Supreme Court Commission Concludes, Sends Report to Biden — And Indicates Good News if You Read Between the Lines

The commission that President Joe Biden established to examine an expansion of the Supreme Court voted Tuesday to hand over a nearly 300-page report to the president that details what the panel determined.

However, Americans hoping for an expanded and packed high court will be thoroughly disappointed with the report.

The 288-page report — authored by a 34-member panel that included 29 liberals and just five conservatives — did not offer substantive recommendations, either for expanding the Supreme Court or maintaining the status quo.

Instead, the report academically details a summary of multiple arguments about reforming the Supreme Court, such as its expansion, court-packing, judicial term limits, reducing its power, and other practices of the court.

People With Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Have 1700% Greater Risk of Getting Guillain-Barré Syndrome, Paralysis: Study

People who receive the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine are at elevated risk of getting a severe autoimmune disorder that can cause paralysis, according to a new study.

Researchers used data from the Vaccine Safety Datalink, which is run by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). They found (pdf) 21 potential cases, 11 of which were confirmed, of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) in people who got the shot. Most happened with 13 days of vaccination.

The incidence rate of confirmed cases per 100,000 person-years was 34.6 during the 1 to 21 days after administration, much higher than the historical background rate of 2 per 100,000 person-years. . .

The study validates findings from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), a passive reporting system run by the CDC and the Food and Drug Administration, the researchers said.

A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in October, analyzing data from the system, found a “potential small but statistically significant safety concern for Guillain-Barré syndrome following receipt” of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Major City to Spend $500 Million Teaching Kids to Obsess About Sex and Race

Last week, fifth-grade teacher Amy Parker took the pages of the education site Chalkbeat to celebrate New York City’s initiative to promote “culturally responsive education” in its public schools. Parker introduces her essay by lamenting that “School taught me to hide who I was and what I valued” because it didn’t assign books with characters who had gay parents. But, at the same time, Parker also complains that she “was overly represented in the books [she] read and the classes [she] took.”

To make up for this injustice, Parker has now committed herself to providing a “culturally responsive and sustaining education” or “CRSE.” This means that she will pick texts on the basis of “representation” and “diversity” and emphasize racial and sexual identity in all her lessons. Instead of learning about the world and how to contribute to it, her students will now learn about themselves and how to become “agents of change.”

For these courageous efforts, New York City will support Parker and other teachers like her with a gargantuan sum of money: “Over the course of three years, almost $500 million will be allocated to CRSE so that our students are reflected in what and how they learn.”

While everyone is certainly entitled to her opinions, even bad ones, this becomes a problem when it comes with such a high price tag and threatens to become the dominant position of an entire profession. I may not teach in New York, but even here in Texas, this kind of thinking and the policies it inspires are increasingly common in our public schools. Biden: Sending US Troops to Ukraine ‘Not on the Table’

President Biden on Wednesday said the United States is not considering sending troops to Ukraine amid rising fears about the possibility of a Russian military invasion.

“That is not on the table,” Biden told reporters at the White House before departing for a trip to Kansas City, Mo.

“We have a moral obligation and a legal obligation to our NATO allies if they were to attack under Article 5, it’s a sacred obligation. That obligation does not extend to … Ukraine,” he added.

Biden said it would “depend upon what the rest of the NATO countries were willing to do as well” but rejected the idea that the U.S. would “unilaterally use force to confront Russia” if it were to invade.

The president’s comments came a day after his tense two-hour virtual meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which White House officials said the American president warned his Russian counterpart of harsh economic sanctions should Russia invade Ukraine. The World’s Population Is Set to Decline for the First Time in Centuries

For the first time in centuries the world’s population is set to decline in a few decades.

There are currently around 7.8 billion of us in the world right now and that number is expected to peak in 2064, when I’ll be 69 years old…yikes.

Based on a new study published in The Lancet, the peak will be at roughly 9.7 billion and then will drop to 8.8 billion by 2100, where I’ll either be reincarnated into a sheep or floating around in heaven, with the littest Instagram stories ever.

Anyway, Stein Emil Vollset, is the lead study author and Professor of Global Health at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) – and he went into more detail of the ‘groundbreaking’ study. . .

Biden’s Vaccine Mandate for Federal Contractors Has Been Shot Down

A nationwide injunction against President Joe Biden’s Wuhan coronavirus vaccine mandate for federal contractors has been issued by a federal judge in Georgia. The reasons cited for the injunction include Biden overreaching through executive order and a lack of congressional approval.

“While the Procurement Act explicitly and unquestionably bestows some authority upon the President, the Court is unconvinced, at this state of the litigation, that it authorized him to direct the type of actions by agencies that are contained in EO 14042. Pursuant to clear United States Supreme Court precedent, Congress is expected to ‘speak clearly’ when authorizing the exercise of powers of ‘vast economic and political significance,'” Judge Stan Baker of Southern District of Georgia wrote in the injunction. Witness Reportedly Calls Ghislaine Maxwell’s Defense Attorney a C**t

The first accuser who testified at the Ghislaine Maxwell trial on Tuesday allegedly called the defendant’s defense attorney a “c**t.”

The accuser, “Jane,” testified that convicted sex-offender Jeffrey Epstein had sexual contact with her 14-year-old self during a late November testimony. She told the court that she met Epstein and Maxwell at the Interlochan Arts Camp where they claimed to be benefactors of the camp and awarded scholarships to students.

Prosecutor Alison Moe said Jane reportedly spoke to another witness—her brother Brian— on the phone where she told him she was shown a camp application during her testimony, according to the New York Post. She then reportedly called defense attorney Laura Menninger a “c**t,” a derogatory term for female genitalia.

Menninger raised the issue before the court, where prosecutors informed the courtroom of the alleged exchange between the two witnesses, the outlet reported. She argued that the prosecution is not fully aware of everything discussed in Jane and Brian’s discussion.

Communism Ties: President Biden to Withdraw Key Nominee — An Alleged Marxist

President Joe Biden has withdrawn Saule Omarova’s nomination to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency following revelations of her ties to communist ideology, the White House announced Tuesday.

Biden released a statement announcing that he had accepted Omarova’s request to end her nomination on Tuesday, but nevertheless criticized Republicans for their attacks against her. Republican Senators have highlighted Omarova’s alleged past membership in communist groups, as well as her past academic works, which included the thesis she wrote at Moscow State University, titled, “Karl Marx’s Economic Analysis and the Theory of Revolution in The Capital.” Omarova, a Cornell Law School professor, grew up in the Soviet Union.

“Saule would have brought invaluable insight and perspective to our important work on behalf of the American people,” Biden said in a statement. “But unfortunately, from the very beginning of her nomination, Saule was subjected to inappropriate personal attacks that were far beyond the pale.”

Over 500 Fully Vaccinated Oregon Residents Died of COVID-19

More than 500 residents in Oregon have now died of COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated against the virus as health officials continue to report over 2,000 new infections daily.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, health authorities in Oregon have recorded a total of 552 breakthrough COVID-19 deaths throughout the state. Of the total number of deaths, 273 people had been fully vaccinated with the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. At least 144 received the Moderna vaccine and 78 were given the Johnson & Johnson shots, according to data from the Oregon Health Authority.

The recent report also showed that there were 4,134 new COVID-19 cases recorded between Nov. 21 and Nov. 27. At least 1,186 were breakthrough infections.

As of Dec. 2, Oregon reported a total of 45,545 coronavirus infections among the fully vaccinated. At least 6.6% of breakthrough infections were reported in people aged 80 and older. People aged 12 to 19 also accounted for 4.8% of all cases reported in the state. The majority of the cases (10.9%) were reported in people aged 30 to 39.

The Oregon Health Authority’s report comes as the state continues to report high rates of COVID-19 cases. Over the past weekend, health officials recorded 2,041 new infections and 25 additional deaths. (Read more from “Over 500 Fully Vaccinated Oregon Residents Died of COVID-19” HERE)
