Researchers Predict Steady Decline in COVID Cases Through March — Without Any ‘Significant Winter Surge’

A group of researchers that advises the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention predicted this week that the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic could be over — and said that a steady decline in confirmed coronavirus cases through March could very well be on the horizon.

The pandemic, according to a consortium of researchers advising the CDC, appears to have either peaked or be close to peaking, as they predict cases will fall this autumn and into the winter months.

The Delta variant surge also appears to be peaking nationally, according to the group’s predictions, and the country is reportedly not likely to see a “significant winter surge.”

A Wednesday report from NPR noted, “For its latest update, which it will release Wednesday, the COVID-19 Scenario Modeling Hub combined nine different mathematical models from different research groups to get an outlook for the pandemic for the next six months.”

Justin Lessler of the University of North Carolina — who helps to run the hub — told the news organization, “Any of us who have been following this closely, given what happened with Delta, are going to be really cautious about too much optimism. Biden Admin Promised To Send Back Haitian Migrants, but They’re Being Released Into US on ‘Very, Very Large Scale’

Another day, another lie from the Biden administration.

After promising large-scale repatriation of Haitian migrants who poured into the United States in Del Rio, Texas, over the last several weeks, President Joe Biden’s administration is actually releasing the migrants into the U.S. on a “very, very large scale.”

The Associated Press reported last week that Biden planned the “widescale expulsion” of the Haitian migrants encamped under the Del Rio International Bridge.

“Details are yet to be finalized but will likely involve five to eight flights a day, according to the official with direct knowledge of the plans who was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. San Antonio, the nearest major city, may be among the departure cities,” the AP reported.

Trump Files Lawsuit Against His Niece, New York Times

Former President Donald Trump filed a $100 million lawsuit against The New York Times and his niece Mary Trump on Tuesday, alleging his confidential tax documents were improperly shared.

The lawsuit, which was filed in the New York Supreme Court, alleged that New York Times reporters Susanne Craig, David Barstow and Russell Buettner pressured Mary Trump to share the former president’s tax documents for an article they were working on in 2018, the Associated Press reported.

“The brazenness of the defendants’ actions cannot be understated,” the lawsuit said. “A group of journalists with The New York Times, in the middle of an extensive crusade to obtain Donald J. Trump’s confidential tax records, relentlessly sought out his niece, Mary L. Trump, and convinced her to smuggle the records out of her attorney’s office and turn them over to The Times.”

Trump’s lawsuit stated that the reporters understood their actions were illegal since they used burner phones to communicate about the story and offered Mary Trump anonymity as a source.

Mary Trump participated in the allegedly illegal sharing of documents because she was “motivated by a personal vendetta,” the lawsuit said. Study: Monoclonal Antibodies Massively Reduced Risk of Hospitalization Among High-Risk COVID-Positive Individuals

Treatment with two monoclonal antibodies lowers the odds of hospitalization for high-risk COVID-19 patients with mild to moderate illness, according to a new study.

“Our conclusion overall at this point is that monoclonal antibodies are an important option in treatment to reduce the impact of COVID-19 in high-risk patients,” said senior author Dr. Raymund Razonable, an infectious diseases specialist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

The combination of casirivimab and imdevimab has emergency use authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The study included 696 COVID-19 patients treated with the combo at the Mayo Clinic between December 2020 and early April 2021, and an equal number of patients who didn’t receive it. . .

BOMBSHELL: Man Arrested at Media-Hyped ‘Justice for J6’ Rally Was Actually Federal Agent; Trump Jr. Mocks ‘Undercover Feds’ at Rally

By The Blaze. The media-hyped “Justice for J6” rally was promised to be the sequel to the Jan. 6 riot at Capitol Hill. With a massive police presence, many of whom were dressed in full riot gear, and the Capitol barricaded, the rally turned out to be a complete dud.

There was, however, one arrest of a man who was found to be in possession of a firearm. But it turned out that man was a federal agent.

The man who was arrested is a 27-year-old U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent from New Jersey. He was taken into custody after people at the rally reported seeing him with a firearm.

The United States Capitol Police initially said the man was being charged with violating 40 U.S. Code § 5104 for carrying a firearm on federal property where it is illegal to possess a firearm.

Trump Jr. Mocks ‘Undercover Feds’ at Rally

By Business Insider. Donald Trump Jr. retweeted an image of a group of men attending the rally, dressed in shorts and sunglasses, and suggested they were undercover feds.

The “Justice for J6” rally, organized in support of more than 600 people arrested in relation to the Capitol riot, was sparsely attended but had a significant media and police presence.

In a series of tweets, Donald Trump Jr. mocked what he claimed to be undercover law enforcement officials.

China Joe Goes Full China Joe for U.N. Speech

President Joe Biden will use his speech to the United Nations on Tuesday to focus on the importance of working together with China, the White House said.

“There are also areas where we can work together with China and should work together with China, and that includes on climate, it includes on insuring that we do end this pandemic as rapidly as possible,” a senior administration official said during a call previewing Biden’s address to reporters.

The White House was asked about comments from Secretary-General Antonio Guterres urging China and the United States to repair their “completely dysfunctional” relationship to avoid another Cold War.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Monday that Biden would make it “absolutely clear” in his speech Tuesday that he was not looking for a new Cold War with China or any country in the world.

Democrats Release Debt Ceiling Bill That Funds Government Through Dec. 3

House Democrats unveiled legislation on Tuesday that would keep the federal government funded through Dec. 3 and suspend the debt limit into next year as the deadlines to avert both crises loom in a matter of days.

The bill is expected to hit the House floor for a vote later Tuesday.

Republicans have been adamant that they won’t back a debt limit suspension as a form of protest against Democrats’ $3.5 trillion bill to expand social safety net programs.

While the bill tying a suspension of the debt limit through December 2022 to avoiding a government shutdown is expected to easily pass the House, it appears to lack the votes in the Senate where at least 10 Republicans would have to join with all Democrats for it to pass. Biden Will Use Trump Rule To Justify Mass Deportation in Border Crisis

The Biden administration plans to use Title 42, which former president Donald Trump activated in March 2020, to expel some of the roughly 14,500 illegal immigrants who are sheltering under a bridge in Del Rio, Texas.

The rule allows Customs and Border Protection to immediately expel immigrants, including asylum seekers, from the United States without hearings if they pose a serious risk of communicable disease. During the 2020 election, Joe Biden promised to deport no immigrants during his first hundred days in office and that afterward “the only deportations that will take place are commissions of felonies.” His campaign called the Trump administration’s immigration policy an “assault on our values.”

Biden’s campaign website promised that he would “secure our border, while ensuring the dignity of migrants and upholding their legal right to seek asylum.” A link prompted on the website called for special protections for Haitian asylum seekers. Grateful Refugee Plots To Bomb Pittsburgh Church

If one of those fabled white supremacist terrorists that Biden’s handlers keep telling us are the biggest terror threat in America today had been caught plotting to bomb a mosque, you can bet you would have heard about it. But the news Thursday that a Muslim named Mustafa Mousab Alowemer pleaded guilty to a jihad plot to bomb a Pittsburgh church, the Legacy International Worship Center, got little notice. That’s no surprise: the story doesn’t fit the narrative of either Biden’s handlers or the establishment media, which is that there is no significant jihad terror threat, and a much bigger problem is the “Islamophobia” of Trump’s bloodthirsty MAGA legions. Back in the real world, the guilty plea is a small reminder of what the real threat really is.

There is another reason why both the administration and the media would rather have this story go away, amid the chaos at the Southern border and just after the catastrophe in Afghanistan: Alowemer, 23, came to the United States from Syria as a refugee when he was 18. Yet he doesn’t exactly fit the image of a grateful refugee, eager to become a part of our glorious multicultural mosaic. He told investigators, according to the criminal complaint against him, that “his motivation to detonate a device at the Church was to support the cause of ISIS and to inspire other ISIS sympathizers in the United States to join together and commit similar acts in the name of ISIS.” He added that he “also targeted the Church, which he described as Christian and Nigerian, in order to ‘take revenge for our [ISIS] brothers in Nigeria.’” Christians are suffering fierce persecution from Muslims in Nigeria, but as far as Alowemer was concerned, this meant only that they were infidels at war with Allah, and he thirsted for revenge.

The young jihadi wanted to maximize the casualty count. The Associated Press reported that Alowemer had “detailed plans” to bomb the church, including a particularly cruel touch: “Federal prosecutors said at the plea hearing that he talked about potentially planting a second explosive device, timing the detonation to coincide with when first responders would begin to arrive.”

The criminal complaint also inadvertently reveals the cluelessness of the FBI regarding the beliefs, motives, and goals of Islamic jihadists. It states:

In or around April 2018, the FBI identified a social networking account with display name “Mustafa Alowemer” as likely belonging to Alowemer. Notably, the “Intro” section of the social networking account included a phrase in Arabic text that an FBI linguist translated as “hoping to Allah that he dies in a way that does not require the traditional funeral cleansing and burial rituals.” This same FBI linguist interpreted this statement to mean that Alowemer wanted to die by being blown up, which would render traditional Islamic funeral rituals unnecessary or impossible.

New COVID Variant Detected in U.S. Nursing Home

Experts have discovered a new coronavirus variant in a Kentucky nursing home, and it appears to be a unique variant worth keeping an eye on.

Per Forbes, the new variant — named R.1 — is related to the original coronavirus strain. It was originally discovered in Japan and has infected more than 10,000 people globally, according to recent data. . .

Experts recommend keeping an eye on this variant as it spreads in the U.S. and Japan.

“R.1 is a variant to watch,” according to Forbes. “It has established a foothold in both Japan and the United States. In addition to several mutations notably in the spike and nucleocapsid protein in common with variants of concern, R.1 has a set of unique mutations that may confer an additional advantage in transmission, replication, and immune suppression.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention first discovered the variant in Kentucky in April. However, the CDC study said that vaccinated residents were 87% less likely to have symptomatic COVID-19 cases through the variant compared to the unvaccinated.
