Shock Resignation: Trump Celebrates Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Exit as “Great News for the Country”

President Donald Trump reacted swiftly Friday night to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) surprise announcement that she will resign from Congress, calling the decision “great news” for the United States.

“I think it’s great news for the country,” Trump told ABC News in a brief phone interview. The president said that Greene had not informed him of her plans in advance but appeared unconcerned, adding, “Nah, it doesn’t matter, you know? But I think it’s great. I think she should be happy.”

Greene, who represents Georgia’s 14th District, announced that her last day in office would be January 5, 2026. Her resignation caps a dramatic and very public falling-out with Trump, whom she has supported since entering Congress and throughout his political comeback.

The split between the two formerly close political allies escalated over the past several weeks. Trump recently withdrew his endorsement of Greene and signaled that he would support a primary challenger if one emerged.

In her resignation statement posted to X, Greene said she would not force her constituents, or herself, through a bitter primary fight fueled by the president she helped elect.

“I have too much self-respect and dignity, love my family too much, and do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President we all fought for,” she wrote.

Greene argued that such a battle would drain tens of millions of dollars and could weaken Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections, all while forcing her to defend Trump against impeachment efforts after “he hatefully dumped tens of millions of dollars against me and tried to destroy me.”

“It’s all so absurd and completely unserious,” she said. “I refuse to be a ‘battered wife’ hoping it all goes away and gets better.”

Greene emphasized her long-standing loyalty to Trump, pointing out that she left her mother’s side during her father’s brain surgery in order to vote against Trump’s second impeachment in 2021. She noted that her voting record has aligned with the president and Republicans “almost entirely,” except on several key issues including:

Opposition to H-1B visa policies she believes displace American workers

Foreign military involvement

Pushing for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files

“Loyalty should be a two way street,” Greene wrote, arguing that Republican lawmakers should be able to vote according to conscience and the interests of their constituents without being branded disloyal to Trump.

Greene also addressed criticism she received from Trump and allies for supporting legislation to compel the Department of Justice to release remaining Epstein-related files. Trump allegedly called her a “traitor” and a “lunatic” over the effort, despite the Epstein scandal remaining a high-profile topic among many conservatives.

“Standing up for American women who were raped at 14, trafficked and used by rich powerful men, should not result in me being called a traitor and threatened by the President of the United States of America, whom I fought for,” she wrote.

Greene’s decision brings an abrupt end to a term defined by outspoken advocacy for Trump, frequent breaks with Republican leadership, and national controversy. A major figure in the MAGA movement, Greene rose to prominence by railing against the political establishment, supporting hardline policy positions, and promoting conspiracy theories on social media and in public remarks.

Bill, Hillary Clinton Threatened With Contempt of Congress as House Expands Jeffrey Epstein Probe

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) has ordered Bill and Hillary Clinton to appear for depositions next month for the panel’s investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein — or face possible contempt of Congress.

Comer initially subpoenaed the former first couple on Aug. 5 to answer questions about their relationship with Epstein — but the Clintons’ attorney in a Nov. 3 response had asked for his clients to make merely “a written proffer of what little information” they have.

“Given the admission that your clients possess some relevant information, your position amounts to a demand that the Committee forgo in-person testimony, potentially relevant to its legislative oversight,” the powerful GOP chairman said.

“Additionally, your suggestion that your clients’ testimony would not be relevant to the stated purposes of the Committee’s investigation because the events in question took place outside of the Clintons’ respective official duties misses the Committee’s point,” Comer added.

“It is precisely the fact President Clinton and Secretary Clinton each maintained relationships with Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell in their personal capacities as private citizens that is of interest to the Committee.” (Read more from “Bill, Hillary Clinton Threatened With Contempt of Congress as House Expands Jeffrey Epstein Probe” HERE)

Famous Rapper Received Over $100 Million in Foreign Cash to Help Obama Win, Gets 14 Years in Prison

. . .Fugees rapper Prakazrel “Pras” Michel has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for illegally funneling millions of dollars in foreign cash to former President Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign.

The Brooklyn-born Grammy winner — who co-founded the hip hop group with singers Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean — stayed mum as U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly handed down the hefty sentence Thursday in Washington, DC.

Michel, 52, also received three years of probation and was ordered last month to forfeit $64 million linked to the federal crimes.

The “Ready or Not” rapper was found guilty in April 2023 of 10 counts of conspiracy and acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government — after a high-profile trial that included testimony from actor Leonardo DiCaprio and former Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Michel ran an international scheme in which he took $120 million from Malaysian financier Low Taek Jho, who wanted to gain political influence in the United States, the Justice Department said. Trump’s “Lovefest” with Mamdani in the Oval Office: Another MAGA Split in the Making?

. . .Zohran Mamdani’s high-stakes White House meeting turned into a Freaky Friday lovefest – as President Trump lauded the socialist mayor-elect and predicted he’ll make New York City great again.

A sitting Trump, with Mamdani standing by his side behind the Resolute Desk, heaped praise on the democratic socialist, jovially touching his arm as he helped him dodge tough questions and unexpectedly predicted his mayoralty will be a success.

“I think he wants to make it greater than ever before,” Trump told reporters. “And if he can, we’ll be out there cheering. I’ll be cheering for him.”

The erstwhile foes’ gobsmackingly friendly joint appearance came after a 45-minute closed-door sit-down in the Oval Office, which they both touted as productive and focused on Mamdani’s core campaign issue of affordability.

“He’s different than your typical guy,” Trump said, adding Mamdani “has a chance to really do something great for New York.”

Traitor Who Sold American Secrets to Israel Hammers Trump as “Madman”

According to a report from the New York Times, [convicted spy Jonathan] Pollard met with Huckabee at the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem in July for a discussion that was “kept off Mr. Huckabee’s official schedule,” and revealed for the first time on Thursday.

. . .In his interview with the Times, Pollard also attacked President Trump, calling him a “madman who has literally sold us down the drain, for Saudi gold.”

Pollard, a former U.S. intelligence analyst, was sentenced to life in prison in 1987 after it was discovered that he had been selling American secrets to Israel, including the names of thousands of U.S. intelligence agency sources.

Pollard was released from prison in 2015 and moved to Israel in 2020 – flying on a private jet owned by top Trump donor Sheldon Adelson to Tel Aviv, where he was given a hero’s welcome by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In 2021, Trump pardoned Aviem Sella, the Israeli handler who recruited Pollard to spy on the United States. (Read more from “Traitor Who Sold American Secrets to Israel Hammers Trump as “Madman” HERE)

Top Conservative Pollster Says Trump Abandoning MAGA, Setting Up the GOP to be “Crushed”

Respected conservative pollster Richard Baris, known for his accurate reads on voter sentiment and one of the few who correctly forecasted Trump’s wins in both 2016 and 2020 when most others failed, has issued a stark “5-alarm” warning to President Trump and the MAGA movement. In analysis following the recent off-year elections in Virginia and New Jersey, Baris uncovered a troubling trend: significant drop-off among Republican voters who simply stayed home. While losses in deep-blue states were expected, the sheer scale of GOP abstention points to deeper MAGA discontent that could spell serious trouble for the 2026 midterms.

Baris, director of Big Data Poll and a regular on Steve Bannon’s War Room, stresses that traditional kitchen-table issues like the economy, immigration, and crime, are not what’s killing enthusiasm right now. Instead, his post-election surveying in New Jersey and Virginia revealed two standout grievances: Trump’s perceived sidelining of domestic priorities in favor of foreign entanglements (particularly, the administration’s focus on Israel) and his gross mishandling of the Epstein files release. The recent government shutdown ranked a very distant third.

Trump’s initial dismissal of Epstein questions as a “Dem hoax” landed poorly with a base that sees elite accountability and the Deep State as core reasons they voted for him. As Baris noted on X while quoting his earlier warnings: “Five months after our early warning poll, it’s becoming mainstream knowledge the mishandling of the #EpsteinFiles played a bigger role in the decline of Trump’s approval than some wanted to believe . . . I tried, CK. I did.”

Baris’s reference to Charlie Kirk (“CK”) was an apparent reminder that he had warned Kirk and others in the Trump orbit months earlier that downplaying or bungling the Epstein release would demoralize key voter demographics.

In a separate appearance relayed by Trump administration alum Grace Chong, Baris told Bannon bluntly: GOP voters feel the administration “got sidelined with things they did not care about,” and the shutdown only compounded the malaise. “The right needs a wake-up call,” he said. “They need to change this fast or they are going to get crushed.”

These frustrations are now showing up in broader polling, with Trump’s approval ratings softening amid nonstop attacks from Democrats, the media, and even 2028 hopefuls inside the party. Many in the base remain furious over the continued lack of accountability for Deep State figures despite repeated promises to drain the swamp.

The clear message is: don’t panic yet, but act immediately. There is still time to course-correct before the midterms, but pretending Democrats are too extreme to stage a comeback ignores recent history like New York City’s extreme leftward lurch. Baris’s track record makes his alarm impossible to dismiss as establishment spin, especially since he’s one of the only pollsters praised by Trump for his accuracy.

The path forward, according to Baris and other pro-MAGA analysts, is straightforward: refocus relentlessly on what actually animates the base: crushing inflation and economic pain, sealing the border, fighting crime in the streets, releasing the Epstein files unredacted, and delivering real prosecutions of the Deep State. If the President ignores this, the GOP will get crushed in 2026.

Trump Blasts ABC Reporter Over Questions on Saudi Business Ties and Khashoggi Killing

President Trump sharply rebuked ABC News on Tuesday and suggested the network should lose its broadcast license after Chief White House Correspondent Mary Bruce questioned him in the Oval Office about his family’s business connections with Saudi Arabia and the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Bruce pressed Trump during his meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, asking whether the Trump family’s Saudi business ventures presented a conflict of interest. Trump immediately bristled, accusing ABC of being part of what he called a “hoax” and labeling the network “one of the perpetrators.”

“I think the license should be taken away from ABC because your news is so fake and is so wrong,” Trump said. “And we have a great commissioner, a chairman, who should look at that.”

Despite the heated exchange, Trump did answer the question, asserting that he was not involved in Trump Organization decisions and had stepped away from the company entirely while serving as president. He maintained that any business dealings undertaken by his family were legitimate and minimal in Saudi Arabia. “What my family does is fine,” Trump said. “They’ve done very little in Saudi Arabia, actually, though I’m sure they can do a lot.”

Bruce’s questions also touched on a more internationally sensitive issue: the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusion that the crown prince approved the 2018 killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi. Trump dismissed the characterization and defended the Saudi leader while downplaying Khashoggi’s significance. “You’re mentioning somebody that was extremely controversial,” he said. “A lot of people didn’t like that gentleman.” Trump added that the crown prince “knew nothing about it” and suggested that raising the question in front of the Saudi leader was disrespectful. “You don’t have to embarrass our guest,” he said.

The ABC correspondent also asked Trump why he called on Congress to release the Jeffrey Epstein files rather than ordering their release himself. Trump again responded by calling Bruce “fake news” and criticizing her demeanor rather than the substance of the question. “It wasn’t the question that I mind,” Trump said. “It’s the way you ask these questions. I think you are a terrible reporter.”

Bruce’s questions, while pointed, were grounded in topics that have been publicly documented. The Trump Organization has had past business discussions and interests in Saudi Arabia, including hotel branding and development efforts before Trump took office, making the subject of potential conflicts of interest a legitimate area of inquiry.

Additionally, U.S. intelligence agencies have publicly concluded that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman approved the 2018 killing of Jamal Khashoggi, and those findings have been acknowledged by multiple administrations.

On the Epstein matter, Trump’s call for Congress to release the files despite having the authority to release certain federal materials himself also raised a factual contradiction worth examining.

While Trump objected to Bruce’s tone and approach, the subjects she raised were based in evidence and public record. However, the president perceived both the line of questioning and its tone as intentionally combative and disrespectful.

Mike Huckabee Held ‘Friendly’ Embassy Meeting With Convicted Israeli Spy

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee reportedly held a quiet, off-the-books meeting in July with convicted Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard at the American Embassy in Jerusalem.

The off-the-books meeting startled officials in Washington and inside the U.S. intelligence community, who viewed the encounter as an extraordinary breach of long-standing boundaries, The New York Times reported. According to three U.S. officials familiar with the matter, the CIA station chief in Israel raised alarm after learning Huckabee and his senior adviser David Milstein brought Pollard into a secure American facility for what Pollard described as a “friendly” conversation.

Pollard told the NYT it was the first time in 10 years that any U.S. official had hosted him inside an American government office. He confirmed the meeting only after the newspaper approached him.

“It was a friendly meeting,” Pollard told the NYT in a phone interview Wednesday.

The White House was not notified in advance, according to one senior official and two people briefed on the meeting. Those officials said West Wing aides reacted with shock when they learned Huckabee invited one of the most infamous spies of the Cold War into the embassy. The State Department did not say whether anyone approved the meeting. (Read more from “Mike Huckabee Held ‘Friendly’ Embassy Meeting With Convicted Israeli Spy” HERE)

Senior citizen who saved himself from would-be mugger heading to prison because of NYC’s ‘draconian’ laws

A Queens senior citizen who shot dead a man who tried to rob him will spend four years in prison after admitting to toting an unlicensed revolver — as his lawyer ripped the city’s “draconian” gun laws.

Charles Foehner, 67, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal weapons possession Thursday in a deal to end his case more than two years after he fatally shot would-be thief Cody Gonzalez, who charged at him near his Kew Gardens home.

The Queens District Attorney’s Office chose not to prosecute Foehner, a retired doorman, for Gonzalez’s killing after he told cops that he’d defended himself from a mugger who lunged at him late at night holding what looked like a knife — but which turned out to be a pen.

But prosecutors slapped Foehner with a slew of weapons raps for the unlicensed handgun and for an arsenal of illicit handguns, revolvers and rifles inside his home in the quiet neighborhood.

Foehner took the plea deal to avoid a trial, where he faced 25 years in prison on gun charges that are not hard to prove, said his attorney Thomas Kenniff after Thursday’s hearing in Queens Supreme Court. US Coast Guard denies claim it will stop classifying swastikas as hate symbols: ‘Categorically false’

The US Coast Guard denied claims it’s revising its policies to reclassify hate symbols, including the swastika and nooses, as “potentially divisive” symbols — slamming the suggestion as “categorically false.”

The claim, first reported by the Washington Post on Thursday afternoon, picks apart the Coast Guard’s “Harassing Behavior Prevention, Response, and Accountability” manual that was approved this month.

The military branch flatly denied the outlet’s report that it was planning to reclassify its list of hate symbols

“The claims that the U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify swastikas, nooses or other extremist imagery as prohibited symbols are categorically false,” Admiral Kevin Lunday, acting commandant of the US Coast Guard, wrote in a statement on X. “These symbols have been and remain prohibited in the Coast Guard per policy. Any display, use or promotion of such symbols, as always, will be thoroughly investigated and severely punished.”

“The Coast Guard remains unwavering in its commitment to fostering a safe, respectful and professional workplace. Symbols such as swastikas, nooses and other extremist or racist imagery violate our core values and are treated with the seriousness they warrant under current policy.” (Read more from “US Coast Guard denies claim it will stop classifying swastikas as hate symbols: ‘Categorically false’” HERE)
