By Breitbart. James O’Keefe of Project Veritas released photographs Monday from inside a border facility in Texas where migrant children are being held — and taunted the White House as he did so, for denying the media access to such facilities for weeks. . .

In 2014, Breitbart News broke the story of children being held in Border Patrol facilities, which was the first report on the crisis of unaccompanied minors arriving at the southern border.

On Monday morning, Axios released the first photographs from the present wave, noting that the photographs came from Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX). That apparently prompted O’Keefe to release his own photographs and video footage, which he did on social media and at the Project Veritas website.

As he did so, O’Keefe called out White House Press Secretary Jennifer Psaki, who has repeatedly deflected questions from the media about when journalists would be allowed to visit the border facilities to see the conditions for themselves.

Last Thursday, Psaki continued to claim that “the White House and we all in the administration support finding a way to grant access to the media,” but declined to do so, even as she continued to defend Biden’s commitment to transparency.

Democratic Mayor Blasts Biden for Ignoring Border Crisis

By WND. The Democratic mayor of a southern border town says Democratic President Joe Biden is in denial over the magnitude of the immigration problem, amounting to a “slap in the face” to the people he serves.

“You have a breach on national security levels that have never before been seen in modern history and you’re not even batting an eye about it, you’re not even calling it a ‘crisis,’ you’re calling it a quote unquote challenge,” Mayor Bruno Lozano of Del Rio, Texas, told the New York Post on Sunday.

On Monday, Biden’s chief spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, refused once again to call the surge of thousands of unaccompanied minors a “crisis,” insisting it’s a “circumstance.”

Sen. Ted Cruz Rips Biden for Hypocrisy on Media Blackout of Border

By The Blaze. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is pressuring President Joe Biden to be more transparent with the media about the migrant crisis at the U.S. . .

In a letter to the president, Sen. Cruz said it was “outrageous and hypocritical” of Biden to bar reporters from access to the situation at the border.

“As part of our oversight duties as Senators, I and 14 of my colleagues will travel to the border this week to talk to the brave men and women on the ground who are working every today [sic] to stop this crisis and secure our border,” Cruz wrote.

“But it is not enough for members of the Senate to see what is happening — the American people must see. That is why I requested that members of the media be allowed to join us. But your administration clearly and emphatically refused to offer press access. This is outrageous and hypocritical.”

Trump: ‘Very Bad Hombres’ Crossing the Border

Former President Donald Trump strongly criticized President Joe Biden in an interview Monday for reopening the border by rolling back tough immigration policies and creating a new migrant crisis.

“They’ll be coming up by the millions,” Trump said about the flood of migrants crossing the border into the United States. The former president discussed the border crisis with Fox News host Lisa Boothe in a podcast interview released Monday.

Trump warned Americans the crisis would get far worse during the Biden administration, even though record numbers were already crossing the border.

“It’s nothing compared to what’s going to be in a couple of months,” he said. . .

U.S. Intel Will Report ‘Difficult to Explain’ UFO Sightings

A forthcoming government report will reveal evidence of UFOs breaking the sound barrier without a sonic boom and other “difficult to explain” phenomena, the former Director of National Intelligence said.

John Ratcliffe, the top intelligence official under President Donald Trump, was asked about incidents involving unidentified flying objects on Fox News Friday.

“There are a lot more sightings than have been made public,” he told host Maria Bartiromo. “Some of those have been declassified.”

“And when we talk about sightings,” Ratcliffe continued, “we are talking about objects that have been seen by Navy or Air Force pilots, or have been picked up by satellite imagery that frankly engage in actions that are difficult to explain.”

Leaked Docs Show Obama FTC Gave Google Its Monopoly After Google Execs Helped Obama Get Re-Elected

Eight years ago, the Federal Trade Commission had the chance to face down Google — the giant of Silicon Valley whose power now alters the free flow of information at a global scale, distorts market access for businesses large and small, and changes the nature of independent thought in ways the world has never experienced.

Instead, the FTC blinked — and blinked hard, choosing to close the investigation in early 2013. A remarkable leak to Politico of agency documents about the 2012 Google investigation reveals that, despite ample evidence of market distortions and threats to competition presented by the agency’s lawyers, the five commissioners of the FTC deferred instead to speculative claims by their economists.

Records and reporting about the 2012 investigation suggest the FTC did so while bending to political pressure from the Obama White House — which was, in turn, bending to political pressure from Google. William Kovacic, a former FTC chair under President George W. Bush, reviewed the more than 3,00 pages of documents leaked to Politico and concluded the agency overlooked “what many experts and regulators would consider clear antitrust violations,” calling the specificity of issues outlined “breathtaking.”

In short, where we find ourselves today — with Google as the primary filter of the world’s information, engaging in a network of exclusionary contracts and anti-competitive conduct, and subject to an antitrust lawsuit led by the Department of Justice and joined by 48 state attorneys general — could have, and should have, been avoided.

That it wasn’t, however, provides key takeaways about where we are now with Big Tech, and, in particular, the method of enforcement of our antitrust laws, whose application has become too tightly wrapped around the axle of price, and captured by the speculative science of economic forecasting. It also reveals just how politicized antitrust enforcement has become — influenced by the siren song of internet exceptionalism and the powerful tug of Google, one of the world’s richest companies. HILARIOUS: White House Responds To President Biden Falling on Air Force One

President Biden a took a few tumbles as he was walking up the steps of Air Force One last week. Social media users were brutal, creating some now classic memes to commemorate his missteps. My personal favorite was “Gone With the Wind,” poking fun at White House deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s explanation that the wind caused Biden to trip.

“It’s pretty windy outside,” she said. “It’s very windy. I almost fell coming up the steps myself.” . . .

Reporters worried about the president’s health asked Psaki to give them an update on his condition. . .

“I don’t know if you’ve been up those steps but they’re a little tricky some times,” she added, saying that the president is “doing great.”

Restaurant Owner Put in Jail After Defying COVID Rules

An online fundraising campaign created to support jailed Michigan restaurant owner Marlena Pavlos-Hackney surpassed its original $200,000 goal on Sunday afternoon. The owner of Marlena’s Bistro and Pizzeria was arrested last week after repeatedly refusing to follow the state’s operational mandates for food service establishments during the COVID pandemic.

The fundraising initiative’s host increased the goal to $250,000 on Sunday. Pavlos-Hackney’s legal proceedings have garnered national attention from conservatives, many of whom have pushed back against Michigan’s COVID-19 mitigation measures for the better part of a year. Among other programs she was recently featured on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight.

Hundreds of local residents, hopeful elected officials and state Republican leaders rallied behind Pavlos-Hackney’s cause during a demonstration held outside her eatery on Saturday in Holland, Michigan. . .

Pavlos-Hackney appeared before Ingham County Circuit Judge Rosemarie Aquilina during a court hearing on Friday, and will remain in custody at Ingham County jail while state personnel monitor the restaurant to confirm it is truly closed. The owner also faces a $7,500 fine, which she voiced intent to pay on Friday in addition to shutting down the restaurant. Aquilina further ordered that Richard Martin, who attempted to represent Pavlos-Hackney during the hearing without a license to practice law in Michigan, be held in contempt of court for up to 93 days. Black Man Ranting About ‘White Devils’ Stabs Child, 12, in Neck With Box Cutter

A Pittsburgh man reportedly ranting about “white devils” is in custody after allegedly tackling a 12-year-old boy from behind and stabbing him in the neck with a box cutter while he and his family were waiting in line at a McDonald’s restaurant Saturday afternoon.

Charles Edward Turner, 51, is charged with attempted homicide, four counts of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault and resisting arrest after the horrifying incident police described as showing “extreme indifference to the value of human life.”

WPXI-TV reported: “Police said a family of four was standing in line when a man tackled the child from behind and stabbed the boy in the neck. Family members immediately tried to get Turner off the child and struggled to restrain him. As one family member helped the injured boy another continued to hold Turner down, who pushed back biting him and causing him to bleed.”

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports the criminal complaint explained “Turner fought with officers as they tried to arrest him. The complaint alleges that Mr. Turner used racial slurs against officers, patrons and employees during his arrest and bit one of the witnesses.”

Last week, Biden called Vice President Kamala Harris “President Harris” before stumbling three times while going up the steps to Air Force One.

Biden was boarding the jet at Joint Base Andrews for a flight to Atlanta when he stumbled, got up, stumbled a second time and finally a third, landing on his knee.

Texas Roadhouse Founder Takes His Life After Worsening Post-Coronavirus Symptoms

Texas Roadhouse CEO and founder Kent Taylor died Thursday after he took his own life following a worsening battle with post-coronavirus symptoms. . .

Greg Moore, Lead Director of Texas Roadhouse, said Taylor touched everyone he met in a statement on behalf of the Board of Directors.

“During this pandemic, he gave up his entire compensation package to help support his frontline workers,” Moore said. “This selfless act was no surprise to anyone who knew Kent and his strong belief in servant leadership. He was without a doubt, a people-first leader. His entrepreneurial spirit will live on in the company he built, the projects he supported and the lives he touched.” . . .

Taylor died by suicide after his post-coronavirus symptoms worsened, a joint statement from Taylor’s family and Texas Roadhouse obtained by the Daily Caller said. Taylor was reportedly suffering from severe tinnitus, which causes ringing in the ear. The coronavirus can make this condition worse, according to the Associated Press.

After Thousands of Electronic Votes Fraudulently Cast for Biden, Michigan County Votes for Hand-Counts Only in Next Election

A small county in northern Michigan voted to conduct a hand count for its primary election instead of using its Dominion Voting Systems machines that became the subject of a lawsuit that has drawn national attention.

Commissioners in Antrim County rejected a request last week from the chief election officer, who sought $5,080 to hire consultants to prepare their Dominion machines for the May 4 contest, and voted unanimously to keep the equipment “on ice,” according to the Traverse City Record-Eagle.

Antrim County Clerk Sheryl Guy, who issued the request, said the machines were not “certified for use” as required by the Michigan secretary of state because of a forensic examination conducted in December as part of the November election lawsuit against the county.

The commissioners voted on Thursday to instead conduct a hand count of ballots for the May primary election. According to the report, Guy said this could run afoul of state law given the type of precinct paper that was approved.
