In First Felony Sentence, Capitol Protester Receives Prison Time

A Florida man who breached the Senate floor on Jan. 6 while carrying a Trump flag was the first Capitol rioter sentenced with a felony offense.

Prosecutors are seeking a minimum 18-month sentence for Paul Allard Hodgkins. In a July 14 court filing, they alleged that he, “like each rioter, contributed to the collective threat to democracy” as they forced lawmakers, reporters, staff and Vice President Mike Pence into hiding as they convened to certify President Joe Biden’s victory.

He was sentenced to eight months in prison.

Video footage described in the report shows Hodgkins, 38, sporting a Trump T-shirt and flag on the Senate floor. At one point he took a selfie with the self-described shaman, who is also awaiting trial for participating in the riot. . .

Though Hodgkins was never accused of assaulting anyone or damaging property, prosecutors noted that when he boarded a bus from Tampa, Florida, to D.C. he had rope, protective goggles and latex gloves, and said that demonstrated that he was prepared for violence. Despite Building Success Through Conservative Support, Black Rifle Coffee Wants To Flush ‘Repugnant’ Americans

A feature in The New York Times Magazine paints top executives of the Black Rifle Coffee Company as saying that some elements of America’s conservative political spectrum are not anyone with whom the company wants to be affiliated.

“You can’t let sections of your customers hijack your brand and say, ‘This is who you are,’” said Mat Best the company’s executive vice president. “It’s like, no, no, we define that.” . . .

Company CEO Evan Hafer said that last year, when the company said it was not an active supporter of Kyle Rittenhouse, who has been charged with murder over the shooting of rioters in Kenosha, Wisconsin, last year, it was a watershed moment because it separated the company from customers he was happy to be rid of.

After Meeting with COVID-Infected Texas Dems, Kamala Harris Goes to Walter Reed

In the wake of her meeting with Texas Democrats, Kamala Harris is visiting Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Three of the Texas lawmakers have tested positive for COVID-19, causing speculation that Kamala Harris’s visit is related to her being exposed to the virus. However, the White House claims she’s going for a “routine doctor’s appointment.”

The White House also claims that Harris was not in close contact with the infected Texas lawmakers.

“Based on the timeline of these positive tests, it was determined that the vice president and her staff present at the meeting were not at risk of exposure because they were not in close contact with those who tested positive and therefore do not need to be tested or quarantined,” Harris’s spokeswoman Symone Sanders said in a statement. Trump: People Are Refusing Vaccine Because They ‘Don’t Trust the Election Results’

Former President Donald Trump claimed on Sunday that one of the reasons some people are unwilling to take the COVID-19 vaccine is because they “don’t trust the Election results” from November 2020.

The former president’s comments come after President Joe Biden’s administration failed to meet its vaccination goal to ensure 70% of the nation’s adults receive at least one shot by July 4. Still, 161 million people are fully vaccinated and 68% of adults have received at least one dose, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Trump has touted his administration did a “great job” in regard to handling the coronavirus pandemic through programs like Operation Warp Speed, which saw vaccine development and disbursement happen in record time. While he has encouraged people to get vaccinated, a large group of his supporters has erred on the side of caution surrounding the COVID-19 jabs.

Facebook Slams Biden Admin Criticism, Says They Are ‘Looking For Scapegoats’ After Missing Vaccination Goal

Facebook called out President Joe Biden and top administration officials for asserting that social media companies are part of the problem when it comes to coronavirus misinformation circulating on their platforms, with the tech giant alleging that the White House was “looking for scapegoats for missing their vaccine goals.”

Tension rose between the Biden administration and social media companies after Biden told reporters Friday that Facebook and other platforms were “killing people” by not restricting content considered to be vaccine misinformation.

“We will not be distracted by accusations which aren’t supported by the facts,” Facebook spokesperson Dani Lever said in a statement.

WH Doubles Down on Its Criticism of Facebook Following Biden’s ‘Killing’ Remarks

The White House isn’t backing down from its harsh criticism of Facebook after President Biden on Friday accused the social media giant of “killing people” with misinformation about coronavirus vaccinations.

A Biden administration source revealed to Fox News on Saturday that the very public callout of Facebook followed months of frustration with the platform for failing to stamp out “dangerous” information about the vaccinations that have spread online.

The White House has been seeking help from Facebook and other social media sites since February on stopping misinformation from going viral, such as the myth that getting the shot will cause infertility.

While Facebook has made positive public statements on how they’ve partnered with the government and taken aggressive action to curb vaccine misinformation, the White House believes that the Big Tech company has fallen short.

“They’ve been withholding information on what the rules are, what they have put in place to prevent dangerous misinformation from spreading [and] how they measure whether it’s working,” a Biden administration official told Fox News. Study Shows Remdesivir as Primary COVID Treatment Is a Total Bust

16 months into this virus, our government has nothing to offer us in terms of treatment in the hospital but remdesivir at $3,100 a dose and zero treatment options at the critical early stage, when serious complications can be pre-empted. Now, a new study from the University of Iowa shows what we knew all along – that remdesivir failed to reduce mortality one iota. Why are we to believe the same government entities about embracing the clot shots and shunning so many other cheaper and effective treatments after spending billions and losing countless lives on a failed drug?

After 62 studies, 32 of them randomized controlled trials, establishing ivermectin as an effective treatment and an even more effective preventative to keep people out of the hospital in the first place, our government refuses to endorse its use and Big Tech continues to censor it. They claim they need more studies. Yet not a single randomized controlled trial showed remdesivir to be effective before they dove in headfirst and the NIH made it the only approved antiviral treatment for COVID. Now, a University of Iowa study published in JAMA Network Open on Thursday has shown that remdesivir was a complete bust.

Among the 2,334 U.S. veterans studied in 124 hospitals, a higher share of remdesivir patients (12.2 percent) who took part in the study died than patients in the control group (10.6 percent). Moreover, on average, remdesivir patients spent six days in the hospital, while control group patients spent only three.

Previously, last October, the World Health Organization found that use of remdesivir in 11,000 patients across 400 hospitals in the world failed to lower the mortality rate or truncate time of stay in the hospital. Dr. Fauci Strangely Silent on Sudden Death of Vaccinated Boy, 13

Dr. Anthony Fauci wants America to know that the coronavirus vaccine is safe, effective and completely safe and effective, and that every man, woman and child over the age of 12 should get the shot because, well, it’s completely, utterly, inarguably and irrefutably safe and effective. And safe.

Just don’t talk about that little 13-year-old Michigan boy who died in his sleep three days after receiving his second Pfizer vaccine dose. . .

The boy just finished eighth grade. His name was Jacob Clynick. He died on June 16.

But from Fauci, it’s this: “You’ve got to ask,” he said during a recent MSNBC interview about the lag in vaccine rollouts, “what is the problem? Get over it. Get over this political statement. Just get over it and try and save the lives of yourself and your family.”

Report: Mike Pence and Benjamin Netanyahu Pushed Donald Trump To Bomb Iran After Losing the Election

Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley was reportedly worried that Donald Trump might declare war on Iran as part of a last-ditch attempt to overturn his election loss, according to a New Yorker report on Thursday.

Miley was “engaged in an alarmed effort to ensure that Trump did not embark on a military conflict with Iran as part of his quixotic campaign to overturn the results of the 2020 election and remain in power,” journalist Susan B. Glasser wrote. “Trump had a circle of Iran hawks around him and was close with the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu,” she continued, “who was also urging the Administration to act against Iran after it was clear that Trump had lost the election.” . . .

During one meeting in which the president was not present, Milley pressed former Vice President Mike Pence on “why they were so intent on attacking [Iran].”

Pence reportedly answered: “Because they are evil.” . . .

Last month, the New York Times revealed that in early 2020 Netanyahu had given the former president a “hit list” of Iranian targets for him to consider. One of these targets, a suspected nuclear production plant, was in fact the very factory that the U.S. attacked with a drone strike in June.
