Pfizer Plans To Seek Vaccine Authorization in November for Kids Under 5

Pfizer and BioNTech plan to file for Food and Drug Administration (FDA) emergency authorization in November for their COVID-19 vaccine for children younger than 5, Pfizer Chief Financial Officer Frank D’Amelio said this week.

Pfizer has previously said the company expects to file in early October for emergency use authorization in children ages 5 to 11.

Presenting during an industry conference Tuesday, D’Amelio said the company plans to file for emergency use authorization for younger kids “in a month shortly thereafter,” so long as all the data is positive.

DOJ Files Emergency Motion to Block Pro-Life Texas Law

The Justice Department took action late Tuesday against the controversial Texas abortion law, asking a federal court to immediately stop enforcement of the law while the legality of the law remains in limbo.

The law, known as S.B. 8, bans abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected in an unborn baby, which happens around six weeks into pregnancy. What is unique about the law is that it relies on civil, not criminal, enforcement.

The Supreme Court declined to block the law earlier this month in a 5-4 decision; Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the court’s liberal minority. The court, however, did not make a determination about the constitutionality of the law. . .

In an emergency motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas in Austin, the Justice Department asked a federal judge to temporarily or preliminarily prevent the enforcement of S.B. 8.

The scope of the DOJ’s argument is that S.B. 8 violates the Constitution — specifically the 14th Amendment and Supremacy Clause — and that the federal government “has the authority and responsibility to ensure that Texas cannot insulate itself from judicial review for its constitutional violations and to protect the important federal interests that S.B. 8 impairs.” (Read more from “DOJ Files Emergency Notion to Block Pro-Life Texas Law” HERE)

After Reviewing Netflix Show, Parents Group Demands Child Pornography Investigation

Though Netflix’s animated series, “Big Mouth,” bills itself as TV-MA and is ostensibly intended for adults, it features 12- and 13-year-old characters engaging in sex acts and includes animated nudity and graphic dialogue, according to a parents group demanding Netflix be investigated over the show.

One scene, for example, shows a 13-year-old boy who doesn’t want to be left at camp yelling, “I’ll suck your d**k,” to his departing father. Another shows a group of middle school boys fully nude in a shower, waving their penises. Still another scene shows two boys discussing mutual masturbation, sharing tips on how to masturbate, and fondling themselves in front of one another.

A new report from the Parents Television and Media Council (PTC) argues that, despite being a cartoon, “Big Mouth’s” sexually explicit content is meant to depict minors and therefore qualifies as child pornography. The group is calling on law enforcement to investigate the distributor, Netflix. . .

While much of this material is expressed through dialogue, some scenes do depict sex acts and show nudity. In total, the PTC reports, these ten episodes included 17 instances of animated nudity, primarily depicting the genitals of middle-school boys and girls. Here’s What Pope Francis Had To Say About Pro-Abortion Politicians Receiving Communion

Pope Francis re-emphasized Wednesday that the Catholic Church is firmly and adamantly against abortion as he addressed questions from reporters about giving pro-abortion Catholic politicians Communion.

During a flight from Slovakia to Rome Wednesday, Pope Francis told reporters that “abortion is more than an issue,” adding that “abortion is murder,” the Catholic News Agency reported.

The pope stressed the importance of priests acting as both pastors and shepherds without becoming political, but said that he did not know enough “details” to discuss problems presented by pro-abortion Catholic politicians in the U.S.

“Scientifically it’s a human life,” the Holy Father said, according to CNA. “The textbooks teach us that. But is it right to take it out to solve a problem? And this is why the Church is so strict on this issue because it is kind of like accepting this is accepting daily murder.”

Pope Francis responded to a question about U.S. bishops and the possibility of denying Communion to pro-abortion politicians by emphasizing that clergy should be pastoral in their responses, rather than political. Biden Lyin’?: Top U.S. General in Afghanistan Contradicts Joe’s Claim

President Biden has insisted that his military advisers did not advise him to keep a residual force in Afghanistan to avoid a total collapse of the U.S.-backed government.

But the general who commanded U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan told senators Tuesday he declared his opposition to Biden’s complete withdrawal to the top military brass.

In a closed briefing Tuesday, the Washington Times reported, Gen. Austin Scott Miller told the Senate Armed Services Committee that he registered his dissent directly to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin; Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr., the head of U.S. Central Command.

But in an interview last month, Biden told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that “no one” suggested leaving troops in Afghanistan to avoid a total collapse.

After the briefing Tuesday, Sen. James M. Trump Finally Has His Answer on ‘Where’s Durham?’

The New York Times reported on Wednesday night that John Durham has informed the Department of Justice he will ask a grand jury to indict Michael Sussmann over his making a false statement to the FBI. The report cites “people familiar with the matter.” Durham was assigned by then Attorney General Bill Barr in 2019 to investigate. Last December, Attorney General Barr elevated his status to Special Counsel.

As the report noted about Sussmann:

Any indictment of the lawyer — Michael Sussmann, a former federal prosecutor and now a partner at the Perkins Coie law firm, and who represented the Democratic National Committee on issues related to Russia’s 2016 hacking of its servers — is likely to attract significant political attention.

Donald J. Trump and his supporters have long accused Democrats and Perkins Coie — whose political law group, a division separate from Mr. Sussmann’s, represented the party and the Hillary Clinton campaign — of seeking to stoke unfair suspicions about Mr. Trump’s purported ties to Russia.

The case against Mr. Sussmann centers on the question of who his client was when he conveyed certain suspicions about Mr. Trump and Russia to the F.B.I. in September 2016. Among other things, investigators have examined whether Mr. Sussmann was secretly working for the Clinton campaign — which he denies.

Mark Milley in a statement on Tuesday, after a new book alleged he had taken secret action to limit the president’s authority in the wake of January 6 and told China that he would give them advance notice if the U.S. were to attack it. . .

Trump blasted Milley in his statement:

If the story of “Dumbass” General Mark Milley, the same failed leader who engineered the worst withdrawal from a country, Afghanistan, in U.S. history, leaving behind many dead and wounded soldiers, many American citizens, and $85 Billion worth of the newest and most sophisticated Military equipment in the world, and our Country’s reputation, is true, then I assume he would be tried for TREASON in that he would have been dealing with his Chinese counterpart behind the President’s back and telling China that he would be giving them notification “of an attack.” Can’t do that!

The good news is that the story is Fake News concocted by a weak and ineffective General together with two authors who I refused to give an interview to because they write fiction, not fact. Actions should be taken immediately against Milley, and better generals in our Military, of which we have many, should get involved so that another Afghanistan disaster never happens again. Remember, I was the one who took out 100% of the ISIS Caliphate. Milley said it couldn’t be done!

Milley’s Alleged Secret Calls to China Are Just Another Reason Americans Believe the System Is Rigged

By The Federalist. The Washington Post published extremely serious allegations against Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley yesterday, although of course the paper tried to make the centerpiece of the story former President Donald Trump’s erratic behavior.

Fearful of Donald Trump’s actions in his final weeks as president, the United States’ top military officer twice called his Chinese counterpart to assure him that the two nations would not go to war, a senior defense official said Tuesday after the conversations were described in excerpts from a forthcoming book.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley told Gen. Li Zuocheng of the People’s Liberation Army that the United States would not strike. One call took place on Oct. 30, 2020, four days before the election that defeated Trump. The second call was on Jan. 8, 2021, just two days after the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol by supporters of the outgoing chief executive.

The story here, however, is not Trump, no matter how much the corrupt corporate media would have it be so. The story is that a military leader defied civilian control over the direction of America’s foreign policy, and did so through secret talks with our chief adversary on the global stage. Army Officer Resigns Over Biden Vaccine Mandate, ‘Marxist Takeover of the Military’

An Army lieutenant colonel’s resignation letter is gaining attention on social media after he used it to protest the COVID-19 vaccine mandate and what he described as the “Marxist takeover of the military.”

The resignation letter by Lt. Col. Paul Douglas Hague, tweeted out by his wife and shared with Fox News, said he was resigning from the Army after 19 years of service and forgoing his pension primarily because of the Pentagon’s mandatory COVID-19 vaccination order for all U.S. military service members.

“First, and foremost, I am incapable of subjecting myself to the unlawful, unethical, immoral and tyrannical order to sit still and allow a serum to be injected into my flesh against my will and better judgment,” Hague, who is stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, wrote in the letter. “It is impossible for this so-called ‘vaccine’ to have been studied adequately to determine the long-term effects.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said the vaccines are safe and effective.

Hague listed multiple other reasons for his resignation, including what he views as “an ideologically Marxist takeover of the United States government at their upper echelons,” and “a complete lack of confidence” in the Biden administration, which he blamed for the Kabul terrorist attack last month that killed 13 U.S. service members. House Republicans Say Facebook Lied About Risks to Teens

House Republicans are pointing to a Wall Street Journal report to argue that Facebook has for years deceived them about the negative effects its platforms have on teenage users.

The social media giant has conducted multiple studies that show that Instagram encouraged eating disorders and depression in teenage girls, according to documents obtained by the Journal. But when Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce Committee in March requested Facebook’s internal research on how social media affect children, the company punted. In a letter to the committee, Facebook said conducting research on the question is difficult and that experts disagree on “how much screen time is ‘too much.'”

“Facebook refused to comply with our request and we now know why,” committee ranking member Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R., Wash.) told the Washington Free Beacon. “This also leaves us wondering what else they are hiding. We will continue to demand transparency from Facebook and other Big Tech companies, especially as it relates to the harm their products have on our children.”

A spokesman for another committee Republican, Colorado representative Ken Buck, had similarly harsh words for social media platforms. Big Tech companies have “almost unchecked power” and answer “only to themselves,” the spokesman said. He called on Congress to pass antitrust bills to “bring these dark and duplicitous monopolists to heel.”

Facebook has repeatedly attempted to deceive stakeholders who inquire after its operations. Other documents obtained by the Journal show the company lied to its formally independent Oversight Board. Facebook told the board that a system designed to protect high-profile users from being censored was used in “a small number of decisions.” In fact, Facebook exempts at least 5.8 million users from the content moderation guidelines it imposes on most people. “We are not actually doing what we say we do publicly,” a 2019 internal review found. Biden Hit With First State Lawsuit Over Vaccine Mandates

Arizona sued the Biden administration Tuesday challenging recent rules forcing both private sector and federal employees to receive COVID-19 vaccinations.

The state argued that the vaccination requirements are unconstitutional because the federal government hasn’t announced similar requirements for migrants crossing the southern border, according to its complaint filed in the U.S. District Court of Arizona. Republican Attorney General Mark Brnovich said the Biden administration’s policies reflected an “unmistakable” favoritism in favor of illegal immigrants over American citizens.

“The federal government cannot force people to get the COVID-1a9 vaccine. The Biden Administration is once again flouting our laws and precedents to push their radical agenda,” Brnovich said in a statement. “There can be no serious or scientific discussion about containing the spread of COVID-19 that doesn’t begin at our southern border.”

“Under our Constitution, the President is not a king who can exercise this sort of unbridled power unilaterally,” the attorney general wrote in the complaint. “And even George III wouldn’t have dreamed that he could enact such sweeping policies by royal decree alone.”
