thursday aimed at crippling two of their favorite targets: President Barack Obama’s health care law and Planned Parenthood.

Senate approval, which the House is expected to rubber stamp soon, would for the first time put legislation on Obama’s desk demolishing his 2010 health care overhaul, one of his proudest domestic achievements. Congress has voted dozens of times to repeal or weaken the law, but until now Democrats have thwarted them from shipping the legislation to the White House.

Republicans said an Obama veto would underscore that a GOP triumph in next year’s presidential and congressional elections would mean repeal of a statute they blame for surging medical costs and insurers abandoning some markets. They lack the two-thirds House and Senate majorities they would need to override a veto, assuring that the bill’s chief purpose will be for campaign talking points.

“They can keep trying to talk past the middle class,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said of Democrats, who he said were ignoring complaints about the law. “They can keep trying to deny reality. But they have to realize that no one is buying the spin but them.”

Influence of Churches, Once Dominant, Now Waning in South

Prayers said and the closing hymn sung, tea-drinking churchgoers fill Marble City Grill for Sunday lunch. But hard on their heels comes the afternoon crowd: craft beer-drinking, NFL-watching football fans.

Such a scene would have been impossible just months ago because Sunday alcohol sales were long illegal in Sylacauga, hometown of both the actor who played TV’s Gomer Pyle and the white marble used to construct the U.S. Supreme Court building. While the central Alabama city of 12,700 has only one hospital, four public schools and 21 red lights, the chamber of commerce directory lists 78 churches.

Actor James Woods has noticed a double standard at the New York Daily News . . .

However, after a December 2 shooting in San Bernadino, California, the Daily News ran a headline saying “GOD ISN’T FIXING THIS.” While the coverage of the #PrayForParis campaign was positive, the December 3 cover story was critical of politicians who are praying for the California victims, the Daily News arguing that “cowards who could truly end gun scourge continue to hide behind meaningless platitudes.”

World Health Organization Report: Trannies 49 Times Higher HIV Rate

A new study from the World Health Organization shows how dangerous it is to become “transgender.”

The WHO performed a meta-analysis of 15 different countries and found that men who dress as women are 49 times more likely to contact the HIV virus than the general population. Men who dress as women and also prostitute themselves are nine times more likely to contract HIV than those who do not prostitute themselves.

Such devastating news is never included in the “transgender” narrative that is sweeping American culture, including the school system. Breitbart News reported this week about a school system in Wisconsin that tried to feature the book I am Jazz, an illustrated children’s book that tells the story of a gender confused 15-year-old boy who has become one of the breakout stars in the trans firmament. The school board makes the claim that a boy can have a girl brain, something not supported by science.

What is not discussed with school children or anyone else is the dark-side of the trans world. Walt Heyer, who lived for years as a woman, hosts a website called “Sex-Change Regret” that tells the horror stories of those who have tried to live the trans life. The Secret to a Happy Marriage: It’s All in Your Height Difference

The greater the height difference between a married couple, the happier the wife will be – according to a new study by researchers at Konkuk University in Seoul, South Korea.

Analysing data from 7,850 women from a long-term population survey, researchers found a greater height difference in a couple was positively related to the wife’s happiness – although that relationship weakened gradually over time, and tended to dissipate entirely after 18 years of marriage.

“The long period of the dissipation indicates a powerful impact of male height on women’s psychology, probably prepared by evolution,” said lead researcher Kitae Sohn.

“Although it has been known that women prefer tall men in mating for evolutionary reasons, no study has investigated whether a taller husband makes his wife happier.”

According to a 2014 study by Rice University and the University of North Texas titled “Does Height Matter? An Examination of Height Preferences in Romantic Coupling,” 48.9 per cent of women insisted on dating men who were taller than they were. Here’s What Walmart Despicably Told a Marine When He Tried to Collect Toy Donations Inside Store

An Ohio Walmart’s decision to bar a former active-duty Marine from collecting donations for a children’s charity inside the store has prompted outrage online.

John Harkness says he’s collected donations for Toys for Tots, a program from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve that gives toys to underprivileged youth for Christmas, at that location for almost 15 years, CBS reports.

But this year, a new store manager is enforcing a long-standing company policy, in place since around 2000, that does not allow charities to solicit donations inside. “They made us stay outside,” Harkness said.

Several upset customers have now complained about the policy on Walmart’s official Facebook page. An image featuring a photo of Harkness standing outside along with the words “He can bleed and die, but he can’t stand inside” has circulated online. NFL Star: Black Lives Don’t Matter When Politicians Enable Generational Dependency

New Orleans Saints’ tight end Benjamin Watson used his Facebook account Tuesday to call attention to his views on the Black Lives Matter movement. A view that is critical of abortion, fathers who abandon their children and politicians who “enable generational dependency.”

Watson, the author of “Under Our Skin: Getting Real About Race – And Getting Free From The Fears and Frustrations That Divide Us,” is using social media to link people to a blog post where he discusses his thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement.

“Some contention is with the very phrase itself. This is problematic, though, because ‘black lives matter’ in context is clearly comparative to them not mattering. It obviously does not exist in a vacuum thus a response of ‘all lives matter’ is disingenuous at best and outright insulting at worst,” Watson’s blog post from late August reads. “It SHOULD go without saying that ‘all lives matter,’ including black lives, unborn lives, elderly lives, affluent and poor lives, Christian and atheist lives. But, today, in light of our present societal struggles and racial tension the question is worth addressing. As Americans, do black lives matter to us?”

Later in the post, the outspoken Christian athlete focuses on some of the ways he feels Black lives don’t and do matter in this country. Here are some selected excerpts: . . .

“Black lives don’t matter when some politicians enable generational dependency, stifling individual responsibility while others completely deny the importance of programs that are needed to help the marginalized. A crutch is the vital friend of the injured, it’s ultimate purpose to one day be laid aside as it’s former dependent walks on their own. If it oversteps its purpose the user will no longer feel the need to walk. Erroneously, they may not even think they can ever do so. Pro-Life Leaders Slam Carson After His Planned Parenthood Shooting Comments

Pro-life leaders are used to being accused of hate speech by Planned Parenthood, Hillary Clinton, and campus feminist activists. But they were surprised to hear Dr. Ben Carson seem to agree that they spewed “hateful” and “immature” rhetoric on Sunday.

When CBS moderator John Dickerson asked Dr. Carson whether Planned Parenthood was right that pro-life rhetoric had led to Friday’s shooting inside a Colorado Springs abortion facility, the doctor readily agreed. There is “no question the hateful rhetoric exacerbates the situation,” Carson said on “Face the Nation.”

Pro-life advocates quickly rebuffed the notion that they had pushed 57-year-old Robert Lewis Dear to kill three people.

“Dr. Carson is sorely misinformed,” Lauren Muzyka, the executive director of Sidewalk Advocates for Life, told LifeSiteNews.

“The only thing that’s extreme is Planned Parenthood’s desire to see abortion without restriction through all nine months of pregnancy while they capitalize off dismembering preborn children and parting them out for sale,” she said. Universities Are Dominated by Left-Wing Hate Mobs Says Professor

University students and teachers are becoming increasingly ‘hard-line’ and intolerant, shouting down anyone who does not conform to their world view, a British professor has said.

Antony Glees, an expert in counter-terrorism who teaches at the University of Buckingham, said that left-wing staff and students have become more militant over the past 10 years, with chilling effects on free speech.

Professor Glees said he was heckled at recent panel discussion on the government’s “Prevent” anti-terror strategy after he spoke up in favour of the scheme. He said there was a “feeling of menace” after was “cynically jeered at” and branded a racist by students and even other lecturers.

He also said he was “mindlessly heckled” and branded a “white, male, colonialist, Zionist and racist” by one student after he criticised protesters who stopped the Israeli ambassador speaking at universities . . .
