Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is absolutely right in calling out President Joe Biden’s COVID hypocrisy: The president is blaming the surge in cases partly on DeSantis and other GOP governors who resist tighter restrictions — even as Biden lets thousands of COVID-positive migrants flood the nation.

Biden is “lecturing people about imposing COVID restrictions and lockdowns and not only doing nothing to stop the border surge but actually facilitating it,” notes the Floridian. He’s “bringing in people from over 100 different countries across the southern border.”

Watchdog Report: Fauci Spent Nearly Half a Million in Taxpayer Dollars on Abusive Experiments on Dogs

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, directed by Dr. Anthony Fauci, spent $424,455 in taxpayer funds on experiments to infest beagles with parasite-carrying flies, even though the procedure had already been extensively tested on other animals. White Coat Waste Project, the government watchdog group that obtained the documents, found that about half of Fauci’s $6 billion budget was used for animal experimentation, including the abusive dog experiment. . .

“According to documents that we just obtained using the Freedom of Information Act, Fauci just spent $424,000 to commission a study in which healthy beagles are given an experimental drug and then intentionally infested with flies that carry a disease-causing parasite that affects humans,” White Coat Waste Project wrote.

The documents further revealed that the experiments were not necessary because scientists had already performed similar tests on various other animals. . .

The Daily Caller reported the NIAID task order showed “28 beagles were to be allowed to develop infections for three months before being euthanized for blood collection. The dog experiments are set to be completed by January 2022, however, the task order states that the beagles are to be euthanized 196 days after the start of the study. ‘No Turning Back’ From Electric Vehicles, Biden Says While Signing Executive Order

President Joe Biden sought to project unity with the auto industry Thursday as he signed an executive order at a White House event setting a target for half of all new vehicles sold in the United States to be electric or carbon-free by 2030.

CEOs of the Big Three U.S. automakers, along with the president of the United Auto Workers union, flanked Biden as he announced the new voluntary goal and unveiled stricter binding standards for fuel efficiency and tailpipe emissions for cars and light trucks.

In a joint statement, Ford, GM, and Stellantis said they share an aspiration to achieve sales of 40%-50% of EVs (defined as battery electric, fuel cell, and plug-in hybrids), but they are giving themselves more leeway.

Tales From the Creep: The Women and Lurid Sex Harassment Allegations Surrounding Cuomo; Time to Impeach CNN

By New York Post. The independent probe into New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo found that he sexually harassed multiple women, both in and out of state government.

Investigators focused on the allegations of 11 women, detailed in a blistering 165-page report released Tuesday by the state attorney general’s office. . .

[Lindsey] Boylan, 36, was the first former Cuomo aide to come forward last year, writing in an essay on Medium that the governor had harassed her multiple times between 2016 and 2018, when she worked as a state economic development official. . .

[Charlotte] Bennett, a 25-year-old former aide to Cuomo, told The New York Times in February that the governor asked her inappropriate personal questions, told her he was open to relationships with women in their 20s, and left her feeling that he “wanted to sleep with me.” . . .

[Alyssa] McGrath, 35, became the first current aide to speak out about sexual harassment in the governor’s office, telling the Times in March that Cuomo looked down her shirt, quizzed her about her marital status and told her she was beautiful. Time to Impeach CNN

A four-month investigation into New York Governor Andrew Cuomo concluded on Tuesday with a damning report. “Specifically, we find that the Governor sexually harassed a number of current and former New York State employees by, among other things, engaging in unwelcome and nonconsensual touching, as well as making numerous offensive comments of a suggestive and sexual nature that created a hostile work environment for women,” New York Attorney General Letitia James’ inquiry concluded.

The details of the governor’s misconduct are stomach-churning, and range from inappropriate remarks to unwanted sexual touching and kissing. He grabbed an assistant’s breast under her shirt, felt up a state trooper’s back and stomach, asked for help finding a girlfriend who “can handle pain,” told a young aide he was “lonely and wanted to be touched,” and kissed multiple employees on the lips. (Cuomo has only denied some of the accusations.)

. . . [CNN’s Chris Cuomo] also appears to have played a role in the governor’s public statements, possibly even composing some of them. An email shows him suggesting the governor downplay the allegations by saying “sometimes I am playful and make jokes” in order to add “some levity and banter to what is a very serious business.”

None of this was disclosed to CNN’s viewers, as the network continued to “cover” the scandal. Nor was the extent of Chris’s involvement explored when Chris finally did address what he called “inappropriate” conversations he had with his brother’s staff.

And yet, despite this massive conflict of interest, CNN is still standing by Chris Cuomo. While it’s true that Chris did not cover the scandal about his brother, his show has included fawning coverage of his brother early in the pandemic, including bantering about their mother. Majority of New York Assembly Wants Andrew Cuomo to Resign, Will Impeach if He Doesn’t

By Newsweek. A majority of New York Assembly members are calling for Governor Andrew Cuomo to resign after an investigation found that he sexually harassed at least 11 women, and they plan to impeach him if he does not, the Associated Press reported.

At least 82 out of 150 members have either said publicly or told the AP that they are in favor of impeaching Cuomo if he refuses to step down. A simple majority of Assembly members is required to authorize an impeachment trial.

Woman Charged With Attempted Murder After Shooting Home Intruder

Colorado woman and a male accomplice have been charged with attempted murder after police say the woman shot an alleged home intruder.

Emily Strunk, 25, and 27-year-old Kevin Lee Wertin are being held on charges of attempted murder after an unidentified male, whom Strunk had previously been in a relationship with, allegedly “forced his way into her apartment,” and began assaulting Wertin on July 31 shortly after midnight, Aurora Police said.

Strunk “made the decision to shoot the alleged assailant,” and then called police to report she shot a male intruder. Strunk was detained and later released, and police originally said there were no other suspects in custody at the time.

Trump Moves to Block Effort to Get His Tax Returns

Lawyers for former President Donald Trump moved to block House Democratic efforts to obtain his tax returns, blasting the push as a political attempt to harm him following the Justice Department greenlighting the effort.

Democratic-led House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal of Massachusetts had requested six years of Trump’s tax returns and those of eight Trump-associated businesses, including his Bedminster golf club, from the IRS in April 2019.

Then-Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin rejected the effort in May 2019 and was backed up by the Trump DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel that year. But the Biden DOJ concluded in July that “Treasury must furnish the information to the Committee,” which the Treasury Department agreed to do, though it allowed Trump a chance to respond in court first.

“After President Trump’s election, Democrats in Congress and across the country only became more eager to disclose the President’s tax returns for political gain. During the 115th Congress, when they were still the minority party, House Democrats gave a variety of reasons for wanting the President’s tax returns. Their statements all had a common theme: the tax returns would contain damaging information about President Trump that the House Democrats would release to the public,” Trump lawyer Patrick Strawbridge of Consovoy McCarthy told a federal court on Wednesday. Lawsuit: Biden’s DHS Hiding Crimes Committed by Released Migrants

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is failing to disclose crimes, if any, committed by migrants that the administration has released into the United States interior, a newly filed lawsuit alleges.

After taking office in January, Biden ended the Remain in Mexico program, which had proven remarkably effective in eliminating the Catch and Release policy whereby border crossers are apprehended and subsequently released into the U.S. interior while awaiting their asylum hearings.

Biden announced in February that his DHS, with the help of the United Nations, would start releasing about 25,600 migrants enrolled in the program into the U.S. interior. Breitbart News exclusively reported that the migrants are being released in Brownsville and El Paso, Texas, as well as San Diego, California.

On Wednesday, the government watchdog group Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against DHS for allegedly failing to disclose the number of Remain in Mexico migrants who went on to commit crimes after the agency released them into the U.S. interior. Biden to Mandate Jab for Foreign Visitors to U.S.

President Joe Biden is reportedly readying a plan that will require foreign visitors to the United States to show proof of vaccination for the Chinese coronavirus before entering the country.

A report by Reuters on Wednesday details a plan by the Biden administration that would “require nearly all foreign visitors” to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, according to a White House official with knowledge of the plan.

The Biden administration has interagency working groups working “in order to have a new system ready for when we can reopen travel,” the official said, adding it includes “a phased approach that over time will mean, with limited exceptions, that foreign nationals traveling to the United States (from all countries) need to be fully vaccinated.” [Emphasis added]

The White House has held discussions with airlines and others about how it would implement a policy of requiring vaccines for foreign visitors. There are other questions the Biden administration must answer, including what proof it would accept of vaccination and if the United States would accept vaccines that some countries are using but which have not yet been authorized by U.S. regulators. Filmmaker Wants to Throw Mark Zuckerberg in Prison

Award-winning filmmaker and historian Ken Burns said Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is “an enemy of the state” who belongs in jail.

Burns joined The New York Times’ “Sway” podcast to promote a new film about Muhammad Ali and was asked if a particular tech figure could be as culturally significant in a few decades as the boxing legend is now.

“I mean, I hope Zuckerberg is in jail by then,” Burns said.

“This is an enemy of the state, and I mean the United States of America. He doesn’t give a sh-t about us, the United States,” Burns continued. “He knows he can transcend it. Dr. Drew: Vaccine Passports Are ‘Modern Day Segregation’

Dr. David Drew Pinsky, better known as Dr. Drew, tweeted Wednesday that vaccine passports are “modern day segregation.”

“The CDC reported today that only 28.4% of the black community have received the Covid vaccine. With states like CA and NY mandating vaccine passports to enter restaurants and businesses, the black community would be most affected by this modern day segregation,” Dr. Drew tweeted.
