Donald Trump Responds to NYT Admission on Hunter Biden Emails

Former President Donald Trump on Friday responded to the New York Times admitting the emails found on a laptop at a repair shop in Delaware belonged to Hunter Biden and are authentic.

Trump said in a statement: “The New York Times just admitted that it participated in an effort to rig the election for Joe Biden.”

“Read the article by the New York Post here,” he added, linking to a scathing New York Post editorial slamming the Times for ignoring its breaking reporting on the emails two years ago, not attempting to authenticate the emails at that time, and printing Democrats’ statements calling the reports’ credibility into question.” (Read more from “Donald Trump Responds to NYT Admission on Hunter Biden Emails” HERE)

Fake News Forever: ‘Russian Hoax’ Media Claim About Hunter’s Laptop Uncorrected

The establishment media on Friday failed to retract reporting that Hunter’s “laptop from hell” was “Russian disinformation.”

Specifically, the Huffington Post, The Intercept, and MotherJones have failed to retract reporting on a now-debunked Politico story from 2020 that claimed Hunter’s laptop was “Russian disinfo,” according to “dozens of former intel officials.”

The media took Politico’s headline and spread their own disinformation. “Giuliani and the New York Post Are Pushing Russian Disinformation. It’s a Big Test for the Media,” MotherJones published.

The outlet elaborated, “That is, the Post piece, based on an unproven smear, is in sync with Moscow’s ongoing effort to influence the 2020 election to help President Donald Trump retain power.”

The Intercept pushed the same narrative. “This week, a group of former intelligence officials issued a letter saying that the Giuliani laptop story has the classic trademarks of Russian disinformation.” (Read more from “Fake News Forever: ‘Russian Hoax’ Media Claim About Hunter’s Laptop Uncorrected” HERE)

Now That Joe Biden’s President, The Times Finally Admits: Hunter’s Laptop Is Real; WH Won’t Defend Claim Post’s Hunter Biden Laptop Scoop Was ‘Russian Plant’

By New York Post. Forgive the profanity, but you have got to be s–tting us.

First, the New York Times decides more than a year later that Hunter Biden’s business woes are worthy of a story. Then, deep in the piece, in passing, it notes that Hunter’s laptop is legitimate.

“People familiar with the investigation said prosecutors had examined emails between Mr. Biden, Mr. Archer and others about Burisma and other foreign business activity,” the Times writes. “Those emails were obtained by The New York Times from a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop. The email and others in the cache were authenticated by people familiar with them and with the investigation.”

Authenticated!!! You don’t say. You mean, when a newspaper actually does reporting on a topic and doesn’t just try to whitewash coverage for Joe Biden, it discovers it’s actually true?

But wait, it doesn’t end there. In October 2020, the Times cast doubt that there was a meeting between Joe Biden and an official from Burisma, the Ukrainian gas company for which Hunter was a board member. “A Biden campaign spokesman said Mr. Biden’s official schedules did not show a meeting between the two men,” the Times wrote, acting as a perfect stenographer. Psaki Won’t Defend Claim Post’s Hunter Biden Laptop Scoop Was ‘Russian Plant’

By New York Post. White House press secretary Jen Psaki didn’t even bother trying to defend her past claim that The Post’s reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop was “Russian disinformation” after the New York Times belatedly verified emails from the cache.

Psaki was pressed Thursday at her regular briefing about her own misleading remarks and those of then-candidate Joe Biden.

“The New York Times has authenticated emails that appear to have come from a laptop abandoned by Hunter Biden in Delaware,” began RealClearPolitics reporter Philip Wegmannn. “The president previously said that the New York Post story about this was ‘a bunch of garbage‘ and that it was a ‘Russian plant.’ Does he stand by that assessment?”

Psaki deflected without answering for Biden’s misinformation, which helped fuel Big Tech censorship of The Post’s reporting in the days prior to the 2020 election.

Although she was asked about President Biden’s comments on the laptop, Psaki replied, “I’d point you to the Department of Justice and also to Hunter Biden’s representatives. He doesn’t work in the government.”. (Read more from “Psaki Won’t Defend Claim Post’s Hunter Biden Laptop Scoop Was ‘Russian Plant’” HERE)

Russia Says Three Tennessee National Guard Members Killed in Ukraine. Pentagon Says “Nyet”

The National Guard Bureau is refuting claims that Tennessee National Guard members were killed in Ukraine, rebuking what officials called a “patently false” Russian media report.

Russian media outlet Pravda reported that three members of the Tennessee National Guard died while fighting in Ukraine, calling the men “mercenaries,” and even listing names for those they claimed died.

“The three soldiers identified in the article are either current or former members of the Tennessee National Guard,” the NGB statement reads. “They are accounted for, safe and not, as the article headline erroneously states, US mercenaries killed in Donetsk People’s Republic.”

NGB’s statement also accused Russian media of targeting the individuals because of articles from 2018 carried on the Pentagon website DVIDS. Photos were taken of the troops at the time because they were deployed as part of the Multinational Training Group-Ukraine under the Tennessee Guard’s 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment. DuckDuckGo Is Now Censoring

I would not use Google; it’s both censorware and spyware. And I would not trust Bing, or Yahoo, which is powered by Bing, for the same reason. Such reasoning is why many of us switched to DuckDuckGo in the last few years, despite the fact that Bing is one of their sources. In addition to supporting user privacy, when I switched, they seemed to be of decent quality and, importantly, not to be censored.

Unfortunately, that seems to have changed. Read this from DDG’s CEO:

Very well, now DuckDuckGo’s CEO has as good as declared that they, too, have been censoring their results (I’ve been wondering, frankly) and as a company are not afraid to announce censorship policies.

Now, let’s be clear. I have no issues with search engines using a wide variety of methods of determining the most relevant and useful search results. A search engine need not be strictly a popularity contest, for example, a la Google. But when a search engine specifically declares that it will censor (yes, down-ranking is a kind of censorship) “sites associated with Russian disinformation”, that signals that they have set themselves up to be arbiters of what counts as political “disinformation.” That is not a role I want a search engine to play; as a conservatarian, I would not even want a search engine to weed out left-wing establishment views from results, because I want to know what those people are saying, too. Chinese Charged With Trying to Fix a US Congressional Race

Unsealed files have revealed a plot by five people working on behalf of Chinese secret police to stalk and harass a US military veteran running for Congress, and to spy on an artist. . .

The perpetrators went to “outrageous and dangerous” lengths to do so, the Department of Justice said. . .

The co-conspirators allegedly tried to “interfere with federal elections” by orchestrating a campaign to undermine the US congressional candidacy of a military veteran who was once a leader of the 1989 pro-democracy demonstrations in Beijing. . .

The details of the allegations revealed on Wednesday, allege [Chinese PRC agent] Mr Lin hired a private investigator in New York to disrupt the Brooklyn man’s congressional campaign, including “by physically attacking” him.

The man had been a student leader of the pro-democracy demonstrations in Tiananmen Square in 1989, who had escaped to America, become a citizen and served in the US military. (Read more from “Chinese Charged With Trying to Fix a US Congressional Race” HERE)

Lawyer for Mother of Hunter Biden’s Child Says He Expects President’s Son to Be Indicted

A lawyer for the mother of Hunter Biden’s 3-year-old daughter expects the president’s son “to be indicted” for tax fraud, a report said.

Attorney Clint Lancaster made the stunning prediction while confirming in an interview with CNBC that his client Lunden Roberts recently testified in Delaware before a federal grand jury in the criminal investigation into the 52-year-old presidential scion.

“I expect him to be indicted,” Lancaster told the outlet, referring to Hunter Biden. “Just based on what I saw in his financial records, I would be surprised if he’s not indicted.”

Lancaster said Roberts, the 31-year-old mother of Hunter Biden’s young daughter, handed over “a significant amount of Hunter’s financial records” to federal prosecutors after being subpoenaed last month. Smartmatic Lawsuit Against Trump Lawyer Sidney Powell Dismissed

A judge in New York has dismissed Sidney Powell, who brought multiple legal cases challenging the processes and procedures used by Democrats to defeat President Donald Trump in the 2020 election, from a lawsuit brought by one of the several voting machine companies that were offended by concerns about possible inaccuracies in the voting tabulations.

MSN reports that New York State Supreme Court Judge David B. Cohen this week dismissed Powell from the Smartmatic lawsuit, even as company officials said they’d brought similar claims against Powell in another jurisdiction.

“We’ve already filed a lawsuit in D.C. and asked to stay the proceedings until the New York court ruled,” a company official said.

The ruling left standing Smartmatic’s complaint against Rudy Giuliani, Fox News and several Fox News personalities.

Reuters explained the company alleges it was falsely accused of helping to rig the 2020 results in favor of Joe Biden. (Read more from “Smartmatic Lawsuit Against Trump Lawyer Sidney Powell Dismissed” HERE)

Rand Paul Slams Republicans Who Voted to Keep Fauci but Impeach Trump

Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul slammed a group of five Republican senators who voted Tuesday against his amendment to remove Dr. Anthony Fauci but had once voted in favor of impeaching former President Donald Trump.

“I guess I’m not surprised that Republican senators who voted to get rid of Donald Trump voted to keep Anthony Fauci,” Paul said in an exclusive statement to the Daily Caller. “Disappointed but not surprised. I think if Republican voters in their home states learn of this vote to keep Anthony Fauci, these voters will be very unhappy.”

Republican Sens. Richard Burr of North Carolina, Susan Collins of Maine, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah and Jerry Moran of Kansas all voted against the amendment.

The same group of senators also voted to convict Trump, with the exception of Moran, who criticized the former president but said he would not vote to convict Trump because it could establish a dangerous precedent. Report: News Organization Found ‘Missing’ Hunter Biden, Secret Service Emails

The behavior in recent years by Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, has raised any number of questions about Joe Biden’s connections to overseas companies, his actions involving corruption in Ukraine and more.

But two U.S. senators investigating some of the incidents involved have been told by the Secret Service the federal agency cannot find emails or other records regarding its work to arrange travel for Hunter Biden while Joe Biden was vice president for Barack Obama.

Now a news agency, Just the News, has suggested the Secret Service look in the drive for the laptop computer Hunter Biden abandoned at a repair shop. . .

It is Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Ron Johnson, R-Wis., who have been trying to obtain some of that information about Hunter Biden, only to be met with a response from Secret Service Director James M. Murray that, “The Secret Service worked extensively with your committees, and agreed to search parameters provided by your office as to identify communications regarding Mr. Biden’s travel. These search parameters did not yield communications for the years 2010, 2011, or 2013.”

But Solomon has reported, “In fact, Just the News found about five dozen emails between Hunter Biden and his Secret Service handlers on the FBI-seized laptop for those same years, as well as other ones in other years that Senate investigators said they had not previously seen.” (Read more from “Report: News Organization Found ‘Missing’ Hunter Biden, Secret Service Emails” HERE)
