Report: Grandma-Killer Governor Undercounted COVID-19 Deaths in Nursing Homes

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo lied about the number of COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes due to his inadequate leadership and policy that sent infected patients into care facilities during the pandemic.

In a new, lengthy report following months of a highly-anticipated investigation into the deadly neglect, New York state Attorney General Letitia James found that Cuomo, his administration, and the state’s Health Department severely undercounted the number of COVID-related deaths in nursing homes by as much as 50 percent. One example cited in the report shows that a long-term care facility that the state claimed only had 11 deaths from COVID-19 actually lost 40 people to the virus, with more than half occurring at the home. . .

Originally, the state recorded more than 8,500 Wuhan virus deaths of nursing home residents following Cuomo’s March 25, 2020 order, which said elderly patients with COVID-19, discharged from hospitals, should return back to their care facilities. The order extended for more than a month, leading to the infection of thousands of vulnerable people in close quarters with contagious co-residents. These thousands of nursing home infections and deaths were concerning to the families of the patients and to members of the public who questioned the state’s policy to count only COVID-19 deaths that occurred at the facility and ignore the deaths of residents who contracted the virus in their nursing home but later died in the hospital. . .

2020 Election: Maricopa County Officials Approve Forensic Audit of Voting Systems

Maricopa County in Arizona will carry out a comprehensive forensic audit of its voting systems to allay concerns raised by some constituents about the integrity of the November 2020 election.

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously at a Jan. 27 meeting to hire two independent companies to conduct an audit that will review whether voting machines counted votes correctly, and whether they were tampered with or hacked in any way.

The Republican-dominated board defended the accuracy of the county’s election results, while expressing hope that a comprehensive equipment and software audit would dispel concerns that the results were inaccurate. . .

According to information from the meeting, the “multi-layered forensic audit” will include a software, hardware, and financial review of voting systems. A vulnerability analysis will be performed, along with a check for malware and a test to verify that tabulators didn’t send or receive information over the internet. Additionally, a logic and accuracy test of the county’s tabulation equipment will be conducted to verify whether ballots were counted accurately and to confirm that no votes were switched. Disturbing Court Documents: Ghislaine Maxwell Forced Young Girls to Do Sexual Performances for Jeffrey Epstein

Accused madam Ghislaine Maxwell directed a room full of young girls to “kiss, dance and touch one another in a sexual way” for Jeffrey Epstein’s gratification, according to newly unsealed court documents. The alleged orgy-like performance by underage girls was detailed by an unidentified witness and alleged in 112 court documents that were released late Wednesday.

Shocking new court documents also expose explicit details about the madam and convicted pedophile by Anthony Figueroa, the ex-boyfriend of Virginia Roberts Giuffre, the longtime accuser of Epstein and Maxwell.

Giuffre, who has since settled a lawsuit against Maxwell, was allegedly forced into a threesome after “Jeffrey wanted Virginia to have sex with Ms. Maxwell,” the Daily Mail reported. The pair allegedly used sex toys during the romp, court documents say.

“Ms. Maxwell and Jeffrey would obviously be doing stuff, all three of them together,” Figueroa said, according to court documents. “Like I said, that they would all go out to clubs to pick up girls and try and find them to bring back for Jeffrey. And then she told me about how, like I said, her and Ms. Maxwell and Jeffrey were all intimate together on multiple occasions.”

Is Anyone Going to Ask Why Thousands of Troops Are Still in DC After Biden’s Inauguration?

Joe Biden is president. The inauguration is over. So, why do we still have troops in the capital? Nearly 30,000 men were deployed to provide security for the January 20 mostly COVID-safe festivities. . .

The Biden administration is here—and so is the National Guard. They’re staying. Some 5,000 troops will remain to provide security as Congress navigates through Trump’s second impeachment. As Cortney noted earlier, the new measures are not being well-received (via Politico):

Former President Donald Trump’s upcoming Senate impeachment trial poses a security concern that federal law enforcement officials told lawmakers last week requires as many as 5,000 National Guard troops to remain in Washington through mid-March, according to four people familiar with the matter.

The contingency force will help protect the Capitol from what was described as “impeachment security concerns,” including the possibility of mass demonstrations coinciding with the Senate’s trial, which is slated to begin the week of Feb. 8.

Despite the threat, the citizen soldiers on the ground say they have been given little information about the extension and wonder why they are being forced to endure combat-like conditions in the nation’s capital without a clear mission.

Everyone Agrees the New Capitol Security Measure Is Awful

Three weeks after the deadly riots on Capitol Hill, a major change is coming to the People’s House. According to the acting Capitol Police chief, a permanent security fence is going to be installed in front of the Capitol.

“Vast improvements to the physical security infrastructure must be made to include permanent fencing,” Acting U.S. Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman announced. As you can see, the Capitol will not look quite as inviting.

Oh, for PETA’s Sake! Animal Advocacy Group Denounces Insults Like ‘Chicken’ or ‘Pig’

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals demanded this week that people stop using “speciesist” terms such as “chicken,” “pig” or “rat” as insults for humans — and promptly got ripped as dodos for the stunt.

The PETA tweet was so widely mocked online that it soon boasted an embarrassing ratio of almost 11,000 comments to just over 3,000 likes as of Thursday morning.

“Calling someone an animal as an insult reinforces the myth that humans are superior to other animals & justified in violating them,” the animal-rights advocacy group said in its earnest call to action. “Stand up for justice by rejecting supremacist language.”

PETA social-media reps also included a chart detailing the human “supremacist” terminology and suggesting alternative language such as using “coward” instead of “chicken,” “snitch” in lieu of “rat,” “jerk” rather than “snake,” “repulsive” rather than “pig” and “lazy” to cast aspersions onto someone with sloth-like tendencies.

Proud Boy Leader, Arrested in DC, Was a Federal Informant

The leader of the Proud Boys, a far-right extremist group involved in the Capitol riot, went undercover to assist Miami police and cooperated with the FBI in multiple drug and illegal gambling investigations, a court transcript shows.

The man, Henry “Enrique” Tarrio, 36, began working with the FBI after he was arrested in 2013 on federal fraud charges related to a scheme to sell stolen diabetic test strips well below market value, according to the transcript, which was reviewed by NBC News. . .

In arguing for a reduced sentence, the prosecutor said Tarrio had helped federal law enforcement agencies prosecute 13 other people in two separate indictments. . .

Messages left at the listed numbers for Tarrio, who was arrested in Washington, D.C., two days before the storming of the Capitol, were not returned. In an interview with Reuters, which first reported his role as a law enforcement cooperator, Tarrio denied working with the police. . .

Democrats Introduce Bill That Would Add a 51st State

House and Senate Democrats introduced legislation Wednesday that would make Washington, D.C., the 51st state.

The measure was reintroduced in the House by Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton, a Democrat who represents the District of Columbia, and its companion was unveiled in the Senate by Sen. Tom Carper, D-Del. As of Tuesday evening, Norton said that she had more than 200 co-sponsors in the House.

“There’s never been a time when statehood for the District was more likely,” Norton said in a statement, adding the bill was passed by the House last year for the first time and now had a “record” 202 co-sponsors. With the Senate companion bill also gaining co-sponsors, “we’re ready to achieve voting representation and full local self-government for the 712,000+ residents of the District of Columbia,” she said.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., have committed to bringing the bill to the floor for a vote, Norton said. Not Even Amateur Radio Will Be Safe in the Future: Mass Collection of RF Audio and Geolocational Data Underway

In the past, intelligence analysts have only had access to classified government satellite data when assessing radio frequency use all over the world. Now, a pilot program with HawkEye 360 is feeding those analysts commercial RF data, potentially opening the floodgates to a torrent of new unclassified data.

“NGA’s analyst community has never had access to commercial RF before. It’s always been in the domain of the government, for them to collect and supply to the analyst,” CEO John Serafini told C4ISRNET. “It’s been highly classified data.”

RF signals play a massive role in the modern world, enabling communications across vast distances without physical connections. With its formation-flying satellites, HawkEye 360 aims to make that invisible world visible. It’s satellites can detect RF emissions all over the world, which can then be used to identify and geolocate the signals’ origins. That level of analysis has a number of applications for the defense and intelligence community, from simply improving maritime domain awareness by detecting ships that have disabled their automatic identification system, to giving war fighters a better understanding of RF activity on the battlefield.

In September, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency launched the RF GEOINT Pilot program, importing HawkEye 360′s unclassified data as well as the company’s processed analytics.

Woman Who Was Fired After Capitol Riots Sues Former Employer for Adopting Version of Events Advanced by ‘Cancel Culture Media’

A California woman who was fired after posting about her so-called uplifting experience at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 filed a wrongful termination and retaliation lawsuit claiming that she merely participated in a peaceful protest while her employer had simply bought into a “cancel culture” narrative.

Leah Snyder, a computer programmer and coder at Alight Solutions, was terminated after she posted two selfies of herself at the Capitol, claiming it “was a peaceful and fun day,” and telling others the media was lying about what transpired.

Another social media user pointed out the fact that people had died during the riots, saying that was a pretty clear indicator of who was actually lying about happened.

“Yes. The media,” Snyder answered. “If people got in it’s because they let them in. I think the woman shot was a huge mistake. I talked to the guards. They said they were told to stand down until they got an order and were super nice. They said they would let us know if they did. They never did the whole time. We were told to go home around 5 and everyone did. So nope. Not a liar. The media is. Turn it off for the love of god.”

Snyder’s filed complaint said she had nothing to do with the insurrection at the Capitol—which resulted in at least five deaths (including one police officer), and dozens of arrests. Snyder, like others who were fired after self-reporting their presence at the Capitol on Jan. 6, said she was only peacefully protesting that day.
