Civil War? Two-Thirds of Republicans in the South Want To Secede, Nearly Half of West Coast Dems Ready to Break Away From Union

An alarming poll was released this week that highlights the concerning and growing divide in the United States. Two-thirds of Republicans in the South and nearly half of Democrats on the West Coast want to secede from the union, according to a new poll.

Bright Line Watch, a self-described “initiative to monitor democratic practices in the U.S. and call attention to threats to American democracy,” and YouGov conducted a survey of 2,650 American adults between June 26 and July 2, 2021. For the poll, participants were presented with a hypothetical separation of the United States into five regional unions. Respondents were asked, “Would you support or oppose [your state] seceding from the United States to join a new union with [list of states in new union]?”

The region and political affiliation most welcoming seceding from the United States were Republicans from the South, where 66% said they would want to break off into a new country. Half of the independent voters were also ready to form a new country, which would include 13 Southern states: Texas, Florida, Virginia, Tennesee, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Kentucky.

The poll found that 47% of Democrats in the Pacific region, which includes California, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, and Alaska, were ready to break away from the union.

The survey said 43% of independents were ready to secede in the Heartland region: Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, and Nebraska. Arizona State Senator Demands Electors Be Recalled for New Election, Calls for Audit of All 50 States

Following an Arizona Senate hearing Thursday about the ongoing audit of Maricopa County’s election results, a Republican state senator issued stunning tweets calling for the state’s electors to be recalled and a new election held.

State Sen. Wendy Rogers, a retired Air Force pilot, posted the tweets after Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan, CyFIR founder Ben Cotton and Arizona Senate Liaison Ken Bennett testified about their current findings.

“Thousands of names were added to the voting rolls after election day, but are recorded as casting a ballot in the 2020 election,” Logan claimed at one point in the hearing.

Meanwhile, all three slammed the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors for refusing to hand over the additional information needed to complete the audit.

“Auditors want passwords the county says it doesn’t have, and they also want computer network equipment directly related to the election and a complete copy of the Maricopa County voter registration database,” according to Phoenix station KNXV.

California Becomes First State To Pass a Guaranteed Income Plan

California lawmakers unanimously approved the nation’s first taxpayer-funded guaranteed income plan Thursday.

The bill sets aside $35 million for no-strings-attached monthly cash payments to some pregnant women and young adults who recently left foster care.

The move comes after Oakland and other municipalities approved a monthly stipend for some disadvantaged residents — a philosophy that has been gaining nationwide momentum and was championed by failed presidential and New York mayoral candidate Andrew Yang.

The vote came as millions of Americans received their first monthly payments from an extension of the federal child tax credit.

Sacramento lawmakers from both sides of the aisle universally supported the measure. (Read more from “California Becomes First State To Pass a Guaranteed Income Plan” HERE)

Feds: 76-Year-Old Man Repeatedly Groped Teen Girl on Montana-Bound Flight

A teenage girl traveling to the Yellowstone National Park area for a family vacation was repeatedly groped by a man on her flight to Montana last week, federal authorities charged.

The suspect, 76-year-old Vincent Kopacek, allegedly touched the 15-year-old victim while he was sitting in the seat behind her on the July 8 flight from Austin, Texas, to the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, according to charging documents against him.

Before the flight took off, Kopacek placed his hands on the girl’s seat — then began to “touch her body as the flight progressed,” an affidavit filed by FBI agents who investigated the case states.

“Shortly after takeoff, [Kopacek] grabbed and squeezed her arm,” the affidavit states.

“He then moved his hand between her arm and her torso, brushed his fingers along her torso and grabbed her waist. At some point, the male touched her chest and groped her breast over her clothes,” it adds. (Read more from “Feds: 76-Year-Old Man Repeatedly Groped Teen Girl on Montana-Bound Flight” HERE)

Georgia Secretary of State Explains Why He’s Just Now Discovering More Than 10,000 Illegal Votes Cast In 2020

During a detailed discussion with The Federalist on Wednesday, representatives from the Georgia Secretary of State’s office provided their perspective on new evidence suggesting more than 10,300 Georgian voters illegally cast ballots in the November 2020 general election.

Last week, The Federalist reported on recently obtained data indicating tens of thousands of Georgia voters had violated Section 21-2-218 of the state’s election code, which requires residents vote in the county in which they reside, unless they had changed their residence within 30 days of the election.

Shortly after the November 2020 election, Mark Davis, the president of Data Productions Inc. and an expert in voter data analytics and residency issues, determined from National Change of Address records that nearly 35,000 Georgia voters who indicated they had moved from one Georgia county to another voted in the 2020 general election in the county from which they had moved. . .

The Secretary of State’s Office confirmed that the investigation into the approximately 35,000 residents who moved from one county to another more than 30 days before the election remains ongoing. However, when pushed to confirm the preliminary point — that voters who moved from one county to another county more than 30 days before the November election, but voted in their prior county, had voted illegally under 21-2-218 — an attorney with the Secretary of State’s Office stated the question was not that simple. Federal Prosecutor Deliberately Delayed Hunter Biden Probe to Shield 2020 Election

U.S. Department of Justice officials deliberately delayed an investigation into Hunter Biden’s potential tax law violations and sketchy overseas business dealings because of the effect it could have on the presidential election, according to a Politico report.

Delaware’s U.S. Attorney David Weiss allegedly postponed allowing prosecutors to obtain search warrants and issue grand jury subpoenas last summer, after facing pressure from other officials who feared the investigation’s influence on the 2020 presidential election and now-President Joe Biden’s campaign.

“They advised [him] to avoid taking any actions that could alert the public to the existence of the case in the middle of a presidential election,” reported Politico, one of the many corporate media outlets that brushed off the possibility of any wrongdoing by Hunter despite the discovery of his incriminating laptop.

Censored by the White House: Outrage Erupts Over Biden Admin Regularly ‘Flagging’ Facebook Posts

Critics roundly condemned the White House after press secretary Jen Psaki revealed the Biden administration is working with Facebook to flag “problematic” posts that “spread disinformation” on COVID-19.

On Thursday, Psaki was asked a question regarding the Biden administration’s request for tech companies to be more “aggressive” when policing what they referred to as “misinformation.” Psaki revealed that the White House is “in regular touch with social media platforms” to handle it. . .

While referencing the team’s actions, Psaki also revealed that they are “flagging” posts on Facebook as part of their efforts.

“Psaki says the White House has been flagging ‘problematic posts’ on Facebook they believe are misinformation about Wuhan coronavirus. Reminder: Fauci worked with Facebook to ban the lab leak theory, which is factual, for more than a year,” Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich tweeted.

Dan Gainor, of Media Research Center, said people being anti-vaccine is part of free speech and that Psaki is “against freedom.” (Read more from “Censored by the White House: Outrage Erupts Over Biden Admin Regularly ‘Flagging’ Facebook Posts” HERE)

Here We Go: Texas Democrat Stripped of Leadership Post for Fleeing the State

State Rep. Joe Moody (D-El Paso) has been stripped of his position as speaker pro tem in the Texas House following his decision to flee the state in order to stymie the ongoing special session that Gov. Greg Abbott called.

House Speaker Dade Phelan, a Beaumont Republican, announced the removal of Moody as speaker pro tem in a memo Thursday morning before the House was set to return on Thursday. He gave no statement but said the removal was effective immediately.

“The most important titles in my life will never change: Dad, Husband, El Pasoan,” Moody said in a statement. “Nothing political has ever even cracked the top three, so nothing has changed about who I am or what my values are.”

Moody is (or was) one of Speaker Phelan’s closest Democrat allies. Two of the terms he used to describe himself — Dad and husband — are gender-specific terms forbidden by the rules adopted by the Democratic leadership in the United States House of Representatives. Go Away: Biden’s ‘Door-to-Door’ Hunt For Unvaccinated Rejected

President Joe Biden’s plan to have teams go door-to-door to urge those unvaccinated for COVID-19 to get the shot is being rejected by the public even before it begins.

By a 53%-37% margin, likely voters consider the aggressive tactic to be “a bad idea.”

In the latest Rasmussen Reports survey, only Democrats and liberals favor the plan. Some 63% of liberals like it, as opposed to 22% of conservatives.

What’s more, black people, white people, men, and women reject the idea. (Read more from “Go Away: Biden’s ‘Door-to-Door’ Hunt For Unvaccinated Rejected” HERE)

GOP Wants Answers On Missing Mueller Phones

Two Republican senators are pressing for answers about apparently missing phones belonging to special counsel Robert Mueller’s Trump-Russia investigative team that the Justice Department cannot locate, per its watchdog.

Sens. Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin told Attorney General Merrick Garland they are “asking the Justice Department for more information and records” after learning that the DOJ “could not locate 59 of the 96 phones” used by Mueller’s team and after discovering that the department “failed to review over twenty phones for federal record preservation.”

DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz wrote to Johnson and Grassley in May, noting in a letter obtained by the Washington Examiner that the DOJ’s Justice Management Division took possession of 79 of 96 Mueller team phones in a property transfer from the special counsel’s office in June 2019. A DOJ iPhone record review spreadsheet documented that only approximately 74 of the phones were reviewed for records. Horowitz said that records such as notes and text messages were sent to DOJ or FBI email systems for preservation.

Horowitz detailed the location of some of the phones, including the devices belonging to former FBI lawyer Lisa Page and fired FBI special agent Peter Strzok, which remain secured in a safe at the DOJ, but the inspector general said the DOJ’s JMD currently does not know the whereabouts of 59 of the 96 team phones.
